Doctor Caitlin Snow sat alone in the cortex of S.T.A.R Labs, staring thoughtfully at a computer screen. A few hours ago, Barry and Joe had revealed to her and Cisco that Doctor Harrison Wells was apparently supposed to be the man in the yellow suit. He should be Reverse Flash. This man, who was paralysed and in a wheelchair since the explosion of the particle accelerator, was supposed to be a speedster just like Barry.Caitlin shook her head in disbelief. No, that simply couldn't be the case. She couldn't imagine that. She would investigate this accusation herself on the man who accompanied her all these years, who believed in her. He had brought her into the team, even though she was just new and still very young. She had doubted whether she could cope with this pressure, but Dr. Wells had always been at her side and supported her. This was also the case when her fiancé Ronnie died after the explosion.Although the latter wasn't entirely true, since he was actually alive now and he was now with Dr. Stein and had become F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M.. Caitlin ran her hands over her face and exhaled in frustration. Just sitting here and thinking about it didn't get her anywhere. She had to know, even if it meant driving alone to Harrison Wells' house, which was more like a villa. Half an hour later, Caitlin stood in front of the gigantic double doors of Harrison Wells' estate. She had arrived here five minutes ago and had been standing in front of the locked door ever since. Her index finger was just a few inches from the bell, but she hesitated. If it turned out to be true that Harrison Wells really was the Reverse Flash, she had a big problem because he certainly wouldn't let her live if she found out his secret. And calling Barry would be a complete waste of time because by the time he got to her she would already be dead. Caitlin closed her eyes. She needed the answer from him.She needed to know if Harrsion Wells, the man who was more than just a co-worker to her, was really Barry's mother's murderer. Caitlin took one last deep breath before ringing the bell. She waited and waited. At first she thought that he wasn't even home yet, but when she looked at the clock on her phone and it said 9 p.m.... She realised how unpleasant it would be to visit him at such a late hour and alone. Caitlin was about to turn around and leave when the double doors opened and Dr. Harrison Wells sat in a wheelchair in front of her. Surprised, he looked at her through the glasses with his blue eyes."Dr. Snow, what are you doing here at this late hour?" asked Harrison, a little confused. His eyes moved warily from left to right before settling back on the young woman in front of him, who was nervously playing with her fingers."So... mh... I wanted... I wanted to talk to you... about something," Caitlin began, silently cursing herself for how embarrassed she was to be so nervous and stuttering in front of her boss. Dr. Wells tilted his head slightly and his eyebrows twitched briefly into a frown. "But if you don’t like it, that’s no problem. We can also talk about it tomorrow in the lab or when it's still a bit earlier than now. After all, it’s quite late and I should go back now," Caitlin blurted out. "I apologise for coming to see you at such a late hour, Dr. Wells. That wasn't right. I wish you a good night."Caitlin turned around and was about to walk away when she was stopped by Harrison."No please. If you're here now, at this late hour, there must be something very important that can't wait until tomorrow. Please." He rolled the wheelchair a little to the side to make room for her to enter. "Come in."Caitlin stood there uncertainly for a moment before nodding and walking into the house. Harrison followed her in the wheelchair, staying a few inches behind her and watching her. Why was she acting like that? He didn't even know her to act so nervous and uncomfortable around him. Something wasn't right. Did it have something to do with why Barry Allen had been acting so strange lately?"You have a really nice house," Caitlin broke the awkward silence and turned to him."Thank you," was his short answer and a small smile played on his lips.Caitlin looked into the man's blue eyes, which seemed to pierce her, as if they could see directly into her, through her. In her innermost being. She shifted nervously from her left to her right foot. Then Dr. Wells looked away from her."Where are my manners. Please. Sit in the living room. Would you like something to drink?" he offered her in a friendly tone."Yes, gladly. Water please.""Okay. Make yourself comfortable. I'll be right back." Harrison wheeled the wheelchair past her into another room, apparently the kitchen.Caitlin watched him and wanted to go after him to see if he got up from his wheelchair, but she didn't know how fast he was and if he really was the man in the yellow suit... So she decided to go into the living room go and sit on the big white sofa. A lowered glass table stood in front of the sofa with a glass of whiskey on it. To the right there was another armchair and opposite her was a large fireplace where a fire crackled quietly. She was so focused on the flames in the fireplace that she didn't notice Dr. Wells drove up to her. In his lap was a bottle of water and an empty glass. She jumped, startled, when he placed the glass on the table in front of her."Sorry. It wasn't my intention to scare you," Harrison said, unable to suppress a small smile. He held out the bottle of water to her, which Caitlin gratefully accepted."I was just thinking and didn't hear you.""I noticed that." Dr. Wells waited until she poured herself some water and took a sip before asking his question. "So, Dr. Snow, what's so important that you can't tell me tomorrow?"Caitlin nervously turned the glass she was holding in her hands around. How was she supposed to start this conversation? The whole way here she had been thinking about what Harrison Wells would do to her if he found out she knew about his secret and not how to even start this. She couldn't begin with the most obvious question and ask him if he was the Reverse Flash who killed Barry's mother 14 years ago, or could she?"Well…" she began, chewing nervously on her bottom lip. Her hands were suddenly sweaty and shaking slightly. "I don't know how to begin," she admitted sheepishly, watching as Harrison reached out to pick up his glass of whiskey from the lowered table. He took a small sip and looked at her."Now if you just say freely what's bothering you, I might be able to help you," Harrison offered with a small wry smile and took another small sip.Caitlin took a deep breath before placing her glass on the table and turning to Harrison Wells, who was studying her intently with his blue eyes behind his glasses."Why I'm here with you at such a late hour is because…" she trailed off, chewing nervously on her bottom lip. Damn Caitlin give it a damn lick! You're not like that otherwise! The only problem is that this is probably Reverse Flash in front of you and he can kill you in just a second, so no pressure."Yes?" Harrison asked with a raised eyebrow."It's about you, Dr. Wells."Instantly his eyebrow lowered and he suddenly looked at her with a look that sent a cold shiver down her spine. Harrison took off his glasses, placed them on the glass table in front of him and looked at her piercingly with his clear blue eyes. Caitlin swallowed, frightened. It was clear to him what she was getting at. What was her real question, otherwise she wouldn't be so scared and nervous. Barry had apparently figured out that he was the man in the yellow suit. Reverse Flash. He had to admit that he underestimated him, but he never would have believed that Caitlin Snow would be so stupid as to come to him alone. But he didn't want to hurt her. He couldn't do that. Never.Because in all the years he had worked with her, inexplicable feelings for her had arisen in him. At first he thought that maybe she felt the same way he did about her, but then he found out that she was seeing that idiot Ronnie and then wanted to get married. But he could understand her, because who could love someone who was in a wheelchair and paralyzed. However, this also had something good about it, because it meant he could concentrate on his actual mission of getting back to the future. Harrison breathed in and out audibly."So what's it about?""Barry..." she began. "Cisco and Joe think you're the man in the yellow suit.""You mean Reverse Flash?" he said, unable to prevent a small smile on his part."Yes.""Mhm." Harrison placed his glass on the table. "It seems to me that I underestimated your ingenuity a little."Caitlin's eyes immediately widened as she heard his words. He didn't even deny it! Caitlin immediately stood up and took a few steps back from him, feeling rather stupid since he was a speedster after all and running away would probably be the stupidest thing in this situation since Harrison could easily catch up with her without breaking a sweat."You don't deny that you are Reverse Flash?" Caitlin asked incredulously."Why should I deny something you are certain, Dr. Snow, or rather, you already know," replied Harrison, weaving his fingers together and crossing his legs.Caitlin's jaw dropped as she saw his legs, which he usually left still, suddenly move."You killed Barry's mother", she said. Her voice was shaking."I did.""In front of him.""I did."Tears filled her eyes. All these years she had believed that Harrison Wells was a friend. She had protected him from her friends. Firmly believed that he wasn't who Barry, Cisco and Joe thought he was. Everything she had done for him... Everything she had believed in... Everything collapsed in front of her like a house of cards. Before Caitlin could stop herself she ran. She had to get out of here."Caitlin wait," she heard the Doctor's voice, but she didn't hear. She quickly took out her phone and was about to dial Barry's number when she felt a draft and Harrison Wells suddenly stood in front of her in all his size. Red lightning flashed around him for a few seconds until they disappeared. In shock, she dropped her phone and it fell to the ground. Anxious, she breathed in and out frantically."Please. Please don't kill me," she begged him, unable to stop tears from streaming down her cheeks. "I won't tell them anything. I won't tell them your secret. I swear.""I'm not going to kill you, Caitlin," Harrison replied, his voice calm and quiet. "I want to explain to you why I'm here.""Y-You don't want to kill me?" she asked, looking at him in disbelief.Harrison shook his head. It stung his heart to hear Caitlin believe he was going to kill her."I could never kill you," he whispered in a husky voice.Caitlin swallowed as she heard his words and a warm shiver ran down her spine. She jumped back slightly when Harrison suddenly raised his hand and gently wiped a tear from her cheek with his finger. A tingling sensation spread where he had touched her. When he withdrew his hand, Caitlin was about to grab his hand, but she remembered who was standing in front of her. This was not the Harrison Wells she knew and secretly fancied. This was someone completely different."What kind of mission is this?" she asked cautiously.Harrison couldn't suppress a small smile before he spoke, "I come from a different time.""From another time?""From the future to be precise.""Does that mean you…""Traveled back in time? Exactly," Harrison replied. He exhaled audibly. "My name is not Harrison Wells and this is not my true appearance. My real name is Eobard Thawne."Caitlin looked at him in shock. This man just told her that this was not what he really looked like. Did that mean...?"Yes, I killed the real Harrison Wells," Harrison replied, reading her unspoken question from the shocked expression on her face. "I took over his body to create S.T.A.R. Labs a few years earlier. All these years I only had one mission in mind. I wanted to go back to my time and I would use any means to achieve that, but…" He paused. His clear blue eyes rested on the face of Caitlin Snow, who was silently looking at him with frightened eyes. Those beautiful eyes and those full lips... He had dreamed so many times about what it would be like to kiss those lips."But...?""But then I met you and started to work with you," he continued.Caitlin's eyes widened slightly. She swallowed. Harrison couldn't help but chuckle as he shook his head and turned around, now having his back to her."However, I knew that you could never love me if you knew my secret." He turned to her, disbelief in her brown eyes. "And then when you met that… Ronnie and you two got along so well, I knew my chance was gone. I refocused on my actual mission and completed the particle accelerator. But then… you know what happened then.""The explosion," Caitlin answered quietly.Harrison nodded. His clear blue eyes studied her intently, studying her every move. Now it was her turn. What would Caitlin do? Would she run away with the information to her friends and tell her about it? He would let her go. Yes. He couldn't hurt her. Caitlin was still staring at the professor. Her mouth was slightly open, but she couldn't make a sound. Her brain was slow to process the information she received, which surprised her since she was actually quite quick at it, but the reason for this could either be because it was already so late in the evening or the fact that Harrison Wells was now in front of her and looked her down from above and not turned around so that she looked him down from above. Caitlin swallowed."It's up to you now what you do with this information, Caitlin," Harrison said with a pained smile on his lips. Before Caitlin could even register what she was doing, she had her right hand placed on Doctor Wells' cheek. His blue eyes flashed in surprise at this touch. He gently placed his hand on hers and took a step towards her while she took a step back. Harrison continued to walk towards her and Caitlin backed away from him until she felt a wall at her back. With wide eyes she looked into his, which had darkened. Lust and desire glittered in them.Caitlin swallowed as he slowly leaned towards her. She had both of her hands pressed against the wall behind her and didn't dare to move. Harrison's eyes were locked on hers. Caitlin could feel his breath on her face, could smell the whiskey. Only a few millimetres separated her lips from his. All she had to do was lean forward and she would have touched his lips. A hot shiver ran through her body as she thought about what it would feel like to kiss his lips. How many times had she already imagined it. But then Harrison suddenly sat up again and looked at her with a small smile on his lips."It’s already late. You should go home, Caitlin," he said, turning away from her.Caitlin let out a shaky breath. She hadn't even realised she was holding her breath. Her brown eyes turned to Harrison Wells, who had walked back into the living room. Harrison stood with his back to her, staring at the flames of the fireplace. In his right hand he held the glass of whiskey. Caitlin ran a hand through her hair and took a step toward the large double doors that were closed but open for her to leave, but then she stopped and looked back at Harrison. Her mind told her to leave, but her heart told her otherwise. Deep down she knew what she wanted, whom she wanted. She didn't want to admit it to herself, but she knew what she felt. Ronnie had been her friend, her fiancee, and she had loved him, but not as much as she loved him.And so Caitlin walked towards Harrison Wells, grabbing his arm to turn him towards her. She grabbed him by his black shirt to pull him down to her and their lips crashed together. Caitlin tasted the whiskey on her lips and when she pulled away, Harrison's eyes were darkened. His clear blue eyes, into which she lost herself every time she looked at him, studied her carefully. He held back, wasn't sure, but when Caitlin smiled at him he threw all his doubts overboard and pressed his lips to hers. His right hand let the glass fall on the ground and placed itself on the back of her neck while his other hand held her body closer to his. His tongue asked for entry and Caitlin let him. She instantly tasted the whiskey on her tongue. Her hands were buried in his short brown hair. She screamed in shock as she suddenly found herself on the sofa and he was on top of her. He had supported both his arms on her left and right so as not to crush her with his weight. Harrison pulled away to look at her.Caitlin looked into his clear blue eyes that were looking back at her. There was an unspoken question in these. When Caitlin placed her hand on his cheek again and raised her head to lock her lips with his again, she gave him her answer. Harrison placed his hand on the back of her head and held her tighter. Caitlin moaned as both of their loins pressed together and he rubbed against her, where she could clearly feel his manhood. At that moment she didn't care who this man was, whether it was Harrison Wells or Eobard Thawne. She loved this man more than anything else in this world. The next morning Caitlin opened her eyes. The sun had already risen and the rays of sunlight were shining through the white curtains of the bedroom. An equally white thin blanket covered her naked body underneath. As she turned her head to the side, a smile spread as she saw Harrison Wells still sleeping next to her. He was lying on his stomach with his face turned towards her.She thought back to last night when they both made love in more ways than one. She remembered screaming in shock as they suddenly landed from the sofa in the bedroom. How Harrison had ripped off her clothes, only to leave hot kisses all over her naked body and breasts. A tingling sensation ran through her private parts as Caitlin remembered how Harrison had looked at her with his clear blue eyes before he had completely immersed himself in her. She still remembered how she had moaned loudly at the feeling of him completely filling her and how he had then found a fast but steady rhythm. She had moaned his name over and over again, urging him to thrust faster and harder while her hands clawed at his hair and shoulders. When she had reached her climax, Harrison had followed her only a few thrusts later and she had felt his seed being pumped into her. Then they kissed for a while, wanting to feel the other, until Harrison penetrated her again and made love to her slowly."What are you thinking about?" she heard Harrison Wells' dark voice ask, pulling her out of her thoughts. When she looked at him, she saw those beautiful, clear blue eyes that she could sink into every time. She turned onto her side with a smile on her lips."If you're already smiling so happily, it can probably only be something nice," he said and had to smile too."Yes, it is," Caitlin replied, placing her hand on his cheek, making him close his eyes to enjoy her touch. "I'll make us breakfast."Caitlin was about to get up, but Harrison grabbed her hand and pulled her to him, laying on his back and her upper body lying half on his chest."Stay in bed with me," he said in a husky voice, stroking her temple with his index finger. Caitlin looked into his eyes when a question came to her mind that she had actually wanted to ask him yesterday."Can I ask you a question?""Of course.""If your real name is Eobard Thawne and not Harrison Wells," she began, putting an arm under her chin. "Then how should I call you? Eobard or Harrison?"The man in front of her managed a wry smile at the question."To be honest, I haven’t heard or even spoken my name for 15 years. You're the only one who knows about my real name," he told her, holding a strand of her hair between his fingers. For a brief moment there was silence and Caitlin only felt his chest slowly rise and fall as he seemed to be in thought. "I have been Doctor Harrison Wells for 15 years and have adopted his identity. You know me as this and not as Eobard Thawne. For a while I believed that nothing and no one could stop me from my mission to get back to the future," he said and as he continued, he gently stroked Caitlin's cheek with his knuckles. "Until I saw you. As I worked more with you I questioned my mission more and more. I toyed with the idea of not going back to the future, but when you got together with Ronnie and wanted to marry him…" Harrison left the end of the sentence hanging. His blue eyes rested on her beautiful face. "But now..." Caitlin swallowed. She was suddenly afraid of his answer. What would he say? Would he leave her behind? "Now I will stay here and continue my life as Harrison Wells. Together with you, if you want."Relief spread through Caitlin's body as she heard his words and she leaned in to plant a kiss on his lips. Caitlin tried to pull away again, but Harrison's hand came to the back of her head, holding her tight. His other hand moved down her back. Even though she didn't want to, Caitlin pulled away to look at him. His eyes looked at her with lust."We have to get up. Not that Cisco and Barry are coming looking for us or worse, locating my phone," Caitlin said. "If they find out I'm with you, Barry will be here in just a few seconds and…"Harrison placed his index finger over her slightly reddened mouth to stop her from speaking."Then you should get up now, before I completely lose myself and you'll be shouting nothing but my name for a few minutes," he said with a conspiratorial smile, causing Caitlin's cheeks to blush.Caitlin sat up and got out of bed, feeling Harrison's gaze on her naked body. She quickly picked up her clothes from the floor and began to get dressed."You should get dressed too," she said as she was about to put on her white blouse, which had three buttons missing.Harrison chuckled. "You forget that I'm very fast."With these words he disappeared from the bed and a second later he was standing in front of her again, dressed completely in black."Yeah, I still have to get used to that," Caitlin admitted with a smile as she put on her shoes. "I guess I have to stop by my house first, because coming to work with a blouse with three buttons missing would be a bit strange for me.""Not for me," Harrison replied with a mischievous smile on his lips and gave her a kiss on the lips. "Here’s your phone. It was still on the floor where you dropped it."He held it out to her and she accepted it gratefully. When the display lit up her eyes widened. 13 messages from Cisco and Barry and 5 missed calls."Oh damn, we have to go to S.T.A.R Labs," she said, putting the phone in her pocket. Caitlin walked past him, but Harrison grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him, causing her to bump into his body and him to hold her tight. "Harrison, we really have to go," she urged."I know." He pressed a loving kiss to her lips before pulling away from her again. "I'll see you soon.""I'll bring you coffee from Jitters," Caitlin said with a smile before turning around and walking out of his house.Harrison watched her until the large double doors closed behind her. He closed his eyes for a brief moment and exhaled audibly. When he opened his eyes again he turned to the wheelchair. It was time to get back to work.
