Killua glanced at his watch for the umpteenth time, his knuckles white from clutching the bench. He was supposed to meet Gon at the park fifteen minutes ago, but he was still nowhere to be seen. His best friend, Zushi, had been nagging him for weeks to ask Gon out on a date, and finally, he had caved. Now he was sitting here, alone, looking like an idiot. Just as he was about to stand up and leave, he heard a familiar voice calling out his name.He turned around, squinting against the bright sun, and there he was: Gon, running over towards him with a plastic bag in hand. As he drew closer, Killua could see that he was breathless and slightly disheveled. He felt a pang of guilt when he realized that he had been about to leave without even giving Gon a chance to explain."Sorry I'm late," Gon gasped between breaths, handing the plastic bag to Killua. "I was looking for your favorite chocolate, the choco robots. I wanted to bring them as a surprise. But I got lost and couldn't find them."Killua felt a surge of warmth in his chest at the thought that Gon had gone out of his way to get him something he liked. He took the bag from Gon, his fingers brushing against the other boy's hand. He forced a nonchalant expression on his face, not wanting to show how much the gesture had affected him. "It's okay," he said, trying to sound casual. "I wasn't really in that much of a hurry."He paused, glancing down at the bag in his lap. "Thanks, though," he added, mustering a small smile. "They're my favorite." He paused again, unsure of what else to say. "So, uh, where were we? I thought we were going to...?"Gon grinned, revealing his adorable dimples. "Yeah, we were going to the arcade! I didn't forget about that. I just wanted to make sure you had your chocolate first." He paused, looking at Killua with a mischievous glint in his eye. "And maybe I wanted to show you how much I care about your feelings, you know?"Killua felt his cheeks flush, but he refused to let it show. He cleared his throat and looked away, trying to act nonchalant. "Oh, is that so?" he managed to say, his voice sounding a bit gruffer than usual. "Well, thanks I guess."Gon grinned even wider, seemingly unaware of the effect he was having on Killua. "Don't mention it! I'm just glad I found them. I wouldn't want you to miss out on your favorite chocolate." He paused for a moment, his expression turning slightly serious. "You know, Killua, I really am sorry for being late. I should've been more considerate of your time. It's just that... well, you mean a lot to me, and I don’t want anything to ruin our day."Killua felt his heart thumping against his ribcage. He wanted nothing more than to reach out and touch Gon's hand, to reassure him that everything was alright. But he couldn't, not yet. Instead, he forced a small laugh. "It's fine, really. I understand." He glanced down at the plastic bag in his lap again. "Besides, I appreciate the effort. Not everyone would go out of their way to get me something I like."Gon beamed at him. "Well, I like to think that I care about you. Even if you are kind of grumpy sometimes." He paused, grinning playfully. "And who knows? Maybe if we have fun at the arcade, we'll win you some more chocolate."Together, they stood up and began to walk towards the arcade. As they strolled side by side, Killua couldn't help but notice how happy Gon seemed to be. It was a genuine happiness that radiated from him like a warm light, and it made Killua feel...good. He wanted to see that light in Gon's eyes for the rest of the day.~lazy time skip‼️😛~As they strolled through the arcade, Killua couldn't help but marvel at the neon lights that seemed to dance around Gon's face. The vibrant colors made his already adorable features stand out even more, and a small smile played at the corner of his lips. He was having the time of his life, and Killua couldn't help but feel a surge of happiness watching him. They spent the next few hours playing game after game, their competitive spirits igniting as they tried to outscore each other. Gon was particularly good at racing games, his reflexes lightning fast and his strategic thinking uncanny. Killua, on the other hand, excelled at fighting games, using his strength and agility to dominate the virtual battlefield. At one point, they even managed to team up for a four-player shooter game with both of their hands occupied on each of the guns, they looked silly but Their synchronized movements were nothing short of impressive, as if they'd been playing together for years. They were inseparable, laughing and cheering each other on, oblivious to the other pairs of eyes that occasionally glanced their way.The arcade was beginning to wind down, and with it, their energy. They'd spent most of their money on games, but Killua still had enough left for one last try at the claw machine. He led Gon over to it, the anticipation building in his chest as he prepared to show off his skills. With a few deft movements, his fingers expertly guided the metal claw, homing in on a stuffed animal at the very top of the machine. His heart raced as he stretched, just barely able to reach it.The claw closed around the toy, and with a triumphant cry, Killua yanked it out. The stuffed animal fell to the floor, revealing a knockoff Snoopy plushie with crooked eyes. They both burst out laughing. "Oh my God killua…” Gon gasped between giggles. "Killua, I think you've found my new best friend." He scooped up the plushie and hugged it to his chest, laughing uncontrollably.Killua couldn't help but feel a warm glow in his chest as he watched Gon's reaction. It was a small, silly thing, but it was clear that it meant a lot to him. With a shrug, he decided to give in. "Well," he said, "I guess you can have it. I'm sure you'll find a good home for it. Its ugly anyways"Gon looked up at him, a wide grin on his face. "Like you?" Killua scoffed and pushed Gons shoulder lightly. “I can always take it back jerk.” Killua said playfully. “No way! That’s a lost cause, it’s mine now!” Gon spoke passionately as he hugged the stuffed animal close. The two of them continued to banter back and forth, laughing and joking as they made their way to the exit.Their time together had flown by, and with a heavy heart, Killua realized it was time to say goodbye to Gon. They stood at the exit of the arcade, their bodies squeezing together as they hugged. It was almost as if they were afraid that letting go would mean truly being apart. The night air was cool against their skin, but neither of them seemed to notice.Killua finally broke the embrace, his hands lingering on Gon's shoulders for a moment longer than necessary. "Hey, you take care of yourself, okay?" he said softly. Gon nodded, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips. "You too, man. I had a blast tonight."As they turned to walk in opposite directions, Killua couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. And then, before he could react, he felt a soft touch on his cheek. It was just the tip of Gon's nose, pressing gently against his skin. A shiver ran down his spine as he realized what was happening. With a blush creeping up his neck, Gon leaned in and planted a soft kiss on his cheek.Killua froze, his heart skipping a beat. The warmth of Gon's lips against his skin sent a wave of tingling warmth throughout his body. He couldn't help but blush deeply as he felt the other boy's breath ghosting across his cheek. It was the most innocent and loving kiss, but to him, it was like a bolt of lightning had struck him square in the chest. He couldn't deny the happiness that swelled up inside of him, nor could he ignore the fluttering sensation in his stomach. For a moment, time seemed to stand still as Killua registered what had just happened. His heart raced, his cheeks flushed a deep shade of red, and his body felt electrified. He couldn't believe it: Gon had kissed him. It was the most innocent, loving gesture, but it held so much meaning. He wanted nothing more than to tell Gon how he really felt, how much that kiss meant to him, but his tongue felt like lead in his mouth. All he could do was stare into Gon's eyes, which were filled with an unreadable emotion. The air between them seemed to crackle with an electricity that neither of them dared to acknowledge."Um," was all he could manage to say. His heart was pounding in his chest, his palms were sweaty, and his thoughts were racing. He was certain that he must be blushing just as brightly as the sky above them.Gon bit his bottom lip, a nervous habit that Killua found impossibly endearing. He couldn't help but wonder what was going through the other boy's mind. Had the kiss meant as much to him as it did to Killua? Or had it been nothing more than a friendly gesture?"K-Killua..." Gon stammered, his voice barely above a whisper. "I-I'm s-sorry if I... if I... um..." He trailed off, looking away, his cheeks flushing even deeper than before.“You forgot these..” Gon said handing over the plastic bag of chocolate robots, his face flushed from the cold and embarrassment. Killua could feel his cheeks heat up as well, as he took the bag, their fingers briefly brushing against each other. He didn't know what to say, so he just nodded and mumbled a quiet "thank you."They stood there in silence for a moment, the tension between them thick enough to cut with a knife. Killua wanted nothing more than to reach out and touch Gon's hand, to reassure him that everything was okay, but he was too afraid to make the first move. His heart raced as he wondered if the other boy felt the same way. Finally, Gon mustered up the courage to speak. "I-I'm sorry if I...got the wrong impression," he stammered, “I just thought-that is, I mean, we're friends, right? Friends can kiss each other on the cheek..." His voice trailed off, and he looked down at the snow beneath their feet, his cheeks flushing even deeper.Killua's heart ached at Gon's words. It was clear that the other boy hadn't meant anything romantic by the kiss. Of course, he'd known that all along, hadn't he? Why had he let himself hope for something more? He forced a smile, trying to be brave. "Yeah, of course, Gon. Friends can do that. It's nothing special." He paused, swallowing the lump in his throat. "Anyway, thanks for the chocolate robots. They're my favorite."Gon nodded, a small smile playing at the corners of his lips. "You're welcome, Killua. I'm glad you like them." They stood there in silence for a moment longer, the air between them feeling oddly tense despite their previous exchange. Killua wanted nothing more than to reach out and touch Gon's hand again, to reassure him that everything was okay, but he knew that now wasn't the time. Instead, he settled for squeezing the plastic bag in his grasp. Finally, they turned to leave, each lost in their own thoughts. Killua tried to tell himself that he was being silly, that of course Gon didn't feel the same way. But the ache in his chest only seemed to grow stronger with each step they took away from the arcade . He couldn't help but wonder if there was something wrong with him, if he was just too much of a burden for his friend to bear.As he trudged through the streets , his mind drifted back to the night of the party, when he'd seen the way Gon had looked at him. The way he'd felt when Gon had touched his hand... It was all so confusing. He wished he could talk to someone about it, but who could he possibly talk to about Gon?He shook his head, trying to clear the thoughts, asoon as he got home, he’s definitely gonna tell zushi. Its all his fault anyways.
