A Nest For Two ~~You're ears twitch with the sound of a door opening and shutting with a click. You debate removing yourself from the warmth surrounding you but change you're mind as the clack of claws draws close. Shifting to you're knees and crawling towards the edge of the nest you bring you're wings out exposing the base of them to Balam with you're head twisted up in a gentle smile, "Welcome home." He doesn't mention the crack in you're words or the sleepy tones that meet his ears. Instead he returns your smile with one of his own and replies in a soft baritone, "I'm home." At that you put your wings away as he shifts, careful how he enters the nest put together just for you. Falling to his knees and then settling on his side Balam gently pulls you away from the edge, tucking you against his front. You hear a rustle of fabric as a warm feathered wing covers your middle. Bringing a hand up you pet the dark forest green feathers and whisper, "I love you."A deep hum is his response as Balam curls around you (you could swear his want to cuddle was catlike in nature despite his avian features). "I love you too", comes warm against your hair (you smile to yourself knowing he took his mask off without you having to convince him of your acceptance) and something heats in your gut. But nows not the time and you two slowly drift to sleep in the warmth you provide each other.
