Liberally applying his oil based toner, Prince Lance picks up his gua sha stone and sets to work massaging the oil into his skin and humming a pleasant tune. He’d already been at his skin routine for a while, but really, could you blame him? It was a big night after all.Tonight, the royalty of Marmora were visiting Altea for a movement to reestablish their alliance and today was their arrival, followed by a welcome ball. Marmora was a faction of the Galra who split off from Daibazal after the war had begun and declared their opposition to the offending empire. That was 2 decades ago and after taking time to establish themselves as a sovereign people on a planet a couple solar systems away from Altea, they’re finally ready to become active participants in this war. According to Alfor, they would be major suppliers of information being a spy focused population. But of course, that’s not what Lance was excited for. Sure, tonight wasn’t really for fun. After all, his father had given Lance the task of schmoozing the guests and buttering them up for negotiations later. Lance had a knack for understanding people and had thus been trained in more casual diplomacy strategies. After all, people were a lot more amiable after a few drinks. No, what Lance was more excited for was the ever present possibility of meeting his soulmate. Every instance he met someone could be the one and Lance really wanted nothing more than to find them.Lance huffed and shook the thought from his head. He needed to focus, after all, he had a good feeling about tonight. Hearing his door open, Lance sighed. There was only one person who’d come into his room without knocking. “In here.” He called from his dressing room after hearing the confident steps stall in confusion.“Lance?” Allura poked her head past the door. She sighed and shook her head. “How did I know you wouldn’t be ready yet? Seriously, they're going to be here soon and the whole royal family needs to be there to meet them.” Placing her hands on her hips, Allura shook her head. Lance rolled his eyes, setting his gua sha down and rubbing the rest of the toner in. “I know that, ‘Llura, I’m almost done.” His sister walked up to his vanity and began scrutinizing his products. “You really use all this?” She quirked a brow as he picked up a pomade.Lance snatched it back, “Yes. Now, if you want me to be ready in time, you’ve gotta get out. I need total focus for my routine.” The prince crossed his arms and pouted at his elder sister.Allura shook her head and chuckled, heading toward the door. “Sure. But if you’re not ready by the end of the varga, I’ll drag you out regardless of your readiness.” Her laughter only increased as Lance chucked the pillow from his chair at her in an effort to make her leave faster. Hearing the door to his bedroom close, Lance huffed and continued on. He can’t believe her. Doesn’t she know it takes time to look this good? Resolving to take his sweet time (Within his varga time limit, of course. Lance knows his sister will make good on her word), Lance opens up his moisturizer and begins smoothing it into his skin. ~~~~Of course, their guests arrive earlier than expected and Lance ends up joining the welcome late. The prince shakes his head, quietly entering the lounge they had all settled into. Despite Lance’s attempt, all eyes turned to him as soon as he made his appearance. There were a mix of reactions to his entry; a teasing eyebrow lift from Allura, a concealed giggle from his mother, and a tired sigh from his father. Though, when Lance looked over to their guests, oddly enough just Queen Krolia and her advisor, their expressions were purely neutral. But Lance could swear he saw an amused twinkle in the queen’s eye. Lance entered the room properly and bowed to Queen Krolia, “My sincerest apologies for my tardiness.” He knew better than to offer an explanation for it so short, sweet, and to the point it was. The queen waved her hand in dismissal. “No need for apologies. After all, we arrived far earlier than we’d estimated.” Lance stood straight once more and nodded with a smile to her, not one to argue when he was being given an out, and moved to his seat on Allura’s right. After his father formally introduced him, the group continued their pleasantries. It was all very standard fare; ‘how was the trip?’, ‘we’re happy to have you’, blah blah blah. Lance listened as astutely as he could, adding his own comments here and there, but he couldn’t help his curiosity. “Where’s the Marmoran prince? I thought he was joining us as well?” He asked during a lull in the conversation. From the looks his family gave him, he’d have known if he’d been on time. But Queen Krolia took it in stride. “Keith’s resting. He’s not the most…” She took a moment to consider her words, “Sociable creature in the universe.” She chuckled, “He’ll be present for the ball tonight, I can assure you.” Though she aimed to reassure, it seemed almost like a threat toward the poor absent prince. He’d be at the ball, whether he liked it or not. A shiver ran up his spine at the sharp look in the woman’s eyes. But he shook it off and offered a diplomatic smile. “Well, in that case, I look forward to meeting him.” The conversation didn’t last much longer given the idle nature of it. It would seem Queen Krolia didn’t care much for pleasantries. Oh well, it just gave Lance more time to prepare himself for tonight. Lance made sure he dipped out before his father could scold him for his tardiness and beelined it back to his room. After all, tonight could be the night he met his soulmate! He had to look perfect.~~~~Keith hated every second of this, and he hadn’t even really made it to the ball yet. He sighed again, arm linked with his mother’s as they stood waiting to be announced to the room. They (Or at least Krolia) had intended to arrive earlier but their trip had taken more out of the prince than they’d expected and he had one hell of a time waking up. One saving grace to this all is that he was allowed to wear his blade uniform. It was actually encouraged as his mother and Kolivan were also wearing theirs. Keith had seen what some of the Alteans in attendance were wearing so he’d take small victories where he could. Feeling a squeeze to his bicep, he looked up to meet his mother’s eyes (Still a head shorter than the woman despite being a full grown adult). “Relax, Kit, you only have to stay for the banquet then about a varga after. Then you can slip off and do what you will.” Keith sometimes hated how well his mother knew him. Sighing and running a hand through his bangs, Keith looked ahead of them and saw they were almost up. “I know. I just hate these things.” Krolia nodded, “I know, but it’s an Altean tradition and we need to meet them where they are if we’re to begin our alliance amicably.” Keith nodded. He’d heard the speech dozens of times by now. But it didn’t make him like the reality even more. Regardless, he’d do anything for their cause, so he’d just grin and bear it. Soon, the two walked through lavish doors and stopped at the top of an ornate staircase overlooking a gorgeous ballroom. White marble flooring, high ceilings with murals painted onto them, gold trimmings around each ivory column, and powdery blue drapery adorning the walls. It was… A lot. Compared to the dark grays and blacks of Marmora’s castle, this place hurt Keith’s eyes. Then, he scanned the crowd. His eyes made it to the head table where the Altean royal family sat. King Alfor and Queen Melanor at the head, Princess Allura to King Alfor’s right, and a young man to Queen Melanor’s left. The man must be Prince Lance. He certainly looks like it based off of all the reading Keith had done on the royal family prior to this trip. Keith’s eyes caught on the prince. Even from this far he was beautiful. Gorgeous dark skin topped by the softest looking white curls Keith thinks he’s ever seen, his cheek marks were a dazzling blue that seemed to glow even from here, and he wore copious amounts of gold jewelry that made his skin look so warm. He couldn’t see his full outfit, but his shirt was a jewel toned blue with a high neck with golden trim on the top that rested just beneath his chin in a lovely swirl. Connected to the open shoulders were beautifully draped, sparkly, sheer blue strips of organza. He also had on arm pieces that clung to his forearms and cinched at each bicep that matched his shirt and were adorned with golden chains with blue gems inlaid throughout which just served to force Keith’s eyes to his delicate hands as he spoke with them. Upon their names being announced, the prince looked up at the duo and Keith could feel his whole world tilt. Zeroing in on the most captivating blue eyes he’s ever witnessed, Keith felt like the floor was falling from beneath him. Everything within him screamed at him to get over to him and he had no clue why.“-th… Keith!” HIs mother’s voice pulled him back into awareness and his eyes snapped to her’s. Her confused expression making him remember himself. The tug in his soul still remained, but he fought it back. “Sorry, I… I don’t know what that was.” Keith shook his head as he moved to take them through to their seats. Krolia glanced over in the direction Keith had been fixated on and seemed to come to a realization. Sitting in their designated spots, Keith -now more than ever- couldn’t wait for the banquet to be over. He had to know what that feeling was. He needed to speak with the Altean prince.~~~~It’s happening… It’s really happening! Lance found his soulmate! He was practically vibrating in his seat throughout their meal. It was a whole production so he knew there was no speeding it up, but he needed to get over to Marmora’s prince. Who knew that his soulmate was going to be Galra? It was definitely a shock, but no matter, he was just excited to get to know the man. Shorter than Queen Krolia, but certainly taller than himself if Lance remembered how he compared to the queen’s height correctly, with a serious resting face. The prince was certainly handsome. With his lilac complexion and face markings to match his mother. His build was also amazing and the fantasies Lance had already cooked up about what he could do with those muscles was certainly not helping him get through the banquet. He even wore a cute little ponytail, likely in an effort to appear more proper.Lance couldn’t stop staring and it definitely caught the attention of his mother who nudged him with a curious noise. Lance blushed darkly and shook his head, hoping she’d let it go. But the mischievous gleam in her eye when she looked between the two princes did not bode well for Lance. He’d just need to make sure he got away with the Galra before his mother could get a word in. As soon as he was able, Lance shot up from the table and made a beeline for Prince Keith, who also seemed to have the same idea. They stopped short just in front of each other and the world seemed to narrow down to just them once again. Lance was never usually the bashful type, but this was his soulmate for Oriande’s sake! So he found himself a little tongue tied, reaching up to rub at the back of his neck. “Um… Hi. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Prince Keith.” Keith seemed to find his footing as he was shaken from his own stupor. “Right, uh, you too. It’s nice to meet you… Prince Lance.” He glanced to the side, seemingly at war between being unable to make eye contact and being held captive in Lance’s gaze.“So, do you want to dance? With me?” Lance’s face heated up even more as he stumbled through his words. He swore he was smoother than this.“Ah, sure. I mean, I’m not much of a dancer but, I’m sure I can manage if it’s with you.” Lance was sure his face’s color rivaled his father’s lion at that point.“Great! I’m a great dancer, so you’re in good hands.” Lance grabbed Keith’s gloved hand and led him out onto the dance floor. The song being played was a smoother yet upbeat tune so it was easy to fall into a rhythm, and Keith was a surprisingly good dancer despite his earlier declaration. “So… You felt it too, right? When he made eye contact for the first time?” Lance bit his lip to quell his excitement.Keith looked to the side and nodded. “Yeah, I did. What was that? I’ve never felt that before.”“Of course you’ve never felt it before, you only have one soulmate after all. At least… As far as I’m aware.” Lance watched in curiosity as Keith’s expression changed through several different emotions before settling back into neutrality. Though the sparkle in his eye was not lost on Lance.“Soulmates, huh? I honestly thought that was just a myth, but I can deny this… feeling.” Keith grew bashful. He seemed more the strong silent type, so Lance guessed he was just having difficulty expressing his thoughts. “Yeah, it feels like nothing else, huh?” To be fair to the guy, for as verbose as Lance could be, he too was having trouble describing it. It felt like floating, only to be tethered to the man in his arms. Like his whole world had been gray before and now he was seeing a rainbow’s worth of color. It was almost too much. But, god, it felt right. Soon, the feeling of being alone in the crowd started to fade, and both men could feel the eyes on them. Keith began to grow a bit tense, hating being the center of attention, and Lance had an idea. Was it a wholly selfless idea? No. No it definitely wasn’t. But he was sure it’d be mutually beneficial. “Hey.” Lance cupped Keith’s jaw in his hand and brought his attention back from the crowd. Leaning up on his tiptoes so he was sure no one else would hear, Lance whispered hotly into the other prince’s fluffy ear. “What do you say we go somewhere a little more… Private? Get to know each other?” When he pulled back, a salacious grin sliding onto his face, Keith’s face had been taken over by a dark flush. “We don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to, but I think we’ll have an easier time of it out of the crowd, y’know?”Keith nodded dumbly, seemingly transfixed by Lance’s every movement. “Y-yeah, sure.” He cleared his throat, willing his nerves down. “Sounds good to me. Lead the way.” Lance felt like the cat who got the cream as he took one of Keith’s hands in his own and began to make his way out of the ballroom.~~~~This was crazy. Not five hours ago Keith was dreading this ball. And now? He was giggling like a child as the prince of this planet (His soulmate!) led him through the dark corridors of the castle. They ran together and it felt so right somehow. So right, he almost ignored his blade training. After all, who cares if there are would-be-murderers in the dark when he had someone as captivating as Lance to focus on? Luckily for the two men, there were no evil doers along their path and in no time, Lance was excitedly opening a tall ornate door into a large beautiful room. If Keith were being honest, we wasn’t really paying attention to the scenery, but what he could tell from his peripherals was that the room had a light color palette with whites and light blues reflecting the moon's light. It was lavishly decorated with a large four poster bed in the center and a couple doors off to the side. What Keith was really focused on, was the glowing man before him. Both literally and figuratively. He seemed to radiate elation and his cheek marks were glowing brightly to highlight the blue of his eyes. In no time, Lance had wrapped his arms round Keith’s neck, Keith wrapping his around Lance’s slim waist, and they came together in a passionate kiss. The kiss felt right in a way Keith would never be able to put into words. Warm, soft lips pressing insistently against his.Keith let his tongue press against the seam of Lance’s lips and, with a moan, the Altean prince let him in. Their tongues intertwined in a perfect dance, rubbing and swirling together. Soon enough, the two collapsed onto the bed, much to Keith’s surprise. When had they moved so far into the room? The fall broke their kiss and Lance scooted further up the bed, beckoning the Galra to follow. Lance reached the head of the bed first, settling into the pillows and reaching out to thread a hand into Keith’s soft hair as he closed in and settled in between those long legs. Lance was smiling, had been the whole time really, his eyes lidded as he looked over Keith. And despite being fully covered from the neck down, Keith felt utterly exposed under the other’s gaze. “You’re beautiful, you know that?” Lance finally muttered out, almost as if he was simply thinking aloud. Keith scoffed and shook his head, “I should be saying that to you. I would say ‘it’s like you’re from another planet’ but, well.” Lance snorted at that. An ugly sound never seemed so lovely coming from anyone else.Keith moved in, pressing a kiss into Lance’s lips before trailing kisses from his cheek, to his jaw, to the top of his neck. He huffed in annoyance, moving back to try and see how his shirt could be removed. Lance chuckled and smoothed out Keith’s furrowed brow. Reaching behind himself, he tugged on a hidden zipper in the back. Once all the way down, the prince removed his shirt and tossed it carelessly to the side. Keith was enraptured as Lance continued. Moving to his arm pieces, he slid them off one at a time and threw them in the same general direction as his shirt. Finally, as Lance went to start on his pants, Keith stopped him. He shook his head “Let me.” And began removing the garment. Soon, Lance was totally naked save for his circlet and earrings and Keith couldn’t help but to dip down and begin trailing kisses from where he left off. He left marks in his wake as he slowly made his way to the prince’s dusky nipples. Sucking one into his mouth yielded a gasp from above and a shiver running through the whole of the sinnous body beneath him. He reached a hand up to play with the other nipple before it seemed as though the other had had enough, “Keith, please! We can go another round after this and you can explore all you want then, but I need you, please.” The request was laced with need and it pulled a groan out of Keith as he sat up. Slowly, to put a show on for his lover, Keith removed his suit. It wasn’t too complicated and soon both men were naked and drinking the sight of each other in. “Top drawer.” Lance whispered, breaking Keith’s stupor. He looked into dazzling blue eyes with a questioning sound. Lance giggled breathily, “The lube.” He motioned with his head to Keith’s left. “It’s in the top drawer of my night stand.”“Oh.” The Galra said dumbly, pulling another giggle from the other. Shuffling to the side, he opened the drawer and rummaged through it. He didn’t really know Altean that well, but he knew lube when he saw it.Keith shuffled back between spread thighs, which only spread wider, and uncapped the lube. Coating his fingers liberally and retracting his claws, he reached toward Lance’s hole. It clenched in anticipation and Keith circled the bud before slowly sinking his index finger inside. Lance moaned long and low, relaxing further into the sheets. Keith bit his lip, torn between watching his finger disappear into his lover and looking up into his lust blown eyes. Lance wiggled in impatience, trying desperately to spear himself onto Keith’s fingers. In truth, Keith was getting impatient himself, his cock was so hard it was starting to hurt. But he didn’t want to hurt the other. After all, he was pretty big in comparison. After getting three fingers in, Lance seemed to have had enough and began pushing at the other’s wrist. “Keith, I’m ready, please.” “I don’t want to hurt you.” Keith shook his head.Lance huffed in annoyance, “I can shapeshift if I need to. Please, just fuck me already!” With that, the last of Keith’s patience dissolved. He squeezed more lube onto his hand and quickly spread it over his dick before lining himself up. “God, I’m gunna have so much fun making you beg for my cock on our next round.” Keith growled out, making his lover shiver and moan out before he began sinking in. They both moaned loudly in unison as Keith’s fat head popped past the rim, and neither’s moans tapered out as he sunk further in. It seemed both instantaneous and eternally drawn out, but eventually, Keith was fully seated inside Lance. Giving them both a second to adjust to the feeling of being together so fully, Keith then began to thrust in and out. He started slow and shallow, leaning down on his arms and burying his face in the crook of Lance’s neck. “Fuck, Keith, yes.” Lance hissed out, “You feel so fucking good. You’re filling me so well.”Keith shuddered at the praise and he picked up his thrusts in response. Soon, he couldn’t help but to pound into the man below him, chasing his pleasure as the soft heat surrounded him. From the way Lance gripped at his shoulders and wailed in ecstasy, Keith figured this was what they both wanted. It didn’t take long before Keith could feel his release creeping up on him, so he reached a hand down to take Lance’s cock and begin pumping it with his own erratic rhythm. The Altean Prince’s back arched and he whined at the stimulation. Soon enough, his cum was coating Keith’s hand and his own chest. The way Lance’s hole fluttered with his release was too much for Keith and he swiftly followed, filling the prince with his own seed and biting into his shoulder with a groan. After coming down from their shared high, Keith pulled out and plopped onto the overly soft bed and looked into half lidded blue eyes. Lance smiled softly, moving a hand to cup Keith’s jaw tenderly. “I’m so glad I finally found you.” Keith’s heart swelled as he nuzzled into Lance’s palm. “Me too.”
