Captain's Log, Stardate: 1948.4. Lydia Ellery Reporting, Alexandria have on the edge of Federation control space to conduct a survey mission of one of the nearby system. I have left my chief of science and My First Officer, Commander Bouphe in charge of task while I catch up on other matters. It been a week since our chief medical officer left and we have yet to find a permanent replacement for her, Right now senior nurse Boba is handling sickbay to best of ability for now.
Sickbay, USS Alexandria NCC-1649
Captain Ellery enter through the main doors of sickbay then quickly turning to left towards the Chief medical office, There she found Acting Doctor Boba sitting at the desk. "Doc, How it going?" She asked, The young Nurse let out a sigh. "It going alright, There was a case of Bolian flu but it been dealt with." Boba informed, She then look at the tall pile of PADDs on her desk. "Although I could do without the paperwork, It seem to never end." Ellery gave a sympathetic nod, Understanding the feeling. "I should be getting word back from Starfleet about our Medical problem but we won't get them until we hit port, Just do your best for another week." "Aye, Ma'am...." Boba complied, Reluctantly. "I'll do my best, I guess...." Just then the voice of her First officer came through the ship intercom, The Captain walk over to nearby wall panel and thumb the switch. "Captain, You are need on the bridge." Ellery told them that she was on her way, Once there she found Bouphe standing beside Comms with Ensign Proasheck. "We pick up a transmission, It coming from neighbouring system." She look at the signal point of origin on the screen, It seem to weak but stable enough to make out. "What sort of a Transmission is it, Commander?" "It seem to a distress call, We've ran through the database and found no matches." Bouphe told, Brushing her Pink hair behind her ear. She was half Larran, Hench the Hair colour. "Very well, Set a course there at warp seven." The Captain Ordered, A little bit excited to make first contact with a new race but also concern about they might find there. She took her spot in the centre chair, Watching as Lieutenant Edgar move the ship away from the planet then into warp space.
