He remembered
falling.
He remembered something about orders.  He remembered feeling fear. And sorrow. And was it love?  Was it searching?  Other than that, he couldn't remember anything.  Waking up in an alleyway, in a city he didn't recognize and no idea how he got there.  Head was fuzzy, and spinning.  Why was it spinning?  Was it from his fall? Did he fall from someplace high?  A building perhaps, or something higher.  He couldn't see. At least, not completely. Along with his head his vison was also fuzzy, not sharp and focused like he felt like it should be. A visor on his helmet seemed to help.  Why was he wearing a helmet? Why did he need it in the first place?  On his head it felt like some sort of familiar comfort, like he wore it often. Why did he wear it often? Did he have a habit of falling? Did he live life in some sort of extreme?  Maybe he should get out of the alleyway he was laying in and see if the surrounding city had anything to jog his memory. It made the most sense. Maybe he could see from where he had fallen.  He hadn't had his full bearings yet by the way he stumbled. Hopefully it wasn't long long-term.  By the way he tripped and landed in some sort of booth, effectively breaking it and possibly whatever products he landed on, he wasn't exactly filled with hope.  "S..sorry." He muttered softly.  "You!" He heard a voice, probably the shopkeep, yell angrily at him. "You ruined my booth! Destroyed my merchandise! I should have you arrested for disturbing the peace and the damage you've done! Keeping me from money!"  "I assure you I mean no harm! It wasn't on purpose!" He said weakly as he struggled to get up. He felt two rough pairs of arms lift him up suddenly.  "You're coming with us, disturber of the peace." A voice said roughly as he was tossed into the back of something. He heard the angry voice from the booth still going on complaining of lost sales and maybe even suing. He felt somewhat glad when whatever he was in started moving.  Light was coming in through what seemed to be bars at the front. He saw two figures outside it.  "Where are you taking me?" he asked them, trying to keep his balance.  "Prison, duh. Where do you think disturbers of the peace go?" One of the figures responded. "Now keep quiet."  "It was merely a question." he stated, sitting on a slab connected to the side. At least there was no one in there with him.  It didn't take long to reach their destination or for him to be tossed unceremoniously into a cell. Hearing the bars clank behind him from where he was skewed on the ground brought no comfort either.  "Sooo, whatcha in for?" A voice came from the side.  It sounded...familiar. But more organic? Less..roboticky, in a sense.  "What?" he asked.  "You. In here. What for?" The voice from the side asked again, flat yet somewhat amused. "Or are you just here to see the sights?"  "I've been labeled a "Disturber of the Peace", he said, finding a seat on a bench on the wall. "But I assure you it was not on purpose."  "That's what they all say." The voice chuckled. He couldn't quite make out distinguishable features about the figure, but he could almost make out his cellmate was..lounging? Unless one leg was shorter than the other and grew differently, he could assume the person was sitting cross-legged.  "What about you?" He decided to ask. " What are you here for?"  The figure made what looked like a shrugging motion. "Just have one of those faces, ya know?"  "I..see." he said, feeling something familiar inside. Did he know someone with 'one of those faces'? Did he have one? He felt his leg begin to bounce as he rested his elbows on his knees. Was he put in a prison cell before?  "Hey, dude? I can hear your gears turning from over here. If you're nervous or full of energy or whatever, don't worry. Prisonbreaks happen here alll the time."  "Really?" he asked, leg bouncing slightly less. "Then the police and prison system here must be severely lax or lacking."  "Oh you have no idea." His cellmate sounded almost amused again. "They're incompetent with a capital 'in'"  "I don't believe that's how the word is-" He was cut off by a face suddenly shoving itself in front of his visor. It was green, with a blue band around it covering red marks. Even with his limited vision he could see the eyes searching him.  "What do you have under the helmet anyway? How bad do you need it?"  "I would advise you to not-" he struggled against the other figure, trying to keep his helmet on his head while the other was tugging it off. He still hadn't had his full strength back yet so the stranger won, pulling the helmet off with a voice of triumph. He then saw the stranger stiffen.  "You're a human!" The figure exclaimed.  "Astute observation." he squinted up at him, trying to see more of who had his helmet and his reaction. "And I'm assuming you are not?"  "Uhm.." the figure said. He rolled his eyes at the nonresponse and held out his hand to take the helmet back.  "My eyesight is severely limited and there is only so much that I can see before details are lost and the sharpness of objects in front of me are greatly diminished to the point that I cannot see them fully and cause great detriment to myself and those around me. The visor on my helmet isn't perfect but does bring some things into a better focus."  "Geeze dude. Just say it's prescription." his cellmate mumbled as he handed it back. He gratefully accepted it, glad to have the visor somewhat help as it was once again before his eyes.  "So I take it humans aren't a common occurrence in this area." he turned to the stranger, getting a slightly better look.   "No, and now I'm wondering how you got here." His cellmate said.  "I would like to know that too. Although, something is telling me we may need to get out of here first to find any answers."  "Not to worry, mis amigo! Thankfully the guards in this place don't know I can do This!"  "Can do wha-" he was cut off by a quick movement and a sudden burst of blue-ish light.  "Cool, right?" came a smug sounding reply. "Now let's go!"  "I don't even know what-" he was once again cut off as he was partially shoved partially thrown into the blue light and stumbling surprisingly on solid ground.   "Voila! Prison escape, no muss style." said his once-cellmate, stepping out of the light and now seeming to be holding something and resting it on his shoulder. "Soo...what'd ya think?" "I-"  "Leo!" He was once again cut off for the third time, this time by a new voice that was getting closer. "Where were you, brother? We've been looking for you this entire time!"  "Don't worry about it, everything's fine!" His once-cellmate responded lackadaisically. "Just ran into a little bit of trouble, no biggie."  So this other person's name was 'Leo'. Something stirred in his mind, the name somehow fitting with that voice yet still being..not quite right.  -O. Lee-O. T..-0?  The other person who called out to Leo approached them along with two other figures. "And what kinda trouble are we talking about?" This figure was big and gave off an air of intimidation. Knuckles were heard cracking, no doubt trying to intimidate him as he stepped almost too close in his personal space.  Leo quickly put an arm around him and pulled him close. "I said not to worry, Hermano. Just got a little caught up with the Hidden City police and this guy got thrown in with me for no good reason so I thought I'd help him out. Isn't that right, buddy?"  "Right." He said, shrugging Leo's arm off. "That is what happened."  Wait. So this place was called "the Hidden City"? What was it hiding from? Were they in danger?  "Oh. I see." The big figure said, giving him a little more room. "Really sorry about that." voice becoming somewhat apologetic and softer.  "Once again a complete and total stranger gets caught up in one of Leo's schemes. This can only end well." One of the other figures spoke up, sounding unimpressed and receiving a shocked "Donnie!" from the bigger figure.   "What. I said it could only end 'well'." Tapping electronic noises were heard. "If our brother wants to ally himself with a stranger he just met and we know nothing about that's up to him. It's not like we were searching hours for his whereabouts trying to find him."  "I'm really sorry about them." The third figure appeared by his side, voice soft and gentle. "Donnie and Raph were just really worried so don't let them get to you. If you were able to help Leo with the police we probably owe you since it can get pretty nuts out here. How about we take you someplace safe? We can walk you home if you want!"  "Yeah, where is your home?" Leo asked. "How'd you even get here?"  "Feeling all eyes on him, he struggled for an answer.  Did he have a home? Certainly he must have had someplace.  "Uh, guys? Why are we asking a total stranger about where he lives?" 'Donnie' asked, seeming to take the voice of reason.  "Because of ..THIS!" Leo suddenly grabbed off his helmet, once again knocking him off balance. He grabbed his head as he tried to steady himself.  "A human!" "What's a human doing here?!" "How many humans live in the Hidden City?"  "I am assuming my being here is quite a cause for concern in this city, especially if my species is an anomaly." he said, voice a bit strained as he tried to look up at the others. "And if I am to be honest, I do not remember how I came to this "Hidden City", and not much else before that."  "You can't remember..anything?" He felt a hand gently touch his arm. "Your family, your home, anything?"  "What about your name? Do you remember that?" 'Raph' asked, sounding full of worry.   He shook his head. "I'm sorry, but I do not."  "Then until you remember, you're staying with us!" Leo stated definitively. "These streets aren't safe unless you have someone like us watching your back." He handed back his helmet.  "And have another instance of Bullhop. Hoo. Ray." 'Donnie' said.  "This won't be like that at all." Leo sounded confident as another burst of blue light appeared. "Now lessgo!"  "Perhaps it would be best if I just-" once again, his thought was uncompleted as he was shoved into whatever the blue light was.  He really hoped this wouldn't become a habit with his new companions.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

He couldn't tell where the blue light took him this time, but then again, he didn't know where it took him the first time Leo shoved him through without explanation. He could tell it took them someplace outside, maybe someplace like the alleyway he found himself when he first awoke, or at least an area with low foot traffic. This time, however, as they walked along a dimly lit path, seemed to be underground. Smell wasn't exactly pleasant, but the sound of constant water flowing sounded familiar, and in a strange sense, comforting. The dripping noises every now and again didn't exactly add to the experience but did help him piece things together.  "Are we in a sewer?" He asked his much his much shorter companion walking next to him. He could hear his other companions talking amongst themselves, probably about him.  "Hm? Oh, yeah!" Said the much smaller figure. "This way gets us home sweet home, baby!"  "I see." He said, rubbing the chin part of his helmet.   "What, you got something against sewers?" 'Donnie' snapped apprehensively from in front of him.  "No, not at all. Sewers are very important for civilized life and are a major part of sanitation and adequate water supply in areas that would otherwise not have them. And," he glanced to the side, trying to find his thoughts, "The sound of water around me seems quite..familiar."  "Really?!" His shorter companion excitedly perked up. "You must have remembered something! You're probably from or been around a place with lots of water!"  "TAHITI!" 'Donnie' exclaimed suddenly. "Oh, Tahiti this time of year is fabulous! We can drop this guy off and enjoy a little vacation while we're at it-"  "Donnie, we can't just drop people off in places that sound nice just to hang out and have vacations in. We don't even know he's even from Tahiti, did you take a good look at him?" Leo cut 'Donnie' off, almost scolding him.  "You would totally do that though." 'Donnie' mumbled. "And I don't judge. Why would I stereotype what a Tahitian guy looks like. I'm just saying he could be from there. And Tahiti's amazing. And I wanna go."  "Noted." Leo said. He and 'Donnie' then turned to him. "Well, buddy? 'Tahiti' ringing any bells?"  He thought for a second, racking his brain. "No..no, I can say it does not. I do not think I have ever been there, and truthfully, I am not sure where this 'Tahiti' even is."  "Oh great." 'Donnie' bemoaned. "And does this mean you have a lack of map education too? I don't wanna deal with this."  "Donnie!" 'Raph' once again scolded from the rear of the group. "Be nice to him! He's going through a lot, and I know you didn't always know where Tahiti was either!"  "Yeah, Donnie! If you lost your memories of us and our home would you want to be talked about being dropped off in a random place you may or may not have forgotten where it is? Hm? Donald?" Added the smaller figure.  "First off, I have contingency plans in place so if I ever lose my memory in some freak accident I have ways I think will help me remember. Secondly-" 'Donnie' (Donald?) suddenly cut himself off. "Ok, ok, I'm sorry. This is just new to me. After everything that's happened I'm not sure if I want a stranger in our home or near my lab. He doesn't seem like CJ or April. Maybe he's a better version of Bullhop but what if he's a member of the Foot or something trying to find us?"  "That..is true." 'Raph' admitted from the back. "Maybe we are being hasty about this" He turned to look him in the helmet. "Are you part of the Foot Clan? Or any secret evil organization?"  "No?" He said. "I am fairly certain I am not."  "Then that settles it." Leo said. "Let's get this guy home and his memory up and running and get it all settled, because that's totally what heroes do, nailed it."  "Leo..." 'Raph' gave a warning almost-growl as they started walking again.  "Does this happen often?" He quietly asked.   "You have no idea." His companion to the side replied back.  "Oh, right, buddy!" Leo turned to him. "Totally forgot but allow me to do some intros. I'm Leo, the one currently leading this whole thing, the kinda grumpy one in purple next to me is Donnie, Mikey's the one in orange right next to ya, and Raph's the big one in red in the back. If you forget which one's named who just go by our colors, our Pops does it aaalll the time." "Yeah, PaPa isn't exactly the greatest with names or remembering them." Donnie deadpanned. "Not sure if it's a 'having more than one kid' thing or just a him thing. None of us even look alike."  "Come on, bro, you gotta admit we look a little alike. We're twins, remember?" Leo tried countering teasingly.  "'Nardo, we are literally two different types of the same species." Donnie retorted.  "Here we go again." Mikey sounded tired yet amused. "What about you?" He asked. "What do we call you? Have you remembered your name?"  "No, I haven't." He answered. "All I can remember is water, and figures walking around me similar to this and what we are doing now."  "Then you must have spent a lot of time in a team or with your family!" Mikey said hopefully "If we keep walking you might remember more! Maybe your brain just needs time and stimulation to wake up! We still have a bit of a walk home, so this might be what you need to help."  "It is a plausible theory." He said uncertainly. "But I am not sure what it will actually unlock when it comes to what's really important."  "Yeah, like your name or how you got in the City." Leo said nonchalantly. "Until you remember that, I'm just gonna keep calling you 'Buddy'. You cool with that? Or do you have something better?"  "That..doesn't seem..right." 'Buddy' said, not liking how the name fit or sounded for him. "But there doesn't seem to be anything else..."  "What about 'Mr. Helmet'? Or 'Visor', since you seem to like wearing it? Or what about 'Mr. Man'?" Mikey was quick to give suggestions.  "My sight is severely limited and my helmet is the only familiar object to me that also helps me see. I cannot make out truly what you look like." He felt the need to explain, even though he told Leo once already. "So you've been stumbling around blind?!" Donnie burst out. "You need glasses ASAP! As soon as we get to the lair I'm finding you something."  "Glad you're on board to help, Donnie." Mikey sounded appreciative. He turned back to his walking buddy. "Well? What should we call you for now?"  Sighing deeply, he thought and responded. "I suppose 'Visor' will suffice, just until I can come up with something better." It didn't seem right but it wasn't quite wrong either. Maybe he was called a similar word in the past, or his original name meant something like it.  "Eh, I've heard worse." Leo said as they continued on. "But whatever. Intros are done, welcome to the team, Visor, hope you enjoy your stay."  Nodding either to himself or to show acknowledgement to Leo, Visor said nothing. He felt the need to talk or explain something, but the mental walls kept him from doing so. He wished he could remember his former team and the banter that was once had.  A team...  That was what he was once on.  Maybe.  If he could only recall with who, and the strides he once walked along with, and if they ever got along well.  Perhaps his mind was playing tricks. He could almost swear the sound of water was covering up a call.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

It didn't take long for the group to reach their destination, the whole trek mostly uneventful. Visor had briefly lost his footing once as he tripped over something unseen and nearly fell into the rushing water but was quickly grabbed and set aright. To keep it from happening again Mikey switched sides in the positions they were walking, allowing Visor to be closer to the wall to steady himself if needs be or to feel the wall as a guide to map where they were going.  To say if Visor tripped was because of his eyesight or because he was lost in his thoughts, it was hard to tell. He racked his brain for something, anything, that he could grab and hold on to but all he was getting was a headache. He didn't like the feel of his 'new' name either. It felt almost like wearing someone else's clothes; too loose and ill-fitting in some areas, the texture feeling off and wrong, but there was no choice but to wear it as it was all you had. It was only temporary anyway, he told himself. He didn't have to stay 'Visor' forever.  Every now and again electronic tapping and beeping could be heard from Donnie as Leo chattered on incessantly. Turning to Mikey Visor gave him an inquisitive look as he pointed to his ear.  "Security measures." Mikey whispered. "We've..had a bad instance with people coming in and destroying and taking our home from us."  "Oh..." Visor said, feeling sympathy for his young companion. To lose one's home-  "I can hear you guys, you know that, right?" Donnie said over his shoulder, still tapping and beeping. A final big and loud beep was heard when they stopped in front of some sort of large wall. Visor squinted and could barely make out the makings of a huge door and lines of some sort of lights or electricity. The lights shifted and grew brighter as the door shifted open. Visor couldn't see everything but felt it all a bit dramatic as they stepped through. The rest of the group treated it like it was normal, which shouldn't have been surprising as it was their home.  "There you guys are! I was wondering if I was going to have to go out and find y'all or somethin'." A feminine voice rang out in greeting.  "Leo got in trouble, again, and got thrown into prison, again." Donnie explained as they walked further into the room.  "Puh-lease, it wasn't that bad." Leo countered. "It's not like any of us haven't been falsely imprisoned before."  "And who is this?" The feminine voice asked, the owner of it walking to him. "Don't think I've seen you before."  "This is Visor!" Mikey introduced, never having left his side while the others began to disperse. "He was thrown into prison with Leo and can't remember anything so we thought he'd stay with us for a while to help him out!"  "Uh-huh." The feminine voice said, sounding somewhat unconvinced.  "He is also blind hopefully in a way similar to how we are so hopefully one of these will help." Donnie suddenly reappeared, hands holding something. He turned to face Visor. "I've had a few different pairs of glasses over the years and have also come across a few while exploring the sewers that have probably fallen through a grate or something. There's also a few I found scavenging for parts and gotten online through bulk sales of people getting rid of stuff and wouldn't only sell a part that I needed. If a few pairs are just the frames their glass is probably being used for a totally cool project of mine, no you can't have them, so take that dumb helmet off and try some of these on."  "Donnie!" Raph scolded again, a somewhat safe yet close distance away.  "What? It's not Genius Built Brand, copyright by me, so I know it's got to be somewhat lame."  "You can't just say that though!" Raph came close to Visor and Mikey's side. "I can, uh, hold on to your helmet while you try those on." He said softer to Visor, trying his best to be helpful.  Truthfully, Visor didn't want to take it off. It was somewhat familiar while he was surrounded by complete unfamiliarity. To part with it even for just a few minutes didn't feel right. But to be able to see more clearly and alleviate at least part of his headache? And Raph seemed trustworthy enough, even to the point of familiarity too, in a sense. A gentle giant he was perhaps trying to be.  Taking off the helmet and placing it in (assumingly) Raph's hands, thin wires were shoved on Visor's face with a clear material in front of his eyes. Blinking a few times started to make himself feel sick, these 'glasses' or whatever they were not helping him much at all. He immediately took them off with a "No." as he rubbed his eyes. As soon as his hand left his face another pair was shoved on. These weren't as bad as the first one but still didn't help. "Not these either." He said as he took them off.  "Try this one." Donnie said as he shoved another one on Visor's nose. "Is this one any better?"  Visor blinked a few times. "Things are still out of focus, sorry." He said, taking them off.   Donnie had his try on three more pairs before they found one that would work. They needed to be a little stronger for him to see perfectly, but something told him he would probably have to find someone to get them custom-made for that to happen. These would work for the time being.  Someone stepped into his direct line of sight as his sight adjusted. A young woman with brown skin dressed in yellow and green smiled at him. "Those brown eyes see well now?" She asked teasingly.  Visor stiffened. Those words sounded so familiar, it almost triggered something.   Anything he almost had was quickly lost by another figure suddenly appearing next to the young woman. "I have a full box right here of more frames," Donnie's voice came out of a scaley, green person who wore goggles over a purple face covering. Visor leaned in for a closer look, causing the Donnie-figure to stop in what he was saying.  "You are..reptilian?" Visor found himself asking.  "Turtle, actually." Donnie said with a smug smile and roll of the eyes.  "Hey, he can see!" Visor heard Raph cheer. He turned to the larger figure, getting a clearer look at who had his helmet. Raph smiled widely at him, eyes closed. Now that Visor could make out more details he quickly realized Raph was a similar turtle creature not quite the same as Donnie was. He felt a pang of.. something when he saw Raph's red face covering had scratch marks the same area a scar around his right eye was peeking through. He didn't even seem that old. Another person popped up on Raph's back and shell.  "Hooray he got his glasses!" Mikey cheered. Visor could see he wore an orange mask around his eyes and had various splotches of dried paint on him. He was also a different turtle creature, similar but still somewhat unlike the others.  That left-  "Soooooo glad that didn't take all day." Leo said as he made his way towards them. "I can see you've met our adopted sister, April." He slung an arm around the young woman in a familiar gesture. "So, whattaya think? Didn't expect to see four talking mutant turtles, were ya?"  Truth be told, Visor didn't know what to think at all. Leo was yet another turtle variant, the blue band definitely a mask like Mikey's. And he said they were mutant?  Somehow, the word 'mutant' didn't have quite the negative connotation he felt it might usually have.  And this 'April' was their adopted sister.  Four mutants and a human sister.  "Just FYI," Leo continued. "I told Pops you're here. He'll see you in a bit, but until then we have a guest car you can stay in and rest until dinner. I know you're gonna want to after a day like today."  "Yes. Thank you." Visor said, a little overwhelmed with everything all at once. A place to rest would be ideal.  "Raph'll show you where it is!" Raph spoke up helpfully. He went to Visor and gave back his helmet. "Come on!"  Visor followed him deeper into his home to an area filled with trailer cars of some sort. Raph led him directly to one and opened the doors.  "There was a whole bunch of these when we moved in." He explained. "Mikey thought it would be nice to turn some of them into guest rooms just in case we needed them."  Looking around, Visor found the car's interior to be a simply decorated bedroom. He stepped in and sat on the bed, exhaustion suddenly flowing full force.  Raph chuckled. "Raph or one of the others will get you later. Try and rest up, ok, buddy?"   Visor simply nodded, not looking at Raph standing outside the door. He held on to his helmet as he listened to the large turtle close the door. Waiting a few seconds until he felt completely alone Visor flopped from his sitting position into a laying one.  Taking his glasses off and placing them on a table next to the bed, Visor curled up around his helmet and closed his eyes, letting the darkness take him.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

A rustling noise startled Visor out of his short sleep. Uncurling himself quickly from his helmet his hand reached back for.. something as he whipped his head toward the sound. A figure in dark clothes seemed to be getting out of a chair but startled when it was caught. Visor immediately looked to the bed table and felt for his glasses, but as quick as they were on his face the figure was gone.  Searching the room from the bed Visor realized he was again alone and still exhausted. He was too exhausted to go after the figure and soon lost the battle against falling asleep. A single thought crossed his mind before consciousness was lost completely: what was it that caused his muscle memory to reach back like he did?  No dreams came for Visor, maybe a few noises he couldn't identify or place. He didn't know how long the darkness of sleep held him for but woke up groggy and bleary-eyed, a furry face right in front of him.  "So this is the person my sons have decided to bring home. Hmm."  Visor just blinked at the rodent creature staring disappointedly at him. "My.. apologies?"  "Bah! This is not the first time this has happened." The rat-man waved a hand dismissively before turning to leave. "Orange is preparing a meal so I suggest preparing for it and leaving this room soon." Nearly outside the door he turned ever so slightly in Visor's direction, a thinly veiled dangerous, evaluating look on his face. Visor watched him leave, still laying on the bed.  Craning his head away from the door, Visor laid flat on his back, letting his limbs lay out in a somewhat star-like position as he let it all sink in. His helmet was still beside him when he woke up from sleeping on his side.  Almost slinking off the mattress, Visor sat on the floor. Propping a leg up, he rested his arms around it.  This feeling as he woke up was...strange.  The atmosphere around him from the room was somewhat inviting, but it wasn't for him. It wasn't his.   It was unfamiliar, and he was alone.  Something told him he didn't like waking up alone.  Fixing the glasses on his head to set properly before his eyes, Visor looked around again, this time not for danger but to really see the room he was in. His eyes fell on a reflective surface: a mirror hung up to the side of the room.  Slowly getting up, Visor made his way toward it. Taking a look in it, Visor realized this was his first time seeing himself.  A gloved hand reached up and touched his face and adjusted his glasses. His own hand, it almost startled him.  Light brown short hair. Brown eyes. Lightly tanned skin. Wire balanced on his face to help him see. The face in the mirror stared back at him.  Warm liquid started to fall down Visor's cheeks. Reaching up again as he continued to stare Visor realized tears weren't just falling down the reflection's face, it was his own face that was crying.  Crying over what?  Was he overwhelmed? Alone? Feeling like things aren't as they should but in ways he didn't know how?  Things just weren't right.  He needed-  He left-  Slumping back down to the floor he put his head in his hands.  How old even was he to be acting like this? Surely he was trained to be better than thi-  ...trained?  He was trained for something, something like this?  Climbing back up to look at the mirror on the wall, Visor took a deep look and settled on his eyes.  There was something familiar about them, he couldn't just place what.   Giving himself a few moments to compose himself, Visor left the car and closed the door behind him. He decided against wearing the helmet and thought it would most likely be safe sitting on a table. It was his only piece of comfort, but for now Visor didn't feel like wearing it or carrying it around.  Back tracking the way Raph led him through before, Visor found himself in some sort of main area. Hearing noises and voices Visor followed to what seemed like a common area.  "Heyyy, look who's up!" Leo called out from where he was sitting. Visor looked around and saw April, the rat-man, and to his surprise, a young man with dark hair wearing the same dark colors as the figure he woke up to earlier. The young man waved from where he was sitting next to Leo, looking a bit shy and sheepish.  "New intro!" Leo said as he playfully put an arm around and leaned against the younger boy. "Visor, C.J.. C.J., Visor."  "Uh, hi." C.J. gave a small, nervous smile. "I went to check on you earlier, sorry I woke you up. Just wanted to make sure you were ok and all that."  "I..see." Visor said.  Leo then got up and put his arms around the rat-man standing more to the side of the room where he was talking to April. "I see you've also met our Pops too," he said as the rat-man raised an eyebrow in Visor's direction. "You can call him 'Splinter' unless he tells you to call him something else."  "Guys, food is ready!" Mikey called out as he poked his head into the room. Wonderful smells seemed to follow him, causing Visor's stomach to grumble loudly. Leo laughed.  "You heard 'im! Let's go!"
