Kieran was never the type to comment on the small things he found weird that other people did as he was one to also have a lot of weird ways and habits, but this one thing that his lover did would always make him annoyed and roll his eyes. His lover, as much as he tried not to, would constantly bite his nails, no matter how much he tried telling him off or kept doing his nails thinking he won't ruin the perfectly painted nails he had curated for him, it never worked since as soon as the taller man started feeling nervous he would resort to either picking or biting at his nails. Kieran was no one to judge him as he knew how hard it is to stop doing it as he was someone who did it himself and has a best friend that currently does it too but he still can't help seeing his lover ruin his perfect hands and pretty nails. So every time he'd catch his lover bring his hand close to his mouth, he resort to slapping said hand away before grabbing it, his hand in his lover's own so that he wouldn't try going for it again. His lover would always tease him for doing such a thing, especially while in public, but Kieran didn't care, he'd stand any kind of teasing or ugly stares in public as long as it helped his lover take care of himself. Kieran loved taking care of his lover in any way he could, it just made him happy anytime he could do something for the other he would whether that be brushing his hair, helping his choose with jacket went better with his style or, the thing the two of them liked most, doing his nails. Kieran sat on the bed with his legs crossed, nail polishes scattered all around him as he held his lover's hand carefully, scoffing as he saw the uneven edge of his is lover's nails, knowing damn well that his lover had been biting them all day to have them be like this. He grabbed a nail file and carefully files his lover's nail down to have a more even edge while trying not to make them too short, not leaving them too long either as they might be inconvenient to the other. "Y'know next time I see you biting your nails, I'll just resort to punching you straight in face" "If I could stop myself from doing it you know I would, just can't help it sometimes" Koi fish said as he nervously scratched the back of his head after seeing his lover's blank s tare after such a clear threat, making him feel like it was less of a joke and more of a statement of things to come. Kieran put the nail file down and brought the other's hand close to his face, leaving soft kisses all over his lover's knuckles before moving the hand to have it's palm against his cheek, rubbing against the soft skin gently as he grabbed the other hand and proceeding to kiss it the same way he did the first one. At this, Koi fish didn't know whether to think his lover was being a weirdo again or to start blushing madly, obviously going for the latter as he felt his face turn bright red, ripping one of his hands away from his lover to poorly cover the red on his cheeks. "I know you can't help it that's why I try to stop you, but even if I can't I'm always here to paint your nails all pretty again ♡" Kieran gave the other a soft smile before letting go of his hands. It was nothing new for Kieran to say such corny and heart-felt stuff but it would always surprise Koi fish just how casually sweet he would make these moments, like it was the most normal thing for him to do before carrying on to whatever he was doing previously, in this case, going to paint his lover's nails. "Do you want an accent nail or a whole new color on the hand?" "However you have them" "Aw you wanna match with me? Then let's do your index blue since mine is orange so that we have complementary colors, I'll do the rest all black" Kieran happily painted the other's nails to match his as the two of them chatted about whatever came to their mind at the time, Kieran putting something on his phone to have as background noise as he said that 'it was too quite' even while they talked. Koi fish was already used to his lover saying such weird things but if it didn't bother him then why stop him. With a bright smile, his lover moved away from his hands, letting go so he could see what he had done to his nails, a few mess ups which made some nail polish smudge on his skin, but aside from that, they looked perfect. Koi fish couldn't stop looking at how shiny the nail polish was and how it made him feel prettier, feeding into his lover's ego the more he stared. Kieran's dumb smile quickly faded from his lips as his lover moved closer to him, careful to not mess up the other's pain job as he pressed his lips against his lover's own, a gentle display of his appreciation for his lover taking care of him before he moved away, leaving his lover a bright red mess, but not for long. "Now for the most important part of this... taking pictures!" Kieran smiled as he pulled up his phones once more. He sat beside his lover, shoulder to shoulder as he grabbed the other's hand, intertwining their fingers once more before taking picture after picture after picture until he felt satisfied. Kieran moved to sit on his lover's lap, checking out all the photos he took while his lover had his arms wrapped around him, occasionally pressing kisses against the other's face and neck, sometimes moving down to his shoulder. The two of them just sat there for the rest of the evening, chatting and cuddling as they slowly moved from sitting to laying down, then crawling under the bed sheets and watching a movie together then going to make dinner, despite Koi fish telling his lover they should just stay in bed and order something but if Kieran had spent time spoiling his lover by doing his nails then making food was nothing. Koi fish still couldn't stop staring at the pretty nails his lover had painted for him even while they were going to bed, leaving him happy as he went to close his eyes and wrap his arms around his lover, kissing him over and over again until he fell asleep.
