Velvet opened the one of the many motel doors, holding a cup of coffee. Koko was on the bed, their poncho was dirty from all the travelling they typically did. Koko was a regular at the motel Velvet worked at, Velvet didn't quite understand why Koko always came back, they were always on the move. That wasn't relevant though, Velvet needed to actually do her job instead of wondering about an enigmatic person who she didn't understand much about."Koko?" Velvet crooned.Koko raised their head, their ears perking up."I have your coffee, I'll place it right here if you want it." Velvet added, taking a couple steps in, placing it on the TV stand."Thanks, Velvet." Koko mumbled, getting up to retrieve the coffee."Is there anything else I can do for you?" Velvet asked, her tail swayed slightly. Koko took off their poncho, and handed Velvet some change."Just wash this for now. Bring it back when it's done, please" Koko requested."Can do!" Velvet nodded, though she technically didn't have to do it, since it wasn't part of her job, she took the poncho and walked off.As Velvet was walking to the laundry room, she couldn't help but notice something was off, Koko was usually a bit more loud when she spoke, it wasn't usually just a murmur. Perhaps it was just a bad day, everyone has those. Though, she should probably check up on Koko at some point. She'd have an excuse to after all. wip.
