"Please god- I just want you to blow my fucking brains out." Troy choked the sentence through drunken sobs as his boyfriend, Thomas, stares down the shotgun. His expression unreadable and distant, looking down as if carved from stone. "Put a fucking bullet in my head! Put me down like a dog!" Thomas swallows hard. "...You don't want this..-" He starts, but Troy cuts him off before he can continue; "I know what I want and I want you to fucking kill me!" Troy put his shaking hands on the barrel, pulling it towards his forehead. "Pull the fucking trigger Thomas." Thomas swallows the bile creeping up his throat, keeping as still as possible to keep his hands from shaking and accidentally pulling the trigger. How did he even get here? He had only wanted to hunt with his boyfriend, possibly leading to fooling around afterwards in their cabin he had rented if they didn't get to catch anything. Now it's almost 12, the bright full moon reflecting off of Troy's foggy glasses. His partner's once beautiful face was now twisted into a frustrated grimace, stained with hot tears. Thomas looks up and away, his own tears threatening to fall from his eyes. "Look at me dammit!" Troy cried out to him, but Thomas ignored him. After a long moment, he attempted to pull the gun away from its position, but it was held firmly in place by Troy, his hands still shaking. "You've had too many drinks Troy.." Thomas started, wanting to say more; but he knew he wouldn't be able to convince this stubborn man that he loved so dearly. That was one of the reasons why he loved him; he never knew when to quit. Troy always had a certain spirit to him that Thomas couldn't help but admire. Now all he wished was that Troy was more easily convinced. He desperately wanted to get out of the cold.He refused to pull the trigger all night despite his partner's persistence. Just as day started to break, Thomas was growing tired. Troy saw his opportunity and took it immediately. He quickly shoved the butt of the gun into Thomas's face, knocking him to the ground with a bloody nose. Thomas shouted something, but Troy didn't care. He only wanted relief. It had nothing to do with Thomas; he was the most amazing partner, showing his love in the best ways possible. Troy took a long, deep sigh and held the barrel of the gun to his chin and pulled the trigger. With an explosion of pain and quick darkness, Troy had blown his face open.Thomas wailed and held the bloody pulp of a body close to him. His beloved lay strewn out on the wet forest floor, his brain matter and blood decorating the trees like the worst Christmas party ever.
