PrologueUnknown POV"I hate you", shrieked little girl as her baby sitter ripped her tiny body up off the floor. The tiny human kicked her little legs and screamed. The exhausted teenager stabbed a fork into a leafy green vegetable and held it close to the little girls face."Your parents told me that you weren't allowed any icecream until after you finish all your dinner and that includes the brussel sprouts", the baby sitter tried to reason with the little girl who only sobbed and tried to push the fork away. “Come on just try one. They are yummy see”, the teenager popped the sprout into her mouth before stabbing the fork into a fresh one."I dont want brussel sprouts", the little girl wailed and tried once more to get out of her chair."Stop! You are not leaving this chair until you have finished your dinner. When you finish I cant put on (F/childhood movie). Doesnt that sound fun?", the teenager grabbed the little girls arm as gently as she could to hold her in place. The little girl stopped crying and turned to glare at the older girl. The plate smashed on the floor as the little girl pushed it over the edge of the table, all while refusing to breaking eye contact."Thats it!" The baby sitter grabbed the little girls arm and dragged her out of the room and down the hall until they came to the little girls bedroom. The baby sitter grabbed a pillow off the little girls bed and through it on the floor in the corner of her room. "You are going to sit here until I come back". The teenager sat the little girl down on the pillow before storming back towards the dining room to cleanup the mess they had left behind. "And no icecream!""I wish you got kidnapped by goblins!" The little girl screamed, picking up a wooden block off the floor and through it towards the closed door. The girl was very stubborn and not one to listen to baby sitters. I admired that spark of fire in her. She defiantly picked herself up off the floor and waddled over to the doll house her grandparents had gotten for her that previous Christmas. As she picked up her dolls and began to play the baby sitter was busy in the kitchen cleaning up the mess the child had made. Placing the remains of the shattered plate into the bin, the young woman was unaware that every move she made was being watched."Ouch", the teenager hissed as a shard cut the tip of her finger. As she made her way over towards to medicine cabnet to look for a bandaid she heard a strange whisper, followed by the slamming of cupboards coming from behind her. She quickly turned to see the kitchen window wide open, the curtains flapping in the wind. She could have sworn she had closed it earlier in the night. The little girl was distracted from her play when she heard her baby sitters screams. She put her dolls away and ran towards her bed to hide beneath.I opened the door to see a pair of tiny feet poking out from under the bed. I couldnt help but chuckle at her innocence as I knelt down beside her bed and moved the sheet that hid her. Her little (E/C) eyes look up at me with fear. I pulled the little creature out from under the bed, picking her up from the floor. She was so tiny even for a four year old. I turned towards the corner of her room grabbed her pillow up off the floor before I carried her back over to her bed. The little girl let out a small whimper as I tucked her into the bed."Dont be frightened little one", I said calmly as I grabbed her teddy bear off her night stand and handed it to her. Usually when someone wishes for me to take someone away they are quite a bit older. Never before had I answered the wishes of a small child. I usually ignore them but I knew from the money I saw her that there was something special about this little thing. I waved my hand through the air to manifest a crystal ball. I held it out towards the small child. She whimpered and held the bear in front of her face to hide. "Its alright. Its a present", I tried to reasure her. She peaked her little eyes up from behind the bear as I moved my hand with the crystal closer towards her. “Forget about your baby sitter”. I smiled as she took the ball in her hand. Human children were so easily manipulated.I stood by the bed and watched as the little girl began to drift off to sleep. When she wakes the next day she will have forgotten all about the baby sitter and have no memory of me ever being here. She won’t remember unless I allow her to remember. Present day READERS POV As a child I dreamed of a life full of magic and wonder. I dreamed of dragons and fairies. I wanted to live in a world where the stories from my childhood were true. Where I could go on adventures to save the world from evil. I wished so hard for it. As an adult my dreams changed. I dreamed of a job I enjoyed, a loving partner to come home to. A home with a yard. To travel and see the world. Who would have thought that my life would end up here all because of one camping trip. I thought I could go back to my old life only to find a goblin rooting through my trash. My life has been one magical shit show after another. By now I had decided to stop ignoring the magic and to just go with it. I no longer hide in fear of what might be lurking in the shadows to take me.I now live on the boarder of the human and magical worlds. I’m a teacher now. I teach both elvish and goblin children about the human world and our technology. It is our hope that one day they can join the human world and live among us without having to hide who and what they are. I doubt I will live long enough to see this come to be. My only hope is that the children can grow to be more accepting.Back in dale the members of the Order of Erobor have started their own school. A school where their children can learn about the different magical beings that have and hopefully still exits in the world today. On the outside it looks likeyour typical high class private school but on the inside it is a place of magic and wonder. We have even been searching for children who can potentially harness Magic.Things were going so great until today. As I spoke with Legolas just outside the city walls we were attacked by what I thought was a normal barn owl. The bird soon showed his true form."My apologies", the tall man said as he took a step closer, pulling a lace hankerchief from his sleeve. "I can get a little carried away in my owl form", he explained handing the piece of cloth to me. I nervously took it from him.Shouting could be heard from the gates as a group of guards, two elvish, one goblin came running towards us. As I dabbed the blood from Legolas's cheek the elvish guards drew their swords. The goblin on the other hand through himself to the ground and bowed at the strangers feet."Who the hell are you!" Legolas snapped at the stranger as he gently moved my hands from his face, quickly drawing his own sword.“My name is jareth. King of the goblins and I have come to take my people home”.“Get away from him!” I heard Tauriel yell as she ran towards us, bow and arrow aimed towards Jareth. I screamed in shock as she fired an arrow, aiming for his chest. The mans hand darted out in front of him, catching the arrow in mid air.“Tauriel. How long has it been? Thirty? Forty years?” He asked and he turned the arrow around in his hands to inspect it. “You haven’t changed a bit”.“You know him?” Legolas asked.“Unfortunately”, she growled pulling another arrow from her quiver.“Our paths have crossed a few times over the last two centuries”, Jareth explained.“Usually when you attempt to kidnap people for your own sick amusement”. Tauriel once again had an arrow aimed towards the so called Goblin king.“I only take those who have been wished away”, he started to sound annoyed. “But that is not why I am here”. He walked past Tauriel and the guards as he made his way towards the city gates, ignoring all attempts to stop him or even slow him down. “Well aren’t you coming?” He called towards us. The goblin guard pulled himself off the ground and ran after Jareth.“Go back to your classroom. I will have someone escort you home”, ordered Legolas as he and the others followed the goblin king into the city. I ignored his ordered and opted instead to join them. Legolas looked uneasy but kept quiet. I guess he has finally learnt that I cannot be controlled.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
"Can't you put the bow down already", Legolas said to Tauriel as the two kings sat across from eachother in the war room. The evlish king winced as the medic began to rub a pale green substance over the gash on his face. I stood in the corner of the room behind Legolas while two guards stood by the rooms only entrance. They were ready incase things took a turn for the worse. Word spread quickly through the kingom that the king of the goblins had arrived. Many of his people rushed to thencastle in an attenpt to catch a glimpse of him. I could hear their excited chatter through the walls."Not until he leaves", she growled, aiming her bow towards Jareth who just continued to ignore her. He leant back in his chair and put his boots up on the side of the table, knocking over a heap of markers on the map that marked potential expansion for the kingdom. I could see Legolas's muscles begin to tense up as he waved off the medic, opting to tape the guase on himself. The medic quickly packed up his equipment and rushed out of the room."Come now Tauriel", Jareth was starting to sound bored with her. "Im not here to cause trouble. Im on a mission of peace", he smirked towards her."How exactly do you two know eachother?" Legolas asked glaring between the two of them. The room felt like a powder keg. Legolas hated Jareth for scratching up his face, Tauriel hated him for god knows what and here I am standing around wondering why I chose to come along. I'm not a diplomat. I was starting to wonder why I forced Legolas to allow me to stay in the room. One wrong move, from any of us, and I was worried punches might get thrown."We first met a couple of hundred years ago as I was passing through the area", he explained all nonchalant. "We have crossed paths a few times since then"."You conviently left out that while you were here you kidnaped a small human child!" She yelled, almost letting go of the arrow."You kidnaped a child!" Legolas's eyes widened in horror."Her mother wished that I would take her away. I was simply granting said wish", he turned his eyes towards me and gave me his signature smirk."You knew perfectly well that she didnt mean it! She was stressed out. Times were tough back then. She was struggling" Tauriel snapped at him."I dont see why you are so mad", he snapped his fingers and one of the goblin guards ran to his side with a bottle of wine. He must have taken it from the cellar. The goblin king twirled his gloved hand in the air and a golden goblet appeared in his hand. "You helped her retrieve the child with hours left to spare", he held the goblet out for the guard to fill."And how many others have you taken since then?" Tauriel snapped once more as Legolas stood up to get her to lower her weapon. She glared at Legolas before doing as he wished, throwing the bow and arrows across the table. She stormed off towards the window, opening it for fresh air."Im not here to discuss our past. Im here to take my people home",he explained before taking a sip."What claim do you have on the gob- these people?" Legolas asked as he turned back around to face him."Most of the survivors were taken from my kingdom. A while ago Malekith came to me. I thought it was a mission of peace. You know typical of you elves. But he quickly showed his true colours. He raided a village on the outskirts of the labyrinth and kidnapped its inhabitants. I have been searching for them ever since. And today my search has come to an end""It must have been humilating for you. The great goblin king, master of mischief and deceit tricked by a lowley elf", Tauriel sneered, mocking the goblin king. Jareth glared daggers at her."It happened not long after I took the throne. My kingom was in disarray. I was young and nieve. The city had broken off into factions each believing they had more rights to the throne then I", he growled."Thats because you arent even a real goblin. You have the throne because a selfish man made a selfish wish", Tauriel spat."Besides", Jareth snarled towards her. "I'm not the first ruler to have something precious stolen from him early in his reign", he turned his gaze towards Legolas. “I know all about what happened with the Arkenstone", he laughed. Legolas glared towards the goblin king, clenching his fists in anger. "Don't feel too bad, Malekith is a master at knowing when to take advantage of a situation. Its one of the reasons I respect him. What cell is he in? I wouldn't mind saying hello"."He is back in stasis", I stated. Even just the idea of waking him up had me worried."No matter. Tell the goblins to get their affairs in order. I plan to take them home within the week. And I will be taking the cave goblins as well. They dont belong here with your kind". Jareth stood and made his way over to the window. Tauriel quickly backing away from him."You talk as if you expect them all to want to come with you", I asked as he pushed the window open as wide as it would go."It’s not like I will be giving them a choice. Their place is in the labyrinth. With me"."Many have built lives here and in Erobor. To uproot them now would be cruel", I explained."They will get over it", he replied talking down to me. This annoyed me greatly. I grabbed his arm as he turned back towards the window. I didnt want him flying out of here before I was finished talking."Look mister goblin king", he raised his eyebrowl at me. "I have watched these people go from starving and scared to a thriving people. Many of my students, orphans, love it here and something about you makes me feel that under your care they wont get the support they need", I poked his chest. "I have grown attached to them and I wont let you force those who dont want to leave to go with you. They deserve the right to chose where they live"."King Legolas. I think we should continue this discussion later in private away from a woman who hates me", he tilted his head towards Tauriel. "And a niave little mortal who should know by now that she needs to keep her nose out of our business and go back to serving drinks to fat old business men", he growled down at me. Next thing I knew my hand struck the side of his face."Miss Oakenshield!" Legolas yelled. "I apologise my lord", Legolas quickly ran, forcing himself between us. "Get out", he growled at me."Gladly", I spat glaring past him towards Jareth. I went out of my way to ensure my shoulder connected with the goblin kings chest as I stormed out of the room. I could feel his eyes burning into the back of my skull. I hated being talked down to."Lets discuss this, diplomatically over dinner", I heard Legolas say as the guards closed the door behind me.Every step I took through the hall a different goblin would stop to ask me questions about our "amazing" visitor. Many sounded excited to be going home while others were rightfully nervous. They had just gotten settled and now their futures were once again uncertain.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
After the week I had Saturday night could not come sooner. Since my near death experience I started putting my mental health first and part of that was reminding myself that I did not need to look for a reason to go out to somewhere nice to eat. At least once a month I grabbed a fresh book and drove into the city to find a nice quiet restaurant to sit down and eat. I try to hit a different restaurant or dinner each time. As long as its something I could afford. This night I had chosen this small family run Italian joint that, according to yelp, served a pretty decent (F/toppings) pizza. I knew I had to give it a try.I was seated in a tiny two person table by the window reading the first chapter of (Newest Book). The restaurant was quiet as only two other tables that were occupied. An elderly couple and a younger couple on what looked to be a first date. I was a little jealous. Last date I went on was with Legolas. And it did not end well. I kept rereading the line I was on as I pondered on weather or not I should reactivate my dating apps. Last time I kept getting people who were more curious about Mirkwood then they were about actually getting to know the real me."Interesting book?" I was distracted from my reading, jumping in shock. Across the table from me sat Jareth. He looked smug and ridiculous in an old puffy shirt, the top few buttons open to expose the top of his chest, a silver two pronged pendant hung around his neck. Even tho the restaurant wasn't very busy I could feel the eyes of the other diners as they kept glancing over at us."Why are you here?" I sighed as I placed my bookmark between the pages before closing my book."The woodland king and I had a meeting at the restaurant across the street", he sighed as the waitress came and placed a bowl of bread rolls down on the table between us. I assumed she thought we were on a date. Jareth thanked her with a smile before taking one of the rolls. "I didnt expect to see you here through the window", he ripped a small chuck out of the roll. "Did your date stand you up?" He smirked. God how I wanted to slap that smirk off his face."If you must know I like to take myself out to dinner every once and a while to unwind", I reached for my wine glass, taking a sip. "Alone", I hoped he took the hint."I can tell you dont like me", he stated finishing off his roll."Oh what gave you that idea", I replied sarcasticly. I wanted to call him a condersending ass.“If it helps your opinion of me I have decided to speak to my subjects before I make any final decisions. So far those that I have spoken to speak highly of you", he explained as the waitress approached with a plate of (F/Italian/Entree). "Hard to believe you", he waved his hand guesturing at me. "Manged to sneak your way into a battle". The waitress placed a second set of eating utensils down in front of Jareth, assuming he was my date. My glare deepened."If you were just out to dinner doesnt that mean you have already eaten?" I asked as he helped himself to my food."Yes and no. I have a high metabolism compared to you mortals", he explained. "Helps to make partying last longer"."So what did you and Legolas decide exactly?" I asked sliding the plate of food closer towards me when he went to take another piece."He told me how the cave goblins and dark elves have essentially repopulated the home of your ancestors. I never would have picked you as a dwarf. Those creatures are short and rather ugly creatures". I glared at that comment. "He suggested the possibility of an alliance between our kingdoms blah blah blah so I compromised and promised not to take any goblin's back to the Goblin city, unless they ask me to, at least until after i have spoken to them dirtectly". He quickly snatched up another (Entree), tossing it into his mouth."And how can we trust you?" I asked. I could see the waitress approaching. I quickly gave him the be quiet guesture as she placed my (F/Toppings) pizza down between us."I am a man of my word", he winked. I sighed with annoyance as he removed his leather glove and stole the first piece. At that point I knew he wasnt going to be leaving any time soon so I decided to be a gracious host and not make a scene. I wanted to just sit, eat and read in quiet."Why does the woodland king wear a black wig and moustache when he goes out?" He asked as I took my first bite."Can you keep it down!" I whisper yelled at him."Only a very very small group of people know the truth about the woods!" He gave me a bored, understanding nod. "Legolas faked his previous identities death in order to disappear so he made a new identity to start a new life in a new town"."And the humans fell for it?" He rolled his eyes."He tells people he is Legolas's cousin. Lando or Orlando, I cant remember what his new alter egos name is", I explained. "He was supposed to leave and stay gone but he now has responsibilities with the Order", I took another bite of my food. "He has so much on his plate"."His responsibilities will lessen with less people to care for", he snapped his fingers, trying to get the waitresses attention before ordering himself a glass of wine. I wanted to yell at him not to be rude. Oh how I wanted to slap him across his smug face.I wanted to reach across the table, grab a chunk of his hair and force him to apologise to the waitress. Instead I just took a deep breath to calm myself down.We sat in silence as we ate. I couldnt help but look into his eyes. At first glance they appeared to be two different colours. One blue the other a dark brown. But the closer I looked I noticed that ones pupil was just heavily dialated. His eyes were so familiar. Like I was looking into the eyes of someone I once knew and have long since forgotten. I quickly shook the thought out of my head. Then it hit me. He looked human. Was this a form of disguise? Was he really short and green? Was he a hybrid? I had to ask."What did Tauriel mean by you not being a real goblin?" I asked. "Its clear you dont look like the others", I said, refering to the goblins."Let me tell you a story", he leaned in close. "Long ago the Owl king, ruler of the goblins, began to grow old and sick. His son and only heir refused the throne so he used his magic to find a new heir. An heir his people would approve of and adore. In his search he came across a man.At first glance he appeared as nothing special. Just your typical, extremely attractive, human man. But inside he had magic. Magic he knew not how to control. The man came from a nobel family but he had run away and married a peasant woman. Together they had a son. The family was happy. Or so they appeared. You see the mans family called him home to take his place in the house but he knew that his child would not be accepted. He told his wife that they had to get rid of the baby or he would have to leave her as well. The child would ruin his families reputation and he would be disinherited. When she took her son to leave him the man wished the boy away. The Owl king granted his wish and snatched the child away from his mothers arms. But her love was so strong she was transported to the goblin city. The owl king made a deal with her. "If you can make it to the castle in the centre of the city then you can have your child back and I will take the father in his stead". The mother had no choice but to agree"."Are you the man or the baby in this story?" I asked in disbelief."Does it really matter?", the king asked as he took another slice from the plate in front of us."It would be good to know if you are a selfish coward who traded his son for wealth or a child longing for a real family", I said. I could see anger flash across his face."You have quite the tongue on you", he growled. "I bet it has gotten you into quite a bit of trouble. Maybe you need to learn your place"."And how do YOU plan to do that", I smirked at him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jareth pushed me hard against my front door slamming it shut behind me. His lips were pressed painfully hard against my own. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders digging my nails into his back, playfully biting his lower lip. He growled into my mouth before pulling away. He grabbed the hair on the back of my head, pulling it back to expose my neck to him. He bit down, sucking hard. I dug my finger nails harder into his back. I used my foot to push us off the wall. I shoved Jareth down onto my couch and dived on top of him, pushing him to lie back. I ripped open his shirt and vest, and began to kiss his chest, slowly moving up his body. When i got to his neck I returned the favour and bit down hard. He snarled at me. Soon our tongues were fighting for dominance.I ground my hips against his hardening bulge. My skirt inching up slowly. Jareths hand came down hard across my ass. That earnt him another bite to his lip. The goblin king pulled me hard against him before attempting to roll ontop of me. This caused us to roll off the couch, my foot knocking a lamp off my side table beside the couch. He landed ontop of me. He pulled my shirt off, throwing it across the room."Bedroom?" Was all he said before I jumped up off the floor and lead him towards my bedroom. As we entered the room the goblin king pushed me against the wall then proceeded to kneel in front of me. He kissed my thighs as he pushed the edge of my pencil skirt upwards, reaching for my panties. He pulled them all the way down, lifting one of my feet to free me of them. I screamed as he suddenly scooped me up by my thighs, lifting me up from the ground, throwing my legs over his shoulders. My skull nearly made contact with the ceiling. He buried his face in my pussy, his lips sucking my clit gently.“Oh my god!” I cried out. My legs tightened around his neck and shoulders as I reached up to my ceiling desperately trying to find something to hold onto. I could feel his tongue begin to tease my opening, gently running the tip of his tongue in slow circles before going back to sucking. I had one hand on the ceiling while I used the other to grab a tight hold of jareths golden hair, pushing his face deeper into my crotch. I wanted to thrust my self harder against his face but I was scared he might accidentally drop me, if not on purpose. His strong hands held me in place, his fingers digging into my thighs.“Ooohhhh fuck”, I could feel my pleasure slowly build as he moaned against my clit. Before I could reach my peak Jareth dropped me from his shoulders, catching me before I hit the ground. He carried me over to the bed, carelessly throwing me down onto the (Firmness) mattress. He once again dived down ontop of me. He reached behind me to unclasp my bra, pulling it off. Throwing it across the room. He undid his pants and through them off. I grabbed his rod and slowly began to stroke it, gently teasing him."What? Been a while mighty goblin king?" I mocked. He wrapped his hand around my throat, pushing me down into the bed. He pushed his way between my legs."Shut up mortal", he spat at me as he plunged his rod into my opening. I cried out. Jareth grabbed one of my legs with his free hand when I tried to wrap them around his waist. His hands were incredibly strong, I knew he would be leaving marks.I was defiant and wrapped my free leg tightly around him as he thrust into me hard. He glared down at me, every thrust was hard and powerful. I used all my strength to push myself upwards, flipping myself on-top of him. I grabbed his wrists and held them beside his head as I began to ride him. He thrust his hips up into me. Jareth slipped his hands out of my grasp and grabbed hold of my hips, encouraging me to go harder."Ooohhhhh fuckkkk yessss!!!", I cried out as I bounced up and down along his rod, my bed creaking beneath us. One of Jareths hands moved from my hip and up to my breast. His fingers clenched around my breast before he began to use his thumb to play with my nibble. I held onto his shoulders for support. Soon his arms were wrapped around my body, pulling me into a deep, passionate kiss. The goblin King rolled us over to be on top once more. His lips moved from my lips and down my jaw, moving down my neck. His soft lips met my nipple and began to gently suck. I ran my fingers through his honey blond hair holding him close. I wrapped my legs tightly around his hips, pulling him in deeper. The bed continued creak as we continued to explore eachothers bodies. I once again dug my nails into his back. My thighs tightened around him. My back arched back as a wave of pleasure washed over me. I grabbed my pillow and screamed into it, hoping the neighbours couldn't hear. The goblin King pulled out and spilt his seed over my thighs and stomach. He pried my thighs off of him and rolled over to lay beside me.I lay there panting beside him, while he just laid there calmly. I wondered how much stamina a man like him had. The quiet was broken when he reached over to the nightstand on his side and grabbed a small crystal ball I kept on a small four pronged stand. He turned the crystal around in his hand before placing it back on its stand. I could see gears turning in his head. I wanted to ask him what he was thinking but I was too embarrassed laying here covered in his seed."Where's your shower?" He asked getting up from the bed."It's in the next room", I explained as I pulled myself up into a sitting position, looking for a box of tissues to clean myself up with."Good", Jareth quickly scooped me up and carried me towards the bathroom.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
I barley slept that night. Jareth and I spend basically the whole evening screwing in nearly every room in my home. Every time I tried to take a break and go into another room we ended up just going at it again and again. I honestly don’t know how we ended up here. I assumed we would end up going our separate ways when We left the restaurant but one thing lead to another and here we were.Me on all fours on my couch, my face buried in a throw pillow, Jareth thrusting into me from behind. His grip on my hips, I swear, was the only reason his thrusts weren’t pushing me over the edge of the couch. His thrusts were strong and powerful. I was exhausted but I couldn’t help but want more.I was biting into the pillow when I heard my mobile begin to ring. I looked up from the pillow and scanned the room for my phone. It had been discarded on the floor, under my coffee table besides my handbag. I figured that’s where it had landed when when we burst through the door the night before."Take a break", I told Jareth as I reached for my phone. He chuckled and continued to thrust into me. I took a deep breath before answering. "Hello"."Hey (Y/N)", Legolas greated me. "Do you have a minute to talk?" He asked."Y yeah I can talk for about a minute. What’s up Legolas", I replied, letting Jareth know who I was talking with. The goblin kings grip only tightened. "what's up?""I took the goblin King out to dinner last night to meet the orders leaders". I let out a yelp when Jareth struck my rear hard with the palm of his hand. "Are you okay?", Legolas asked sounding concerned."I'm okay. I just stubbed my toe", I lied, turning to glare at Jareth. He smirked down at me."We talked with him and he has agreed to speak with his people before making any final decision to make them return with him", he explained not knowing I already knew. "Due to many of the students being orphans we have agreed to let him speak to them with yours and the other teachers supervision"."What does that meeEEANN", I squealed out as I felt Jareth slide his thumb into my ass. I punched at his thigh as he slide it in deeper, slowly sliding it in and out."He will be coming into your class Monday". Jareth slide his thumb out only to start pushing his rod into my rear. I gasped as he managed to push his rod in all the way in. "I planned it this way so you and the other teachers could keep an eye on him so he doesn't snatch any of them". I wondered if Jareth could hear everything Legolas was saying because the next thing I knew he was ramming into me at an alarming speed."Does that sound alright to you? I'm sorry I didn't discuss it with you first". I wanted to cry out as I felt myself getting closer to cumming."It's okay. He's an ASS", I glared back at Jareth. "But I think I can handle it", Jareth slapped my ass once more. "Him. I can handle him", I quickly corrected. He slid one hand around my waist and began to rub my clit as he thrust deeply into my rear. "C can we t talk about this Monday. I'm a little busy". I burried my face back into the pillow, trying desperately to keep the phone against my ear."Sure", he sounded concerned. "I will talk to you first thing Monday. By-" I hung up before he could finish."Good talk?", Jareth mocked as he continued to ram his rod deep inside of me."Shut up", I groaned into the pillow. His fingers continued to rub my clit, slowly picking up speed. I screamed into the pillow. Jareth moved both his hands back onto my hips and picked up his speed. He rammed me into the couch before roaring out in pleasure, cumming deep inside of me. He collapsed ontop of me. "God I hate you", I groaned out. I could feel his heart racing against my back."Why didn't you tell me you were coming to my class?" I asked trying to wiggle around to lay on my back. He shifted to allow me."I planned to show up Monday and let you figure it out from there", he explained as he began to kiss and suck on my neck."Oh god. You can't seriously go another round", I tried to push him off. "I'm starting to go numb downstairs. I'm only human". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jareth disappeared sometime Sunday night. I passed out after going at it on the kitchen table and woke up in my bed Monday morning. As soon as I got to Mirkwood I was met with Legolas who gave me a quick run down on what to expect from Jareth. He was to come in, talk to the students, move onto the next class then leave. He would be doing the rounds in a few of the other classrooms before he was to finish with mine so I had the whole day to mentally prepare before I had to see him again."I just cannot believe it!" Veroo, Greevies mother, was so giddy. "I cannot believe that you won't allow me in your classroom for when he visits"."I'm sorry but with both king's in the room there won't be enough space. My classroom is one of the smaller ones. Besides if I let you in I will have to let the other parents in and like I said, no space”, I tried to explain. I didn't want to explain to her that I felt that her fan Girling would be too distracting to the children. When she came into my classroom at the beginning of recess she was squealing like my old highschool classmates did at a one direction concert. "Besides weren't you at the meeting where he addressed the leaders?" The goblins and Dark elves elected there own representatives to the Mirkwood and Orders council."No only the leaders were allowed in the council chambers", she sounded extremely disappointed."I'm sure you will get your chance to see him", I tried to reassure her."I highly doubt that. Sure I would love to see my homeland again but this is my home now", she sighed. “At least Greevie will have this opportunity”."Hey if things go well I'm sure you can take Greevie to the goblin city for a holiday", she smiled at my idea.We chatted for a while before my class returned from their break. The children were a buzz. They told me that the children from other classes told them of their visit from Jareth. He was apparently very charasmatic and quite the entertainer. I doubt he wanted to have any real conversations with the kids. From what I heard he was quite the showman and Legolas had to constantly keep steering the conversation back to the matters at hand."Okay kids what year was the crown piece of Bethmora discovered?" I asked. A few small hands shot up. "Bethany", I said pointing to a little human girl with red hair in pigtails. She gave me a big smile showing off the gap in her mouth where her two front teeth were missing. She was one of the human children in the school. Her parents were rather members of the order or an orphan with possible inhuman abilities. I tried not to pry. Before she could give her answer there was a knock at the door. The entire class and myself turned towards the door. There in the doorway stood Jareth. He wore basically the same outfit from Saturday except instead of the black vest he wore a tight brown leather jacket."Your majesty", I gave him an awkward bow that was half curtsy. "Y your early. Is king Legolas with you?" I asked peering behind him."Not yet. He had a meeting and I was bored and thought I would come a bit early", he explained as he walked into the room. "Hello children". He greated my class before guestering at me to take my seat at my desk."Hello mister goblin King", my class greated in unison."I suppose you all expect me to give you a long winded speech on why you should convince your parents or care givers on why you should all come live in my kingdom tra la la”, Jareth said as he paced in front of the children before leaning on the edge of my desk. “Well honestly I’m bored of all that. I have been at it all day with the older students and now I want to have a little fun before king buzz kill shows up”, the children all giggled. I started to feel a little nervous or knowing what his definition of “fun” was. The goblin king lifted his hand and gave it a small wave. Suddenly a crystal ball appeared in his hand.“Wow”, the whole class gasped in unison while I on the other hand was suddenly became frozen to my seat. The way he held the ball up to show the class felt eerily familiar. The children watched in amazement as he waved his hands, allowing the crystal to roll and glide over and around his hands.“In the goblin city you won’t feel like you have to hide”. Jareth stopped moving the ball only to materialise two more in the same hand. He used his fingers to rotate the three crystals. “You will never have to deal with glares from those who believe they are above you”. He raised his other hand to manifest another crystal. As I watched him perform for the children a feeling of dread creept into me. I remembered the small crystal ball I kept on my night stand. I sat there trying desperately to remember where I got it or who had given it to me. An image of Jareth flashed across my mind. In my head I pictured him in a long black coat with a long collar that stuck straight up and curled at the edges. The room was dark and all I could see was him. While everyone was distracted I snuck out into the hall to think. I learnt against the wall listening to my students laughter and cheers. I had a horrible feeling in my gut. I pulled my phone from my pocket and quickly looked up my mothers number. It felt like an eternity as I waited for her to pickup her phone.“Morning (Y/N), you don’t usually call until much later. Is everything alright?”, she asked.“I’m not sure”, I replied. I took a deep breath before I continued to call. “I know this might sound weird but when I was very little did anything unusual happen to me?”“Like what?” My mother was starting to sound concerned.“Did anyone we know go missing?” I prayed her answer was no. She was silent for a while before she continued.“What’s brought all this up?” I heard her put down whatever she was doing.“Please!” I took a deep breathing trying to calm myself down. “I’m sorry I just need to know”.“Well I guess you are old enough to know”. That didn’t sound good. “When you were three years old your father took me out for our anniversary and we left you alone with our neighbors fifteen year old daughter Mandy”. A flash of a young girls face with strawberry blonde hair appeared in my mind. “When we got back she was gone and you were sleeping soundly”. I remembered screaming and crying. “We fought she had just gone home after putting you to bed but when we called her parents they told us she hadnt come home yet”, my blood turned cold. I remembered the words I said to her.“Oh god no”, I gasped out as I remembered Jareth picking me up from the floor and putting me to bed.“Mum I need you to listen carefully. I think I might know where Mandy-“ I was stopped from finishing my sentence when a gloved hand covered my mouth. I tried to scream but the sound was muffled under my assailants grip. My attacker grabbed my other hand and forced me to drop my phone. Suddenly the hallway began to blur before my vision went completely black. Legolas POV Tauriel and I sped through the palace towards the halls that had been converted into the school. I was fuming. I had allowed Jareth free reign to explore my kingdom before he was scheduled to speak to the final class. And now I had regretted it. I got word from another teacher that he was in the final class already giving his little speech. I prayed (Y/N) was keeping him in control but judging by the noise coming from her classroom that she must have been failing miserably and needed backup. When we got to her classroom the door was locked and the sound of children's play and laughter could be heard through the walls. I barged through the door to find some children running around the room, screaming, playing a chasing game while others were pulling toys from the play cupboard. One little elf girl in the corner was painting her desk with her fingers, mixing all sorts of colours together."Hey!" I yelled getting the childrens attention. They all immediately ran back to their desks. "what is going on here? Where is Miss Oakenshield?” The children all shook their heads it’s shrugged, some muttering that they didn't know. "Okay can anyone tell me what happened?" I looked around the room and a small goblin boy raised his hand. "yes"."Mr goblin King came in. He showed us some tricks", he was basically bouncing in his chair with excitement."And then what happened?" I asked. From the corner of my eye I could see Tauriel enter the room holding a couple of items in her hands."Miss Oakenshield stepped out of the room then the goblin King taught us a game", the little boy smiled brightly."And then what happened?""You showed up", he explained."And did he leave?""I don't know", he shyly slumped down behind his desk."Your majesty", Tauriel intrupted. She guestered with her head to follow her out into the hall."What is it?" I asked. She held up her hands. In one hand was a Crystal Ball that filled the palm of her hand and in the other was a (Y/Phones) phone with a cracked screen."I think Jareth took (Y/N)", she explained.Oh crap. Not again.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Legolas POV “What do you mean you don’t know how to get to the labyrinth!” I yelled. “You helped a woman get her child back. How did you get there before?”“I was with her When jareth took the child. He teleported us both to his realm", Tauriel explained."Then how did you get back? Maybe we could use it to get in". She just gave me an exchausted look. "Teleportation. Got it", I groaned."The library. Surely there's an old map that can lead us to where the kingdom might be", I quickly rushed out of the council chambers, making my way towards the great library. Tauriel ran behind me. I didn't pay attention to what she was saying as I entered the library. I took a second to admire the restoration work. When I took the throne one of the first things I did was get the library restored. Old maps and books were restored as best to our ability. New maps and books were added. We even installed a digital catalogue system."Legolas!" Tauriel yelled. She grabbed me away from the wall of maps and turned me back around to face her. "His kingdom cannot be found on any map we own. The goblin city exists in a pocket dimension"."Pocket. Dimension?" I was confused with her words. "How is that possible?"."All I know is that a previous goblin King created it during the rise of the time of man", she explained. "If a map to his world exists we do not have it". I just wanted to scream. I stormed over to the nearest table and shoved it's contents across the floor, yelling in rage."Why would he take her?" I yelled. "If he wanted to start a war then he's got one!" I was silenced when Tauriel slapped me across the face."Don't do anything you might regret", she grabbed my shoulders and forced me to take a seat. "Jareth is not worth your rage. He is an immature man child. He is a trickster. He will use your own rage and actions against you"."Then what are we supposed to do?" I asked, defeated."You forget I'm not the only elf here who has been to the goblin city", Tauriel explained."Malekith". Readers POV The last thing I remembered before my world went black was a gloved hand covering my face. My head ached as I slowly drifted back to consciousness. My eyes felt heavy but my body felt calm and relaxed. Like I woke up from the first good night sleep in years. As I opened opened my eyes I found myself on an eerily familiar bed. The entire bed was made in the softest red satin sheets, surrounded by canopy of matching red, sheer curtains. I was in the dead centre of the bed. The bed was so large that no matter how far I stretched any of my limps I was always a couple of meters from the edges. Through the curtains I could see the faint glow of candles burning. As I looked around the room became more and more familiar. I felt like I had been here before but I knew that could not be true. When I sat up in the bed I found I was no longer in the cloths I was wearing in the classroom but now I was in a short red nightgown. Who ever took me must have loved red. I felt sick to my stomach. I didn't not know what was worse. Jareth changing me in my sleep or him having one, or more, of his servants doing it. I wanted to slap Jareth across his smug face for basically violating me in my sleep.I pulled myself up into my knees, preparing to claw to the edge of the bed. As I made my way closer to the edge I noticed a figure appear from behind the curtains. The figure stepped closer to the bed, forming into a familiar shape."Jareth!" I snarled. A gloved hand grabbed the curtain, pulling it open."Good to see you are finally awake", Jareth greeted. I screamed and jumped at him. I leapt at him, punching at his face and chest. Together we fell to the floor, me landing on-top of him."Where am I?!" I screamed at him. "Why have you taken me? Let me go right now!" I continued to scream and claw at his face and chest. He looked up at me bored, almost as if my strikes caused no damage."Enough of that", Jareth grabbed both my wrists, and with a kick of his leg flipped us over, pinning me to the cold stone ground. "Calm down". He sounded like a parent scolding a child. The harder I struggled under him the harder his grip on my wrists became until eventually I just gave up, laying there glaring up at him. He smirked before getting up off me."Do you like your room”, he guestered all around him. I looked around and noticed the walls and floor looked to be the same stone as Thranduils bedroom back in Mirkwood, the dresser and wardrobe, identical those I had back home. "I had it made from your memories", he explained."I have never stayed in a room with a bed like that!" I pointed."Ah yes. That I got from your dreams. And what filthy dreams they were", he mocked. "I like my guests to be comfortable"."Guest!" I yelled as I pulled myself up from the floor. “You don't kidnap your guests""Semantics", Jareth said as he sat down on the edge of the bed."Why am I here?" I demanded."For centuries whenever someone has taken me up on my offer", he waved his hand manifesting one of his crystals. "They never remember the person they wished away", he danced the ball around and over his hand. "Until now", he turned his glaze back to me. His face was unreadable. I couldn't tell if he was concerned, angry, intrigued, impressed or confused. “You are a very special human”."And what happens now?""Usually when someone wishes a loved one away I offer them a choice. Their dreams", he explained holding the gem towards me to take. I refused. "But more often then not someone changes their mind and I challenge them to a game. Get to the castle at centre of the labyrinth before the thirteenth hour and they can have their loved one back"."The same challenge the previous king gave your mother or wife". He nodded."People rarely ever win". He stood."And what happens to those who aren't saved?" I started to worry."Does it matter?" He asked as he stood up from the bed and made his way over to the door. He unlocked it, opening it to reveal a dimly lit hallway."What happened to Mandy? Where is she?" I stormed over to him and grabbed his arm. “Am I here to compete for her freedom?”“If that were the case I wouldn’t have bought you to my castle. No I have something different planned for. I think you need some time a to calm down", he turned around and placed his hands on my shoulders and lead me back to sit on the edge of the bed. "Would you like something to eat?"I did not answer him. Instead I looked past him and saw that he had left the door wide open. I grabbed a pillow from the bed and smacked it right across his smug face. As quick as I could I shoved past the goblin king and ran out into the hall.I knew I had to escape the castle somehow. I figured if I could escape maybe I could find someone in the labyrinth who could help me get home. At this point I was willing to do or pay anything to get out.As I ran through the hall I realised it was longer then I originally had thought. The farther I ran down the longer it appeared to get. Suddenly I stopped as I somehow ended up back to the door of "my room". It didn't make sense to me as I swore I was running in a straight line. I shook my head clear and continued to run. Within seconds I was back at the door, Jareth waiting for me. I took off once again before he could grab me.Over and over again I ran past the door, Jareth looking more and more smug with every passing. After a while i just gave up."How is this possible", I said between gasps. Jareth stepped out of the doorway and grabbed me by the arm."Without me you will never be able to find your way out of this hall", he explained as he lead me down the hall. Barely a few metres from my door a new door appeared. The door looked to be like one found in an old castle. Tall, wooden with an arch at the top. The king pushed the door open and lead me through another hall. Soon we came to what I would assume to be his throne room. The walls and floor were the same stone as the hall, a throne draped in purple fabric stood upon a small set of stairs, slightly risen above the goblins. The room was filled with goblins of all shapes and sizes. They looked like they were having a party. Some drinking, some dancing and one was laying on his back under a barrel, catching all the drippings in his mouth. They all fell silent and turned towards their king."Leave", was all Jareth had to say to send them all scurrying away. Before leaving a few quickly tidied to room, clearing mugs and putting upturned future back into place, dragging their half conscious friends out by their ankles. The room went from a ragging party to neat and quiet within seconds. They must do this often. "You", he stopped a random goblin in his tracks. "Go tell the kitchen to prepare some food for our guest". I scoffed at the word "guest".I glared at Jareth, pulling my arm out of his grasp, before I turned and made my way over to the nearest arched window. The sky outside was as orange as a summer afternoon. The city was vast, the houses looked to be made of mostly stone. Beyond that was the labyrinth. It looked like it went on for miles. No matter which way I went it would take me days to traverse it."Admiring the view?" I jumped as Jareth suddenly spoke in my ear. "If you want I can make it last an eternity". I knew he was right. Legolas POV "My king are you sure this is the best idea?" One of my guards asked as he and five others circled Malekiths hybonation tank. After his defeat we had it transported to the dungeons. We had to break the wall down between two cells to fit it. From the outside it looked like part of a spaceship. It was built from ancient black steal, dark runes engraved across them. The medic pressed down on the runes and the doors opened to reveal Malekith suspended inside his armour. His head covered by a sensory depravation helm. The medic looked towards me waiting for his orders. I nodded towards him, signalling for him to continue. My guards stood firm, pointing their spears towards the dark king. The medic pressed down on a few more runes and the helmet opened to reveal Malekiths scared face. The medic nervously stepped forward, he pulled a syringe from his kit and injected the clear liquid into the king's neck. Malekith began to stir. His eyes soon met mine."Legolas", he growled. I stepped forward and pointed my sword at his throat."We need to talk"
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
"Why have you awaken me?" Malekith growled. His gaze went from me to the medic. "traitor!" He snarled. The medic backed away from Malekith to stand behind my guards."We need answers", I responded. He turned his glare back towards me, his hands clenching and unclenching as he attempted to pull at his restraints. "Years ago you managed to find a way to travel between our dimension and that of the goblin kingdom. A feat only achieved by that of the goblin King himself. Tell me how you managed it". I stood firm."And why would I tell you?" He asked. "Thinking of sending the vile little creatures back to their homeland", he replied, referring to the goblins. "Or.... Did he take someone you care about?""The reason does not matter", I snapped pressing my sword harder against his throat. "You will tell me what I want to know". He didn't even register my blade."I can tell you what you wish to know. But only if you do something for me first", Malekiths face was cold as stone as he tried to bargain with me."What do you want?" I growled."You can't be serious?" I heard one of the guards say. "You can't bargain with a monster"."Enough!" I yelled towards the guard. "What do you want?""For you to set me free". The room fell silent. I could sense the concern of my men. There was no way in hell I would set Malekith free. He was honestly lucky I did not have him executed."That will never happen"."Then you better pray that whoever wished the person away finds them in time because if not you will never see them again", Malekith growled. "If you aren't going to let me out then leave me alone to slumber"."You will tell me what I need to know!" I yelled pressing the blade harder against his throat. A small drop of black blood oozed out from under my blade."You aren't going to do anything to me", he glared down at me. "If you were going to kill me you would have done so already". He was right. "I will give you this piece of advice. Jareth tends to leave "keys" to the labyrinth everywhere he goes. You just need to know what to look for". Readers POV Jareth lead me from the window and sat me down at the previously upturned table. A small group of goblins rushed in holding trays of food and drinks. They quickly set the table before rushing out in a blur. Never before had I seen goblins work this fast.Jareth and I sat across from eachother. I glared at him from across the table as he ate some form of roast meat and strange looking vegetables. I had never before seem what looked to be pink carrots, black peas or possible green mashed potatoes. I refused to eat what was in front of me out of spite."Come now. You must be starving", Jareth said before taking a sip of ale. He was right. I wasn't sure how long I had been here and my stomach was starting to growl like crazy."I will eat when I get home", I spat. Jareth angrily slammed his drink down on the table."When will you get it through your thick skull that no one is coming to rescue you?!" He snapped."Legolas will find a way", I smirked. "You really shouldn't underestimate him". Jareth pinches the bridge of his nose and groaned in frustration."No one wished you away so no one is coming for you. The only way out of my realm is through me! The sooner you understand that the better". My body was shaking in anger. I didn't even give it a second thought before I grabbed a handful of the green mashed potatoes and through them at his head. The green mush splattered across his face. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath before he wiped some mush out of his eye. He got up from his seat and walked around the table towards me. He grabbed my arm, ripping me up from my seat."You are a very stubborn woman", he growled in my face. I reacted by slapping him across his cheek. Jareth growled once more before lifting me up to sit on the edge of the table. I screamed into Jareths mouth as his lips met mine. He grazed his fingers up and down along my arms. I grabbed the front of his shirt, deepening the kiss. Jareth moved his hands from my arms to my thighs, gently pushing them apart. I felt a sudden cold breeze against my crotch.Jareth hissed when I bit his lower lip to punish him. He violently pushed me down by my shoulders to lay back on the table, covering my back in discarded food. The goblin King pushed my thighs widen before diving his face into my crotch. I squealed out as his tongue explored my slit. I ran my fingers through his hair pulling him in closer. God he had a talented tongue. It flicked across my clit.Jareth pulled away and flipped me over onto my stomach, striking me across the rear. I squealed before kicking my leg back, striking at his shin. He let out an annoyed grunt. I heard him undo his belt. I spread my legs wider. I gasped out as he pushed his rod into me slowly. He grabbed my thighs with his still gloved hands. As he slammed into me from behind the food from our discarded meal soaked into my nightdress. I prayed that this was not my only set of clothes. His hands, slowly, moved from my hips to my shoulders as he continued to plow me into the table. Jareth gripped my shoulders tightly, his fingers digging into my collarbones.I cried out as in pleasure as he pulled my body up against his, his strong arms wrapped around my chest pushing me down harder onto his rod. His lips met neck as he nusseled my neck, thrusting into me from behind.Jareth pulled out of me before lifting me up and carried me over to his throne. He sat down placing me on his lap, straddling him."I bet you have never been fucked on a throne before", the goblin King grabbed my hips and pushed me down onto onto his rod. I placed my hands on my shoulders and began to ride him."Actually I have", I mocked, earning myself a glare. "Twice", I leaned in and whispered into his ear. He growled, grabbed my hair pulling my head back. I laughed as we ground our hips hard together. I placed my hands on the back of the throne for leverage and continued to thrust up and down along his shaft. His grip on my hair tightened, pulling my head back, exposing my (S/C) throat. I could feel my climax begin to build. His free hand wrapped around my waist pulling me in as close as I could get.My pleasure reached it highest peak as Jareths teeth latched onto my throat. I continued to scream and grind on his rod. He wrapped his arms around me tightly. I could tell by how he groaned against my throat that he had came deep inside of me. When he finally released my throat I collapsed into his arms.I lay there against his chest, breathing heavily. My hair and body covered in discard food and sweat. God I hated myself. But I hated Jareth more.“I wish to play your stupid game.“I’m intrigued. Explain”.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
“I wish to play your stupid game", I said between gasps of air. I knew that without Jareths aid there was no way out of this place. But I also knew there was no convincing him to let me go either. My only option was to try and outwit him. And what better way would be to use his own game against him. I knew at least one other had played his game and won. Sure she had Tauriels help but I have studied enough old folk tales that I felt pretty confident that I could beat him. I just prayed I wasn't mixing confidence up with arrogance.“I’m intrigued. Explain”, Jareth sat there barely phased by what we had just done. If our first night/day was any indication I doubt one round would satisfy him for long. "Not sure how you could "play my game" you are already in my castle", he mocked.“Instead of finding my way into the goblin city I find my way out. If I make it to the outside of your labyrinth you take me home""And if you lose what do I get?" He asked as I pulled myself up to look him in the eye."I will stay here willingly". I explain. "I will make no attempts to escape. I will behave and do as you wish". Even if I lose at least this way I could buy some time for someone back home to come and get me. I didn’t believe Jareth for a second when he said that no one was coming but I wasn’t going to just sit back and do nothing."Sounds like a great idea", Jareth all but cheered as he quickly stood, lifting me up off the throne. He placed me down onto my feet and tucked his rod back into his pants. "But first I think it would only be fair to let clean yourself up before I start the clock on you".“Oh how considerate”. He glared at my sarcasm. He grabbed my arm before leading me back through the castle. I half expected him to take me back to the room I had been in before but to my surprise he lead me to another door. Inside was a large four clawed tub already filled with warm water and rose petals. Just above it was a window with a small latch on the side keeping it shut. "And fresh cloths?". Jareth rolled his eyes then snapped his fingers. My cloths from the previous day, or possibly even today, appeared on a hanger hanging from a strange hook on the wall. My shoes on the floor bellow them. The hook looked like a tiny metal hand, grasping the hanger in a tight grip. I was relieved to know that he didn't just throw them out. I turned and placed my hand on Jareths chest, gently pushing him out of the room before shutting the door in his face."It's not like I haven't seen you naked before!" He shouted through the wall before storming off. I quickly slid of my nightgown and slowly eased myself into the bath. The hot water felt amazing on my skin. I scrubbed the food and cum out of my hair and off my body. Jareth sure did like to make a mess of me.I lent back, resting my head on the back of the tub and looked out through the window at the sky. That's when I had an idea. If I wasn't too high up, and depending on the castles brickwork, there is a chance I could climb down. I pulled myself up out of the water and quickly dried myself off. When I grabbed my cloths off the hook I jumped in fright when the metal hand suddenly opened to release the coat hanger. I pulled my shirt and pants on and ran over to the window. As I looked down I saw a small garden surrounded by a hedge. Beyond that, the city. But from here I could see the city gates.I took a deep breath before opening the latch on the window, sighing in release as I was able to push the window open. I could see that we were at least three, if not four stories high. Looking down I saw that the window was low enough to the ground as to not to die if I fell but still high enough to cause serious injury. But what choice did I have. I just prayed that the window wasn't like the hallway and crawling out I wouldn't end up back inside.I pushed the window open as wide as it would go and climbed out. I have (always/never) been scared of heights so climbing down the side of the castle was extremely (difficult/easy) for me.I focused mainly on where I placed each of my feet before I moved down with my hands. Feeling around to find the best spots to grip and climb down on. I gasped in fear as my right foot lost its footing, nearly causing me to fall. I could feel the wind blowing against my back almost like it was trying to get me to fall.I was about a story from the ground when I suddenly lost my footing and fell. I landed with a hard thud. The soft grass barely cushioning my fall. I lay in the grass groaning in pain, trying to recover as quickly as possible. The wind knocked out of me. I staggered to my feet, brushing the dirt and grass off my cloths. I straightend up, arching my body back to stretch out my shoulders and spine. I let out a sigh of relief when I didn't just end up back inside of the castle.Nothing was broken so I knew I was good to go. I turned and froze in place. Leaning against a large balder, Jareth stood looking at me with a disappointed gaze."You humans are extremely predictable", he stated as he pushed himself off the balder and made his way over to me. "How can I trust you to live up to your end of the deal when you sneak out before the game has even had a chance to begin". The goblin King grabbed me by the shoulder, holding me in place. "Guards!" He yelled. The ground began to rumble. A large group of heavily armoured goblins flooded the small grassy area. Jareth through me towards the group. I screamed, flailing my arms around as they grabbed me by my limbs and lifted me up over their heads."Let me go!" I screaming trying in vain to free myself from their grip. The horde of goblin soldiers carried me back into the castle. I barely had a chance to properly map my surrounds in my head as they carried me deeper and deeper into the castle. The deeper we went the darker the halls became."Where are you taking me!" I screamed, managing to kick one of the goblins, the heal of my shoe striking the top of his helmet. He grumbled as the groups grip tightened. From the corner of my eye I could see Jareth following us. An enraged scowl across his face. The horde slowly reduced in numbers as the halls began to narrow leading us down a set of dark stairs. The torches on the wall barely doing anything to light our way. The group stopped to throw me into a dark room. I groaned as I landed on the cold hard stone floor.I looked up to see Jareth standing in the doorway. With a wave of his hand a gold, decorative clock appeared before me. For some strange reason this clock had thirteen hours marked instead of the usual twelve.“You have thirteen hours to escape this dungeon and solve my labyrinth or your soul is mine for eternity”, he hissed down at me. The clock began to tick as jareth slammed the door shut in front of me. I jumped to my feet and ran to where I saw the door. In the dark I felt around looking for the edges of the door but all I found was stone.“No!” I shriek. How was it possible for the door to suddenly vanish. I kicked off a shoe and placed it up against the wall. With my hands up against the wall I walked around the room feeling for the door. Imagine my surprise when as I walked, feeling no corners, doors or even cracks, I ended up back where I started. My foot kicking the edge of my shoe. I screamed in frustration. Without my phone or even a watch I had no idea how much time I had wasted looking for an escape. I leant my back against the wall and slipped down to the ground. I put my shoe back on as I tried to think. Surely the room wasn’t completely empty.I got on all fours and felt around the floor hoping to find some way to escape. A trap door. A key. Or even a tile where if you accidentally stepped on it it triggered a bunch of mechanisms like in those old adventure movies. As I felt around I realised that the floor was different to the walls. Instead of a smooth surface there seemed to be different sizes and shaped stone work.“If only I could see what was in front of me”, I muttered. As I felt around the different patterns I was reminded of what I used to do as a child when I couldn’t find my way in the dark. I closed my eyes and pictured what the room might have looked like in the light. It was easier in my childhood home as I already knew the layout but I figured anything was worth a shot right now. With my hands I mapped out the floor. As I memorised the tile pattern as best as I could I noticed that some in a small cluster could be plucked from their spot in the ground while in other parts their were dents where tiles were supposed to be. Out of curiosity I grabbed a loose tile and placed it into a hollow dent. As the tile fit into the hole it lit up. Painted on the tile was a Star. I let out a small cheer and felt around for more lose tiles and dents. With each new tile moved I began to recognise the pattern. Each tile was a star from the Constellation (Y/star sign). With the last stone in place the room was fully lit. I let out a loud cheer. Soon a door started to appear in the wall. I wasted no time charging through it. That was a mistake. As I stepped through the door the ground gave way beneath me. I screamed as my body fell through a dark tunnel. The longer I fell the more it seemed like tunnel was never ending.Soon a light could be seen at the end of the tunnel. Part of me was worried That I had died. That soon passed when my body collided with something soft and red. My limbs tangled with the soft red fabric. I managed to pull myself free of my fabric prison only to find myself back in "my bedroom". The hole in the ceiling"Shit!" LEGOLAS POV I sat in my bedroom, my laptop resting on my lap in bed as I scoured the internet looking for tales of portals to magic dimensions but all I could find were fictional novels and fairy tales I already knew had no bases in reality. I interrogated many of the goblins who hailed from his kingdom but they all said the same thing. They used to be able to travel from our world to their pocket dimension but Jareth had destroyed the portals, stopping them from ever being able to be opened again. They told me that after the time of man began more and more of their kind were forced into hiding. With the fall of each goblin "king" their numbers continued to dwindle. In a last bit attempt to save their people the owl King, the last of the goblin rulers, created the goblin city. The goblins had been allowed to travel between the two realms but when Jareth took the throne he put a stop to it. All tools to open portals were destroyed. My hope was that he somehow missed a portal key or two that we could find. Or even a way to make one of our own.I sat in the blue light of the computer screen wondering how Jareth could travel between realms. Surely he has his own tool or magical artifact. So many questions were running through my mind. Why would Jareth agree to negotiations if we was going to betray us. Why take (Y/N) and leave his subjects behind? What was he planning? What did Malekith mean when he said that Jareth leaves keys everywhere he goes? Nothing was making any sense to me.I sat reading a news article from fifty years ago about a woman who was locked up in a mental asylum after claiming that her son was kidnapped by goblins. Authorities at the time believe that she killed her son and told herself that story to help cope with the trauma. I was halfway through the article when I heard a knock on my door."Who is it!" I called out as I closed my laptop."Just me", Tauriel replied."Come in", I called out getting up from the bed. She came in holding (Y/N)s a phone."Why do you still have that?" I asked pointing to said phone."While interviewing the students it was revealed that Miss Oakenshield had left the room during Jareths talk to take a phone call", she explained. "I looked through her phone and saw that the last person she called was her mother. I called (M/N) Oakenshield back and asked her what she and (Y/N) talked about". Tauriel face paled. "I have a feeling Jareth and (Y/N) have met before....""What happened?" Before she had a chance to answer my father burst into the room."Father?""Why didn't you tell me (Y/N) was taken!" He was not happy.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
"Shit shit shit shit shit!" I screamed. Being back in the room where I woke up did nothing but piss me off. I felt like I took one small step forward and one massive leap backwards. I detangled myself from the smooth satin sheets and dragged myself out of the bed. The room was basically the same except now the door was completely different. No longer was it a plain wooden door but now it was covered in wooden tiles some plain while others had strange and different markings. No two were alike.
As I inspected each piece of the door I saw that there was a tile missing in the bottom left corner of the door. So logically I figured I needed to find the missing tile.I started by looking under the furniture, even takening the time to crawl under the bed. I ripped open the wardrobe, pulled out the draws and ripped the sheets from the bed. Sadly no tile."This can't be right!" I screamed as I ripped open the pillows. I ripped the feathers from their casing, throwing them around the room. If I wasn't meant to replace a missing tile then what was the point of it. I jumped up off the bed and charged towards the door in an attempted to break it down. All I accomplished was bouncing off the door and landing on the floor. I glared up at the door, cursing Jareth under my breath.Once against I stared at the tiles. This time taking the time to look at each individual one wondering if the solution isn't to find the missing tile then what was it? When I looked at one tile and saw that it appeared to have most of a familiar looking eye carved into it. I got on my hands and knees and studied the tiles closer. The more I looked the more I realised that this was a puzzle. I touched the piece to the right on the blank square and pushed it aside. It slide across with ease.Piece by piece I manipulated the puzzle. The distorted image slowly became clearer and clearer. I backed away from the door to admire my work. Before me was the image of Jareth cloaked in a long flowing robe, an owl perched on his shoulder, a crystal in his hand. I couldn't help but laugh. And my ancestors thought Thranduil was vain.As I slide the final tile into place the door unlocked allowing me to push it open. I took a deep breath and prepared myself to look down the never ending hallway. When I opened the door and entered the hall I was surprised to find that the hallway had completely changed. Instead of a never ending corridor I found myself in a small room facing three doors. Each door was identical except for the knobs. Each looked like a different sleeping metal goblin head.To make sure there wasn’t any tricks I jogged down each end of the room, making sure that there weren’t any strange enchantments waiting for me. Down one end a blank wall. The other end had three hooks. Each one holding a different key.I grabbed the first key. They were nothing too special. They looked no different from most skeleton keys that fit into most old furniture. Reminds me of the key from my grandmothers old China cabinet. I approached each door but could not seem to see any locks. I approached the middle door and bent over to inspect the door knobs up close. I gasped when the door knobs eyes opened and looked straight at me.“What are you looking at”, it growled before letting out a big yawn. I just stared at the handle, eyes wide with shock.“What’s the big idea!” Another groaned. Soon all three doorknobs were awake and staring right at me.“You can talk?” Was all I could muster up.“Of course we can talk” the one on the right snapped. “We got mouths don’t we”.“How is this possible?” I yelled out as I backed away from the doors. “You’re just a bunch of knobs”. The three of them grumbled and growled, offended by my words.“Your a knob!” The middle one yelled.“I’m sorry I offended you. I have had a rather rough day”, I explained.“Still not an excuse to be a jerk”, the left one snapped. When he opened his mouth to yell I got an idea.“Maybe you guys can help me”, I held up the key in my hand. “I need to get out of the castle. Could putting a key in your mouths unlock the door?” I asked, praying I didn’t anger them farther.“Well of course it will”, the middle one grumbled. “But heed our warning”“One of us will lead you out of the castle”, explained the one on the right. “The other two dead ends”.“Emphasis on the dead part”, laughed the one to the left. I took a deep breath and approached the one on the right.“May I?” I asked holding the key to his mouth. He nodded and opened his mouth wide. I placed the key in his mouth and he shut his mouth around it.“Now twist the key clockwise”, the middle one yelled. I did as I was told and twisted the key until I heard the lock click. I pulled the door open only to see a grey stone wall.“Oh no!” I cried out.“better luck next time”, the left one continued to mock. I walked over to the wall with the remaining keys and grabbed them. Marching back over to the doors I shoved a key into the left knobs mouth causing him to gag and glare at me. I twisted the key after he clamped his mouth shut around it. When I opened the door I was met with a group of four goblins smoking and playing what looked to be some form of poker. I looked around the room only to see that there was no exit inside. Not even a window I could slip through. They ignored me for a minute or two before they all turned to glare at me until I felt so uneasy that I had no other choice then to shut the door. The second I close the door the knob let out a muffled laugh around the key still stuck in his mouth. I held the last key up in front of me and turned to face the middle door.“Lucky last”, I said to him as I slide the key into his mouth. When I opened the door at first I saw nothing but darkness. I stepped, feeling the walls around the entrance hoping to find some form of light switch. As I peered into the darkness my eyes began to adjust. Soon I was just able to make out the edges of a large shape crouching in the corner. The creature turned its head towards me, it’s eyes burning red in the darkness. In my panic I grabbed the door and attempted to slam it shut. As the door came close to closing a red furred, clawed hand reached out through the gap, slashing at me. It clawed and flailed around as I tried desperately to shut the door. I rammed my body against the hard wood hoping that the pain from the door slamming against it would cause the monster to pull its arms inside.“I told you about the “dead ends”, laughed the left door, his worded slightly muffled with the key in his mouth. With one final body slam against the door the monster pulled its arm back into the room. I wasted no time locking the door and ripping the key from the handles mouth.“Watch it? That hurt!” The doorknob snapped at me.“Sorry”, I gasped out between breaths. I leant my body against the door and slide down to the ground."Oh god", the door knob grumbled. "You ain't gonna start crying are ya?""No", I lied. I let out a quiet sob. I was scared, trapped and running out of time. I just wanted to go home. I had a choice to make. Sit here and wait out the rest thirteen hours or risk being mauled to death by whatever monster was hiding behind the door.As I sat there on the cold hard floor the left door burst open as one of the card players exited the little room. He was muttering something about someone cheating and how he was going to get his money back one way or another. In He slammed the door shut behind him, grumbling the entire time. He ripped open the door on the right and walked inside. I sat there with my mouth agape not knowing how it was physically possible for him to walk through a solid wall. He soon shut the door behind him.I quickly jumped up from my spot on the floor and ran towards that door, ripping it wide open. Again I was met with the solid wall."What the hell!" I screamed. I just wanted to punch something. Anything. I balled my first and swung at the wall. To my surprise my my first hit nothing but empty air. I lifted both my hands up and stepped through the doorway. Turns out the wall wasn't as close as what I had originally thought. The doorway lead into a dark corridor. Down one end a set of stairs that lead upwards, the other another door. From memory we were at least four stories up so going upstairs would be pointless.“Suck it jareth”, I cheered as I made my way towards the door. As I reached for the handle I paused to think. Things aren’t always what they seemed here. What if the door was a trap? A misdirection. I shook my head clear as I pushed open the door. Jareth POV Water rippled around my body as I stepped into the bath. Fresh water and and lavender surrounded me as I sat back to relax. Oh how I enjoyed a warm bath. The only thing that would have made it better would be the warm body of another sitting between my legs. I closed my eyes envisioning the young Miss Oakenshield sitting in front of me. Her (H/L)(H/C) were from the water, draped down her (neck/back). Her (S/C) back covered in droplets.I shook the image out of my mind. Now wasn't the time to fantasize. I waved my hand in the air materialising a crystal. Peering inside I saw (Y/N) as she trashed the room I made for her. I couldn't help but feel a little offended. I worked to craft the perfect room for her. No matter, I could always create another. It took her a while but she was finally able to solve the second puzzle."You are smarter then I realised", I laughed. "Such a cleaver girl"."My lord?" I heard a small timid voice say from behind the door."What is it?" I asked as I watched the girl unlock a door."I bought you your tray", the small goblin said as he pushed the door open slightly. In his hands he carried the tray with a mug of ale on it, above his head. It was almost bigger then he was. I was honestly surprised that he was able to balance it in the first place. He scurried over to me, holding the tray up for me to take my drink. I grabbed my drink before waving him off."Do you thinks she might be the one this time my king?" Annoyed, I turned my glare towards the servant. His eyes widened with fear before he scurried out of the room. The door slamming behind him.I laid back and pondered as I continued to watch the girl through the crystal. How was I going to continue to stop her? I wondered. I doubted she would be able to make it out of the castle but, from experience, I knew by now that humans were not to be underestimated. Time and time again I was reminded of that. But rarely did any ever succeed in beeting me. Sure there's been a small select few but for every failure there were many many triumphs. Unfortunately none have truly been worthy of me.I watched the girl open each door not knowing that the one she needed to take was the one with the beast inside. The passage would have lead her straight to the gardens. Must not have been much of a fighter. Not her fault really. How was she supposed to know that the beast was completely blind and was reacting solely to sound and air movement. If she had been quiet and moved slowly she probably would have passed it and be halfway off the palace grounds by now. At least she was still alive. I do wonder how many my pet, both human and goblin alike, has eaten over the centuries.I sat up in horror as she followed a drunken fool through the wrong door. I watching praying she would choose to go up the stairs. Last thing I needed was for her to go into that room.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Jareths POV That was one door I did not need (Y/N) going through. My body trembling with rage towards the imbecile who showed her that hall. My powers can warp and change my kingdom but even I have limits. Getting rid of rooms takes a lot of time. It's easier to just move it to another part of the castle or merge two together. I didn't have time to enchant the door to send her to another part of the castle, before she had already walked through.I watched (Y/N) step into the room. At first she didn't seem to take any notice of my dolls. That was until she bumped into one. I chuckled as the girl fumbled, grabbing at the maniquins skirt, trying desperately down to stop the doll from falling. (Y/N) stood the doll back in place and began to pat a later of dust of its ballgown. I watched as the human girls face turned from calm to horrified as things finally clicked for her. She frantically grabbed the doll by its shoulders and shook it, attempting to wake it from its suspended state. When that didn't work she ran to one wearing an olive green suit and waved her hands in front of its face, screaming at it to wake up."Jesus Christ, what has Jareth done to you?" She yelled, frantically trying in vain to wake them. I couldn't help but be amused at her efforts. As I watched her try and fail to awaken my dolls an idea began to form in my mind. It was already too late, she had already seen my collection. But I could turn this situation back to my advantage. I climbed out of the tub and quickly dressed myself. I admired the midnight blue suit in the mirror, the diamonds sewed into the silk sparkling in the light. With a wave of my hand a horned mask appeared across my face. Readers POV My heart was racing like crazy. My body shaking. These were people. REAL PEOPLE. No matter what I did they didn’t move. Shaking, slapping, I even kicked one in the balls. It was like they were paralysed. Frozen in place. No matter what I did I could not wake them. They were all dressed like they were attending an old Victorian era, or even older, masked ball. When I ran into the first one I was shocked when I felt how real her arms were when I patted the dust off her. But when I looked into her eyes and the light of the fireplace flashed across her eyes I saw her pupils change size. I felt so sick. Who were these people? Why were they here?I nearly threw up when I saw one of them lying on the floor. His face was sunken and pale. I didn’t have to touch him to know he was dead. I heard a quiet muttering. I hid behind a woman with an extremely wide skirt, when a goblin man, holding a torch, walked in from the shadows.“Another one”, he groaned out before he grasped the corpse by its ankles and dragged it over to the fireplace. He pulled a lever and the fireplace opened up into a furnace. He carelessly kicked the body into the flames. I couldn't help but let out a scream. I don't know who that man was but I knew he did not deserve to have his body thrown into the incinerator. The goblin quickly turned to face me. I grabbed a walking stick off one of the frozen people and swung it towards the goblin. He ducked as I bought the cane down at his head."You're awake!" He nearly sounded like he was cheering. He grabbed at the cane as I continued to swing it at him. "Look I know this all seems very frightening but I can help you!" He yelled as he managed to rip the walking stick from my hands."You can help me?" I asked as I looked him over. I couldn’t see any weapon's but that doesn't mean that they weren't hidden. "what is this place?""This is where the master keeps his.... Dolls until he plans to use them", the goblin explained. The sick feeling in my stomach got worse. "Wait. Why aren't you dressed like the others?" He asked looking down at my outfit. Before either of us could say anything the room was suddenly filled with a bright light. The walls turned from grey brick to white marble. Collumes appeared from the ground and soon the "dolls" began to twitch and spring to life. They began to dance around and laugh like they were in the middle of a party. The goblin man called out to me as he was shunted out of the way by the dancing crowd. He tried calling out to me but his voiced was drowned out as music began to play. The dancers moved to the music. I tried to move around them, trying desperately to find an exit of some sort. A male dancer in an embroidered orange suit and lion faced half mask, grabbed me and dragged me onto the dance floor. I tried to pull myself from his grip only for him to laugh and push me into the arms of another dancer. At one point I was thrown into the arms of a woman in a purple dress. She spun me around the dance floor. As she flung me towards another dancer I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror. My entire look had been changed. My (H/L)(H/C) was pinned back with with gem encrusted pins. My work cloths were replaced with a floor length powdery (F/C) dress. Great. More magic.I managed to rip myself out of yet another dancers arms. I tried to find my way out of the ball room but there seemed to be no exit. Every little arch just lead back to the dance floor or a sitting area. When I dodged the grasp of another dancer I turned and came face to face with Jareth. Execpt it wasn't Jareth. His face was very similar yet somehow so different. There were lines across and down his face. As he moved I could see them shift. I swear I heard a clock ticking inside of him."Hello there", I heard a soft voice say. Standing beside not Jareth was woman with bright orange hair, tied back in a bun. Her dress a faded yellow. "Are you alright?" She asked. Unlike the others, whose eyes were glassy and dead, she seemed aware of everything around her."Wh who are you?" I asked, nervously looking between her and not Jareth."My name is Maria. And this is my husband Albert", she replied guestering to the "man" beside her. "You are shaking", Maria let go of her husband's arm and gently took me by the hand. "Come sit with me". I eyed her cautiously as she lead me over to a gold and white french style sofa."You aren't like the others", I said as the two of us sat down. She simply smiled at me as her "husband" placed his hand on her shoulder. "Who are you?""I did introduce us did I not", she chuckled."Yes but why are you awake while the others aren't", I turned and pointed to Albert. "and what is he?" An irritated look flashed across his face."The others are dolls. Created to keep myself and my husband company while our son tends to the kingdom", she explained."Your son?" I sat there confused. "Are you telling my that you are Jareths parents?""Well if course", Maria smiled at me."Jareth told me a story of how he became king. But he left out some details", I explained. "Are you the woman who braved the labyrinth to get back her son". She smiled and nodded. "And you?" I asked pointing to Albert."I am a version of his father who loves his mother". I looked at him, confused. "The owl King saw how brave and determined Maria was and feared that she would win", he stroked her hair. "He created me to lure her away from her mission and kill her", his eyes filled with sorrow. "The owl King did too good of a job. He wanted to be as convincing and realistic as possible. He just never expected me to develop feelings. To become truely alive"."If you are here and Jareth is king, does that mean you failed to save him?""Yes and no", Maria sighed. "I failed to save him before time had run out. But even then I did not give up. I defeated the owl King but when I tried to take my son back to the human world. Unfortunately we were bound to the labyrinth and became trapped between the world's. It was only a few seconds in this world but to us it was a lifetime of happiness. I got to raise my son and watch him grow up. When we were able to leave our void Jareth was ready to rule". She seemed so happy. "My son knew I we could never return to earth, more did I belong among his people so he built us this void so that I can be with the man I love for all of eternity"."And what of the others?" I asked, trying not to shout. I did not want to gain unwanted attention."Whatever do you mean?" She asked."The others your son has trapped here in your little void", I stood up and guestered to the party guests. "These are real people. Are you aware that Jareth has been kidnaping people!" She and Albert just sat their perfectly still. "Well?". Neither of them moved or responded. "Maria?" I waved my hand in front of her face but she did not move. "Albert......” He too was frozen. As I slowly backed away from them my back made contact with someone’s chest. A pair of gloved hands ran their fingers over my arms before taking me by the hand and spinning me around to face him. The man wore an extravagant blue and gem encrusted suit. Even behind the demon mask I knew this had to be Jareth. The real Jareth. He lead me back to the dance floor before placing his other hand on my hip encouraging me to dance with him. I glared up at him as we dancing around the ballroom. I knew pulling away right now would be a bad idea so I just let the music to take hold of me."Who are all these people?" I asked, our bodies continued to moving to the music."Does it really matter?" He asked. I glared up at him. "These people are not your concern. All you should be thinking about is getting out. Not like you can escape here in your own anyway", he laughed and dipped me."You continue to underestimate me. I'm smarter then you give me credit for", I snapped back and he pulled my body up against his. The goblin King smirked under the mask. He place my hand that was in his on his shoulder before reaching into his jackets inside pocket. From it he pulled out a small gold pocket watch. It looked like a tiny version of the clock he showed me earlier."We have been playing this game for three hours now's and you haven't even gotten out of the castle", he mocked. "If you do manage to get out now you won't have enough time to make it through my labyrinth". Jareths laugh was cold. "Just give up now. Save yourself the pain. You will never win", he growled down at me. I’m not going to lie, he scared me. I glared into his eyes and pushed him away. The music stopped and the dancers began to fade away."You are truly despicable", I spat at him. "You think of humans as nothing more then playthings". Jareth removed the mask from his face and glared towards me. "You are a monster!" I screamed at him. Jareth glared at me. The room filling with silence as the music suddenly stopped."I can show you what a real monster looks like", he growled at me as he pulled one of his crystal balls out of the air. The goblin King turned from me and pegged the crystal at the wall. The marble shattered like glass, shards raining down around us exposing the stone walls of his castle. I ducked and covered my face with my arms to protect myself from the falling shards. Suddenly the larger shards began to fly around the room like debre blowing in a hurricane. The shards began to merge into eachother. Piece by piece the shards began to take the shape of a four legged beast. Shards stuck out all over its body. Even if the teeth did not rip me to shreds one blow from its body would. The creature roared and lunged at me. All I could do was run. I didn’t know which way to go. Jareth laughed as I ran back through the door I had entered through earlier that day. The beast charged through the door as I ran through the small hall and up the stairs. At the top of the stairs was door. When I through it open all that was in front of me was just ANOTHER long hall. I screamed when the beast rammed the doorway, getting stuck in the process. I screamed, leaping down to the floor to dodge the swipes of its claws. As I crawled backwards as the the doorframe began to crack and splinter. As the creature managed to force half his body through the doorway, many of its shards breaking off and flew through the air.Just as the creature managed to force its way into the hall the door to my right opened up. Two young African American women stood in the doorway. They each grabbed me by my arms and pulled me through the door. Slamming it behind us.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
The young women grabbed me and pulled me through the door. Slamming it shut behind me. I looked at their faces and knew that they weren’t much older then eighteen. Under their brown and green goblin cloaks they wore old long dresses. Dresses that looked like they were designed over a hundred years ago."Come on hurry", one said as she helped me up from the ground. The other placed a large plank of wood across the door, baracading us inside."Thank you for saving me. But who are you?" I asked as the other picked up a lantern from the floor. "And why are you helping me?""My name's Ada and this is my friend Nettie", the first one said as they lead me through the dark passage. "I know you must have a lot of questions but we don't have time to explain anything right now. But you need to trust us". I jumped in fright as the beast could be heard roaring and thrashing from the other side of the wall."We have to go now", Nettie basically yelled before grabbing my arm. The two women lead me through the long dark tunnel. Our only light came from the lamp in Ada's hand. Every time I tried to ask a question they would hush me. I wondered what could be in the tunnel that scared them into silence. Or maybe they feared the beast. Maybe even Jareth himself. I myself was worried that something would pop out of the shadows to attack. I was in a new world, anything was possible.Ada hung the torch up on a hook in the wall of the tunnel. She knocked on the stone like it was a door. Heck it even sounded like she was knocking on wood.I was amazed to see a section of the wall open up. On the other side of the gap was the goblin I met in the doll room."What took you to so long?" He grumbled as I was hurried into the new room."We didn't want to alert the monster to our location", Ada explained."Okay who are you people!" I just wanted to scream."We already introduced ourselves", Nettie said, a confused look on her face."I know that. But who are you? What are you?" My body was shaking. "Why are you helping me! I Can't believe Jareth tried to kill me!""It's okay", Ada slowly approached me and attempted to place her hands on my shoulders, only for me to smack them away. "Try to breath"."We know about your bet with Jareth and we want to help you", Nettie explained."Why?" I asked as I felt my heart begin to steady."Like you I to accidentally wished away someone dear to me", Ada explained as she held her friends hand. "I failed to save Nettie and as a result we have been trapped here for over a hundred years"."We don't want you to suffer our fate” Legolas POV "Why didn't you tell me (Y/N) was taken!" My father roared.“It only just happened”, I explained, trying desperately to calm him down. “We haven’t had the time to notify everyone”.“Just happened!” He snapped. “She was taken yesterday!”“My lord!” Tauriel grabbed my father by his shoulders and forced him to look at her. “We are doing everything we can to try and save her”.“And what progress have you made?” He asked. Tauriel did not respond.“Malekith said that jareth leaves keys where ever he goes”, I explained. “We just need to figure out what they might be”. I clicked on a new link on my computer when it hit me. (Y/N)s phone wasn’t the only thing found in the hallway. I looked across my desk to the crystal ball Tauriel had placed on there the day before. I had seen one like it before on (Y/N)s nightstand the night we first made love. I picked it up, showing it to the others.“Could this be the key?” I asked.“How could I be so blind?” Tauriel said as she took it from my hand. “Oh course. Jareth offered one to my friend all those years ago”.“A crystal ball”, My father took the ball and inspected it in his hand. “Human fortune tellers have been using them as windows into the future. They have been known to heal and be used to commune with other worldly beings”. He held the ball up into the light. “Just maybe….” My father began to whisper a strange chant as he waved his other hand over the crystal. The crystal began to shimmer.“Show me (Y/N)”.The orb began to glow. Am imagne of (Y/N) appeared in the glass. She looked utterly terrified. Her cloths were dirty and ripped. She was covered in cuts and bruises. A drop of blood ran down her cheek from her forehead. I was surprised to see both a goblin and two young human women trying to comfort her. We could see their lips move but we could not hear them."What are they saying?" I asked, getting up from my desk to get a better look."Give me a second to remember the correct spell". He continued to chant. Soon their voices became a soft whisper."Like you I to accidentally wished away someone dear to me", one of the girls explained. "I failed to save Nettie and as a result we were trapped here"."We don't want you to suffer our fate", the other girl said."Now let's get going", the goblin said as he pushed his way between the girls and (Y/N). "You don't have much time", he gently took Miss Oakenshield by the hand and began to lead her into the dark."So we can watch her”, Tauriel paused and looked between us. “Now what?" she asked. I looked between my father and the Orb and suddenly I had an idea. Jareths POV "Well isn't this interesting", I whispered to myself. I laid across my throne watching the little human. A servant knelt at my feet polishing my boots. The curiosity inside me grew when the two other humans appeared in the crystal. It was bad enough when one of my own servants decided to betray me by aiding her. But these two women. Where could they have come from. No human who comes to the labyrinth are free to wonder about outside the game without my permission. Yet here they were. I sat there watching as they lead Miss Oakenshield through the tunnels under the castle.I lay back looking at the ceiling trying to think of their names. So many humans have played my game, so many have failed, yet these two somehow managed to slip right under my radar."Think. Think", I muttered to myself as I searched my memories. "Ah Nettie and Ada". I remembered how Ada playfully wished away her dearest friend over a disagreement about collage. Oh how she begged for me to return Nettie. The way she cried. It was pathetic. I remember how easy it was for her to be trapped in her own little world. My only question now was how did they break free from my control? How did I not sense it?"Come on. Hurry now. This way", i heard the goblin say. I turned my attention back to the crystal. While my gaze was no longer turned towards my prize, they had lead (Y/N) through the tunnels under the castle and out into the city."She's already out of the castle", my servant said as he began to polish my other boot. "Well that was quicker then expected". I glared down at him."She still has to make it out of the city", I snapped. "My beast is still on her trail". I battered my servant away from my feet and stood, making my way over to the window. The sky's had begun to darken and soon night would fall. If the labyrinth was treterous during the day imagine how much more dangerous the place was at night.“Sound the alarm”. Readers POV. "So why does he do it?" I asked as we quietly creept through the goblin city, lead by our goblin guide."Does what?" Nettie asked in a hushed voice."Kidnap people and force their loved ones to play this sick game to get them back", I explained right before Ada grabbed Nettie and I and shoved us back into the shadows of a building."We .....don't know", Nettie replied. "We didn't get a chance to ask"."I heard rumour he does it to find a consort", the three of us humans turned to look at him. "Others say it's because we goblins are no longer entertaining to him"."Consort?!" The three of us said in unison."For centuries he would throw the most spectacular parties allowing all goblins to enter. We thought the fun would never end", he looked up to the sky's and smiled. Soon his face began to darken. His eyes filled with sadness. "But one day he just……. changed". He looked around the corner of the building before he ran across the street to hide behind another. He quickly checked to see if the coast was clear once more before he waved us over. I took a deep breath before we ran across the street to meet him."He started spending more and more time in the human world and then one day he returned holding a human child. He had been following a human maiden. After her mother passed her father remarried and had another child. One night when the girl was forced to care for him she, on impulse, wished that goblins would take him away". His words rang in my head. I heard myself as a child wishing the same fate on another. "He challenged the girl much like how he challenged you two. Its said that when she made it to the castle he begged the girl to give herself over to him. But she refused. Since her many humans have come and go. Most fail and are rather sent back to the human world alone or die horrible painful deaths, while others are trapped in here for all eternity. Lost in the labyrinth"."And what happens to those who aren't saved?" I asked almost to afraid to hear the answer."Children are turned into goblins with no memory of their human lives and well you saw what happens to anyone over the age of fifteen", he explained referring to the "dolls"."I believe he is looking for someone who is not only worthy of him while also willing to submit to his desires". I cringed at that idea. "Someone strong and cleaver who can rule the kingdom by his side but without the ability or willingness to overthrow him. Someone submissive and loyal". I cringed at his words."Basically a pet", I muttered. I understood how lonely it can be being the only human surrounded by magical beings. But it didn't matter how lonely he was there was still no excuse for what he has done. The lives he has ruined.“Hey!” I called out to the goblin as we got closer to a wall surrounding this part of the city. “I’m sorry I don’t think I got your name”.“Understandable”, he smiled at me. “It’s-“ A horn blasted before he could answer me. The ground began to shake.“We have to go!” Ada shouted. The four of us ran towards the wall. When I tried to turn towards the get one of them, I don’t know who, grabbed my arm and dragged me towards a heap of bushes. The goblin pulled the bushes aside revealing a tunnel barely wide enough for me to fit through. Someone behind me pushed me inside. I turned only to see a group of guards seize my new friends. I called out for them but the Ada managed to close the entrance of the tunnel, leaving me alone in the dark.“No no no no no”, I whimpered. I was scared and alone in a dark tunnel. The tunnel was quiet. I could no longer hear my companions or the soldiers who had surrounded us. My legs collapsed under me. My body began to tremble as tears poured from my eyes. I just wanted to go home.“There there. There’s no use cryin”, said a gruff voice.“Whose there”, I called out, frantically looking for a source of light. The man struck a match, lighting up his face. The man had a wrinkled face, large nose and ears and eyes. Clearly this man wasn’t human. Note did he look like a goblin. He was something else.“Here”, the strange man he pulled an old rag from his pocket. I took it and began to wipe my tears.“Wh who are you”, I asked nervously.“The names Hoggle”.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
"The names Hoggle", the strange little man said. He lifted an old rushed lantern and used the match to light it. “And you must be Jareths newest human toy". He sounded extremely board. "With the state of ya I'm surprised you have made it this far". The creature pointed towards my forehead. Confused I reached my hand up to touch my head and was surprised to find that I was bleeding. I winced as the tip of my fingers grazed my cut. With the adrenaline rush I got from running from the glass monster I did not notice the cuts all over my body. Some had stopped bleeding while others continued to drip."Shit", I cried out. "Shit shit shit!" I screamed, no longer caring if I got caught."Calm down", Hoggle sighed as he reached into his pocket pulling out a small green vile. "Dab this on yer wounds". He pulled the cork from the bottle and handed it to me."What is it?" I asked. “How do I know it's not poisoned?""Why would it be poison. Its a healing lotion", he explained. "Good for small cuts rubbish for stab wounds tho. If I wanted to kill yer I would just leave you alone to fend for yerself". I dabbed a small amount of the goo onto the tip of my finger and rubbed it across a small cut on the back of my hand. The wound glew green and sparkled before fading into the darkness. The cut healed instantly. I quickly dabbed the goo over every cut I could find."Thank you sir". I handed the bottle back over to Hoggle but he just waved me off and handed me the cork. I quickly sealed and slipped the vial into my pocket. I just knew I would end up needing it again."Sir?" He chuckled. "I like you". He walked around me and pushed open the entrance to the tunnel to peak through. "The coast is clear I'm sure you will be able to make it closer to the castle before yer get caught again"."I'm not trying to get to the castle", I snapped pulling him away from the entrance, quickly closing it."If yer ain't headed there where are ya headed?" He looked confused."To the Labyrinths exit"."Well that's a new one. Why yer headed that way. If you want the person he took back you are headed the wrong way"."He didn't take anyone from me. I was the one he kidnapped""Who wished you away? You trying to find em?""You ask a lot of questions?" I grabbed Hoggle by the front of his shirt. "Are you working for Jareth?" I snapped."No. Not any more", he explained pushing my hands off his shirt."Anymore?" I questioned."I used ta. But that was a long time ago". He turned and started walking in the opposite direction. "Well come on", he waved me over to him. I reluctantly followed. What choice did I really have."What changed?" I looked back and wondered what will happen to the others. What did Jareth plan to do with them for trying to help me. I knew it couldn’t be good. I wanted to help them but I didn’t know how. Maybe if I made it to the exit of the labyrinth I could convince Jareth to let them go. I doubt he would be it was my only hope."A friend taught me I didn't need to be afraid of Jareth", he held the torch up in front of us. It barely lit the path ahead. “He may be king but he got no power over me”, his step had a little happy bounce to it.“Where are we going?” I asked as my head scrapped the top of the tunnel as it slowly began to narrow.“Well you wanted to get out of the city didn’t ya? This is the only way out of the tunnel”, he rolled his eyes at me. “And you say I ask a lot of questions”, he grumbled.“Well I have every right to. In the last couple of days I have been kidnapped, imprisoned, psychologically tortured, attacked and chased. If I want to ask questions, especially if they will help me get home, I’m asking!” I yelled.“Yeah yeah. Whinging isn’t going to get yer home any faster”. He stopped when we came to what appeared to be another dead end. Knowing this place there had to be an invisible way out somewhere. “At the count of three jump. One, two-““What?” I cut in only to be ignored.“Three”, Hoggle jumped on the spot hard. As he landed the ground opened up beneath us, causing me to scream. I fell into another dark tunnel, my butt hit the hard ground as I began to slide. My body was tossed and turned as the tunnel bent and twisted. I couldn’t tell if Hoggle was in front or behind me as I heard him cheering. Branches and roots smacked me in the face. Small bursts of light flashed before my eyes. At the end of the tunnel I saw a bright light coming closer and closer.“FFFUUUCCCCKKKk!” I was suddenly flung from the tunnel and through the air and into the night sky. When I looked behind me I would see the lights of the city. As I began to fall I prayed that if I died it was quick. In my life I have been thrown around, impaled and had my bones broken. I knew that from this height I was bound to suffer some sort of horrible injury. I closed my eyes and waited for the pain to come. The wind blowing against my ears was deafening. To my surprise when I landed it was not on a hard flat surface. Instead I landed in something kind of soft. When I opened my eyes I was surrounded once more in darkness as whatever I had landed in engulfed me. As I moved I felt random items poke and prod at my ribs. As I continued to struggle to free myself the dark mass began to crinkle and shift. I cringed as a horrible smell filled my nose.I reached my hands up out of the mass that surrounded me, trying desperately to pull myself out of the darkness. A giant hand wrapped around my wrist and pulled me to the surface.“That wasn’t too bad was it?”Hoggle asked as he stood above me. He helped me up from the mass of what I discovered to be rotting trash.“I think I’m going to be sick”, I groaned as I struggled to stand.“Yeah those who live in the city dump all their trash outside the city walls. After a few centuries it built up”, he explained. A terrible pit like feeling began to form in my stomach. I turned back towards the city. Something wasn’t right. Deep in my gut I knew the others were in terrible danger.“I need to go back”.“Why?” Hoggle sighed. “You just got out. It’s a lot harder getting in then it is getting out ya know”.“I left my friends in there. Nettie, Ada and and…… shit I didn’t get his name”, I groaned.“He must not have been much of a friend if the didn’t know his name”, Hoggle grumbled.“They helped me get out of the castle. They sacrificed themselves so I could get free”, I explained.“Well it won’t be much of a sacrificed if you get yerself caught again. Now come on already”. I reluctantly followed him. I retched when my foot landed in a puddle of what I prayed was just mud.As we traveled through the piles upon piles of trash. The further away from the city walls we got the wider apart the piles became. Soon thin paths began to form. I tried to focus on the road ahead but as we walked onward I noticed that some of the piles were moving. Goblins with stacks of trash on their backs were sort through the piles. They searched through the piles pulling out whatever caught their eye and placing it onto their backs. But that wasn’t the only thing I found strange. In the taller piles were windows. Windows with brightly lit up rooms on the other side.“Do people actually build homes out here?”“No”, Hoggle quickly replied.“Then what’s with the windows. I saw a glimpse of a living room back there”, I pointed towards the window we just passed. His shoulders slumped as he sighed.“No one lives out ere because it’s not what anyone would call living”. He lead me towards a window that was lower to the ground. He balled his hand into a fist and wiped the dirt off the window. Inside was a woman in a brown dress, apron and bonnet. The room around her looked like she was in a barn. She sat on an old rickety stool spinning away on a spinning wheel. As I exemimmed her I noticed that her hands were empty. She was spinning nothing but air. Her face was blank, her eyes, glassy and dead.“What’s wrong with her?” I smacked on the window. “Hey! You in there!” Hoggle grabbed my arm to stop me.“There’s no helping her. These are the People who get lost in the labyrinth and never find what they are looking for”, he turned and lead me towards another window. “They are frozen in their own little voids doomed to relive the same hour over and over again for the rest of eternity. Better then the alternative”.“Alternative?”“Being torn up by the cleaner, ripped apart by monsters. Being dropped into the bog of eternal stench”, Hoggle turned back to face me. “Death”.“So Jareth did try to kill me”. I whispered under my breath. “He is a real monster”. That caused Hoggle to chuckle.“You can say that again”, he laughed.“You look very different from the other goblins”, I stated.“That’s cause I’m not a goblin”, he hopped over a broken stool. “I happen to be a dwarf”, he stated.“Wait! Really!”“You seem surprised”.“Sorry it’s just I have always wanted to meet a pure breed dwarf”. Hoggle looked at me confused once more. “I’m decented from dwarfs. My ancestors mined the Misty mountains of earth. This is incredible”, I knelt down in front of him so that we were at the same level.“I don’t see why. Us dwarfs ain’t anything special. At least I’m not”.“Don’t say that”, I patted his shoulders. “You seem like you are brave and kind. No ordinary person would help a complete stranger the way you are helping me”. He smiled at me.“You remind me of a friend I used to have”. He suddenly look even sadder. “I don’t want to talk about her”. I nodded to show I understood. As we continued to walk in silenced another window caught my eye. I couldn’t help but be drawn to it. I wiped away some of the dirt and peered inside.Inside the room a teenage girl sat, reclined on a pink inflated armchair. She sat across from an off television. I’m here hands was a controller for an old Nintendo console. She sat there acting like she was playing a game. She had pale orange hair, a lightly freckled face, and deep brown eyes.“Mandy!”Jareths POV “Hoggle”, I snarled. I stood atop the city walls watching the human girl as she traveled through the garbage dump. Once again the little traitor has decided to side with a human woman. His actions would not go unpunished. This woman was resilient. I couldn’t help but be impressed. With a snap of my fingers the glass beast was no more. Shards rained down in the hall from which it was trapped. I no longer needed it. I wanted (Y/N) alive.A new plan formed in my mind. Before the thirteenth hour she would give herself over to me. I already had plenty of leverage against her and she was providing me with plenty more. She just didn’t know it yet. I just needed to get her to where I needed.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Flashback Jareths POV The girl struggled in my grasp as I dragged her from the human world to mine. She was young. A child. Too young to consider taking as my bride but far to old to turn into a goblin. I started to wonder why I even bothered to take her. I had no real use for her. But maybe she can provide me with some entertainment. I placed her down on her feet. Together we stood over a kilometre away from the entrance to my labyrinth.“Who are you!” She screamed as she ripped herself from my grasp. “Where am I?!”“I am Jareth. King of the goblin’s”, I smiled down at her. “As for where you are. You are in my kingdom”.“Why am I here?” She dived down and grabbed a branch from the ground, holding it up like a weapon. “Where’s (Y/N)!” Try as she might she wold never be intimidating to me.“She is fine. She is there”, I pointed over towards my city. “In my castle”, I lied.“Why are you doing this?” I clenched my jaw tight. Her constant questions began to annoy me.“I merely granted the child her wish”, I smirked.“She’s just a kid throwing a tantrum. She didn’t know what she was saying”, the girl tried to reason.“Non the less what’s said is said”.“Please we need to go home”.“Forget about the child. Why do you are about that brat?”“I can’t. We have families that will look for us. She is my responsibility”.“What a pity. You could have chosen to live a decent life here but if you insist on going home all you have to do is walk to my castle and take her”,“That doesn’t seem that far”, she said as she looked over my kingdom.“It’s further then you think. Time is short”, I said leaning over her shoulder. She turned back towards me. “You have thirteen hours to solve my labyrinth or the child will become one of us forever”. I laughed as I transported myself back to my castle. I laid back across my throne and laughed. If she does manage to survive my labyrinth I could not wait to see the look on her face when she realises she made the trip for nothing. End of Flashback. Readers POV “Mandy!“ I called out. “What are you doing”, Hoggle ran to my side. “I already told you they can’t be woken”. I started banging my fists against the glass, trying desperately to wake her.“I have to try”, I pushed Hoggle off me when he tried to grab my wrists. “It’s my faults she’s in there”. I frantically began searching around for something long and hard enough to swing at the window. “When I was a little girl my grandma would tell me stories about how goblins would kidnap naughty children and take them away”. I dived into the side of the garbage wall and began to dig.“What’s that got to do with her?!” Hoggle shouted.“She was my babysitter. I was being naughty”. I managed to find a long sturdy piece of pipe. “I wished her away and that’s why she’s here. Stand back”. Hoggle dived behind a small mound of trash to protect himself from any glass that may fly in his direction. With each swing of the pipe cracks began to form in the glass. With one final swing the window shattered. Glass sprayed into the room but Mandy was unfazed. She didn’t even flinch when a shard flew through the air and sliced her cheek.“Mandy!” I called out to her as I climbed in through the window. “Mandy?” I stood between her and the old boxy television set. She just sat their continuing to play her imaginary game.“She can’t hear you!” Hoggle shouted from outside. I ignored him. I placed my hands on her shoulders and gave her a slight shake. Unfortunately that did not phase her.“Mandy wake up”. I shook her even harder. “You have given me no choice”. I raised my hand and slapped her as hard as I could. Mandy’s body was thrown against the inflatable armchair. The controller flew from her hands, shattering against the floorboards. Mandy slowly pulled herself up into a sitting position. She looked up at me, her eyes no longer dead and glassy. She quickly looked around the room then back towards me. In a panic she shoved me away from her and ran to the facade of her bedroom door. She grabbed the handle and through open the door. When the door opened she was met with a wall of putrid trash.“W what’s happening?” She backed away from the wall.“Mandy breath. It’s okay”, I slowly approached her. “You are free now”.“Free?” She turned towards me.“Do you remember how you got here?” I asked.“This is my bedroom”, she looked around guestering around her. “Isn’t it. Who are you". She paused to examine her “belongings”.“Think Mandy. What do you remember?”“I ummm”, she sat back down on her inflatable chair. “I think I was babysitting the neighbours kid”. She didn’t sound sure."Yes!" I cheered her on. "Do you remember the child's name?" She shook her head, looking around the room once more before she turned back to face me. As her eyes met mind they widened in horror."No no no no no no". She once more tried to back away from me, slipping off the chair. She groaned in pain as she landed in the carpet. "It can't be", she whispered. "Y you can't be her"."You remember me?" I held my hands out to her to help her up. Showing her that I meant no harm."You can't be (Y/N)! You are so old!" She cried out. She looked past me towards the window I had smashed my way through. Enough of the glass stayed intake for Mandy to see her reflection and how she still looked the same as when we had last seen each other. She stayed the same while I had aged (amount) years."Hey! I'm only (Y/A)!""That's like twice my age. This has to be a trick". She tried to push me away once more as she ripped herself up off the floor."Barely", I snapped."How are you here? Jareth said he was going to keep you if I failed. You've grown up which means I failed". I pulled the vial from my pocket, dabbing a small amount on my fingertip. She tried once more to smack my hands away as I smeared the lotion over her cut. Healing it instantly."Keep me?" I was confused. "What are you talking about?" She was panicking. She began to mutter to herself like she was trying to figure something out in her mind."The night he took us. He told me he would keep you if I failed to save you. And he has kept you all this time", she cried, wrapping her arms around me. "I'm so sorry I failed you". She began to sob into my shoulder. “I cannot imagine what it was like growing up here”."You have nothing to apologise for", I told her as I gently pulled her off of my shoulder. "I should be the one to apologise. I should have never wished you away. Jareth left me in the human world. He only kidnapped me this morning. Or was it yesterday?” With now time works here, I wondered how long I have actually been gone. “It doesn’t matter. You are free now”.“He lied to me?” She looked devastated. “Why would he do that?”“Because he is a sadist who uses humans for his own games”, I replied. “Let’s get you out of here. We need to get to the exit of the labyrinth”. I took her by her hand and lead her out into the garbage dump.“Why’d you go and help her. You know she is just going to slow us down”, Hoggle grumbled. “And if she doesn’t do you really think taking her back to the human world is a good idea. What does she have to go back to?”“Enough Hoggle”, I spat. “Come on Mandy. We need to go”. Hoggle continued to grumble as he lead us out of the garbage dump.“He’s right you know”, Mandy muttered. Her eyes were filled with sorrow. We approached a path that lead to a heavily wooded area. Tall trees lined the edge of the garbage dump. The only way through was the path. “If you are this old that means I have been missing for two decades. Everyone I knew and cared about has gone on without me. What do I have to go back to?”.“We can find a place for you. I’m sure your parents will be beyond happy to see you again”, I placed my hand on her shoulder as we walked deeper into the woods. “Besides things have changed since you have been gone. You remember those old local folk stories”. She nodded. “They are all real. At least to some degree”.“The dragon in the mountains?” She asked and I nodded. “The lost elvish kingdoms”. I nodded again. “How do you know this?” I paused in place and stretched out my arms guesting to the world around us.“And I met the vain king. I have been to Mirkwood and the woodland realm”, I smiled. “I have so much to tell you but for now let’s just get out of here”. I smiled. My cockiness was quickly outlived. As I took and other step ground opened up beneath us. We cried out in unison as we began to descend into darkness. The pit narrowed as I once again was forced to ensure the worlds worst slide. Branches caught at my cloths causing the already damaged fabric to tear open. When a light appeared in front of me I fought my horrible ordeal was over. Instead I dropped down into an underground river. My body hitting the water hard.“Hoggle! Mandy!” I cried out, trying desperately to keep my head above water. I could no longer hear or see them. “No no no!” I cried out. More people were in danger and it was all my fault. So many times people have tried to help me they end up dead or hurt. Mandy, Ada, Nettie, Hoggle and what’s it were just the latest in a long list of people I have let down.I was suddenly thrown from the underground river, out into the open. The sun was high in the sky. When just minutes a go it was the middle of the night. The rapids eventually began to slow down. And soon I was able to swim towards the edge of the river. I grabbed hold of a vine and used it to pull myself towards the riverbank. I coughed up a heap of water as I collapsed in the dirt and mud. I felt both clean and dirty. Clean of the garbage dump, but dirty from the river.I pulled myself up out of the dirt. In front of my was a sand stone courtyard surrounded by an eight foot hedge. There were three gaps in the hedge with paths leading to different parts of the labyrinth. In the centre of the courtyard was a stone table. The wooden chairs around it lay discarded and damaged. I turned back to the river. On the other side was another identical courtyard. When I turned back around Jareth was seated, cross legged on the table.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Hoggle’s POV I should have known Jareth would spring some sorta trap up me sooner or later. Oh why did I have to help the stupid human girl. I should have learnt me lesson after Sarah. Don’t get involved with Jareth and his human toys. But no. I had to go an help the pitiful human I found hiding in the dark. Now here I was falling through a dark tunnel.I could see nuthin in front of my eyes but by the stench I knew exactly where we were headed. The bog of eternal stench. The faster we went the stronger the stench became. I tried to grab at the sides of the tunnel but I was moving too fast. The tips of my fingers felt like they were on fire from the friction. As I came to the opening to the tunnel I knew exactly what to do from last time. I grabbed a root growing from the side of the wall, stopping me from plunging into the bog.I could hear another screaming as she also neared the exit. As the little red head fell through the hole I managed to grab her by the arm. She kept on screaming, desperately trying to grab onto part of the wall with her other hand.“Oh my god!” The red head,I think her name was Mandy, cried out. “What’s that horrible smell?” She covered her mouth with her free hand.“That would be the bog of eternal stench”, I explained. “You see that ledge over there”, I pointed with my nose. She looked in that direction and saw the ruined remains of a broken ledge. “I’m going to swing you over to it. Don’t land in the water or you will stink forever!”“Wait! What?!” Before she could protest further I swung her towards it, releasing her from my grip. She screamed as she fell towards the ledge. She landed right on the edge, wobbling in an attempt to regain her balance. The girl managed to grab a vine and held onto it for deer life. I held onto the vine and watched her climb down towards the land surrounding the bog. I swung on the vine and kept through the air onto the same ledge.I looked towards the hole and waited. (Y/N) had not come out, note could I hear her screams.“Jareth you bastard”, I crumbled.“Hoggle!” I heard Mandy scream. I turned towards her and saw that she was being swarmed by a group of armoured goblins. Readers POV “You son of a bitch!” I ripped a rock up out of the water and threw it towards Jareth. He tilted his head ever so slightly to avoid it. Jareth sighed, climbed off the table and began to walk towards me. “Where are they?!” I screamed and charged at him. Not giving him the chance to reply. Before I could wrap my hands around his throat, he had pushed me back down into the water."Just look at you", he mocked. I tried to stand once more only for him to push me down to my knees "I must say you look rather ravishing like this. Drenched in water and kneeling before me. Maybe I should screw you in water next”.“Bite me”, I spat up at him. He just chuckled as he grabbed me by the front of my shirt and pulled me up to my feet.“Maybe later”, he growled into my ear. His hot breath felt nice against my skin.“Where are my friends!” I snapped, pushing him away from me.“Friends you say?” He walked back over to the table. “You say they are your friends yet you left Nettie, Ada and Schemer”, I assumed he was referring to the goblin who helped us. “Back in the city and didn’t even try to help them", he laughed, mocking me. "And don’t get me started on Hoggle and Mandy”.“You know perfectly well I didn’t have a choice. Your men had us surrounded”, I stormed up to him. “The door was slammed behind me. I wanted to go back”. Jareth smirked once more as he leant down, our faces nearly touching.“Keep telling yourself that”, the goblin king reached one hand behind me and roughly pushed my body hard up against his. I let out a startled yelp. His hard body felt hot against my trembling wet flesh. “You act like you are this selfless little saint”, he growled. “But I know what you really are”. Jareth spun us around, pushing me against the cold stone table.“And what is that?” I snarled feeling my body’s temperature begin to rise. My crotch began to ache. I hated the effect he had on me.“A temptress who desires nothing more then a stiff cock”, he ground his hardening bulg against me hips. “Your body craves to be dominated. And don’t lie. I have seen your dreams. I have seen how they allow you to relive your dirtiest memories. How you allowed other to control and use this body of yours”. Jareth roughly pressed his mouth against mine. His hands held my hips hard against his. I tried to push him away. His lips tasted oddly sweet. Sweeter then they had before. The taste was almost intoxicating. Before I realised what I was doing, I was no longer struggling but had wrapped my arms around him. One arm around his waist while the other wrapped around his neck and shoulders, my fingers tangling in his hair as I pulled him in closer.Jareth moved one hand up from my hip and slide it under my shirt. I gasped as his hand wrapped around my breast. Jareth took advantage of my gasp to slide his tongue into my mouth. The deeper I was pulled in the more I wanted to lay in his arms. Part of me wondered if he had laced his lips with some sort of magical drug. The other part couldn't care less. I just wanted to hold him close. To feel his warmth inside of me.Jareths hand moved from my hip to my pants waistband. His fingers slipped down the front and into my underwear, finding their way towards my opening. I shivered as his gloved fingers explored me. In one swift movement my pants were down around my ankles. Jareth broke the kiss and flipped me over to lay on my stomach, his lips quickly finding their way to my throat. I could feel his large, rock hard member pressing against my rear as it begged to be freed from its cloth prison. I pushed back hard against his bulge, basically begging for it. I could feel the goblin king smirk against my throat. He pulled away from my throat. Next I heard the shuffle of clothing as he slid his pants down just low enough to release his rock hard member.I spread my legs as far as my trapped ankles would allow. He wasted no time thrusting his hard rod deep into me. As I cried out, Jareth draped his body across me, his arms wrapping around my chest, holding me close. The goblin king nussled my neck, burying his face in my (H/C) hair. His hands grasped my breasts as he plowed into me from behind. His thrusts were hard and deep. I wanted to roll over to face him but his grip stopped me from being able to move. The edge of the stone table was pressed into my thighs with every hard thrust of Jareths hips. My head was spinning. My body consumed by lust. I hated myself for allowing myself to lose control like this."Pleasseeee!" I cried out, desperately wanting to touch him."Sssshhhhhh pet", he whispered into my ear before nibbling on the lobe. Goosebumps scattered across my body, Jareths thrusts becoming harder and faster. Jareth released me, placing his hands on either side of my head as he held himself above me. I managed to free one of my legs from my pants and spread my legs apart wider, allowing the goblin King to go deeper. I burriedy face in my hands, trying to hold back my moans. Jareth groaned loudly. Next thing I knew he had grabbed my hair in his fist, forcing me to look ahead. With a wave of a hand he had manifested a new crystal. As his pounding became rougher images began to form in the glass.Jareth howled, flipping me over onto my back. He waisted no time impaling me with his rod before grabbed my face, forcing me to look up into his mismatched eyes. He smirked as he held the crystal Infront of my face. As my pleasure continued to grow images began to form in the glass. I watched in horror as each of my new friends wrists were bound and hung from a large with rope. They were forced to dangle over what looked to be a swamp surrounded by ruins."Wh aaahhh at h have you done...." I tried to say between moans. My legs instinctively wrapped themselves around Jareths hips, thrusting my slit up along his rod."I thought I would give you a choice", he explained, waving his hand and the crystal faded away. He grabbed my breast with one hand and pointed to one of the paths that lead out from the courtyard. "That path will lead you straight to the exit of the labyrinth", he explained, pinching my nipple. I couldn't help but moan and gasp. "While that one", he pointed to another path, ignoring the one in the middle. "Will lead you to where your friends are". He grabbed both my legs and pushed them up against my chest. "You will need to decide on if you want to save yourself", he groaned out, his thrusts becoming more erratic. "Or save your friends before they take a horrible fall. Aaahhhh". I could tell he was close to cumming. I knew I was."I h have plenty of time to save them and get to the exit", I cried out."Oh you do do you?" He smirked down at me. With a wave of his hand the clock appeared beside him. It looked like it was floating in mid air. The clocks hands began to spin. Time was being spreed up."You bastard", I screamed. The clock had left me with only thirty minutes. I swung my first up towards Jareths face only for him to grab my first in his hand. He smirked at me as he kissed my knuckles.I began to struggle in his grip. With only twenty nine minutes remaining I didn't have the time to finish. But struggling against Jareth was like struggling against a stone statue. He grasped my throat and held me down. His other hand reached between my legs and began to stroke my clit with his thumb.I ground my hips up to meet his with every thrust. He grip his teeth and closed his eyes. Jareths grip on my throat tightening as we neared our peaks. I swear my screams of ecstasy could be heard throughout the kingdom as I came. Jareth roared as he spilt his seed deep within me.I lay there panting for longer then I would have liked. Jareth smirked down at me as he pulled his rod out of me and stepped back, tucking himself back into his pants. I forced myself to stand, quickly fixing my own pants. I gave no second thought as I charged towards the path that would lead me to my friends.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
With only twenty five minutes left on the clock I ran as fast as my legs could take me. I focused souly on the path ahead, ignoring all possible distractions. From the corner of my eye I saw something red flash in and out of view. I ignored the sound of hysterical laughter.Suddenly something round struck my back, throwing me down onto the path. I screamed as I was unable to protect my face in time. Both my wrists and face smacked into the stone path bellow me. My skin felt raw.I winced as I pulled myself up off the ground. My palms and wrists were pink, blood oozing out of cuts caused by small jagged rocks. I remembered the potion in my pocket but know I didn’t have time to use it at that moment. The further I ran the longer the path began to feel. I wondered if Jareth had sent me down the wrong path. As I continued to run down the path something horrible filled my nostrils, causing me to stop in place. It smelt like death. I prayed my friends were okay. I could hear a woman calling for help, followed by a man yelling at her to shut up. I knew I was close. As I got closer I came to a collapsed stone bridge. Hanging not far off it Nettie, Ada, Mandy, Hoggle and Schemer, were all hanging from their wrists. The human womens feet were barely a foot off the water. The rope they were all strung up along was tied to a tree near one end of the bridge while the other end was wrapped around a tree branch but tied to a balder. A small candle was slowly burning the rope. The rope was beginning to fray.I snatched up a hooked branch and ran to the edge of the bridge.“(Y/N)!” Mandy screamed as she saw me. As I looked between them and the water I noticed a bunch of flat rocks poking up from the water.“It’s fine. They are sturdy”, Hoggle explained. “Wheres Ludo and Ditamous when you need them” He groaned out. I carefully stepped down onto the rocks. I jumped across each stone until I made it to the other side to blow out the candle. As soon as the flame was extinguished I turned my attention back to the others.I reached the stick up towards Ada as she was the one closest to the edge. I began poking at the ropes around her wrists, loosening the knot.“Don’t let me fall!” She screamed.“If you can’t swim it’s okay I will pull you out”, I reassured her.“No!” They all screamed in unison.“That is the bog of eternal stench!” Ada screamed.“If you fall in you will smell like it for eternity”, Hoggle explained. “We can untie the knots ourselves just grab us”. I nodded and used the branch to wrap around Ada’s waist.“They did that on purpose hoping we would be dump enough to release ourselves”, Ada explained as I pulled her close to me. Her toes balancing on the edge of the stone I was standing on. As she freed her wrists we both nearly toppled into the water. Lucky we managed to throw ourselves backwards away from the water.“One down four more to go”. We turned towards the voice and there sitting up on a tree branch was Jareth.“Ignore him”, I muttered to Ada. I reached out with the stick towards Mandy. As she reached her feet towards the stepping stones Jareth let out a dramatic sigh.“This won’t do”, he sighed as he turned his attention to the candle. With a wave of his hands he lit the flame. The flames burned brighter then any candle ever should. The rope began to creak as the fire burned through it.“Go I got her!” Ada yelled as she pulled a now freed Mandy onto the stones. I ran back towards the candle. As I kicked the candle away the rope snapped. I shrieked in agony as my already bloodied hands grasped the rough rope. I managed to stop the others from plummeting into the bog. My hands burned as one by one my friends pulled each other to safety. I held on as hard as I could praying I was strong enough to hold everyone. All that was left to save was Hoggle.Jareth laughed as the ground began to rumble. Swarms of goblin guards flooded the area. Mandy and Nettie each grabbed their own branches and began to smack the goblins who tried to stop them from rescuing Hoggle. Multiple guards were thrown into the bog, doomed to smell horrid for the rest of their lives."Hurry up!" I screamed, kicking my legs at the guards surrounding me. They didn't swarm like they did at the others. They just huddled around me, poking at my ribs and arms, trying to get me to release the rope. My arms began to ache. Even tho the weight was lifted my hands could no longer handle Hoggles weight. The others had Hoggle by the feet but due to his height and distance from the stones, they risked dropping him into the water head first. Honestly made me wonder how we got Schemer down when he was at least foot shorter then Hoggle. He freed his own wrists but held onto the ropes to stop himself from falling. Their only hope was to swing him by his ankle to fling him around. With one painful jab to my ribs and a smack to my already injured palms, my grip loosened and the rope flew from my hands."Hoggle!" I shrieked. Ada was able to swing him around, throwing him down hard onto the stones, nearly knocking Schemer into the bog.I grabbed a soldiers spear and ripped it out of his hands. I then used it to try and fight off the others. No matter how many we tried to fight off more and more soldiers just kept on coming. I didn’t see it but the others managed to get off the stepping stones. They tried to fight as hard as they could but one by one they were each captured and dragged off along the path I had come from.“Jareth you bastard!” I shrieked. Someone kicked the back of my legs, throwing me off balance. I screamed as my knees collided with the rocky ground, ripping my pants and cutting my knees. Multiple pairs of small hands grabbed me by my legs, pinning them down. My arms were grabbed and stretched out, holding me still. The swarm in front of me parted as Jareth approached. He waved off his troops. I glared up at him as he grabbed me by my chin and forced me to look up at him. He turned my face from side to side, inspecting the damage to my cheek. My cheek was scratched up and bloody from my fall. He sneered down at me, his hand moving from my chin to my hair. Jareth roughly grabbed my hair and pulled me up to my feet. I winced and struggled in his grasp. He pulled me in closer before he slid his hand into my pocket, pulling out the vial Hoggle had given me. With a flick of his thumb he popped out the cork. He yanked my head back and poured the ooze onto my cheek. He held the bottle to him palm with his pinky and ring ringer while he used his pointer and index to rub the ooze into my cheek. He let go of my hair and grabbed one of my hands and poured the rest of the liquid into it before releasing me. I rubbed the ooze into both my palms and wiped what was left onto my knees through the holes of my pants. Before I could even react Jareth scooped me up into his arms. When he spun us around we were no longer at the bog of eternal stench but once more in the room that Jareth had made for me.“Son of a bi-!” Jareth slapped me across the cheek before I could finish my sentence. Even tho my cheek was healed it was still tender.“Don’t you dare talk about my mother like that”, he growled down at me. As I clutched my injured cheek Jareth once again conjured up that stupid clock.“You have two minutes left and here you are. Right back where you started”, he snarled.“Did you really bring me back here just to gloat?” I snapped back.“On the contrary. I have a brand new proposition for you”. Legolas POV “You need to hurry the spell up”, I snapped at my father as prepared the room for the “ritual”. With the aid of the crystal we had been able to keep track of all Jareths and (Y/N)s……. Actions. I watched Jareth drink a potion before he placed his lips against (Y/N)s, bewitching her. Seducing her. I wanted to bash my fists into that perverted monsters smug face.“Patients Legolas”, my father said as he placed a full sized, antique mirror up against the wall. The mirror stood seven feet tall with with a Victorian leaf pattern at the top of its arch. The silver frame had not been polished in a very long time.“Why did we have to waste time having people run around dale for this particular style of mirror? I have a full sized mirror in my bedchamber!” My patience was wearing thin.“The mirror needed to have a silver backing for the magic to take hold. Humans have stopped using silver to line the backings of their mirrors for a very long time now”, he just calmly explained.“Have you ever done a spell like this before?”“Yes. Kind of”, he moved away from the mirror and began to light the candles mounted to the wall. “This spell is a lot more…….complicated”“Complicated?!” I yelled.“Before I didn’t have to deal with a pocket dimension”, he sighed and turned towards me, holding the crystal out towards me. “I won’t need the crystal for a while-“ I snatched the orb from his hand.“A while! She is running out of time!” I yelled.“With this mirror she has all the time in the world”, he explained. His eyes diverted from my face to the crystal. “Somethings happening”. He waved his hand over the crystal , enchanting it so we could hear what was happening.“On the contrary. I have a new proposition for you”, Jareth said to (Y/N).“What”, she snapped. Her cheek was red like she had been slapped.“Time has run out for you”, he explained. “There is no way for you. Or your friends for that matter, to ever get home”. He stood over her. His stance seemed preditory in nature. “You are trapped here in my labyrinth for all of eternity. Soon you and your mortal friends will be turned into dolls, left to wait in darkness until I need you again. Except for Nettie that is. She broke free from the spell once. Whose to say it won’t happen again”. He smirked at (Y/N) before he made his way over to the bed. He pulled open the curtains and took a seat on the edge of the mattress. “She will have to be executed along side those traitors Hoggle and Schemer”.“Y You can’t do that to them”, (Y/N) stuttered out.“The crime is treason the punishment is death”, he said smuggly.“All they did was help me. It’s my fault Mandy is here. Please let them go”, Miss Oakenshield desperately tried to reason with her.“I suppose there is one thing you can do that may convince me to grant them their freedoms”.“What is it. Please I will do anything”. Jareth darkly smirked, happy with (Y/N)s words. He got up from the bed and walked up to her. He took the human woman’s hands in his and knelt down on one knee.“Marry me”.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
“If I say yes you promise to let the others go?” I asked looking down on him.“Of course. I am a man of my word”, he said giving me his trademark smirk.“You really mean it? And you will let Ada, Nettie and Mandy go back to the human world?” I asked. His smile began to fade. He sighed and stood before me.“You don’t really have much to bargain with”, he rolled his eyes at me. “But yes. They can go home and live their lives”. He was right I had nothing to bargain with. He held all the cards. I couldn’t be selfish.“And Hoggle and Schemer? What will happen to them?”“They will be banished from the goblin city so that I don’t have to see their miserable traitor faces”, he snapped, sounding more and more annoyed with me.“I will do it”, I said. “I will marry you”. He laughed, he placed his hands under my armpits and lifted me up like I was weightless. He spun me around with excitement.“Excellent!” The goblin king cheered. He held me at face level and placed a hard kiss upon my lips. He walked us backwards until he sat back down on the bed, forcing me to straddle him once more. I could feel his member harden under me. He wrapped his arms around my waist holding me tightly against him. His lips soon met my throat. “I knew I could break you”.I clenched my fists hard. I knew attacking him was a bad idea. One hand held my hip, the other grasped my breast. His lips continued to devour my throat. I could feel my body begin to respond but I didn’t want to give him the satisfaction.“M maybe we should wait”, I tried to pull myself off his lap. But his grip only tightened.“Why?” He said between nibbles.“I’m sore”, I blurred out. He sighed and pulled away to glare at me. “A and wouldn’t it be better if we waited”.“Waited?” He asked, annoyed.“Until after we are married”. When I felt his grip loosen I quickly slid off his lap. “That way I will be fully recovered from my little trip in the labyrinth and it will be more special”. I frantically backed away from him before he could get the chance to grab me again.“Fine”, he snapped. He got up from the bed and marched to the other side of the room. With a wave of his hand another door appeared in the wall. “Clean yourself up and get ready”, he opened the door revealing a spacious bathroom. Jareth waved me over. As I approached he shoved me inside. The bath was already filled with warm water, my makeup from home was laid out across the bathroom vanity.Jareth stood by the door watching me. I turned from him and began to to remove my cloths. Once I was fully naked I quickly climbed into the water, praying he would leave soon. I took a wash cloth off the side of the tub and began to scrub my skin. The water washed away the stress of the Labyrinth and eased my aching muscles. As I laid back in the water I had already forgotten about the unwanted presence. As my eyes rested Jareth placed his hands on my shoulders and pushed me under the water. I struggled against his grip before he allowed me back up.“Wash your hair”, he spat before marching out of the room, slamming the door behind him. I looked around and found that he had placed a couple of bottles of shampoo and conditioner on the edge of the tub. I didn’t want him coming back in so I quickly washed my hair. From the bath I could see a white fluffy towel hanging off another hand shaped hook. Man it was creepy. I pulled the plug from the bath and quickly lifted myself out. I realised I must have really pissed him off when I rejected him. Could you blame me. You get the guy going and it was nearly impossible to get him to stop. And the last thing I needed was to feel trapped even more then I already was.It was official. I was a prisoner and there was no escape. I even began to doubt that anyone from home was coming for me. My only option was to marry Jareth or become a doll, trapped inside my own body. If it was just me I had to worry about I would chose to become a doll just to spite him. But I had to think of the others.I quickly dried myself off then wrapped the towel around my body. I looked around and my soiled cloths were once again gone. I hoped he would at least provide me with proper clothing. There was nothing in the bathroom so I hoped that he had left something for me in the bedroom.I pushed open the door to find the room empty. Jareth was no where to be seen. Hanging from the back of the door was a long white, antique looking wedding dress. The skirt flared out wide and the sleeves were puffy. Pinned to the front was a piece of paper. I took the paper and read the note.‘Dress quickly and make yourself presentable’Short and direct. I turned from the dress and returned to the bathroom. Mixed in with my stolen makeup was also the supples I needed to style my hair, including my hair dryer. In a bowl was a variety of glistening gemstone hair pins. These were not mine. Probably a gift from Jareth. I took my makeup and applied a light, natural looking amount. Once I was satisfied I used the items he stole from my bathroom to pin my (H/L)(H/C) hair back and styled it with the gemstone hair clips.I looked at myself in the mirror. You could barely tell that I had been to hell and back. I looked beautiful. The gemstones reflecting in the mirror somehow helped to make my (E/C) eyes sparkle.“This is as good as it’s going to get”, I said to myself before I returned to “my bedroom”.I would have preferred if Jareth had given me a day or two to adjust before dragging me down the aisle. Hell, with how time moves here I have probably been here for a few days if not years. Did anyone even try to save me?I pulled the dress off the hanger to inspect it in further detail. The dress had numerous crystal beads sewed into the bodice. The skirt had tiny diamonds sewn across the fabric, appearing like glitter.I gave a sigh of relief when I found a fresh set of underwear hanging behind the dress. I swear he must have ransacked home.I quickly dressed as far as I could. I struggled a little with the dresses corsetting on the back. I eventually got the hang of it. I made my way back to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. My body shook as I tried desperately not to cry. This was not how I imagined my wedding day. I pictured a bouquet of (F/Flower)s, trays of (F/canapés) and to walk down the aisle to the person I loved. Not some tyrant with mummy issues.I dried up the couple of tears that managed to escape my eyes, took a deep breath and put on a fake smile. When I stepped out into the room I found a pair of white, gem embroidered slip on (preferred style dress shoe). I slipped them off and found them oddly comfortable. With another sigh I sat on the edge of the bed and waited. The only clock was the stupid thirteen hour one Jareth used to torment me. I stared towards it with a glare. The hands were frozen at two minutes until failure. A reminder of my failure to beat him.I don’t know how long I waited before Jareth returned. I couldn’t help but stare at him as he entered the room. Jareth wore a glittery, black suit similar to what he wore when we danced with the dolls. As he approached the fabric changed colour with his movements. The purples, blues and reds that flashed across the fabric reminded me of the night sky in the country side, far away from the lights of the city.“You look beautiful”, he said with a smile. He walked over to the bed and gently grabbed me by my hands. He pulled one to his lips and gave it a gentle kiss. “There is just something missing”. He grabbed me by the hand and lead me to the bathroom mirror. He placed his hands on my shoulders and made me look at my own reflection. “Now what could it be?” The goblin king smiled as he slipped his gloved hand into his pocket and pulled a silver necklace. In the centre of the pendant was a marble sized crystal ball. “There. Now you are perfect”. My stomach felt nauseous. The necklace felt more like a collar for a pet. That’s how I felt. Jareth placed his lips against my cheek before he lead me from the room.As we exited the bedroom I dreaded returning to it. I knew what I was in store for later tonight. Don’t get me wrong, the sex was incredible. These immortal men have ruined me for regular humans. Memories from being a prisoner in Mirkwood flashed through my mind. The cell. The bedroom I was confined to. The brainwashing. Never knowing if I would ever see my home or family ever again. The way his mood could change from calm to angry just for asking to go home. I didn’t want a repeat of that. At least, at the time, with Thranduil you knew what to expect. He wasn’t a liar and a trickster. The hallway was back to the way it was the first time I was lead through it, except this time the walls were decorated with white ribbons and a oddly shaped peach coloured flowers. Not sure if they were native to this world or if I had just never seen them before. They looked sort of between a rose and a lillie. We stopped at the large wooden door and a goblin woman handed me a bouquet of golden roses with silver stems and leaves.
I took a deep breath as Jareth pushed open the door to his throne room.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Jareth pushed open the door to the throne room. Inside had been cleared of the chairs and tables. In front of the throne stood a well dressed goblin holding a large book that looked giant in his hands. He looked kind of like he was wearing a faded halloween pope costume. Big hat and all.On each side of the room were rows of benches, filled with goblins of all shapes and sizes. Jareth took my arm in his and pulled me into the room. The aisle was already covered in what looked to be white and gold rose petals. He snapped his fingers at a trio of goblins standing in the corner. Each holding beaten up violins. The three quickly stood to attention and began to play.I froze for a second, my feet not wanting to move. I didn’t want this. Jareth sighed under his breath and began to basically drag me further into the room. I looked down at tel he petals as I walked with Jareth down the aisle, trying desperately to hold back the tears threatening to spill.“Smile”, Jareth hissed into my ear. The goblin king squeezed my arm in an almost threatening manor. I turned my face towards him and gave him a fake smile. He smiled back before turning his attention back to the front of the room. I decided to focus my attention to looking at the faces of all my “new subjects”.When we got to the front row I saw my friends. The girls were all forced into old style formal dresses from like the eighteenth century while Hoggle and Schemer were in clean, newer versions of their previous outfits. Guards stood on both sides of their row armed with sharp looking Spanish spears. Each of my friends wrists were shackled together.“Why are they here?” I asking, stopping in my tracks. “You said you would let them go”. I tried to pull out of his grip only for it to tighten.“I do intend to let them go”, Jareth held a stiff grin as he pulled me to stand beside him in front of the “priest”. “After the ceremony. They are here to serve as a reminder as to why you cannot back out".“Ladies and goblins”, the priest began. “We have gathered here today to witness the Marriage of our exalted ruler. King Jareth!” The room erupted in applause. The goblins cheered, shouted and through things up into the air.“Quiet!” Jareth yelled, silencing the crowd.“And Lady (Y/N) Oakenshield of the kingdom of Erobor”, of course he had to bring up my family linage. “Face each other”, the priest commanded. Jareth and I turned to face each other. “And now our king has something he would like to say to his new bride. My king”. The priest nodded towards Jareth.“Dearest (Y/N). I knew there was something special about you from the moment I first saw you in Mirkwood. I saw something in you that is so rare in humans”. He took my left hand, forcing me to hold my bouquet with the right. “There is a spark of magic deep within you that I plan to possess. To use. To bend to my will”. His voice darkened. “I have bent the laws of nature. Spend up and froze time. And I did it all for you. Love me. Fear me. Do as I say and I will be your slave”. I already feared him for what he has showed what he was capable of. Slave. I wanted to scoff at him. Instead I continued to smile at him.“Your majesty. Do you take (Y/First and middle names) Oakenshield to be your queen for now and all eternity?”, the priest asked Jareth."I do", the king said with a smirk. Jareth waved his hand and materialised pair of matching sleek, gold wedding bands. He held my left hand hard and slid the smaller one onto my ring ringer before placing the larger one into my palm. My blood turned cold. If it didn't feel real before, it did now."Lady Oakenshield", the priest said snapping me out of my daze. I looked up from the ring and back up to Jareth. I stared deep into his mismatched eyes, my body trembling in fear. "Do you take our amazing king as your husband and king for now and all eternity?"The ring in my palm seemed to burn my skin. My throat seazed up, leaving me unable to speak."My lady?""I I .....umm", I stuttered out. I couldn't bring myself to answer."(Y/N)?" Jareth said sternly."I d-". Before I could finish the room began to shake. I was thrown off balance into Jareths arms. His ring flew out of my hand. Bursting through the floor, throwing the priest across the room, a tall silver mirror erupted from beneath the throne. Chunks of throne were thrown across the room. One striking one of the taller goblins."(Y/N)!" I heard Legolas call out to me. Jareth wrapped his arms tightly around me, pressing me hard against his chest. The glass began to splinter as Legolas reached out towards me. I turned back towards Jareth and started smacking him over and over again across the face with my bouque. I turned towards my friends and saw that the guards were destracted. Legolas's hand retreated back into the mirror."Guys go!" I called out to them. Ada and Nettie looked at eachother, held held each other by the hand and ran towards the mirror. A goblin grabbed Mandy by the hair trying to keep her in place. As Nettie and Ada disappeared into the mirror Hoggle dived over the bench and attacked the goblin grabbing Mandy.I tried to pull myself out of Jareths grip. He was furious. He held my arms tightly as I kicked his shins as hard as I could. Schemer looked between Mandy and me before he to ran towards the window and jumped out. I shouldn't have expected him to go with the others. He probably has a life here.Jareth grabbed me tightly by my shoulders. I lifted my knee and struck him in the crotch. Jareth let out a loud grunt before collapsing backwards. I kicked off my shoes and ran towards Hoggle and Mandy. I helped to free Mandy from the Goblins grasp and the first thing she did was run through the mirror.I turned to run to the mirror but I knew I couldn't leave Hoggle. Not with the death sentence hanging over his head. I grabbed him by the arm and pulled him off the goblin he was beating up."Hey! Let me go!" He shouted as I pulled him towards the mirror."You aren't safe here!" I explained trying to pull him towards the mirror. "You will be safe in Mirkwood I promise"."I'm never safe here! I will be fine”."Jareth plans to kill you if I don't marry him!" Hoggle froze in place. He looked beyond terrified. Just then I heard the sound of glass striking glass. I turned and saw Jareth standing beside the mirror. In his hand was one of his crystals that he used the crack the mirror. The cracks began to grow. I looked towards Hoggle and knew I only had one shot at this.I grabbed Hoggle by the front of his shirt, lifted him and charged towards the mirror. I tried to push Jareth away only for him to wrap his arms around my waist, stopping me in my tracks. As the mirror continued to crack I flung the dwarf in my arms, throwing him through the mirror. The hope of freedom began to fade as the mirror shattered and the portal was gone. But I smiled, knowing that most of my new friends were safe. I just hoped Schemer would make it out of the city alive."I guess the weddings off then", I laughed. Jareth moved his hands to my shoulders, forcing me to look at him. "Your leverage is gone"."You know what will happen to you now!" He snarled down at me."I would rather be a doll then your wife", I spat in his face. "you have no power over me".
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Readers POV “I would rather be a doll then your wife", I spat in his face. "You have no power over me".Jareth looked into my eyes for a few seconds before letting me go, taking a step back. His scowl faded as he burst into laughter. The goblins surrounding us, scattered and recovering from the scuffle and explosion, looked at their king with confusion.“Well?” Jareth paused his own laughter to encourage them to laugh with him. The room soon erupted into laughter.“What’s so funny?” I asked, confused. Jareths grin only grew. He bend down to retrieve his wedding band.“You were mine the second I placed the ring on your finger”, he mocked as he slipped the ring onto his gloved finger. Legolas pov As the strange little man was thrown through the portal the mirror shattered across the room. I shielded my face as glass came flying towards me.“No no no no no!” My father yelled as he pulled the crystal off its stand in the centre of the room. The ball crumbled to dust in his grasp.“We need to reopen the portal!” I yelled at Thranduil, ignoring the cuts in my hands and arms. The mirror was nothing more then a mangled silver frame, half leaning against the wall.“How!” He yelled back at me. “Even if the doorway wasn’t completely destroyed we no longer have a key to that realm!”“So what do we do?” I snapped as I helped the young red haired girl up to her feet, carefully brushing the small glass shards off her dress. Tauriel and the medic lead the others off to the side away from the broken glass.“The mirror is somewhat easier to replace”. There are other antique shops in the city as well as a couple of historical buildings we could rob if needed. “But the crystal will be next to impossible!” He growled throwing the pedistal to the floor nearly hitting Hoggle. “Sorry”, my father muttered as he stormed over to the wall and started slamming his fist into the stone over and over again.“Jareth comes to our world all the time”, Tauriel explained as she inspected the chains around one of the older girls wrists. We will have to get a blacksmith to cut them off. “If we search the internet I’m sure I can narrow down one’s location”.“We don’t have time!” My father snarled. “Who knows what could be happening to her”. In the past he claimed he no longer had any feelings for (Y/N) but I have known my father long enough to know when he is lying. It did hurt to know he had feelings for the same woman as I. Both wanting what we couldn’t have. Both angry that she was stolen right from under us.As I watched the medic checked over everyone i started to hear someone running towards the room. The door handle began to shake as the person on the other side tried desperately to open it. I walked over and unlocked the door knowing exactly who was on the other side.“Where is she!” The human woman screamed as she burst into the room. “Where’s my daughter”. Mrs Oakenshield pushed past me into the room. I couldn’t blame her for being scared. It’s hard enough when a child goes missing once, but three times, you would be crazy not to go insane. “Where is she?” I placed my hands on her shoulders and forced her to face me.“We were unsuccessful this. But I promise you-“. She quickly cut me off.“What do you mean you were unsuccessful?!” The human woman smacked my hands away from her.“Mrs Oakenshield?” A soft voice spoke up. (M/N) turned around to face the young girl. Tears began to form in her eyes.“Mandy?” She carefully approached the child. She placed her hands on the young girls face and began to cry. “How is this possible”. My father walked over to my side.“What’s going on?“ he asked, whispering into my ear.“The young red haired girl is (Y/N)s old babysitter”, I explained. “(Y/N) wished her away when she was a little girl”.“Miss Oakshield!” Thranduil called out to (M/N). The older woman turned her attention back towards me. “Do you or anyone else in your family own a small crystal ball”. She just shook her head.“What are you doing?” I asked my father, pulling him aside.“Like you said Jareth kidnapped the child at the request of the young Miss Oakenshield. Chances are he left one of his crystals in their home”, he explained. I stood their thinking hard.“We need to get to (Y/N)s house”. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “I don’t understand why I had to dress like this”, my father grumbled from the backseat, guesting to his outfit. Navy blue slacks and a grey hoodie. I had forced him to keep the hood up to keep the points of his ears hidden beneath. He flinched as I speed my Range Rover through the intersection to beat the yellow light.“Slow down”, he grumbled.“Stop complaint. You’re the one who insisted on coming with us”, Tauriel snapped from the front passenger seat.“We need to blend in”, I explained. “If we have to stop for ANY reason wecan’t risk being spotted”. I slammed on the break as we approached a red light.“Try to get us there alive at least!” He yelled clutching his seatbelt to his heart. It took everything in me not to let out a laugh at his expense. As soon as the light turned green I floored it.By the time we got to (Y/N)s house my fathers face was absolutely green. I pulled into her driveway and basically ran to her side door, completely ignoring the front. I grabbed a large rock and smashed a small hole in the window as close to the door handle as possible. I reached my hand inside, carefully as to not slice up my arm more then it currently was. It was easier to hide a breaking and entering along the side of her home.“Why didn’t you ask the Oakenshields for the key?” Tauriel asked as the three of us entered the empty house. I flicked the switch on the wall, lighting up the room. My father looked around in amazement. Even with all the work I have done to modernise Mirkwood my father was still easily confused by the most simple of devices.“No time”, I explained. “Spread out and look”. I left the kitchen and quickly made my way to the hallway. Both Tauriel and my father entered the living room. I could hear them both going through her belongings.“Looking for this?” When I entered (Y/N)s bedroom I found Jareth sitting up in the bed on top of the covers. The room looked like a tornado had hit it.“Give that to me”, I stormed over the him and tried to snatch the ball from his hand. He pulled his hand away from me and held it out to the opposite side of the bed. The bedroom door slammed shut like a wind had blown it closed.“And why do you need it?” He asked looking into the crystal before turning his glare to me. “You know you cannot win. She is mine now”, he growled at me. I could hear my father and Tauriel run down the hall towards the room.“You cannot own a person!” I snapped grabbing him by the front of his shirt, pulling him to his feet. With a snap of his fingers the crystal vanished. “No!” I swung my fist towards his face only for him to duck and spin out of my grip.“She was the one who chose to challenge me”, he mocked. I wanted the punch the smug look off his face.“You cheated!” I yelled. The door handle began to shake as the others tried to break into the room. “I saw you!”“You did?” He he began to pace around the room. “Of course there would have to be one magic user among you all”.“Let her go”, I snarled as I lifted my leg to pull my dagger from its sheith. I managed to grab his shoulder in a tight grip. I slammed him hard against the wall and pressed the blade against his throat.“Oh how diplomatic”, Jareth rolled his eyes at me. “Is this how you solve all your disegreements”. I refused to respond and only continued to glare.“It’s obvious you have feelings for the mortal. But she is just that. Mortal”. The goblin king looked down at my knife. In seconds it had transformed into a snake. I quickly turned and through it against the wall. As the snake collided with the wall it was once again a dagger. “Eventually she will grow old and die and you will never see her again”. I flinched as he placed his hand on my shoulder. “Wouldn’t it feel better knowing that in my kingdom she will never age. Never grow old. And never die”. His grip tightened as he forced me to turn around and face him.As I faced him I found that we were no longer inside (Y/N)s home but high up on a hill under an orange sky. I turned from him to look around. Far into the distance I could see the castle beyond goblin city.“Humans growing old is part of the natural order”, I turned back to face him. “You need to let her go”.“Maybe we come to an arrangement”. I did not like where this was going.“What do you have in mind?”“I know you will never stop trying to save her but you are also a man of your word. If you can solve the labyrinth within thirteen hours then I will annual my marriage to (Y/N) and allow you both to return home”.“So your usual game”, I sighed. “I ask one thing”.“And what is that”. He was starting to look bored.“You cannot alter time”. A spark of anger flashed across his face.“You have my word”, he growled in anger. "I look forward to seeing if you can survive. I don't plan to make this easy".“I have faced far greater challenges. I bet you have never been in a real battle. I have thought in many over the thousands of years I have been alive. There is nothing you can throw at me that I cannot handle”. I knew mocking him was a bad idea but I needed to throw him off his game.“You have never been against someone like me”. Jareth clenched his fists in anger but his face remained calm. “Remember. You have thirteen hours to solve the Labyrinth or the beautiful Miss Oakenshield will be mine forever”, he reminded as he faded away into nothingness.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Legolas POV I ran as fast as my legs would take me towards the walls of the labyrinth. I wasted no time scaling the first wall. I didn't have time to solve the labyrinth the traditional way so I relied on skill I never thought I would ever use again. I knew this would piss off Jareth but I didn't care. Wall after wall I climbed and jumped. The only way I kept track of how many I had scales were by the cuts that began to form on the palms of my hands. The hair on the back of my neck stood on end. I swear I could feel Jareths eyes on me no matter where I went. From the corner of my eyes I swear I could see his face in the stone or in the leaves of trees.I wince in pain as the next wall I climbed was covered in thorny vines. I lost my footing as I climbed over the edge. I fell, scraping against the stone wall. My cloths ripping on thorns, slashing my arm. The mud I landed in was deep but nowhere deep enough to properly cushion my fall. I groaned in pain as I pulled myself up out of the mud. My eyes stung as I attempted to wipe the mud from them. The area in front of me looked more like a forest then part of the labyrinth. I turned back to the wall and knew it was pointless going back the way I came. The only way out was through. I ran straight ahead through the woods trying to ignore that my cloths were being weighed down by the mud.I tried to remember if I had seen this area when we were watching over (Y/N) through the crystal. The closer I got the further away I felt.I pushed on and ran through the wooded area. After a few mintues of running I began to feel like i was running in circle."This must be how Thorin felt in Mirkwood", I muttered after the third tome I passed the same tree. I knew it was the same tree as it had my muddy handprint on the side of the trunk. I began punching the side of the truck, yelling out in anger. This had to be one of the goblin king's tricks again. I swear I could have heard him laughing at me in the distance. I pushed on and continued to on through the wooded area. The laughing just got louder and louder. Red flashed across my vision"Hello here!" A horrible long nosed creature with red fur and feathers jumped out in front of me. The laughing soon surrounded me. Readers POV After the wedding Jareth dragged me to what he called "our" room. If anyone had told me this is how I would end up married I never would have believed them. I always thought that if I married it would be for love.I looked at myself in the mirror. I barely recognised the woman in front of me. I wanted to rip the wedding dress off my body and throw it into the fire. Unfortunately Jareth had left me with nothing to change into. When I opened his wardrobe to steal some cloths all that was behind the door was a solid brick wall. I looked around the room and found there was no way to escape. Jareth was really went out of his way to make sure there was no way out of here.I looked out over the goblin city. The labyrinth seemed to go on for miles. I wondered if I really did have any chance in hell of making it out of the city before the thirteenth hour. I have been in toughter situations before but now I truly felt like there was no way out. I knew time worked differently here and wondered how long I had really been gone. It could have been a few hours or even a few days.My heart began to sink as my mind began to wonder. What if I had already been trapped here for years. How many of my loved ones have grown old and died while I have done nothing but sit in this bedroom alone."What is going through that pretty little head of yours". I sighed as I turned to see Jareth sitting on the edge of "our bed"."How long", I sighed. He looked at me with a puzzled expression."Whatever do you mean?" The goblin king asked as he got up from the bed."How long have I been here?" I asked as he stood before me. "How much time has passed in the human world?" He looked irritated for a second before giving me one of his signature smiles."It has only been a few days", he explained as he placed his hands on my shoulders. "You need to stop thinking about the human world"."I don't think that's possible", I stated as he pulled me away from the window. Jareth once again began to look irritated at me."What does the human world have to offer you", he stroked my hair. "As a child you dreamed of adventure. As an adult you dreamt of romance. I can give you both"."How can I ever love someone who kidnapped me", I sneered as I smacked his hands off me. He growled and grabbed the hair on the back of my head in a tight grip, forcing me to look up at him."You fell in love with Thranduil", he snarled. I winced at the memory. Yes it was true that I did love him but things change. People grow and move on."That was Stockholm syndrome", I struggled in his grasp. Whincing as I felt his grip tighten in my hair. "I will never stop trying to escape you"."I believe you", he sighed releasing me from my grip. "Legolas said the same thing about trying to save you. You people are so stubborn". I looked at him confused. "After his little stunt at our wedding we came to a agreement"."What sort of agreement?" A put began to form in my stomach."The usual solve the Labyrinth in thirteen hours yadda yadda yadda", he was starting to look bored."You're lying". Jareth smirked and with a wave a crystal ball appeared in his hand. The crystal glew and inside I could see Legolas. The entire front of his body was covered in mud and dirt. His right sleeve was torn and covered in blood. He was fighting a bunch of strange fuzzy, big nosed creatures. The strange creatures laughed as they dismembered their own bodies and twisted themselves in unnatural ways. They did not look like they meant Legolas any harm, more like they were trying to play with him. One looked like he was trying to rip Legolas’s arms off his torso. I cheered as Legolas through the teacher off him. He grabbed one of the creatures by their heads and through it as hard as he could.“He will come for me”, I smiled as I took the ball from Jareth. “He will beat you”. As I held the crystal in my hand the image of the elf king began to fade. "No no no no no.Bring him back!" Jareth just rolled his eyes at me. He took the crystal back from me. He stomped his foot on the ground and the stone floor began to opened. I could hear gears turning as a stone table came up from the ground. In the centre was a four pronged stand designed for Jareths crystals. The goblin king placed the crystal down onto the stand and waved his hand over it. Once again Legolas was visible. He looked a little worse for ware. He was running through the woods as the red creatures chased after him.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
"Throwing another persons head is against the rules!" The strange creatures yelled and chased after me. I refused to look back as they continued their pursuit. Limps flew through the air towards and around me."Come back!" The creatures yelled from behind me. I ran deeper into the forest. A disembodied hand latched onto my ankle causing me to fall. My body smacking hard into the ground below. I groaned in pain, kicking the hand off my ankle. Once more I pulled myself up from the ground and ran.A smile stretched across my face when a brick wall appeared through the trees. I picked up the pace and charged on forward. The wall was as easy to scale as all the ones before. The creatures still did not stop their pursuit."Come on""Let us rip off your head""Or an arm""Your ears. You don't need both ears"I kicked one in the face as I made it to the top of the wall, pulling myself over the other side."I hate this place", I groaned as I lay on the stone ground, panting heavily. My eyes shut to block out the sun. I stayed on the ground panting for a while before a shadow covered my face.“My my my don’t you look terrible”, I opened my eyes to see Jareth standing over me. He wore a white and puffy shirt under a grey vest and tights. His grey boots came up to his knees. He kind of looked like a gay pirate.“Fuck off”, I groaned as I pulled myself up off the ground. “What do you want”. I began walking towards the nearest wall.“You have been cheating", he stated as he slowly followed me behind me."How is it cheating when the game was rigged against me from the start?". I grabbed onto the side of the wall and began to climb. "I'm just leveling the playing field". I lost my grip as the bricks on the walls became as smooth as marble, making it impossible for me to get a hold. The vines turned to ash as I tried to grab onto them to stop myself from falling. I fell a few feet and landed ot the ground. I barely managed to stay standing."Enough of your tricks Jareth!". Jareth just smirked as he approached me."Maybe I need to make this harder for you", he laughed as the ground began to rumble."What have you done!" I yelled at the goblin king. A swarm of armoured goblins charged towards me. I began to run for the nearest exit out of the area. I didn't have time to stand my ground and fight. The goblins charged at me from all directions but I was able to dodge them quite easily. Their helmets must have been obstructing their visions.I didn't care which way I was headed I just needed to lose to swarm. I leapt over a retaining wall, causing a few of them to charge right into it.After a while I realised I could no longer hear the platoon of goblins. I stopped running to take in my surroundings. Tall stone walls surrounded me. All very smooth, void of anything I could grab onto to climb. I no longer knew which direction to go. Which way was the golbin city?"Fuck!" I yelled and began to punch the wall."Ello". I quickly turned around. No one was there. I looked around frantically for the course of the voice. "Down here!" The voice called down to me. I looked slightly downwards and from a small hole in the wall, just below my eyeline, sat a strange fussy blue and beige worm. "Ello". I stood their dumbfounded. I have seen dragons, ghosts and demons. I have fought spiders as big as cars. But I had never seen a talking worm before."Um hi", was all I could muster."It's been a while since a new face has come round", he said in his high pitch voice. "Why not pop inside for a cup of tea"."I would love to but I don't think I can fit into your home", I told him, trying hard not to sound rude."Oh sure you can. The doors bigger then it looks", he scooted along an invisible ledge and turned a corner. I followed him around and saw that the wall only looked flat from where I was standing. I turned the corner and found an old wooden door, tall enough for a full sized human, or elf, to enter through.“Thank you for your offer of hospitality but I really need to get to the castle”, I said as I turned to leave.“I know a shortcut that will get ya there in no time”, he called out to me. I turned back towards him.“This isn’t a trick is it”, I asked. You can never to to careful in a kingdom of monsters and magic.“Me home is perfectly safe. I will have me kids help to patch you up”. As the worm turned and crawled back inside his hole the door creaked open. I cautiously stepped inside. The room was slightly over a square meter in size but the ceiling went up as far as the eye could see. The walls were lined with shelves filled with worm sized furniture and old novels strategically placed to work as stairs and furniture. All over the shelves, brightly coloured worms turned in my direction.“Alright kids!”, the worm I met outside shouted. “You know what to do”. A small swarm of worms all leap from the shelves. They used twine tied around their wastes like bungee ropes as they flew around me. Some landed on my arms and legs, and began to rip away chunks of my cloths around where I was injured. A few on the shelves rolled bandages towards the edge and pushed them over the edge. The worms flying around me would grab at the cloth and fling it towards me. Before I knew what was happening they had cleaned and patched all my injuries, even the ones on the palms of my hands. When they were satisfied with their work the worms all leapt back onto the shelves.I looked down over their work. My cloths were ruined but my injuries were wrapped far more securely than any human doctor could. I heard a scrapings sound and looked up to see a pink worm pushing an antique china cup towards the edge of the shelf she was on. She gave me a sweet little smile and nodded towards the cup.“Thank you miss”, I said as I bowed my head and took the cup. I looked down at the clear brown liquid. The floral smell filled the air. I was hesitant to take a sip. The worms eyes all burned into me as I stood in the centre of the room holding the cup. I slowly lifted it to my mouth. I quickly inhaled the scent to try and sniff out any potential drugs. The worm woman was still giving me her sweet smile as I took my first sip.I swirled the hot liquid around my mouth but all I could taste was jasmine and rose petals. An interesting combination I must say. I released the breath I hadn’t realised I was holding.“Delicious”. I smiled back at the worm as I took another sip. “I am so great full to all of you and I wish I could pay you back somehow-““Your company is payment enough”, the pink worm chirped.“I really must be going-“ As I turned towards the door it was gone and in its place stood the clock with thirteen thirteen numbers. The minute hand began to spin abnormally fast, speeding up time. When it finally slowed an hour of my time had been stolen from me. My body began to tremble with rage.“Jareth you son of a bitc-“ the ground bellow me began to creak as the floorboards began to splinter and crack. I placed the teacup on the edge of the shelf as I tried desperately to move away from the cracks that were forming under me.There was no way out. The ground opened up bellow me.“oh dear. I thought I fixed that”. The blue worms words echoed as I plummeted down deep into the abyss Readers POV I struggled in Jareths grasp. His leather glove held my face in place as he wrapped his other arm tightly around my waist, pinning my back hard against his torso. He forced me to watch as Legolas plummeted into the deep dark abyss.“Every time you misbehave your dear Legolas will be punished”.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
"Come on" The feathered creatures continued to chase after Legolas. I anxiously sat at the stone table watching Legolas through the crystal. Jareth sat across from me looking irritated and bored. Every time I cheered Legolas on the goblin king would roll his eyes in annoyance."Let us rip off your head""Or an arm""Your ears. You don't need both ears"I laughed when Legolas kicked one of the creatures in the face as He made it to the top of the wall."I hate this place", He groaned after he rolled over the edge of wall and lay down on the stone ground he was panting heavily. A pair of very familiar legs stepped into view. I looked up from the crystal to where Jareth had been just mere seconds before to see that he was gone. I looked back towards the crystal again, wondering how he got down to Legolas so quickly.“My my my don’t you look terrible”, Jareth mocked Legolas. I was beginning to hate that laugh.“Fuck off”, Legolas groaned as he pulled himself up off the ground. “What do you want”. Jareths smirk faded as he followed.“You have been cheating", he stated as he watched the other king attempt to climb the wall in front of them."How is it cheating when the game was rigged against me from the start?". As Legolas began his climb I saw wheels begin to turn in Jareths head. "I'm just leveling the playing field". With a wave of Jareths hand the wall flattened out, making it impossible to climb. I cried out in shock as Legolas lost his grip And began to fall. The vines broke as as he desperately reached out to to grab onto something, anything to stop himself from falling. I let out a sigh of relief when he landed. The last thing he needed was anymore injuries. He was beaten, bruised and covered and gashes."Enough of your tricks Jareth!". Legolas shouted as a smirk began to grow across Jareths face."Maybe I need to make this harder for you", he laughed as the ground began to rumble. My chest began to feel tight. It seemed every time Jareth would laugh, something bad would happen."What have you done!" Goblins began to flood the area.“Jareth you bastard”, I yelled into the crystal. I swear the second I yelled the goblin king made eye contact with me. I screamed in anger. I turned and grabbed hold of the nearest piece of furniture, which happened to be a chest of draws, and angrily ripped it over, causing it to slam into the floor. I stomped around the room grabbing everything I could and tossing it across the room. I grabbed a chair from the stone table and through it at the window. To my surprise the glass shattered. That’s when I got an idea. I couldn’t let Legolas face the Labyrinth alone. I didn’t care what Jareth said. I needed to help my friend.I grinned and ran towards the bed. I ripped down the red curtains and tore up the sheets. I tied the sheets and curtains together. One end I tied to the bed and the other I threw out the window. I gave the sheet rope a few good tug’s to ensure it was secure before I began to climb out the window. The rope looked like it ended just a few meters off the ground. The fall may hurt but I knew I wouldn’t be injured enough to slow me down.I climbed down slowly. It would have been so much easier if I hadn’t been wearing a big puffy wedding dress. I tried to avoid looking down until I came to the end of my rope. I looked down and to my horror I was as far off the ground as I had been when I first started my climb out of the window. I looked up and the window was high above me. Somehow the castle felt like it had gotten taller and taller yet the view of the kingdom stayed the same.I tried to pull myself up my makeshift ladder but the more I climbed the longer the rope became. Panic gripped me as my situation dawned on me. I was trapped. If I continued to climb, either way, I would get nowhere. If I let go there's a chance I could fall forever or crash into the ground. If I did nothing I knew it was only a matter of time before my limbs gave out. All my options were bleak. I wrapped the fabric around my hand a couple of times while I attempted to pull some of the blanket up to tie it into a loop for me to sit in. I used my free hand and teeth to tie a knot in the loop. I gave the knot a good tug to ensure the loop was strong enough to, hopefully, hold my weight. As I attempted to climb inside my makeshift swing I heard the screech of an owl. I looked up to see a very familiar looking white barn owl closing in on me. The bird screeched and swooped towards me and the blanket ropes. I screamed and tried desperately to hold onto the sheets as the owl used his talons to claw at my arms. The razer sharp claws cut into my arms as they grabbed hold of me. I tried desperately to swat him away. This was my undoing. The sheets tore and I lost my grip.I plummeted towards the ground. The closer I got to the ground the faster I felt I was falling. I covered my eyes with my hands as the stone ground came closer and closer.Instead of hitting the pavement, I landed face first into a soft plush mattress. I looked up to find myself back in "my bedroom". The sheets and curtains had been replaced and my window now barred. I climbed out of the bed and inspected my body. Along my arms were cuts from the owls talons.“You……” Jareth appeared in the room. He passed around angrily. “You and I had a deal”, he growled as he turned back to face me.“Yes. And you keep changing the rules. It’s only fair that I try to help Legolas wherever I can”, I snap at him. The goblin kings glare became harsh. I backed away as he stormed towards me. His gloved hand wrapped around my throat and pinned me against the wall.“Choose your next words carefully, my dear wife”, he growled in my face.“Legolas is twice the man you will ever be”. His eye twitched with anger. “He will save me. And when he does the only time I will see you again is in hell”, I snarled in his face. Jareth didn’t say anything. That was the scary part. His free hand made contact with the wall. He punched the the stone beside my head a few times before I was able to push him away from me.Jareth tried to grabbed me. I dived under his arms and ran to the door. I shouldn’t have been surprised when the other side of the door was just another brick wall.I screamed in pain as Jareth grabbed me by my hair and pulled away from the “door”. He wrapped his arms around me and dragged me towards the table.“I think there’s something you need to see”, he snarled in my ear. He held me close as he forced me to stare into the crystal on the table. Legolas had managed to escape Jareths army and was being tended to by a swarm of strange little worms. They tended his wounds and patched him up. I was forced to watch as one of Jareths clocks appeared in the room. The hands began to turn removing an hour from the time he had left.“Jareth you son of a bitc-“ the ground bellow him began to creak as the floorboards began to splinter and crack.I struggled in Jareths grasp. His leather glove held my face in place as he wrapped his other arm tightly around my waist, pinning my back hard against his torso. He forced me to watch as Legolas plummeted into the deep dark abyss.“Every time you misbehave your dear Legolas will be punished”. I managed to pull myself free, or he released me, from his grip.“You’re a monster!” I grabbed a pillow off the bed and through it at his head. He just smacked it away before it could hit him. I grabbed anything and everything I could towards him.“Aren’t you getting tired?” He sighed. With a wave of his hand his clock appeared beside him. The minute hand begins to speed up once more “You were warned”.“No! Stop!” I cried out. The minute hand stopped, half an hour had been stolen. My body shook with rage and fear.“Now. Are you going to behave or shall I take more time away from your precious little elf”
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Legolas POV I plummeted down into the deep dark abyss. As I fell I swear I felt things reach out from the dark to grab at me. My cloths were ripped, my hair was grabbed at. Eventually whatever was grabbing at me reached out at me from all angles. I was held in place by what felt like numerous hands. I felt violated as the strange hands grabbed at me from all directions.I ripped my arm free and reached into my pocket for my phone. I knew it would be useless to call anyone but I hoped it was still intact enough for me to use it as a torch. I pressed the button on the side and the cracked screen came to life. Around me I saw hands reaching out from he darkness. I tried desperately to pull myself free from the disembodied hands."Let me go!" I shouted as I struggled against the grip of the hands. A strange laughter filled the pit. "Whose there! Sho yourself!" A group of the hands joined together to make the shape of a face."If we let you go you will fall", the hands said with the voice of multiple men. “Is that what you want to happen?”"What the hell are you!" I shouted."We're helping hands", explained another cluster of hands as they came together to form another face.“How is this helping?” I grumbled.“We could just let you fall”. Just then the hands released me, causing me to fall a few meters before they grabbed hold of me once more. I nearly dropped my phone.“Don’t drop me again!” I shouted at them.“You aren’t being very nice”, a hand face said. “Let’s just help you down”. The hands began to cackle as they once more dropped me down deeper into the darkness. The hands slowed me down so that when I hit the ground I wasn’t as badly injured as I could have been. When my body hit the floor my phone flew into the darkness, going black one final time as it smashed into the ground.I lay on the ground groaning in pain. I knew that if I survived this I would need to spend a week doing nothing. Probably go to hospital and get a head to toe CT scan. I knew i couldn’t to waste any time so I once again pealed myself off the ground and began to teach around the dark cavern hoping to find the wall. When I did I began to walk in the direction I was facing. The farther I walked the more my leg began to ache. I wondered if I had fractured it in the fall. Suddenly Jareth’s laughter filled the darkness.“Show yourself monster!” I yelled into the darkness. The laughter only continued. It came from every direction.
“Shut-up!” I yelled out into the darkness.“You shut-up”, I heard a voice say. “You’re the only one shouting”. I looked around but all I saw was darkness. A match was struck and a lantern was lit.“You?” The goblin who escaped (Y/N)s wedding stood before me."Took me a while to find you", he explained as he lit another lantern."You knew I was here?" I asked as he lifted one of the lanterns and handed it to me."Word travels fast in the Labyrinth", the goblin explained. He turned and lead me through the tunnel."Why are you helping me?""You helped my friends. I want to return the favour". The goblin lead me through the tunnels until we came to an old ladder that looked like it had been made by tying numerous small branches together. "This way". The goblin hooked his lantern to his belt and began his climb. The ladder creaked and groaned as the goblin climbed higher and higher.I grasped a run of the ladder and put my foot in the first step, testing to see if it could take my weight. When it could I placed the handle of my lantern in my mouth and began my climb. The ladder creaked and groaned even louder with every step up I took. When I got closer to the top one of the runs snapped under the weight of my body. I clutched the sides of the ladder, searing pain ran through my body as my bandaged hands. My screams of pain were muffled by the lantern handle in my mouth. The higher I went the light at the end of the tunnel become brighter and brighter. Together we climbed out of the tunnel and found ourselves in another wooded area."This way! Hurry!". The two of us walked through the woods until we came to the edge. A horrible stench filled my nose. In front of us was a vast garbage dump. He started to walk through the piles of garbage. "Come on then!" He shouted back at me as he climbed onto the piles of rubbish. I held my breath and began to follow him. He lead me through the towers of debris towards an old beaten up door that appeared to be laying against a wall of trash. The goblin knocked on the door three times, paused for five seconds then knocked again five times. The door opened from the inside and an older goblin woman quickly ushered us inside."What is this place?" I asked as I stepped into the hidden room. The room was small, my head grazed the ceiling. In the centre of the room was a table with a miniature replica of the goblin city ontop. The fine details were incredible. The older goblin, lovingly pulled the first goblin into a hug and kissed him on the cheek."This is my temporary home. I'm takin a lot of risk helping ya. Because of you and the humans I'm a wanted criminal. We can't go back to our actual home as it will put our family at risk"."Why are you helping me?" I asked as I attempted to sit down on a small stool. I tried squatting but instead opted to sit turned off to the side with my legs stretched out."You saved my friends Ada and Nettie. I owe ya", the goblin pulled up a stool and sat across from me at the table. The goblin woman walked over to the fire place and placed a book on the fire to keep it going. "The least I can do is help you plan your next move. I can help you get into the city but getting you into the castle will be much harder. Jareth had blocked off all the secret tunnels in the castle we used to use".I looked over the model. I planned a route in my head. I remembered the battles I fought, the wars I helped to win. Before I had friends and alleys fighting by my side. This time I was going into battle alone. Readers POV I stood in front of the large mirror looking at my reflection. I almost didn’t recognise the woman standing before me. My hair was (shortened/lengthened), curled and pinned back. A sparkling (F/C) Victorian styled gown laid across my bed as my goblin handmaiden tightened the ties to my corset. I gasped as she tightened it so much that I was surprised I didn’t end up with a broken rib. Every time I tried to protest I would be reminded of what consequences Legolas would face, so with each tug of the strings I would just grit my teeth or grunt.Once she was happy with the corset and quickly forced the dress over my head, lacing it up in the front.“My apologies miss”, she quickly neatened up my hair once more. "There. All done". She hoped off her stool and stepped back to admire her work. I looked in the mirror and cringed at how I looked. I (loved/hated) dressing up. This just made me feel like another one of Jareths dolls. A toy for him to dressup how he saw fit.I gave her a gentle smile as she made me a pair of long white satin and lace gloves. I slipped them on before my handmaid lead me out of my room.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Readers POV My heart raced as my handmaid lead be through the halls of the castle. Time seemed to slow down for me. My legs felt heavy and the hallway seemed to go on for miles. I wanted to turn around and run for the nearest exit but I couldn't risk causing Legolas more harm. My stupidity cost him dearly. I didn't know how much time we had left but I knew it wouldn't be a lot. He would need a bloody miracle to make it to the castle in time. Last I checked he was no where near close enough. I prayed the hole he fell into would lead him towards some sort of short cut. Maybe the others in Dale have figured out a way to open another portal to get us both out. Jareth had removed the clock from my room as punishment for attempting to escape. In the meantime I just had to put on a brave face an just do what I can to distract Jareth in order to keep his gaze off the Labyrinth and Legolas.I was lead to yet another set of arched Spanish doors. This castle felt like nothing but a collection of mismatched doors and hallways. The handmaid knocked twice and the doors swung open to reveal a grand ballroom. I knew exactly where I was when I saw Jareths doll collection scattered throughout the horde of goblins. The goblins did their best to dress as nicely as they could. Some wore expensive looking tailored suits, robes and dresses, while others looked like they took the effort to clean themselves up and put on things like ribbons and ties to try and look more formal. The crowd turned towards me as I was lead into the room. As the handmaid lead me deeper into the ballroom the crowd began to part. As the crowd parted they created a parth towards a gold version of the throne in Jareths usual throne room. Beside it was a smaller, more traditional looking throne made of marble and decorated with golden satin silk pillow. Between the two thrones stood a pillar. Ontop if it, upon a gold satin pillow, sat a delicate crown made of curved twist silver. It reminded me somewhat of the hairpieces the elves wore in Mirkwood. At the front, embedded in the silver crown was a large (F/Gem).My legs felt heavy as the handmaid lead me towards Jareth. He stood tall in a matching (F/C) suit. He smiled as he took my hand and guided me to step up onto the platform that held "our” thrones. I looked out over the crowd. They seemed so happy. Yet I was filled with despair. I smiled despite being so angry at these people. Did they not know that I was not hear by choice?Jareth turned to me and guided me to sit down on my throne. The corset I was forced to wear caused me to sit straight up, keeping me from slouching."My people!" Jareth loudly addressed the crowd. "For to long this kingdom has gone without a queen. I have gone without a queen. A wife. Someone to rule by my side". I cringed as the goblins began to cheer. Jareth raised his hand to the crowd, instantly silencing them. "Today marks the beginning of a new era for our kingdom". The goblin king turned to face me and grabbed the crown from its stand. As he turned to place the crown upon my head I saw a pocket watch poking out of the his pants pocket. Thirty minutes was all that was left on the timer."Legolas still has time to save me", I whispered only loud enough for Jareth to hear me. I could see the corner of his eye twitch with annoyance. He placed the crown upon my head before putting on a fake smile and turning back towards the crown."Introducing (Y/N) (middle/N) Oakenshield. Princess of Errobor and Queen of the goblins!" Jareth shouted out to the crowd. He room erupted with applause. The human dolls clapped while the goblins hooted and hollard. In the corner of my eye I spotted Jareths "parents". They both seemed so happy for their son. Clapping like nothing was wrong. The laughter and applause began to die down as music began to play. Jareth took me by the hand and lead me down onto the dancefloor. He placed his other hand on my hip and lead me in a dance."It does not matter if he has half an hour or a week", Jareth spun me around the dancefloor. "He will never breach the city walls let alone the castle. It is best if you just calm down and accept your fate. Love me, fear me and I will be your slave". We continued our dance. He let go of my hip and spun me out before pulling me back in. He held me close as he pulled his pocket watch out of his his pocket to show me. Now we only had about ten minutes left. "By the time we are finished the next dance you will be mine forever". Legolas pov "This is where I leave you", Schemer told as he lead me to a hole in the wall surrounding the goblin city."It looks a bit small. Are you sure I will be able to fit?" I asked as he finished pulling aside the bush that covered the hole. "Maybe I can scale the wall?""Trust me you will fit", he explained. "Besides the tunnel is quicker"."I guess this is goodbye", I said to him as I crawled into the tunnel."Before you go. I would like you to tell Nettie and Ada that I will miss being their friend"."You could always come with me"."I could never leave the labyrinth. This is my home. I could never leave my family. My mother would never forgive me", he gave me a sad smile. "Now go". I nodded and began to climb through the tunnel. It was a tight fit. I winced as my injuries grazed against the walls of the tunnel. When I got to the other side I felt something curved, hard and wooden blocking my way. I listened for any movement on the other side of the wall before I gave whatever was blocking my path a hard push. I averted my gaze as light filled the tunnel. I pushed, what I now saw was a pile of barrels out of my way and climbed out. I looked around and found that the city was deserted. I couldn’t help but wonder where everyone was. Quickly I shook off those thoughts and started running towards the castle.I stopped in my tracks when I heard the familiar sound of goblins marching in their armour. I quickly scaled the side of a house and climbed up to the roof. A small patrol of goblin guards marched past not seeing me up on my perch. I let out the breath I was holding and silently leapt over to the next house. I kept to the high ground and avoided the goblin kings patrols. I couldn’t help but feel that these goblins were a lot dumber then the ones I thought against during the wars of the ring. Centuries ago goblins were vicious and blood thirsty. My guess was that without the influence of Sauron and other dark lords the goblin people were free to be anything other then soldiers. They were free to be whatever they wanted.I leaped towards a house just outside of the courtyard of the goblin kings castle. As I peaked over the top of the roof I was hiding behind I saw a small army guarding the door to the castle. Looked like Jareth was taking no chances. The castle was too far away for me to leap towards one of the lower windows. I knew in order to get in I would have to create a very big distraction.I scanned the area thoroughly and saw something that made me smile. Not only was the ground covered in extremely dry looking straw but the guards kept going over to a stack whiskey barrels to refill their mugs. Jareths men were drinking on the job. I heard the sound of drunken feet scraping on the ground as their owner struggled to stay up. A lone soldier had broken off from the group and had decided to patrol the city on his own. In one hand he held a torch while the other he held a goblet of ale. A bow and quiver of arrows were strapped to his back. I felt my luck begin to turn.I quietly jumped from the rooftop to the ground in front of him. With one swift punch to the face, the goblin was knocked out cold. I hooked my arm through his bow and quiver and placed the handle of the torch into my mouth, being careful not to set my hair ablaze. I carefully climbed back onto the rooftop, being careful not to spill the ale.I took what was left of my shirt and ripped it into shreds. I wrapped the shreds of my shirt around the tips of the arrows and placed them into the cup of alcohol. I held the bow in my hand. It was so small it reminded me of the one I trained with as a child. I took my first arrow out of the cup and lit it aflame with the torch. I smiled down at the guards and fired the bow towards a small pile of hay.Guards started to scramble as the fire quickly began to spread. I shot another arrow, this time hitting a barrel. The alcohol inside caught flame and it quickly ignited the other barrels. Readers POV I felt numb. I felt like my life had ended. I had been in worse scapes before but I always came out ontop. Someone or something would always come around and saved me at the last minute if I couldn’t save myself. My luck had finally run out."Don't look so gloomy. Think of all the positive things that will come with being my wife". I wanted to drown him out and focus on the music but his smooth voice cut through the music. "Here in my kingdom you will never age and never die. We can watch our children and possibly even grand children grow. You will have power far beyond what you would have been capable in the human world"."Immortality is a curse, the elves have shown me that", I replied."That's only because they are living in a world not meant for them", he sighed with annoyance. The look of irritation faded from his face once more. "Your opinion will chance soon enough. This place has a way of altering the minds of humans". I clenched my fingers, trying desperately not to slap him. Jareth felt this and let out a small chuckle. I let out a startled yelp as he roughly pulled me into a passionate kiss. Soon the music from the first dance began to fade.Just as the music to the next song began to play a goblin in a full set of armour burst through the doors. Jareth ripped himself off me and turned towards the goblin guard."What is the meaning of this!" He shouted. The entire ballroom went quiet."The king of Mirkwood has breached the castle walls!" The soldier announced as he quickly bowed. "He is on his way here".
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Legolas POV The guards worked hard to save their precious alcohol. While they were distracted I jumped down from the rooftop and ran towards the castle doors. It wasn’t until after I slammed the doors shut that any of them knew I was here. I ripped a poleaxe out of the hands of a decorative suit of armour and used it to bar the doors. I knew it wasn’t going to last for long when the goblin soldiers on the other side of the door began thrashing their bodies against it, attempting to break down the door.“Aaahhhh. Alert alert!” I looked up and saw a guard standing at the top of a set of stairs. “Intruder!” He cried as he ran into a hallway. I ran up the chairs, chasing after the guard. The poleaxe cracked and splintered. The doors soon flew open, the goblin army flooding into the foyer. I kept my focus on the goblin ahead of me.As I chased him deeper into the castle I hear music in the distance. I knew I had to be close. Readers POV “Seal the doors!” Jareth yelled at his guards. They didn’t even get the chance to fully close the doors before the panic started.I couldn't help but laught at the situation. Jareth looked enraged. The human dolls began to freeze in place while the goblins civilians began to panic and scatter. The goblin guard who alerted us was knocked over as the civilians swarmed out of the ballroom. Alarm bells began to chime."I knew he would make it", I shoved Jareth away from me and attempted to join the swam. His angry growl cut through the chaos as he chased me down and reached out to grasp my arm tightly. He pulled me back into his grasp, wrapping his arms around my waist. "Let me go!" I yelled. I thrashed around in his arms, trying to loosen his grip.“Shut up”, he snapped as he dragged me along with the crowd. While the crowd swarmed left Jareth tried to turned right. He was trying to drag me deeper into the castle.“(Y/N)!” I turned back and saw Legolas attempt to push his way through the crowd. He did not look good. He was shirtless and covered in bruises and cuts. Some were covered in soiled bandages while others looked fresh. His golden hair was a total mess. Just covered in mud and leaves.“Legolas!” I called back as I tried once more to free myself from Jareths grip. A goblin guard leaped up from the crowd and wrapped his arms around the elven kings neck. Two more latched onto his legs. He tried to throw them off, but with the aid of the crowd, was thrown to the floor. I screamed, trying to get to him, as the last of the goblin guests trampled Legolas. Jareth growled in frustration once more and continued to drag me through the hall.“Stop struggling”, he grumbled as he pulled me through an arched doorway. I gasped in shock and tried to back away. The arched doorway the opened out into a cavernous room. There were stairs and walkways all over the place. Some upside down, others sideways. There were archways that looked like they opened up into rooms that were identical to this one.Across the room, particularly below us, Legolas rushed through another archway."Legolas!" I screamed. I could feel Jareths grip tighten once more. But this time I had had enough. I turned back towards the mighty goblin King and with all my strength, stomped down hard on his foot and pushed myself out of his arms. I kicked off my shoes and took off. I ran down a set of stairs, towards the nearest ledge. Legolas began running and climbing in my direction. I bundled up my puffy skirt to hold it up as I attempted to jump from one platform to another.I landed rigtht on the edge of the second platform. My body began to rock back and forth as I struggled to keep my ballace."(Y/N)!" Legolas called out as I screamed. My body fell backwards. I expect myself to fall towards a set of stairs beneath me but somehow I had barely fallen, if anything I had just tripped backwards, landing on my rear. I looked and saw that Legolas now looked to be hanging by his feet from the platform above him. His eyes wide with horror. His mouth agape. The more I looked around I realised that I had landed on the other side of the platform and was now the one who was upside down.I causiously stood, my hands sticking out to the sides for balance. To my surprise both my hair and my dress stayed “down”. I let out a sigh of relief. Legolas looked into my eyes before he gave me a nod. We ran towards eachother over the different stairs and platforms.I watched Legolas leap from platform to platform. He seemed so weightless. I wondered if it was an elf thing for just a skill he developed over his very long life. Every time I came to a ledge I would hesitate. Despite the room literally defying gravity and breaking the laws of physics I still couldn't trust that I wouldn't fall."Come on", Legolas called to me. "We are almost there", I jumped down from a set of upside stairs to the platform "beneath". I grunted as I hit the ground hard, my hands and knees colliding with the hard stone ground. Legolas assented the stairs on the other end of the platform as I pulled myself up to my feet. A smile spread across my face as we came closer and closer together.I reached my hands out to him as he reached out towards me. Our fingers inches from touching.Jareth stepped up from the underside of the platform we were standing on. He stepped between Legolas and I. The goblin king was no longer in the suit from the ball but now dressed in black tights and a jacked made from both black leather and red Swede. He grabbed me by my shoulders and flipped the two of us back to the underside of the platform. Oh this side of the platform was yet another archway. Jareth dragged me through it. The courtyard was in ruins. Broken pillars and partially dismantled walls surrounded us. Loose stones and bricks lay across the ground, vines growing over everything. As we stepped out into a courtyard I could see Legolas climbing “up” onto the “topside” of the platform.Jareth continued to drag me out into the courtyard I looked around for anything I could use as a weapon. Legolas pulled himself to his feet and staggered out into the courtyard."Let her go!" The elf king yelled. His voice was filled with a primal rage."Face it Woodland king". Jareth pushed me behind him. The clock appeared between us and Legolas. “You have less then two minutes left. You have lost". I wanted to punch Jareth in his smug fave. "Go back to your kingdom and let us rule mine in peace"."I won’t leave without Miss Oakenshield". Legolas kicked up a branch from the ground and held it like a fighting staff.“Then so be it”, Jareth growl. I was thrown to the side. With a wave of his hand Jareth turned the branch in Legolas’s grasp into a sword. A matching sword appearing his own hands. The elven king charged towards the goblin king. Their swords clashed together.Legolas was clearly the more skilled fighter, but what Jareth lacked in skill he more then made up for it with his cunning and strength. I watched as the two kings dueled. The clock made a loud chime as the minute hand moved up a spot. One minute left and I would be trapped here. When I turned by gaze back to the kings, Jareth was slashing at Legolas with such ferocity that he was forcing him backwards. Jareth noticed that one of the elvish kings legs was weaker then the other, probably injured when he was trampled. Legolas cried out in pain as Jareth stomped down hard on his injured leg, causing the elf to fall on his back.At that point I knew I needed to intervene. I charged towards Jareth and jumped on his back. I wrapped one arm around his shoulders and tried to grab at his hand holding the sword. Jareth let out an irritated sigh. He grabbed me by my hair and flipped me over his shoulders. My body hit the ground hard. I wasn’t on the floor long before Jareth pulled me up and wrapped his hand around my throat, pinning me to his chest.“Goblin king!” Legolas shouted, gaining Jareths attention. “Let her go”. He wobbled as he pulled himself to his feet.“Don’t you understand what I’m doing. I’m opening my world to you and your people. All I ask in return is for you to turn around and leave. Forget about her!”“Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the Goblin City to take back the woman you have stolen”. Jareth scoffed at Legolas.“I am giving you one last chance at peace”, Jareth growled.“My will is as strong as yours and my kingdom as great”“Listen to me!” I flinched with fear as Jareth roared with anger.“You have no power over us!” Legolas shouted back. I felt Jareths grip on my throat loosen. His sword clattered against the stone as he released it from his grip. I pushed myself out of Jareths grasp and ran towards Legolas.I sighed in relief as the elvish king wrapped his arms around me. As I looked up towards the familiar face the clock began to chime. Our time was up.I turned my gaze back towards the goblin king. He was defeated. Behind his eyes I could see a deep sadness. Time began to stand still. The goblin king materialised a crystal and tossed it towards us. I held out my hand to catch it. As the crystal landed in my hands the ground beneath us began to break away.I turned and held Legolas close as we began to fall. The two of us fell together. The fall didn’t feel like we were plummeting to the ground, but gently drifting. I pulled my face away from Legolas’s chest to see chunks of stone and pillars gently drifting upwards and away. But the more we fell the faster our decent became. The purple sky’s around us began to turn to leaves and trees. The trees began to surround us. I buried my face back in Legolas’s chest as we fell faster and faster.Soon the trees began to weave together to resemble the halls of the woodland realm. I looked above us and the ceiling began to form. With a hard thud we landed in the centre of the throne-room. Legolas groaned as he rolled off me.“Are you okay?” I asked as I pulled myself into a sitting position. I looked and saw that I was still holding the crystal ball that Jareth had tossed to me.“I’m fine”, he lied. I could hear the pain in his voice. “I have been in bigger battles”. As we helped each-other to stand I heard footsteps approaching. A pair of guards rushed into the throne room. They took one look at their king and ran for a medic.“(Y/N)!” I heard Tauriel callout as she rushed into the room. “Legolas. How are you back?”“We played Jareths game and won”, Legolas said as he tried to keep himself from falling over.“You look absolutely horrible”, Tauriel stated, taking in his appearance. “I’m just so glad you’re both okay”, she wrapped an arm around each of us and pulled us into a tight hug. Legolas hissed in pain. “Sorry”. Tauriel quickly released us and lead Legolas over to the stairs at the foot of his throne. Despite his objections she forced him to sit.The guards returned with the medic who went right to work tending to the kings injuries.“We need to get him to the infirmary”.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
I sat outside the infirmary with Thranduil as the doctor looked over Legolas's injuries. I felt ridiculous sitting on the plastic chair in the big puffy dress. I didn’t have time to change before the guards had scooped up the king and brought him here."He will be okay. He has been in far greater battles", Thranduil said trying to comfort me. In a way I felt like he was saying it to himself. Behind his stone cold demeanour was a father trying to convince himself that his son would be okay. Legolas was not in the best shape when we made it home. He was covered with cuts and bruises. He had fallen from great heights multiple times, been cut by thorns and branches and even trampled. A lesser man would have been more saverly injured had they even survived."I do wonder how less injured he would have gotten had he just tried to solve the labyrinth instead of just brute forcing it”, I wondered. We immediately stood when the doctor came out of the infirmary."Is he okay?" Thranduil asked. He looked down at me, a confused look on his face, when I grabbed his hand for comfort."Legolas has withstood multiple injuries and is being taken to get some scans done. I won't know the full extent of his injuries until we get the scans back", the doctor paused as he guestered for us to sit. "We have treated his flesh wounds and it looks like he may have a few broken ribs". The doctor placed his clipboard into a slot on the door. "It would be best if you came back tomorrow. The king will need his rest. Miss Oakenshield do you require any medical attention?"."No thank you. I'm fine", I replied as I gently took Thranduil by the arm and lead him out of the infirmary. We made our way out of the hospital wing and headed towards the war room to regroup. My body filled with dred as we entered the room. After the battle with the dark elves I thought we wouldn't have to worry about another war breaking out. But with everything that's gone down this past week I feared war was only a matter of time.I watched Thranduil sit at the table. He stared down at the map of Mirkwood. He had a look in his eyes that I had never seen before. In any other man I would assume it was fear."He is going to be okay", I reassured him. He gave me a slight smile."The kingdom needs a leader right now and he may not be up to the task", he sighed."I doubt my people will accept me after everything I have done. Even in a temporary role"."But you can stand with them. You can offer support while The council can take over while Legolas is incapacitated". I placed my hand on his shoulder. I gave Thranduil a smile when he looked up towards me. "He will be okay"."I cannot lose him again". Before I could respond a guard burst into the room. He turned to Thranduil and bowed his head."My lord, you need to come quick!" The soldier sounded panicked. "Jareth is in the throne room!". Thranduil leapt up from his seat, the chair tipped and fell against the floor. The ex king charged out of the room, pushing the guard out of his way. He was furious. I chased after him, the guard following behind us. My bare feet slapped against the stone and wooden floors of the castle. They ached but I ignored the pain. I knew if Thranduil got to the throne room without me there was a chance he might try to kill Jareth. Even if he failed the attempted on Jareths life, it would most likely ensure a war between the elves and the goblins."You have a lot of nerve showing your face around here!" We could hear Tauriel yelling from the throne room . Thranduil speedup and ran into the room before I could stop him"Get out of that chair!" I ran in as fast as i could. The guards stood around the throne in a crescent shape, their swords were all drawn, ready for battle. At the top of the stairs in the center of the room, Jareth sat on the woodland throne. He laid across it sideways, his legs dangled off the side of one of the arms. The elves half of the Arkenstone shining bright."You can all put your weapons away", he sighed as he pulled himself into a sitting position. "Im not here for a fight"."Then why are you here?" I asked as I made my way to stand between Thranduil and the throne."I'm here to concede defeat". He stood and began to descend the stairs. "Your king has showed me he is a worthy foe. I have decided to only take the goblins who wish to return to the labyrinth". He stood in front of me and waved his hand. A crystal appeared and he offered it to me."What is this for?" I asked as I took it."It's so you can open a door to my world if any who choose to stay now can leave at a later date if they choose to change their minds". As he spoke I couldn't help but notice a pain in his eyes. The same pain he had back in his castle when he send us back to our world."This is surprisingly generous of you", Tauriel said as she took the crystal from my hands. "What's the catch?" She asked as she inspected the sphere."I just wish to speak to my wif- Miss Oakenshield one last time before I leave", Jareth replied. Thranduil tried to push past me but Tauriel held him back."It's okay", I placed my hand on the ex king's shoulder. "I will be okay". Tauriel glared daggers at Jareth as she removed the dagger hanging off her belt and handed it to me. She lead Thranduil and most of the guards out of the throne room, leaving two at the entrance incase Jareth tried anything funny."What did you want to say to me?" I tried hard not to sound irritated."Return to the labyrinth with me", he asked. His eyes looking hopeful."I'm sorry but I can't", I replied."I can give you everything. You will be immortal. Be the queen you were destined to be”. I stepped back when he reached out to stroke my face. I sighed and took the small crown off my head and handed it back to him."Jareth. I don't love you. I could never love you after everything you have done to me, to Legolas, mandy, the people in the dump, your dolls.... How can you expect anyone to want you when you treat people like toys". Jareths face darkened. He clenched his fists in anger. The crown buckled in his grasp."Be warned (Y/N) next time you and I cross paths don't expect me to be merciful", he growled, tossing the crown across the room. He turned from me and began to shift back into his owl form. The last I saw of the goblin king he was flying towards the castle gates. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ No one was surprised when Legolas made a hasty recover. He spend only a day in the infirm before he insisted on getting back to work. The doctor only allowed him to leave the infirmary on the provision that he worked from the comfort of his own private quarters. After Jareth had left Thranduil used the crystal and an antique mirror to open up a doorway between our world and that of the goblins. Many goblins chose to go to but most chose to stay. A pair of guards were posted by the doorway to ensure no malicious entities could sneak thought. After a few weeks it was decided that a small party would venture into the Goblin kingdom to try and save the humans trapped within. Thranduil and Tauriel volunteered to lead the expedition. Tauriel, because she knew the land. Thranduil never said why he volunteered but I felt that it was to try and redeem himself. The plan was to try and use diplomacy and only if that failed would they attempt to steal the people away. Knowing Jareth he will probably try to turn it into some form of twisted game.
So far they have not succeeded in their mission.Ada and Nettie have slowly begun to settle into their new lives. It was hard for them when they first came. Everyone they knew and loved were all long gone. Their only solace was that they had each other. They have struggled to adjust to the human world but that hasn’t stopped them from trying.Technology has advanced so much that the very idea of living in Dale was too much for them so they chose to stay in Mirkwood for the time being. We have been introducing them to the modern world slowly.Nettie Told me that before she was taken she wanted to go to university and is trying hard to catch-up with the rest of the world so she could finally go. Ada on the other hand just wanted to focus on learning to survive in this strange new world.A few days after the portal was opened Schemer bought his family through so that they could give the girls a proper goodbye. His mother and sister seemed like such nice women. It would have been nice to have gotten to know them better before they left.Mandy's parents were brought into the Order before they could be properly reunited with their daughter. The council debated for days on if returning Mandy to her parents would be the best decision. She had been missing, presumed dead, for decades. Mr Horton worried that it might be cruel for Mandy to see her parents. They had aged over twenty years while she stayed the same. The reunion was a strange mixture of heartbreaking and heartwarming. They never stopped looking for their daughter. They talked and decided to move to another town so that they could start fresh. They decided to tell people that they had her later in life. That she was their miracle child. In a way she was.The order helped them to create the documents needed to pull it off.Hoggle was treated like a celebrity by the order. He was a pure dwarf after-all. They offered to set him up in a house in Erobor but he wanted to return to the labyrinth. He wanted to be there for to help the next person Jareth planned to trap in his games. Before leaving he asked me to help him use a computer so he could track down an old friend of his. Sarah. He hadn't heard from her for well over a decade, in human years. She was married now with children of her own. Sarah was an author. Not one of the best sellers, but popular enough that she had a small cult following. We got the address to her post office box and sent her a letter. Before leaving for the labyrinth, Thranduil taught some of the magic users how to create more magic mirrors. Mirrors that acted like doorways and windows. We found that it was easier to travel inconspicuously between the three cities. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I was in my classroom going over my lesson plan for the next week, my language tapes playing through my earbuds, when Legolas knocked on my door."Hey", I smiled as I greeted him. I removed my earbuds and placed them back in their case. He was wearing his black wig and fake mastarche that he usually wore whenever he had to go out into Dale or mingle with humans. "Is everything alright?""Yes i just had a video call meeting with my artifact dealer in new york", he grabbed a chair and moved it so that he could sit across from me at my desk."Artifact dealer?" I asked."After the whole incident with the Arken stone and Aether I put together a team of collectors to help me track down potienial mystical artifacts that could cause a lot of harm if they fall into the wrong hands", Legolas explained as he pulled his phone from his pocket."Did they find something?""Yes. How would you like to go to New York to pick up the artifact. I know what you are thinking but don't worry I will pay for your flights, hotel room. Everything you need"."Why me?""Partly because I can trust you and the other reason...." He paused. "I think after everything that's happened with my father, Malekith...... Jareth. If anyone needs a holiday its you"."So what is this artifact i am going to collect?" Legolas handed me his phone. on the screen was an image of a strip of gold covered with intracent markings. They looked reminiscent of dawrven architecture. It looked rather familiar. "Its beautiful. What is it?""How much do you know of the elvish kingdom of bethmora?"
