Even amidst the sudden violent storm that had overtaken Towa City, footsteps did not stop. On the contrary, in fact. Violently four sets of shoes hit the blood stained concrete, almost skidding and kicking up water as they washed away blood. To say they were frightened would be an understatement—Towa City was a disaster after all, and they were currently being pursued by several of those damned bears.Komaru wheezed, her lungs aching and her legs begging her to stop running. Toko, on the other hand, was frightened enough to ignore both of their pain. Hand in hand, the pair sprinted down into the subway in hopes of escaping the rain and losing their pursuers. A tug or two later resulted in refuge inside a crashed train car, the younger of the two practically crashing to the floor with a dramatic groan. Dark purple hair pressed against the door of the car after it'd been slammed aggressively, heavy breathing following Toko's actions."Ughh... why's it gotta be us?!" Komaru explained with a pout, pushing herself up onto her feet as she began trying to dust off her skirt. It was not a successful attempt. Her complains only earned a frustrated growl from Toko, though the latter bit her tongue to keep herself from snapping at her companion."M- Maybe you're cursed! I mean, I- I wouldn't be surprised. You get us in a lot of t- trouble, y'know." Toko grumbled, a poor attempt at humor. Very badly timed humor, as it got a glare from Komaru.Awkward was the only way to describe the silence between the two girls, neither of them wishing to make eye contact with one another nor reply to the accidental insult. Toko huffed, fidgeting with the Future Foundation pin on her breast pocket. Komaru just quietly looked herself over in search of injury, fully aware that she must've had at least a scratch or two. She'd gotten rather close to those monsters, after all. Meanwhile a silent bystander tilted his head, unmoving from his spot at the end of the car. Rather he remained still where he stood leaned against the doorframe, arms tightly crossed and vibrant eyes boring into the back of Komaru's head. "You're not very observant," he pointed out, immediately frightening the both of them out of their distant behavior.Komaru shrieked, stumbling back a bit as Toko squeaked and jumped behind her companion as she began to cower. Using her 'friend' as a meat shield... Not ideal. Frantic eyes stared right back at bored ones, though a hint of intrigue lingered behind the latter ones. Once again silence filled the train car, though this was less awkward and more just fearful towards one party."Y- you.." Komaru gaped, trying to grasp the fact that there was another person in the city—and one who looked unharmed too! Quickly, she composed herself. Panic would do no one any good, would it? No, no it would not. Maybe if she was nice to this new person, they'd be someone she could trust. That was her thought process at least. "Um... who are you? I- I didn't know there was anyone on this side of town." She muttered upon gathering her thoughts, albeit still fearful. He didn't quite seem to intend on answering at first, though his thought process was quick to change. Why not entertain himself? Or at least try. "Kamukura." He replied dryly, unwilling to share any information more than that. He didn't necessarily need to, his surname was all they needed to know from his point of view.Komaru tilted her head and hummed, intrigued by the vague reply. Toko, on the other hand, trembled violently as she hid behind her companion and sputtered broken murmurs. There didn't seem to be much explanation between the two though, so Komaru just spoke again. "Uhm.. okay! Well, I'm Komaru Naegi! And this is my friend Toko Fukawa!" Komaru grinned as she motioned to Toko with one hand, whomst looked about one inconvenience from fainting.A soft hum escaped Kamukura as he quietly stared back at the two of them, various thoughts invading his head—firstly why the hell was one of the survivors here? Who let the younger Naegi free? Where did she get that megaphone? Why did she have it? Why the hell was she being friendly, did she not know common sense? It was almost amusing! Almost. "Okay," He muttered after a moment of silence, only to immediately bring another awkward silence amongst them."O- Omaru, we should-" Toko began, stumbling over her words in terror and discomfort."Oh!" Komaru's eyes lit up as she came to an idea, bouncing in place once. "Hey, you look like you're in good condition! And you don't have one of those wrist things! Maybe you could help us out!" Komaru bounced a little closer to him by accident, earning a tilt of his head and a stare from Toko that wordlessly asked if she was crazy. "We need to get these off to leave the city and-""You want help... with no benefits for myself?" Kamukura's eyes narrowed just a bit, not quite pleased by that. Maybe it was selfish, but hey, the world is selfish."A- ah..." Komaru paused, her joy crumbling just like that. With a glance back to Toko, the latter gave a huff and begrudgingly backed Komaru up."W- We could pay you, probably. I- I don't know if you want l- like.. money or food or- or something but... there's probably something we can do." Toko stammered, picking at the scabs on her arms via scratching aimlessly at her sleeve. It took her a moment but she soon gained an idea of her own, stammering a bit quicker. "A- um.. we- we could find something to entertain you? The- There's a lot of stuff going on here so there's bound to be something." Komaru gave her a confused look at the entertainment offer."..." A brief pause of consideration followed, Kamukura's eyes returning to their former form. Of course, his expression was still rather empty. "Fine." He agreed after a moment, a subtle shrug of his shoulders following. The two girls blinked, almost cartoony in the way they blinked in unison."...Fine? You're just going to agree like that?" Toko grumbled as she squinted in suspicion at his oddly quick agreement. Komaru, however, seemed rather happy about it."I'm bored." Kamukura replied, unbothered by the confusion. Toko just muttered a soft 'oh' in reply, meanwhile Komaru grinned at her friend and new companion."Well," Komaru flipped her stun gun in an attempt to look cool, only to drop it and immediately scoop it back up with a sheepish smile. "Let's- um... take shelter here? Maybe? 'Cause it's raining pretty bad out there and those Monokuma chased us pretty far." She suggested with an awkward laugh, admittedly embarrassed that she'd failed that attempt. Her words only gained a huff from Toko who quietly grabbed her companion by the wrist and dragged her back a bit into the further part of the train car in an attempt to keep distance. Kamukura didn't seem to care much and instead just leaned against the doorframe whilst the two girls sat down on the blood and dirt stained seats.Maybe, just maybe, this could benefit all of them. Protection for Komaru, entertainment for Kamukura, and possibly the chance to prove herself to the Future Foundation for Toko—maybe she could inform them that she'd located him, and then... maybe Togami would finally- she put a quick stop to her thoughts, not wishing to let down her guard when a Remnant was so close to her. Especially one with the strength he had.
