Work Text

Gah, has it been 7 whole months since that call? I guess so. If you're wondering, or filled with curiosity, 7 months earlier, a guy with a flamethrower chainsaw (I think?) threathened to murder me, and some guy named Mark. You'll meet him later, I'm sure of it. Of course though, he's in jail, so there is no way for me to relive that.. traumatic experience. DING! I check my phone, to see a person had messaged me.Markitplier: Nate, phone guy's out..again..NateWantsToBTL: WHAT. EXCUSE ME?Markitplier: Yeahh, he got out recently. :/NateWantsToBTL: FIRST OFF, WHY THE FCK ARE YOU SO CALM.Markitplier: Dunno, that's just how I am.MARKITPLIER IS OFFLINEScratch whatever shit I said earlier, the guy's out of jail. Sighing angrily, I headed back to my apartment complex. Laying in bed, I really didn't know what to do. C'mon, give me some credit. I went through bullshit, and now have to do it again. Sighs. Suddenly, my phone buzzed. Thinking it wasn't important, I took no note of it. But it annoyed me, so I picked up. "Uh hello, hello hello?" I knew exactly who this guy was, and I fought all my urges to hang up. "What do YOU want." I sternly demanded. "Only here to disturb your peace, so chillax. You heard I'm freshly out of jail, no?" I nodded, but remembering this was a voice call, I said, "Yeah, whatever." "I somewhat need a base, if that's what you call it.. so.." My window shattered as I hung up, boiling with disgust. "So, so sorry Nate. Did I scare you?" Phone Guy laughed sinisterly. "You're a pure-blooded CRIMINAL. Why the fuck are you here." "So I don't become a prisoner, as simple as can be, dummy." I tsked, rolling my eyes. Of course, I wouldn't 'refuge' him, but what choice could I say? I had none, and all the power wasn't in my favor. He could kill me, and no one'd ever know. That shit annoyed the fuck out of me, to put it. So, I'd come out with a solution later. Not a biggie. "Call me Phone Guy, Scott Cawthon, Matpat, or whatever you'd prefer, Nathan Smith." I was thrown off by the fact he knew my full and real name, but of course, it's HIM. Not surprising. I sighed once again, shaking my head. "Get out of my room you moron, before I fucking knock your ass out. Go sleep in the basement, for fucks sake." Matt nodded, disappearing as fast as he had came. This annoyed and disgusted me too much, so my thoughts filled the void.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Yknow, that guy was pRetTy okay. I mean, my expectations aren't low, no, not at all. That guy didn't calling 911 as soon as I came, so he has SOME brains.. I guess.I find Nate's bedroom quite quickly, and so I take off my suit, revealing dark, messy, brown hair, and a face splattered blood. I take off the Freddy Fazbear mask on the side of my face as well, it was dirty. I slowly rinsed a hankerchief, then wiped the maroon splatters off my face. The hankerchief turned red quickly, as I accidentally touch a burn mark. "Ow.." I groan in pain. I put everything back on, mask/head included. Sure, of course, Nate has seen my face before, though I feel insecure about my burn marks. They looked ugly as fuck anyways, so. I opened the door to see a confused Nate. "Why'd you take so long?" Nate questioned, glancing up and down at me. I shook my head, giving what many would call and invalid answer. Nate sighed (that seems to be his thing), moving out of the doorway. I walked up to the attic, figuring I'd crash there. Continuing my walk, I got a glance of Nate going to his kitchen.I got up, and damn, it looked like Nate had set up everything for me. There was a mattress. Nothing much, just a normal thing. All I needed, really. And a bag of food, with another filled with water bottles. I faceplanted onto the mattress, deciding to sleep for now.My eyes opened as sunrise occured. 6:30A.M. Not early, really. I head downstairs quietly as I hear mumbles. I slowly walk towards it, and peeked through the doorway. I'm a well-known criminal, after all. Nates personality is so different, offline and in real life. Though, through some magic, you can tell it's him. I continue to watch as his fliming ends, with Nate staring at me dead in the eyes. I turn around, heading back up to the attic. Maybe something exciting happens, but not now. The only thing worth mentioning is Nate's musical career.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

"Good day, everyone! Have a splendid one, and I'll see you next time!" I happily exclaimed, turning sour as my head turned towards Matt staring directly at me. I stared back as MatPat headed back up the stairs to the attic. Is ighed, spinning in my chair. As I thought of something, I took out my phone, deciding to ask Mark. Y'know, that one guy I mentioned. You do remember, right? Anyways, I needed a friend whose somewhat sane. Kinda?NateWantsToBTL: Mark ? I need your advice...Markitplier: About?? With?? WHat?? :/NateWantsToBTL: buckle upMarkitplier: noNateWantsToBTL: That one Phone Guy is living in my attic, sosMarkitplier: WHAT??? HELLO??NateWantsToBTL: Yeah, I dont know what to do..Markitplier: well buddy, ol pal nate, ur on ur own. gl."Markitplier is offine."I sighed angrily, spinning in my chair some more. I guess I really do have to live with it. Ugh.. Few Months LaterI sighed once again, making my way out of bed. I got out of my room, brushed my teeth, and settled onto my couch. "Weird. Even weirder, that weird guy isn't up.." I mumbled. I headed up the attic slowly, but somewhat fast-paced. You know that one, old as fuck saying.. what is it again? "Curiosity killed the cat." I'm like the cat, but I'm not dead, thankfully. My eyes widened as I examined the room before me. No sign of him. I walked over to his shitty 'bed,' and I see a post-it note. Wonder what it says. Oh well, don't care enough for it. Crumbling it up, I tossed it out the window. Thank god he left, don't know how much longer I could live with him. Let's hope this housekeeping thing won't bite me back hard.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

I walked streets and streets 'til I came upon a good, old, Freddy Fazbears. Brings a tear to my eye. I unlocked the backdoor by picking the lock. As I entered the office, I took in a surprisingly long breath, grabbed the fire estinguisher, and got to work. I sweeped the floor, wiped the walls, even cleaned the main stage. As night consumed the little daylight left, I panted, taking a mini break. I looked around. The place looked clean and solid, but I wasn't done yet. Not at all.I wiped my forehead, sweeping Pirates Cove, when I heard something. Apparently, it came from the backdoor. Yikes. What if it's the police? I'd be really screwed. Planning a quick escape route, I wielded some ax. I reopened many doors, as I came to the back.I opened the door to a.. Nate? "Well well well, this is exciting, is it not?" I sarcastically remarked. Nate laughed it off, but his face turned sour and asked, "Are you planning to reopen Fazbears, the most horrid place on Earth?" I simply chuckled, slamming the door. But as I did, Nate grabbed my arm, glaring at me with a cold, cold look. I've never seen this side of Nate, but it sure as hell gave me shivers. I sighed, wondering if I should do anything about it. I freed my arm quickly, as Nate stumbled back. He then looked at me with icy eyes, as if it was winter, and he was, what, possessed? C'mon, this isn't some fictional story. Right? I laughed out loud as a thought flew into my head. It's hilarious how much power I have over Fazbears Nightguards. After all, who wouldn't listen to Phone Guy?

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

After "borrowing" back my rightful flamethrower, I was pushed into an empty allyway. Defenses weary, I turned on my flamethrower, however, it was out of fuel. Really, Mark?As the fog cleared, I saw someone that looked an awful lot like Nate standing in front of me. Except he had blacked out eyeballs, and a white pupil. Creepy. Even purple streaks down his face, too. Or tears. Honestly, it's whatever you'd prefer. "Hello, Mad. Or Matt, what do you prefer?" The voice boomed. It took my a moment to figure out who this was, when it clicked. Ah yes, it's him. I looked back up, realizing it was none other than Mare."Got more control 'round these parts, so I figured I may as well. How's life going for you, mister?" Mare laughed."That suit doesn't ever grow old on you, does it?" "Not at all, really. Doesn't seem like your black hoodie collection ran out, either." I snickered, getting back at him. "Dawww, how kind of you." "I think you expected that, sir." "What's with the fancy names? You got some hots for me or shit?" "Negative." "I wouldn't mind," "The fuck?" "Though, you mind me working with you at Fazbears?" He pointed towards the worn down sign. "Positive, it'll be nice to work with a face I know all too well." "That's great. It'll remind me of the good, old, times." Shrill laughter filled the street, as purple dust appeared and disappeared.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

What is this dark place? Am I dead? This is weird. This has never happened before. Weird, weird, and weird.Just then, I saw a familiar face. It seemed to be staring at a bright screen."Uhm, hello?" I shakily asked.Their head turned towards me, revealing a face I knew all too well. It was Mad— but something stopped me from yelling that out. His face....hm. It looked like he hadn't slept in awhile. Along with bruises and scars of sorts. "I know what you're thinking right now. But hear me out. I'm Matthew, Matthew Patrick. The guy in control which I'm sure you hate with all your gut is MadPat. Or Mad, Matt, I don't know the shit he goes by these days." His tone changed quickly, from a soft and calm voice, to a disgust-filled tone. Then, he pointed to the screen. "Currently, I'm watching the outside world, yes I know, that's weird, through my eyes, and through this screen. It's magical, no?—" "Where the hell am I." I demanded angrily. "An infinite hell that has everything you need to survive until they stop controlling your rightful body." Matthew quickly replied, chuckling. I sighed, finding out I also had an identical chair, table, and TV like Matthew. It was also next to him, so it's convenient. I settled down, as the screen turned on. Huh. There, I saw Freddy fucking Fazbears. God, I hate that place. If you let me, I could rant about how unsafe it is. But y'know, don't have the time for that, do we now? Apparently, Mad was next to me in "real life." I wanted to yell, punch, and kick him, but I couldn't. All I could do was dreadfully watch.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

I'd wander around the endless room, amused by what it had. It was surreal to be truly honest. I couldn't wrap my head around it either. How did this make sense? It seriously didn't. Why would something be as cruel as this? I stared at the TV, awaiting a response. Presumably, the people were asleep. So that meant more 'being stuck with a mainiac' for me. I groaned, sitting back at the couch, not bothering to look at Matt. I'd have to wait this out, wouldn't I?
