“Just one more?” Dennis asked, a pout forming on his pink lips.I smiled tenderly at the red head who occupied my lap. He was still dressed flashy, but toned down since we were currently having a much needed day in. His visor was nowhere to be seen, letting me take in his eyes.“I’m feeling a pattern here,” I joked, leaning down and planting another kiss on his awaiting lips.His lips curled into a bright smile revealing his tooth gap, his eyes shining with adoration, “I can’t help myself when it comes to you, my muse.”I rolled my eyes, trying to ignore how my heart raced faster. I brushed my hand through his hair once more and he snuggled closer like a content cat. He was such a smooth talker, but the pink that tinted his cheeks showed just how much I affected him. I trailed my fingers along his cheek, and he nuzzled into my touch.It was amusing. Dennis tried to be a big baddie out on the streets of Gotham. Although I’m not sure how seriously anyone took him due to his ability. Singing and making others sing to do your bidding was quite amusing. Even so, he acted tough out in front of Batman. Not just act, he is tough. Yet here he was, like pudding under my touch as he begged for ‘just one more kiss’.I longed for moments like these. I felt like I’d never be satiated of this affection. Whether it was giving or receiving, I’d always long for more. It hurt to watch him go, because I would never know the next time I’d see him. I never knew if I’d watch him get dragged to Arkham on the news, or if he’d show up bloodied and bruised. Those moments always brought reality to the forefront. This won’t last forever. So I’ll cherish the moments I get, peppering as many kisses as I can until the next time.“One more?” Dennis asked, love and longing filling his entire being.“And however more after,” I muttered, giving into his wish.
