Imagine a place where time stands still, where the air is pure, and the sky is a brilliant shade of blue. Picture a city perched high in the clouds, with streets bustling with people of all shapes and sizes, each one adorned in the most beautiful garments imaginable. From every direction, graceful angels fly by, their wings spread wide as they flit from one place to another. This is heaven, a place of pure bliss and eternal peace. Here, the worries and stresses of life on Earth are left far behind, replaced by a sense of calm and serenity that permeates everything. No more pollution, no more violence, no more pain. And for those who lived a good life, a life of kindness and generosity, there is no greater reward than the chance to spend eternity in this heavenly paradise. But someone had to run the place. Razari was tasked with an eternal workload. Having been born in heaven, life had become a monotone and repetitive routine for her. Every day seemed to blend into the next, with no excitement or variation to break the tedium. unlike when she was first created, when the world was forever expanding and brand new. she along with the others had been a silent observer of the universe’s creation, marveling at the infinite possibilities that seemed to unfold before her. She had watched with fascination as the galaxies, stars, and planets came into existence, each one unique and wondrous in its own way. But among all of these, it was the little blue planet that god seemed to pour all of her attention on. Razari had watched as two humans, Adam and Lililth, were created. Placed in a beautiful garden known as Eden. The garden was their home, a paradise where they lived in harmony with each other and the natural world around them. she watched in foolish delight as they explored their surroundings, discovering new things and learning about the world they lived in. However, this idyllic existence was not to last. Lucifer’s love for Lilith brought evil into the world, shattering Adam and Eve’s peaceful existence and leading to their banishment from paradise. She would have ripped the man’s wings off herself that day. However, it seems the “higher-ups” found the act too cruel. instead, banishing the man and his wife to the deepest pits of the universe, where they threw all the destructive evil human souls. the bitch created his own stupid little kingdom. A lawless land where sex and murder thrived, and now it was their problem to constantly. fix. his. mistakes. today, for the first time in history. Lucifer’s daughter was getting a tour of heaven, and Emily and Razari’s job was to guide her. Show her the “sights,” whatever the fuck that meant. Razari had thought she made it clear that she had far more important work to do than babysitting. She agreed to accompany them on their little outing at Sera’s personal request. The woman had expressed concern about the demon that was going to be present and wanted her to keep an eye on things to make sure everything went smoothly. She scoffed at the thought, The situation at hand was a direct result of Adam and his team of overzealous exterminators, who were always eager to flex their power by pushing the boundaries of extermination. Despite their “best intentions”, their careless actions only made things worse, the situation reached a critical point that demanded immediate attention, despite the reluctance of everyone to face it. so, they threw it into her hands to take care of. Instead of helping her fix his mistakes, Adam took to the streets, eating food and hooking up with as many women as he could to sedate his own stupid insecurities. Who would have thought that after Adam lost both of his wives to Lucifer, he would end up becoming a useless wort of a man. Razari was honestly surprised he was still allowed in heaven, as his “activities” seemed far too gruesome for living in an eternal paradise. It seems God did choose favorites. She hurriedly gathered items to put in her purse, including her wallet, makeup bag, a box of band-aids, and some snacks for herself and Emily. Once she was finished, she slung the strap of her purse over her shoulder and rushed towards the door. However, something caught her eye. It was a pristine white sniper rifle mounted on her wall, glinting in the light. This was no ordinary weapon - it was a holy relic coveted by demons who would stop at nothing to get their hands on it. She had been bestowed this weapon by their god herself, giving her the job to help protect humanity from evil after Lucifer made it clear that he was going to continue perusing his lofty dreams for a kingdom free of heavens grasps. Razari couldn’t resist admiring the gun’s craftsmanship and the intricate details etched into its surface. She had half a mind to take it with her, but then quickly thought better of it. She remembered that Emily, the saint she is, would not be too pleased if she brought a whole gun along with her, especially given that they were only going to the zoo. With a heavy heart, she dragged her gaze away from the weapon and Continued on her way, she opened her balcony doors. The sky was just as blue as it had been yesterday and the day before. Lord above, she wished the weather could change. her set of wings unfurled behind her, revealing four pale blue feathery appendages that were so large they couldn’t help but bump into every object they could find. She took a deep breath, steadied herself, and with one good flap, she was up and airborne, leaving behind a trail of dust. As she flew beyond the cherubs and angels, soared through the air, a wave of adrenaline washed over her. The wind was blowing forcefully, causing her hair to whip around her face and her cheeks to tingle from the chill. She closed her eyes and felt a momentary rush of dopamine as she leaned into the gust, relishing the feeling of freedom and weightlessness. Flying was the one thing that brought her a sense of peace in this eternal doomscape, where the repetitive nothingness of her job couldn’t find her. She could forget about the world below and just lose herself in the freedom of the skies. It was a feeling like no other, and one that she cherished above all else. The zoo is nestled in the heart of the bustling city, just a stone’s throw away from the lively town square, brimming with tourists, locals and vendors. The shopping district is a vibrant hub of activity, with colorful storefronts and the irresistible aroma of freshly-baked goods wafting through the air. However, whoever built the large homes for the Seraphim seemed to have deemed living close to town unnecessary. These homes are located far away and high up in the clouds, nowhere near Razari’s destination. As she thinks about it, it becomes clear why the weather here never changes - humans always seemed to be fond of the sun. Perhaps this was why they seemed so adamant about making global warming as big of a problem as they could - humans love that burning inferno so much that they want it to shine all the time. Greed seems to be inherent in humans, and perhaps they didn’t fully consider the consequences of their actions. Regardless, flying to and from her house has become much simpler as the weather remains unchanged. Razari didn’t even want to think of what it would be like flying through harsh weather conditions like snow. She rounded a corner and was happy to see the entrance of the zoo Infront of her, she dipped down into a glide and lowered herself to the floor. Other angels and cherubs moved out of the way, some waved or dipped their heads respectfully as she walked over towards their planned meeting spot. It was a beautiful zoo, if she ignored the millions of times Shes been dragged over here on her days off, she would have been in awe. The shiny white pillars holding up the ceiling of the ticket booth, pristine linoleum with carvings of all the Seraphim. (Razari hated how she looked in her pillar, they never seemed to get her face shape right.) she was snapped out of her stuper when she heard a familir voice coming her way. “And over here is the zoo! Oh im so exited for you too see all the animals!” The voice that spoke was filled with liveliness and energy, as if it were bubbling with excitement. Ah Emily. Razari couldnt help but love the girl, she may have been a replacment for Lucifer but she had grown on them over the years. the familiar small angel turned her head, bright blue eyes lighting up as she spotted the fellow Seraphim. her dress swayed as she practically ran up to Razari. As Emily walked ahead, she noticed a figure trailing behind her. Upon closer inspection, she realized that it was a woman with a strangely familiar face. The woman had the same pale white skin, pink cheeks, and golden locks that she had come to detest. It was none other than the princess of hell, Lucifer’s daughter, who was exploring the sights of heaven with great enthusiasm. Razari couldn’t help but grimace as she locked eyes with her. The woman’s appearance was a spitting image of her father’s, which only added to Razari’s discomfort. And Lord above, she wanted nothing more than to crush that familiar face into the ground, destroying anything and everything that held the smallest trace of similarity to that devil of a man. “Razari! this is Charlie.” Emily motioned to the woman behind her with a smile on her face. one that Charlie seemed to mirror as she stuck her hand out.“Hello there! It’s great to finally meet you! Emily was telling me about you while we were on our way here,” Charlie exclaimed with infectious enthusiasm, almost hopping on her feet with excitement. However, when Charlie noticed that Razari didn’t seem interested in shaking her hand, her eyes flashed with disappointment, and she lowered her arm. “All good things, I hope.” Razari’s voice was laced with barely contained disinterest as she uttered her words. Her lack of fondness for the girl was starkly visible in her demeanor, unlike Sera and Emily, who were trying to put up a façade of friendliness. Razari’s disdain for the girl was palpable, she had no intention of hiding it for why should she? She had one simple objective for the night - ensure that Charlie wouldn’t make any suspicious advances while she was in paradise. and so far, everything was going great.---The zoo was just as uneventful as it always had been. It was a vast expanse of dullness with animals pacing back and forth in their large fancy enclosures. She couldn’t help but stifle a yawn as she walked behind the two younger girls. As they walked through the zoo, Charlie’s eyes were filled with sheer delight, and her excitement seemed to grow with each passing moment. She would stop at every animal cage with an eagerness that was contagious. Emily was equally captivated by the animals, and the two of them seemed to be in their own little world of joy and wonder. Their energy was simply contagious, spreading like wildfire and lighting up the room with excitement. and it felt as though the animals themselves were just as delighted to have such adoring visitors. The air was filled with the sweet sound of their girlish giggles and broad smiles, as their excitement radiated out from them, enveloping everyone surrounding them. They were currently standing Infront of the panda enclosure, Charlie was so engrossed in looking at the adorable black and white creatures to notice that Emily had moved back towards Razari. “I know that you don’t like Charlie, but you don’t have to glare at her like that,” Emily said, smiling a bit and furrowing her eyebrows in amusement. “She’s not that bad, you know.” Razari let out a deep sigh as she gazed at Charlie. “It’s not that I hate her, it’s just...” she whispered back, her voice sounding wary. The demoness looked so much like her father that it was almost uncanny. A part of her wished she could ignore the similarities, but she couldn’t. Charlie’s ideals and aspirations were so similar to those of her father’s, it was almost as if he had been reborn in her. Her ideas to rehabilitate sinners were lofty and unheard of, and while Razari admired her determination and passion, she couldn’t help but feel a pang of unease. She had seen first hand the power of imagination, watched how it tore people apart. “She’s just a lot, that’s all.” It wasn’t the whole truth, but Emily didn’t seem to notice. She was happy that she seemed to have changed Razaris mind and went back to Charlie. They moved on from the Pandas and headed back towards the entrance, the walk was quiet compared to a few hours previously. As Emily turned around, she shot a quick glance at Razari, silently urging her to take the lead and start the conversation. She obliged with a grimace, walking beside Charlie and cleared her throat. “So, you run a hotel, right?” she said abruptly. It wasn’t the most graceful of starts, but Charlie seemed to perk up at the change in topic, wearing the largest grin. “Yes! Hazbin Hotel is a passion project to rehabilitate sinners!” Charlie said cheerfully. She was talking incessantly about the hotel she and her girlfriend, Vaggie, had been working on for the past year. Razari tried her best to keep up with what the princess was saying. As the conversation dragged on, it became increasingly difficult for Razari to follow along. Despite their best efforts to stay engaged, Charlie’s rambling monologue soon proved to be too much to handle. Eventually, Razari found herself nodding every couple minutes, pretending to be deeply engaged in the conversation when truly she had lost interest 20 minutes ago. She tuned back in when Charlie finally turned back towards her. “Do you think it’s possible?” Razari’s hand reached out and rested gently on Charlie’s shoulder, hoping to provide some comfort. Although she didn’t share the same level of optimism about the Sinners as Charlie did, a quick glance at Emily’s approving gesture was enough to convince Razari to let out a sigh. “I have to admit,” she said, “your idea is quite... remarkable.” Charlie felt a surge of happiness as she saw the approval in the other person's eyes. A tired smile played on her lips as she looked down at the floor. "I'm glad you think it's a good idea," she said with a breathy laugh. "I just hope everyone else feels the same way."
