It was a nice day, well at least for Popuko anyways. She was happily strolling through the park with her best friend Pipimi. "What a nice day!" said Pipimi. Popuko nodded as she hummed peacefully for once. "Gee that lemonade from earlier is really catching up to me, excuse me for a second" said Pipimi. Pipimi made her way to the nearest porta potty. Popuko plopped herself on a bench when she suddenly noticed a bright red glow. She tried to inspect it but nearly blinded her. "FUCK!" she hollered. After rubbing her eyes she gave it another go, noticing a red ring sitting in the grass. She picked it up and looked at it completely mesmerized, as if she were in a trance. She was begging to put it on. The porta potty door swung open. "Hey Popuko!" Pipimi said warmly. Popuko started sweating nervously. "Popuko do you need to go too?" "Nope!" she said, swinging her head side to side. "Hey what's that?" Pipimi said, pointing to the ring in Popuko's hand. It started to gleam uncontrollably. "Some sort of ring, I don't know why but it's making me feel overwhelmed with negative energy" griped Popuko. "That looks like it belongs to one of the lantern corps! I remember Lego Batman telling me about those" "I thought there was only the green ones" said Popuko puzzled. "I know green means will, but I have no idea what red could mean" Popuko felt her blood boiling more and more each second. She didn't understand, she hadn't been upset all day yet all she could feel was... "Rage!" Pipimi was staled. "Popuko...maybe you should put that down-" Popuko could care less what Pipimi thought though, she was overcome with anger. Popuko placed the red ring on her finger. Her appearance changed drastically as she began a transformation sequence. "With blood and rage of crimson red, ripped from a corpse so freshly dead, together with our hellish hate, we'll burn you all, that is your fate" chanted Popuko. Her ring illuminated some more. POPUKO?!" shrieked Pipimi. Popuko started to ascend, she set her eyes on an ice cream truck. "You scum!" she fumed, striking the truck with a hateful blast. The driver jumped out the window, crying like a baby. "That's what you get for fucking up my order! I wanted cookies dough not cookies and cream!" She used the energy of her ring to pick him up and tossed him into the fountain. The once clear water was streaming with crimson. "Popuko, you need to cut it out right now! You're a hero, remember?!" called Pipimi. Popuko projected a large red middle finger. Now onto her next victim target. She spotted a flamboyant young man. "You" Popuko snarled. "Please don't do this! I'm just a smol bean...heh" pleaded Dear Starboy Tord, twiddling his fingers. "No! You're one of those subculture bitches, and you refused to buy the Pop Team Epic manga" "It doesn't match my kawaii aesthetic..." he stammered. Popuko rolled her ayes and then proceeded to sock him in the face. "Hey, stop that" Popuko turned around to see a lantern decked out in gray. He also had a matching power ring.He was accompanied by a backpack covered in nothing but green. "I know about the green lanterns, but who the fuck are you?!" "Gray Lantern, I hold the power of apathy" "Fits you perfectly" grumbled Liam. "Whatever, stay out of my way!" shouted Popuko She spit up a molten-like substance, aiming it towards Gray and Green Lantern. Liam constructed a will powered shield. "I thought we were toast!" said Airy, relived. Liam groaned. "I can't believe I'm working with you" "Hey excuse me, do you guys think you can do something about Popuko?" asked Pipimi, raising with concern for her friend. "That's what we've been trying to do" said Liam. "Well you aren't trying hard enough!" pouted Pipimi. "I just got this thing yesterday, even my computer is easier to work". Pipimi crossed her arms and looked at the ground somberly. Liam's gaze shifted to Popuko terrorizing some citizens. "There has to be a way..." said Liam, trying to brainstorm ideas. "Wait before that awful ring fully corrupted Popuko, she said this weird chant" "An oath?" "Yes exactly! Maybe if you say yours, it could could make you guys stronger or something" beamed Pipimi. "I... don't have one.." Airy said blankly. "Okay, what about you, Green Lantern?" "It's Liam" "Well right now you're Green Lantern" corrected Airy. "No! I'm not gonna let you keep degrading me like this...first calling me backpack, now GREEN LANTERN?! I'm not even a lantern!" "That's literally the name of-" "Shut up!" interrupted Pipimi. "He started it!" blurted Liam, pointing at Airy. "I don't care who started it, now hurry up and say that oath before Popuko's rampage expands into the city" demanded Pipimi. Liam took a deep breath. "In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight, let those who worship evil's might beware my power, Green Lantern's light!" Liam was suddenly filled with determination. Just as Popuko was about to hit some guy with the remains of the ice cream truck, Liam struck her with a mighty blast. "YOU BITCH-" She crashed right into some trees. "Now you've pissed her off even more!" scorned Pipimi "I'm just trying to do what you said?!?!" said Liam defensively. Popuko jolted up angrily and punched Liam into the ground. His throat went dry. "I'm not done with you yet..." she murmured. She grabbed him by the handle and dragged him to the fountain. She vigorously shoved his face into the blood filled water, causing him to choke. "Popuko, that's enough" Pipimi said sternly. "You don't understand, I can finally unleash all my anger..." "No I don't understand, why are you doing this?!" Popuko chuckled evilly. "Who knew I was holding back for so long.." "This isn't you!" cried Pipimi. Popuko paused for a second. "You can either let the hatred consume you and tear you apart, or you can talk to me. The choice is yours!" Popuko looked at her ring, then back at Pipimi. She descended onto the ground and ran into Pipimi's arms. "You're feeling a lot right now, aren't you? Popuko nodded. "I'M SORRY FOR DESTROYING THE PARK AND PROBABLY KILLING THAT TORD TWINK! PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE FORGIVE ME!" she wailed. "Now care to explain why you're so upset.." said Pipimi, analyzing the property damage. "Well...I'm still pretty upset about Yuno leaving, then that cretin gave me the wrong ice cream, and with everything that's happened lately it's been a lot" sniffed Popuko. "That ring must have been feeding off your inner rage, it isn't just fueled by the rage of it's holder but it also feeds off the anger of others" "I musta had a lot in me.." giggled Popuko, rubbing the back of her head. "MUSTA?!?" uttered Liam. "Eh they'll just rebuild everything, now I want some more ice cream!" Pipimi shrugged. "Heh, you'd make a great cohost" said Airy. "Say some shit like that again and i'll make sure to shatter the other side of your face" "Please do" Liam insisted. After they get more ice cream LMFAO "Finally some high quality scoops, and I didn't even have to threaten him this time!'" "Back to normal..." crooned Pipimi. "Hey I just wanna thank you for um..helping earlier" Liam said awkwardly. "Oh it's nothing! I really didn't want my best friend to become an even more raging gremlin than she already is" Liam unzipped himself and pulled out an indigo power ring. He smiled coyly. "I was gonna give this to Amelia but I don't think she's too keen on the superhero thing" Pipimi gasped in delight. "This is so wonderful, now me and Popuko can match!" "You're letting her keep the ring?!" "Mhmm" Pipimi said, licking her cherry ice cream. Airy smirked. "This is just real amusing to you, isn't it" grumped Liam.
