Frenzy. That is the right word to describe what's happening in Seoul National Alphas University right now. As the name reveals, Seoul's most prestigious university, that all wolves despite of their sub-gender dream to attend, is reserved for alphas only. Well, it was reserved for alphas only, until now.Today, the new omega arrives.Word travels fast around campus, and things like these don't stay hidden for long, so everyone already knows his name; Park Jimin. That single name had alphas of all years on edge the whole day, their wolves restless, waiting for the omega to enter the school's ground. It is the first time since the foundation of the university back in 1946 that an omega is allowed to join this school. Apparently, the Dean of the university thought it was time for a change, and who is better to test this new change than Park Jimin, an ace and excellent model student? He had exceeded all his subjects and exams until now and he was always on top of his class. It didn't take long for the Dean to choose him as the first omega to come and study at SNAU. This was a shock to everyone, it was new and surprising, and there were conflicted opinions about this decision.Even so, the one emotion that is prominent in all the wolves' scents right now, is excitement. They may know the new student's name, but they don't know what he looks like. And alphas were alphas, the fact that an omega is going to soon be walking down these corridors is a welcome change of scenery.Jimin, on the other hand, isn't at all excited to start studying in a school full of alphas. He thinks all alphas are arrogant, cocky, selfish and want omegas only for their bodies. The only reason he accepted to come to SNAU was because he had two goals. First, he is ambitious and dreams of becoming a journalist, and second, he wants—no, he needs—to succeed so he can support his mother and little sister. This university is his gold ticket. There is no room for mistakes now. He worked his ass off to get in here, and he won't let anyone take this opportunity away from him."Are you going to be alright?" his mother asks, concern lacing her voice.Jimin averts his eyes from the big, impressive building outside and turns to look at her, offering a small smile. "Of course, Mama."He hates goodbyes, that's why he chose to say them to his mother and sister before they took off to drive here. His mom cried, he cried, and Yuna, his little sibling, not really understanding fully that Jimin won't be coming home for a while, attempted to hug them both with her small hands and make them feel better.Jimin tries not to think about these events from yesterday, or else he will tear up again."Call me if anything happens, okay?""Nothing will happen, don't worry." The pink-haired reaches over to give her a small hug. "Thank you for dropping me off. I'll call you once I settle in my dorm, okay?"His mother nods, although she seems hesitant to leave him, her eyes glassy as she hugs him closer. Jimin smiles at her again, releasing calming pheromones to help soothe her a little."I have to go. Tell Yuna I love her, okay?"The woman hums in agreement as Jimin gets out of the car. He closes the door behind him and stands for a moment, throwing a finger-heart at his mother, who laughs upon seeing the action. She throws him a finger-heart back and Jimin's crescent-eyed smile takes its place on his features. His mother takes off after that (not before shouting 'I love you' through the closed window) and the omega stays behind to wave at her as the car disappears from his sight. Once the vehicle is gone, Jimin feels his heart sink to his stomach. He may have tried to appear fine and happy but, reality is, he's going to miss his family a lot. He's never been so far away from them before and this doesn't settle well with him.Jimin takes a deep breath and shakes his head. Now is not the time to be sentimental. He lets his backpack fall loosely on his shoulder, runs a hand through his hair and makes his way toward the university.Once he steps in, all eyes are on him. Literally. It's as if time has stopped at that moment. Alphas from all directions halt what they were doing upon smelling the new, sweet scent, and start gawking at Jimin, eyes wide and glinting. Some even push aside their friends so they can have a better look at him.Jimin knew this would happen. He deliberately didn't wear scent blockers—he's not going to hide his scent just because some wolves can't restrain themselves. The omega continues to strut through the big hall and toward the Dean's office, ignoring all the hungry gazes thrown his way and the expressions of awe and lust. He even hears some whistles in the background.Jimin scoffs internally. Fucking animals.Even though his skin tingles with nervousness at all the attention, he keeps his head held high and manages to maintain a straight face, not wanting to give these alphas the satisfaction that he is even remotely affected by them."Now that is an omega.""Fuck, man, he's hot.""Should I ask him out now or now?""Don't be stupid, I'm sure you're not his type. Me, on the other hand…""Damn, is he even real?""Okay, but that ass…"Jimin wants to snicker at all of them. If they think they have a chance with him, they are all terribly wrong. This is why he doesn't like alphas. Always so cocky, thinking they are so hot that no one can resist them. Well, breaking news, he can. Jimin can't wait to put some of them back in their place while he is here.Once he is outside the Dean's office and there aren't any unwelcome, intense stares directed at him anymore, he lets out a breath he didn't even realize he was holding. As much as the pink-haired boy hates to admit it, it is still unsettling for him to be looked at like that by alphas. He's not afraid, though, if anything, he knows how to fight.Jimin knocks on the door gently but determined, going inside the big space once he was given permission. ୨୧ By the time Jimin is done talking with the Dean about his program, professors and general rules, it is already noon. His stomach protests to be fed, though he pushes aside any thought for food. All he wants to do now is go to his dorm room, take a bath and relax for the day. It's a good thing that the dorms are only a ten minute walk from campus. As he wanders through the new building, some of the residents there stop to shamelessly stare at him.Jimin rolls his eyes at how obvious they are being, and how they don't even care about it.Alphas, he thinks and scrunches his nose in disgust."Hey!" a voice suddenly calls out and, out of instinct, he turns to locate the source of the sound.A tall, handsome alpha stands just a few meters away from him. He has light brown hair and a woodsy scent. The taller smiles at him, approaching him with confident steps.Jimin only arches an eyebrow at him, not bothering to greet back."You're the new guy, right? I'm Dae-Hyun. Do you need help finding your dorm room?" the alpha asks with a lopsided smirk.Jimin can't control himself and snorts. Really? Really? He's not even an hour here and they already try to hit on him. Just great."I'm fine. And even if I needed help, trust me, I wouldn't ask you," the omega responds, faking a polite smile. The guy's (what was his name again?) face falls at that, his jaw going slack in bewilderment. Jimin turns on his heels, not sparing him another glance, and heads toward his room.He doesn't have any difficulty finding it, and thankfully it's one of the more isolated rooms in the dorms. There may not be separate dorms for omegas, as he is the first one to study here, but at least he has his own room. The moment the door closes behind him, Jimin rests his back on the wood, allowing himself to finally relax. He closes his eyes, sighing. Although, his moment of peace is short-lived—suddenly his wolf's instincts go alert and two strong scents fill his nostrils. His eyes fly open, only to come face to face with two alphas looking at him with the same confusion and shock written on their faces.Jimin instantly detaches himself from the door and his body stiffens, eyeing the two boys warily."What the fuck are you doing in my room?" His mouth moves faster than his brain, the words flying out before he has a chance to think them over."We could ask the same," one of them says, pinching his eyebrows together. He is taller than Jimin and has curly brown hair and tanned skin. "And, your room? I think you've got it wrong, buddy."The pink-haired narrows his eyes at him but stays silent, trying to comprehend these words. He is too tired and his thoughts just won't cooperate with him. Suddenly, a gasp erupts from the other alpha and Jimin flicks his eyes over to him."Wait! Aren't you the new student, the first omega to study at SNAU?"Jimin resists the urge to roll his eyes. "Yeah, so?"The alpha squeals, a heart smile splitting through his face. "Oh my God! You're even prettier than I imagined! Welcome, I'm Hoseok!"He attempts to come closer to Jimin, but the latter takes a step back, a growl building in his throat and eyes flashing yellow.Hoseok halts his movements, deflating and smile faltering. "Sorry. I just wanted to give you a hug…""Better not," Jimin replies coldly.A hug? Is he serious? It's not like they are friends from kindergarten, for fuck's sake! The brunette boy pouts and nods, and Jimin thinks for a split second that he is too cute to be an alpha. Still, though, he is. And he tried to hug Jimin out of the blue, like they are close or something, and like he and his friend aren't in his room, invading his space."I'm gonna ask this again, why are you in my room?" Jimin demands, looking between the alphas. The taller of them, who's name Jimin still doesn't know, and frankly doesn't care enough to ask, sighs, irritated. "I told you, this isn't your room. We live here.""But…" The omega blinks, confused and frustrated. "This is room 613, right?"Hoseok nods. "Yes."Jimin glances to his side, where his suitcases lay on the floor. He surely remembers correctly that this is the room they assigned him, he even sent his stuff beforehand to be delivered here. So why are these two saying that it's their dorm? They're not lying though, Jimin can tell from their scents, but this is what confuses him even more. He wants to scream and cry, this day has already been exhausting and he just wants to rest, not argue with two strangers about a room that was supposedly his."Well, this is the room they assigned me," the smaller settles on saying, standing his ground even with all his inner turmoil. He immediately fishes his phone out of his pocket and searches through his screenshots, finding the one that contains his dorm details. He turns the device toward the other two. "See? Room 613. I didn't make a mistake."The curly-haired alpha leans forward a bit to read the screenshot, and then shrugs. "I don't know what to tell you. Maybe they got confused and put you here?"Hoseok makes a sound of surprise and tugs at the other's arm. "Wait, wasn't Jeongguk supposed to move in with us?""Oh, fuck, you're right," the alpha replies, seeming deep in thought. "They must have switched you on accident."Jimin frowns. "Great. Just what I needed.""Hey, don't worry," Hoseok offers him a gentle smile. "We'll find Jeongguk and tell him to switch back. You're going to be in your dorm room in no time!"This does little to ease the tightness in Jimin's chest, but he sports a small smile at the brunette, despite himself, the warmth Hoseok radiates being almost comforting."Okay. Where is that Jeongguk guy?"The taller of the three snorts, crossing his arms over his chest. "Yeah, good luck with that. The boy doesn't step foot on campus for one week every start of the semester. I don't even know why he does that."Jimin looks at him with a blank face, expecting the alpha to tell him this is a joke. When he doesn't, the omega rubs his hands all over his face, exasperated."Great. This is terrific!" he mocks, voice turning up in volume, and lets his body slump back onto the door, sighing in defeat. "Now I'm stuck with two alphas for a week! It hasn't even been a day and everything is falling apart already!""Hey, I told you we're gonna get this fixed as soon as Jeongguk comes back to campus," the alpha snaps. "No need to be so whiny. And, for your information, not all alphas are jerks like you seem to think."After that, he takes off toward the open kitchen, just a few steps away from them, his scent giving out that he's the slightest bit annoyed by Jimin's behavior. The latter looks at him offended, but he can't help the small pang of guilt that reverberates through his chest. It's true, Hoseok has been nothing but nice to him since he arrived and, even though the other alpha wasn't particularly mean nor friendly, he, too, didn't attempt to hit on him like the other alphas he came across today.Jimin glances down at his feet, regret and guilt clawing at his skin, though he refuses to apologize. He knows he should, it's not the time to be prideful, but he feels too embarrassed at the moment to do so."Your name is Jimin, right?"He lifts his head to see Hoseok looking at him with the same warm smile from before. He had stepped closer to the omega, although reluctantly and keeping a safe distance between them. Even so, his apple pie scent surrounds Jimin, yet he doesn't find it disgusting or overwhelming. It is rather… nice.He nods, averting his gaze to the floor again."Don't mind Taehyung, Jimin-ah. He's just grumpy I didn't let him buy ice cream on the way back home," Hoseok says, waving a dismissing hand."Yah!" the alpha—Taehyung—shouts from the small kitchen. "I'm not grumpy! And you're a hater for not liking ice cream.""I didn't say I don't like ice cream! But who even eats ice cream in September?" Hoseok counters, rolling his eyes at him."It's not even that cold yet!""Weather can be deceiving, you should know that by now, with how many times you had a sore throat last winter!" Hoseok scolds."In my defense, I don't regret a thing," Taehyung exclaims matter-of-factly.The brunette scoffs and Taehyung huffs out in response.Jimin finds himself smiling upon witnessing the two alphas bicker, but he's quick to hide it when Hoseok turns to face him again."He's so annoying sometimes," he whispers conspiratorially at Jimin, and the latter doesn't try to suppress his giggle this time."I heard that!" Taehyung shouts from his room now."Good, I was afraid I wasn't loud enough!"Jimin now allows himself to freely laugh, suddenly feeling way more better and comfortable than before. His body isn't tense anymore and his wolf is calm, not threatened like before.Hoseok stares back at him and immediately laughs along, his heart smile appearing once again. Once the laughter dies down, the brunette still has this cheerful sparkle in his eyes, his happy demeanor never fading. Jimin thinks that he hasn't seen another alpha shining so bright before."Do you need help with these?" Hoseok asks, pointing at the suitcases on the floor. The omega nods—they have started on the wrong foot, but he wants to make up for his behavior. Maybe spending some more time with the alphas and being kinder would help with that."Yes, thank you. Also, uh…" Jimin hesitates, looking anywhere but at Hoseok. "I'm sorry about how I acted earlier. It's just… I had a long day. It doesn't justify my bad manners, I know, but I haven't exactly had many good encounters with alphas before, so…""Oh, there's no need to apologize!" Hoseok reassures him and comes closer to him. When Jimin doesn't flinch away, he grins and places a tentative hand on his shoulder. "I know it must be scary, coming inside your room and finding two alphas standing in front of you. Anyone would react the way you did! I just hope you'll feel comfortable enough around us to be friends with us."Jimin glances up at him, finding nothing but sincerity pooling in Hoseok's eyes. The pink-haired offers a small smile and nods."Yeah, I think I'd like that."Hoseok beams and claps his hands in excitement. Jimin discovers that he likes seeing the alpha happy. He doesn't know what it is, but he feels content with Hoseok's presence around him, almost… safe. They haven't known each other for an hour, yet the brunette doesn't make him feel on edge or uncomfortable. When he first walked into the dorm, sure, yes, though that was because Jimin was startled and surprised to see two alphas in front of him.Okay, maybe not all alphas are bad after all.And in the next couple of hours, while he and Hoseok chat and tidy his stuff in his given room together, he decides that maybe, just maybe, he will be able to make some friends here. ୨୧ "Damn. You're so fine, you made me forget my pick-up line."Jimin slams the door of his locker closed and turns to see an alpha leaning on the lockers beside him, a smug smirk on his face, hands in his pockets. The omega arches a brow, disinterest written all over his features. He resists the urge to sigh—this is the third time something like this happens; and it's only ten in the morning."Good. No pick-up line would make me go out with you, anyway."Jimin doesn't stay to watch the alpha's expression turn into shock, or to hear the mocking oooh's coming from his friends. He walks toward his next class, doing his best to ignore all the stares that are thrown his way. Jimin isn't oblivious—he knows he's pretty. More than pretty, actually, he has a certain beauty, a natural glow, that attracts wolves, regardless if they are alphas, betas or omegas. However, he always hated it when alphas looked at him like that. Like he was a prey they wanted to hunt down and make theirs. It's been four days since he's been here, yet the advances he receives every day are innumerable. Of course, the pink-haired rejects all of them. He didn't fight toe and nail to leave the university he was in, which was considerably less prestigious and high quality than SNAU, to come study for his junior and senior year here just to start dating. He can do that whenever he wants, and now is not the time. Not that he had many worthy suitors anyway."Hey, shorty," a deep voice greets, and in the next minute he feels someone ruffling his hair.Jimin ducks his head, annoyed, and turns to glare at Taehyung."Yah! Don't call me that!"Taehyung grins. "Sure, shorty." Jimin growls at him, but the taller just laughs. "Netflix and pizza tonight with Seok. Are you in?"The omega nods, readjusting his bag on his shoulder. "I'll probably be a little late. I want to go to the library after dance practice.""Nerd." Taehyung snorts and Jimin smacks him on the arm, eyes narrowing. The alpha throws his hands in the air, a boxy smile finding its way on his lips. "Damn, are all omegas this violent?""Only if stupid alphas get on our nerves." Jimin offers a sarcastic smile, making Taehyung chuckle again."See you tonight, shorty!" Taehyung responds instead and ruffles his hair one more time before walking away, not giving the smaller the chance to curse at him.Jimin shakes his head, rolling his eyes, although the corners of his lips quirk up.These past few days he has spent more time with his alpha roommates, and even though he feels closer to Hoseok, his relationship with Taehyung has progressed to… friendly acquaintances? He can't call the dark-haired his friend, but Jimin feels like they're getting there. The omega knows of course that, in the short period of four days, it's impossible for them two to be friends so soon. Yet. Taehyung, Jimin discovered, was actually a really pleasant company, he was funny and cute and a tease sometimes, but he never made the smaller uncomfortable. The omega felt this weird and unexplainable pull toward Taehyung every time they were together. It wasn't a romantic feeling, Jimin could tell, but his gut was telling him to trust him and his wolf always felt peaceful around the alpha. He didn't understand what this was, but he didn't dwell on it.As Jimin walks down the hall, his phone buzzes in his hand. A message from Hoseok.Hoseok: Hey! You're coming to dance practice today, right?Hoseok: Make sure to bring a water bottle with you!As Jimin sends a positive response to Hoseok, he thanks the heavens for SNAU having a dance team. His last university had one too, but it wasn't as advanced as this one.The omega may want to become a journalist one day, but dance has always been his passion. It's what kept him going, the one escape he resorted to every time he felt like he couldn't breathe, the one thing he could be himself without any explanation or justification. His mother has been a significant factor in his love for dance, always encouraging him to go after his dreams. Dance is his first love, and Jimin is sure it will also be his last.As he enters the lecture room, another alpha comes up to him, looking as smug as the previous one did, and hands Jimin a paper with his phone number on it.Jimin smiles politely before crumbling the paper and throwing it into the dustbin.Seriously, do they never stop? Jimin scoffs at his own thoughts. Of course not, they're alphas. Hurt their ego and they'll try harder than before.Jimin puts on his earphones for the rest of the time until the professor arrives, so that no one will come and disturb him. ୨୧ The pink-haired is in the library when his phone starts vibrating. He picks it up where its laying on the table and sees that it's a video call from his mother. He immediately accepts it with the biggest smile on his face. "Hi, Mama!""Oh, my baby!" the woman coos. "I missed you so much! How are you? How is school?""I missed you too, Mama. School is great, and I'm fine. Actually—""Oppa!" A high-pitched voice suddenly calls, and his mother gasps in surprise as his little sister takes the phone from her hand. The image changes and now his sister is on the screen, smiling a big toothless smile. "Oppa! I missed you!"Jimin chuckles fondly at her, caressing his phone screen with his thumb absentmindedly. "Hey, little monster. I missed you, too. Are you being a good girl to Mama?"Yuna nods frantically. "Yes, I am! Right, Mama?"Their mother laughs beside her and agrees.
"Oppa! Today our teacher told us to draw our hero in class and I drew you! You wanna see?"
Jimin's eyes go a little wide at the revelation, and he feels a familiar tingling behind them, bothering him. His heart swells with love for his little sister and he feels pride and adoration running through his veins. He blinks away unshed tears and nods with a smile."I'd love to, princess."Jimin spends the next hour talking and laughing with his mother and sister, a familiar warmth spreading through his body at seeing them and hearing them again, even though their last video call was two days ago. He almost forgets he had plans with his roommates for tonight. ୨୧ "I need a coffee immediately."Namjoon snorts. "Then go and get one? We're literally in the cafeteria."Jeongguk groans and slumps back on his chair, running a hand through his disheveled hair. He barely managed to wake up today, he almost missed the alarm, and he desperately needed his daily dose of caffeine if he was going to make it through the day.The dark-haired looks up at Namjoon, widening his eyes a bit on purpose. The other alpha raises a brow, clearly not having it."No way.""Please, hyung!""I'm not getting you coffee just because you're too lazy to go get one for yourself.""I'll pay you.""No.""Five thousand won.""Do you think I'm that cheap?""Eight thousand won!""Wow, you flatter me so much.""Come on, hyung!""What does the baby want again?" Seokjin asks as he comes into view and takes a seat beside Namjoon, with Yoongi behind him following suit. Seokjin leans on Namjoon and pecks his cheek as a form of greeting. In return, the taller rests his hand on his thigh, squeezing lightly at the flesh. Jeongguk will call them out for their disgusting couple-y behavior later. He huffs out. "I'm not a baby.""Then why are you whining like one?""Seokjin hyung!" Jeongguk complains. "This is why you're my least favorite."Yoongi chuckles at that, sipping from his coffee as he plays with his phone, and Seokjin gapes at him in shock."Yah, you brat! How dare you speak to me like that, I basically raised you!" he scolds.Jeongguk rolls his eyes. "Whatever, old man.""I'm seriously going to beat your ass.""Bring it on.""Yah, both of you, stop it," Yoongi chimes in, drawing his eyebrows together. "You're both annoying and causing me a headache. Here, Gguk, have some of my coffee."Jeongguk smirks triumphantly at Namjoon, who only rolls his eyes."Thanks, Yoongles. This is why you're my favorite hyung.""Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just stop arguing," Yoongi dismisses, going back to playing on his phone.Namjoon throws him a look. "How did you know that's what he wanted?"Yoongi clicks his tongue and lifts his head to glance at Namjoon like his question was unnecessary."Whenever he's this grumpy there's only one thing he wants, and that's coffee," he states the obvious."I think he hangs out with you too much. You're both coffee addicts at this point," Seokjin comments, sipping at his own coffee."You're literally drinking coffee, Jin.""That's different! I'm not obsessed with it, unlike you.""Oh yeah? I'd like to see you try and not drink coffee every day, then," Jeongguk challenges with a mocking raise of his pierced brow.If there is one thing all the alphas in this friend group loves, it's coffee. Jeongguk doesn't remember a day where he hadn't seen his friends with a cup of coffee in their hands, but honestly he can't blame them. He's the same, if not worse, when it comes to the addictive taste of caffeine.Seokjin glares at him. "You shut up, coconut head."Jeongguk frowns, offended, and opens his mouth to reply, but the words get caught up inside his throat when the door of the cafeteria opens and a sweet, intoxicating scent clouds his senses. He turns his head abruptly, only to have his breath punched out of his lungs at the sight. A beautiful—no, ethereal—omega just walked in, fluffy pink hair bouncing as he walks gracefully and hips swaying at his sides. Jeongguk's eyes move on their own, checking the omega out. Rosy cheeks, plump lips, tiny hands and jeans that accentuate the curve of his ass.The alpha whistles lowly at the view. Because that's a view."Who is this?" he asks curiously, eyes glued to the ethereal being, watching his every move.Seokjin snickers. "You can't have possibly not heard about the first omega that joined SNAU. It was all over the news! Come on, Jeongguk, I want to give you some credit, but you gotta help me a little here."Only then does Jeongguk peel his eyes off the omega, turning to snarl at Seokjin. The older only sticks his tongue out at him."Of course I heard, I don't live under a rock. I just didn't know he was so hot.""That's what happens when you're absent for a week," Namjoon says nonchalantly, readjusting his specs on top of his nose. "Honestly, how does coach never scold you?"Jeongguk chuckles. "I'm his best player, he will just make me run more laps, nothing too major. And you know I need time to accept the fact that school is starting again.""Yeah, and apparently the breaks in-between semesters don't help," Seokjin mocks but Jeongguk ignores him, returning his attention to the omega."Jimin has caused quite the fuss here," Yoongi comments, gaze never leaving his phone.
So that's his name. Interesting.
Seokjin nudges him playfully with his elbow. "Don't act like you didn't ogle at him too when you first saw him around campus.""Shut up," Yoongi grunts, although a faint blush is starting to spread on his cheeks.Jeongguk lifts an inquiring eyebrow. "What do you mean? What has he done? Jimin, I mean." The name rolls so easy on his tongue, the alpha likes it.Namjoon snorts. "Boy, you really shouldn't miss school even for a day.""Apart from having all alphas either at his feet or lusting over him, nothing." Seokjin shrugs. As if on cue, an alpha, Joon-Woo—Jeongguk recognises him as one of his teammates—approaches Jimin. He taps the omega on the shoulder and the latter turns to face him with an impassive look on his face. Joon-Woo tells something to him and then hands him a single flower, a red rose. His friends, who are sitting at a table not too far away, laugh and whisper with each other while looking at them.Jeongguk watches curiously as Jimin rolls his eyes, moves past the alpha and…Throws the flower in the trash.Jeongguk's eyebrows shoot up in surprise, though an amused smirk is playing on his lips.Joon-Woo's friends are quick to make fun of him when he goes back to his table, patting him on the back to comfort him and rubbing his head, while the other alphas around the cafeteria that witnessed the scene sneer under their breaths, happy that Joon Woo didn't get the omega. The rejected alpha, on the other hand, looks nothing but angry. Jeongguk knows him, they've spent way too much time together at practice and classes they share, and he knows Joon-Woo isn't an alpha that handles rejection well. His ego must be really bruised right now."Can you believe this idiot," Jeongguk laughs, referring to what just happened in front of them. "He really thought that by offering a flower he'd win the omega over? I bet he said something cheesy too, in hopes of getting his attention.""Well, it's not like Jimin has said yes to anyone," Yoongi says, taking his coffee from Jeongguk's hand to drink from it.The dark-haired is so surprised by the revelation, he doesn't even try to fight Yoongi so he can have the coffee completely for himself."What do you mean?"The older shrugs, gaze disinterested when he glances back at him. "I mean, many wolves have tried to gain his attention since he arrived, but he's said 'no' to all of them."Jeongguk is stunned, to say the least, how can an omega stay so unbothered when so many alphas show interest in them? Especially from this university? He stays silent for a few seconds, letting the information sink in. Then, a smug grin splits across his face."Oh no," Seokjin sighs when he notices the expression on the other alpha's face. "He's going to say something stupid, I feel it."Jeongguk ignores him. "Well that omega clearly hasn't met me."Seokjin wheezes. "There it is.""What? I'm serious. You know no omega or beta can resist me," he says arrogantly, crossing his arms. And it's true—in all his life, Jeongguk has never been told no. He was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth and, as the only child, his parents spoiled him a lot. Whatever Jeongguk wanted, he got it. That, of course, served in his teen and adult years, up until now, as a belief that the alpha could have anything or anyone he desired without having to sweat for it. Everything was served for him on a silver platter, be it something material or a cute omega that caught his eye."Trust me, Gguk, I think this one can." Seokjin smiles, challenging him.The doe-eyed scoffs, not liking his hyung's insinuation. "No way. I'll show you.""Jeongguk, I don't think that's—" Namjoon tries to say, but Jeongguk is already standing up and heading toward the direction of the omega. His steps are steady and confident, and the closer he gets to the pink-haired, the closer the alpha feels attracted to him. His delicious cherry scent fills Jeongguk's nostrils and he licks his lips. Jimin really is an eye candy that he can't wait to devour. The alpha can feel some of the students staring at him and he grins smugly. They all know that if Jeongguk is going after the omega, there's not even a teeny tiny chance for any of them. When he reaches Jimin, he plops down next to him, a flirty smile adorning his features. The omega doesn't acknowledge his presence though, continuing to read through his book. Jeongguk doesn't let that affect him."Hey," he says, supporting his chin on his knuckles, hand propped on the table, while he observes the smaller.Jimin doesn't respond, only mumbling something under his breath and moving to sit further from the alpha.Jeongguk's smile widens at the action.
So he plays hard to get. I like him.
It's not like he hadn't come across omegas and betas that played hard to get before, only because they liked the feeling of being chased after. But they always caved in the end. Always. He moves closer to the omega again, straightening up to show off his muscular body, and runs his ring-adorned fingers through his hair with overconfidence."So, do you have a name, or can I just call you 'mine'?" he asks cheekily, feeling proud of his pick-up line. This time, Jimin turns to look at him, and Jeongguk smirks cockily, waiting to hear the answer he's been expecting from the pretty omega.
Truly, no one can resist him—
"I'd rather eat glass than let you call me 'yours'." Jimin shows him a disgusted look, tone dry and unamused.Jeongguk blinks, his smirk faltering. It's as if his brain has comprehended the words that came out the smaller's mouth but he's still in denial. What. Before he has the opportunity to speak, Jimin scoffs at him and gathers his things, getting up and strutting out of the cafeteria. The alpha stays still in his place, utterly shocked. Even a few students around, who heard their conversation, seem just as dumbfounded as Jeongguk feels."Did he just reject Jeongguk?" he overhears one alpha whisper to his friend as they pass by him."Man, I know. That must've hurt.""Who cares? Now at least I have a chance with the omega.""Yeah, right. Like Jimin will choose you of all people," the other alpha mocks."Yah!"Jeongguk doesn't sit to hear the rest of their conversation. He stands up abruptly and walks toward his friends again, stompers hitting the floor with force as he walks and hands curled into fists in his sides. He is furious. He can't believe the omega turned him down, him, the Jeon Jeongguk."What did I tell you?" Seokjin sneers when he sits down at their table. "Jimin is my favorite person, honestly. You should've seen your face when he rejected you. You should see your face now.""Shut up, Jin," Jeongguk growls, but that makes the other alpha laugh harder."Sorry, but it's so amusing seeing you being put in your place, Jeonggukie. Now you finally see that you're not irresistible to everyone.""I can win Jimin over if I want to, okay?" He raises his voice, annoyed by Seokjin's provocations. His pride and ego have already taken a big blow, he doesn't need his hyung mocking him too.Jeongguk was so confident of winning the pink-haired easily, and what frustrates him even more is that he finds Jimin hotter now. No one has denied him anything before, this is his first time being refused, and Jimin was just so sexy.Jeongguk is angry, but the fire inside him burns brighter now, his wolf wanting to make the omega theirs more than before.Seokjin raises his eyebrow. "Oh, really? Wanna bet on it?""Jin," Namjoon complains, but his boyfriend shushes him, curiously eyeing Jeongguk with a defiant smile."I don't need to bet on anything." The doe-eyed frowns. "That omega is mine."Yoongi snorts. "Jimin clearly doesn't want you, kid, what makes you think you'll change his mind?"Jeongguk smiles, despite himself. "I'm not Jeon Jeongguk for nothing. I'll make him fall for me."A wave of excitement runs through his veins and his eyes glint with newfound determination, making his hyungs shake their heads or, in Seokjin's case, lean over to hit him on the head. Jeongguk doesn't pay them any attention, however.
If you thought I'd just let it go, Park Jimin, you're terribly wrong. Just you wait.
Jeon Jeongguk has never been told 'no', and Park Jimin isn't going to be an exception to this.
