The sounds of screams echoed off the walls. It was never ending these days. Carlo’s winced at the pain coming from the voice. “You okay, C?” Jay asked, concern in his eyes, as he gave Carlos a peck on the cheek. “Can we please focus? This is important. You lovebirds can flirt later, we have work to do.” Mal said impatiently. “Okay, so, Jay, which AK’s are coming with you?” Evie asked. “Umm, how about Chad and Chloe??” Jay suggested weakly. “Alright…” Evie said, writing down on a notepad. “I’ll take Allie and Ava.” Carlos said, wincing as the screams again resounded off the walls. “Okay, that sounds good.” Evie said distractedly, writing down again on her notepad. “Mal, you?” She asked, pen hovering above her paper. “Fine,” Mal said, rolling her eyes. “I’ll definitely take Ben, and I guess…Chip.” She sighed. Evie nodded, “Okay, now, who am I stuck with…?” Uma asked, nervous for the answer she was going to receive. “Lonnie and Li’ Shang.” Uma sighed. “I guess it could’ve been worse.” She glares at Harry. “Harry, you know you have to have some AK’s too.”“Fine, Captain. I’ll take Doug and his brother, Derek.” He shrugged. “I mean, they’re not bad, right?” Gill interrupts and says “I’ll take Jane!” Uma nods. “Evie, you getting this?” Evie nods. “Yes, Uma.” Dizzy raises her hand. “Um, Mal, who am I taking?” “How about Pin?” Mal suggested “Ok” Dizzy says excitedly. “Cecilia, who’s going with you?” Mal asked, twirling a string of hair on her finger. “How about Bashful and Shy?” Cecilia said. Evie sighed dramatically. “Well, I guess that leaves me with Audrey and Phillip Jr.” She sat down, defeated. “How did I get stuck with Audrey? I’m the one writing the list!” She threw her hands up for dramatic effect. Mal rolls her eyes impatiently. “Evie, just read the list, for Evil’s Sake.” Evie sighed. “Okay, fine. Anthony with Ariana Rose, Claudine with Herky, Clay with Tiger Peony, Diego with Arty, Gaston jr. and Gaston the 3rd with Gordon, Ginny Gothel with Sleepy jr., Harriet Hook with Arabella, Hadie with Li Shang jr., Mad Maddie with Bobby Hood, Rick Ratcliffe with Crabby, Sammy Smee with Hap and Cheerful, Jade with Sleepy, Yzla with Doc the Second, Lagan and Derelict with Gesundheit, Othello with Opal, Beelzebub with Tweedledee and Tweedledum, Hermiebing with Cindy, and Jace Badun with Carina Potts.” She took a breath. “Okay, I think that’s everyone.” Alive was the unspoken word in the room. Silence swept through the room as everyone remembered those who should have been on that list, before the war.
