The harsh pitter patter of the rain against the window fell on deaf ears as you stared deep off into the horizon within Erwin's eyes. Your hand tucked safely into his, and his other resting comfortably on the small of your back — he sways you. A longing look in his gaze. So piercing and vibrant amidst the cold darkness of the room. No words were exchanged between the two of you. Not that you needed much to begin with. Just safely in the arms of your lover in the darkness of the late night. Forgetting about all your ambitions, hopes, and worries for the future. The burdens of yesterday, and the anxieties for tomorrow. Silent and moving rhythmically to a melody seemingly only heard by the two of you. And as those deep cerulean pools stared back at you, you couldn't help but be mesmerized by that silent melody — drowning in the rain. His hues narrowed ever so slightly, as you held back a soft chuckle and let him twirl you around and hold you.
And nothing more needed to be said, as you continued to sway to that cerulean melody.
