Chapter 1
Jungkook finds himself in a dense forest, surrounded by towering trees and the sounds of nature. His journey here has been marked by impulsive decisions and now he must navigate through this unfamiliar place with only his wits to guide him.Lost in the depths of the forest, Jungkook found himself alone with only his small, worn backpack. It contained nothing but a handful of snacks he had packed to enjoy during his anticipated exploration of the city that had become his new home just a few months earlier. His arrival had marked the start of a relentless routine, leaving him with scarce opportunities to explore the city. Despite being in the midst of his third year at college, Jungkook had reluctantly put his education on hold, compelled to dedicate himself to the grind of earning wages. This sacrifice was essential in accumulating the funds necessary to cover his tuition fees and other expenses, leaving him with little chance to revel in the beauty of the vibrant and unfamiliar city.“I feel like I’ve been here already,” Jungkook murmured to himself, a sense of déjà vu washing over him as he noticed the familiar markings on a tree that he could have sworn he had seen before.A frustrated sigh left his mouth. He just wanted to explore the different parts of the city. It was his favorite thing to do, exploring new places and seeing the wonders nature has to offer. Sighing for the second time, he felt his stomach grumble. He suddenly remembered that he skipped lunch to give himself more time to explore.Jungkook surveyed his surroundings with a thoughtful gaze, ultimately choosing to dine right where he stood in a clearing nestled deep within the forest. The sun still cast its warm glow, signaling that it was only four in the afternoon. As he unpacked a small towel and his snacks, he found himself humming along to the tune that had been stuck in his head.As he nibbled on his snacks, he couldn't help but take in the almost eerie stillness that enveloped the forest. The absence of chirping birds and the gentle rustling of leaves left him feeling as though time had come to a standstill, with nothing daring to disrupt the peace.Finishing off his bread, he took a long drink of water and meticulously tidied up his belongings. Sensing an unnerving vibe emanating from the forest, he made up his mind to depart and explore a different part of the city. The forest seemed unusually unsettling, giving him an undeniable sense of foreboding. And he did not like that even one bit. He felt shivers down his spine and the feeling of being watched entered his mind.He glanced around at the trees that enveloped him, their towering presence offering a sense of protection. "Relax, Jungkook. Right now, it's just you and the peaceful forest," he whispered to himself, seeking to quell the rising panic within. To divert his attention from the turmoil in his mind, he made a conscious effort to take in the beauty of his surroundings. The trees' leaves, tinted with warm autumn hues, foretold the inevitable arrival of winter. It was a sight to behold. The tranquility of the forest was abruptly interrupted by the sound of leaves crunching. Startled, Jungkook sprang to his feet, his gaze darting around in bewilderment. As time seemed to unfreeze, the gentle whisper of the wind and the rustling of the leaves gradually reached his ears.A shiver crept down his spine. His heart leaped when a white creature appeared before him. "Oh, shit!" Jungkook exclaimed, his hand flying to his chest. "You scared the crap out of me.""It's just a rabbit, Jungkook," he reminded himself, attempting to regain his composure.Hesitantly, he approached the small white rabbit and greeted it. "Well hello there, little one," he greeted it with a soft smile.Upon drawing nearer, he noticed the rabbit's striking red eyes. "Well, aren't you an adorable albino rabbit?" he murmured as he edged closer to the rabbit.Should he reach out and pet it? That little rabbit looks like it could use some gentle petting right about now. But he remembered that some wild rabbits were dangerous to humans so he reluctantly held back the urge to touch the soft-looking animal.“Well, I guess I should get going before it gets dark.” Jungkook stood up from his crouched position and was about to turn around when he noticed something from the distance. A chill ran down Jungkook's spine as three pairs of piercing yellow eyes bore into him. He recognized them instantly as the eyes of wolves, their predatory gaze striking fear into his heart. Although he had only ever seen wolves in documentaries and online photos, he knew that these creatures before him were undeniably real. His body tensed as one of the wolves took a calculated step forward, causing panic to surge through him like a tidal wave. Quivering, Jungkook involuntarily retreated, and a menacing growl rumbled from the throat of one of the wolves. The stark realization of being faced with the imminent danger of an attack by not one, but three wild wolves in broad daylight sent shivers down his spine. He can’t run. He knows he will never outrun a wolf, let alone three of them. But he knows he can't just stay there the entire time. The wolves will not leave unless he’s not their victim. Though he is quite sure that he’s now the target of three hungry wolves.Because let’s be honest if Jungkook was a wolf he’d prefer to eat and target a bigger prey rather than a small rabbit and then share it with two other hungry wolves. He eyed the wolves and saw that three of them were slowly descending to where he was.
He needs to run.
He gazed at the wolves and noticed that three of them were steadily making their way down towards his location. He knew he had to get away.Jungkook began counting silently in his head. Though fear gripped him, he knew he had to act fast and panic later.One.Jungkook took a cautious step back, and a low growl filled the air.Two.As he took another step, the growls grew louder, emanating from the wolves.Three.With determination, he darted through the dense forest. The wind rushed past him, and the jagged branches and leaves scraped against his jacket. The wolves' fierce growls almost made him stumble as his legs trembled. Glancing to the sides, he spotted one wolf on each side - one grey and one brown. Now, he was certain that the black wolf was the one right behind him. He felt the searing pain in his lungs, a relentless reminder of the adrenaline-fueled sprint through the dense forest. Halting was out of the question; even a moment's pause would mean surrendering to the relentless pursuit of the wolves. The notion of succumbing to their teeth and claws was unbearable, compelling him to press on. Without hesitation, he propelled himself forward, determined to outpace his relentless predators, fueled by a fierce resolve and the urgency to reach safety, anywhere but here. The sudden lunge of the grey wolf caught him off guard, causing him to duck and stumble, nearly losing his balance. "Ah! Shit!" he exclaimed as a sharp pain shot through his right leg, jolting him with surprise. His muscles, fatigued and weary, began to give in, but he refused to succumb to the exhaustion. He had to keep moving forward, keep running, no matter what.Limping as he ran, the pain in his leg and the searing ache in his chest were slowing him down, and he could feel the wolves gaining on him.Regret filled his thoughts. "I shouldn't have come here,” he said to himself through his gritted teeth. As he sprinted through the dense forest, he gradually sensed his pace slowing, and suddenly, a searing pain shot through his left foot, causing him to let out a startled cry. The dark wolf had managed to land a vicious scratch on him. At that moment, he realized just how dangerously close the wolves were to him—too close for comfort.Straining his eyes ahead, he spotted an ancient cabin nestled among the trees. It exuded an eerie and foreboding aura, the kind of place one would avoid at all costs when lost in the woods. In horror movies, those who sought shelter in desolate cabins always met unfortunate fates— Jungkook certainly wished to avoid. However, with the wolves closing in combined with his injury, he found himself left with no choice. It was either to seek refuge in the old cabin or face the grim prospect of becoming wolf prey, and he reluctantly opted for the former. He inched closer, feeling the rough texture of the cabin door under his fingertips. Every step felt like a monumental effort, but he persisted. The safety of the cabin was tantalizingly close, just a mere breath away. If only he could take a few more steps, just a little bit more, everything would be alright. The first thing he registered was his fingertips touching the worn-out door of the cabin and the next was a searing pain in his waist when looked down he saw the brown wolf’s sharp teeth piercing his skin and his blood dripping on the ground. He let out a pained scream as he collapsed onto the ground. The last thing he caught sight of was the sight of the brown wolf falling onto him, and then everything faded to black._As his eyes fluttered open, Jungkook found himself in a hazy daze. His parched lips and the searing pain coursing through his body made him feel as though he had wandered through a desert for days without a drop of water. A hoarse moan escaped his cracked lips.A mysterious figure loomed in front of him as he struggled to focus his blurry vision. A surge of panic shot through him as he realized he didn't recognize the person standing before him. As the fog of confusion lifted, the memories of the recent events flooded back to him - the ill-fated exploration, the menacing wolf, the frantic pursuit, and then... the agonizing bite.In a frantic urgency, he attempted to raise his arms to inspect the wound, only to be halted by a stern voice.“Don't move too much. I tried my best to patch you up with the limited supplies I had.”When Jungkook tried to talk, his voice wouldn’t come out. His throat was too dry.“W-water,” He said. His voice sounded foreign to him. It was scratchy and rough.A straw was held near his lips and he didn't waste time to insert it in his mouth to drink. Blinking his eyes multiple times just to clear his vision but it just won’t.“Don’t move for a while. Let your body rest.” the stranger said. The stranger’s voice reverberated with a warm, husky tone that held a comforting presence, despite the stern and detached manner in which he spoke.“W–who are you?” Jungkook asked. The stranger hummed. The sound sent a shiver down his spine.“You don’t need to know that little human.” The man lifted Jungkook’s head and put a cup near his lips. “Here, drink this. It's a medicine to get rid of your pain.” Jungkook hoped that whatever he was about to drink wouldn’t cause him any harm.Through his blurry vision, he could see the stranger mixing and grinding some ingredients on a small broken glass. “When you wake up you must drink this again and leave. I will leave marks on the trees that you can follow to leave the forest,” the man sounded like he wanted to say more but decided not to say anything.  Slowly, his eyes started closing, and sleep consumed him. When Jungkook opened his eyes again, it was because of a rustling sound coming from the door.A hum escaped his lips. His vision was clearer now. He saw the stranger stop before opening the broken door. The man was tall and Jungkook could see a few blonde hair strands that escaped the man’s hood.“Leave this place and don’t come back, little human.” That was the last thing that Jungkook heard before falling back to sleep. When Jungkook opened his eyes again, the inside of the cabin was bright.Slowly his memories came back filtering into his mind. He clutched his waist and winced when felt that it was wet.Looking at his wound, Jungkook saw that the bandage that was wrapped around it was covered in blood. He surveyed his surroundings. The old cabin was surprisingly in a better condition than he thought it would be. There is a table and a wooden chair and some cabinets and shelves filled with knick-knacks. Jungkook was on the floor. He just noticed that he’s lying down on a cloth that he knows came from the man who helped him. Beside him was a wooden stick, thick enough for him to hold ad]and use to help him walk.Grunting in pain Jungkook took the stick and stood up carefully. The onslaught of pain in his waist and legs reminded him of what happened the day before. Did it even happen the day before? What if several days passed by already?Noticing the white paper on the table beside the two small cups with liquid in them, he took his time walking towards it while small grunts escaped his lips. The pain from his wounds was strangely not as painful as he thought it would be.
‘Drink both when you wake up. Follow the yellow markings to leave. Don’t come back, little human.’
With shaking hands, he took one cup and drank it. There was a slight bitter aftertaste and the texture felt too much like water. He drank the second cup and tasted a sweeter aftertaste. Seeing that there’s no other bandage or cloth left behind, it must mean that he can’t change his bandages unless he goes back to the city and gets it checked in a hospital. He sat down on the wooden chair and decided to wait for the medicine to work. His mind drifted to the stranger who saved him. The stranger appeared just before the wolves completely mauled him. The stranger easily hit the wolf that bit him and Jungkook guessed that maybe the stranger killed all of the wolves that ran after him. Jungkook wished he did. After a while, he couldn't feel the pain anymore. He stood up and picked up the cloth he was lying down on, he could use it to cover himself up. He grabbed his ruined jacket on the floor and wore all his clothes. He managed to find his backpack whichhad holes from the wolves’ teeth and definitely some…well a lot of his blood. He can feel his nerves while standing just behind the door. Jungkook doesn't know what will greet him from the other side. It can be another pack of wolves or another dangerous animal that can cause his death. Carefully he opened the wooden door and was greeted with the morning sunlight of the forest. The sigh in front of him is something he wishes he would never see again.Blood.
So much blood.
It smelled like dead animals and blood. It was a stark contrast to the beautiful view of the forest.Clutching his bag and his walking stick, Jungkook looked around to find the yellow markings that the strange man had written about.There.Tied on a small branch was a thin yellow strip of cloth. Limping and grunting Jungkook followed the trail that will hopefully lead him to the bustling city that he moved into. Grabbing the half-empty water bottle in his torn bag, he opened the cap and drank some water. His phone was broken, probably from a fall or a bite, he doesn’t know. So he doesn't have any means to contact his co-workers or friends. When he looked back, suddenly the yellow cloth he was following was gone. “We are so full of luck today, Jeon Jungkook,” he muttered to himself. He scanned his surroundings to find the yellow cloth that he was sure was in front of him but found nothing. “Great,” sighing heavily, “Just great.”Now he’s lost. Again.A frustrated groan left him as he navigated his way through the forest. He decided to walk a little bit more and find any markers that he could track and follow. After about an hour he could feel the tiredness seep in his bones. The pain on his wounds slowly came back. As he was on the verge of taking a seat to catch his breath, his gaze was suddenly drawn to a weathered purple string fastened to a blade of grass. The aged and soiled appearance of the string suggested that it had been placed there years ago. And on a blade of grass? Why is that? The grass could be cut off or stepped on by someone, so why would someone tie a string on a grass?"Who could have done this?" Jungkook mused. It seemed unlikely that anyone would have taken notice of it."Well, I'm already lost anyway. Might as well follow it,” he said to himself. He grunted in pain when he started walking, scanning his surroundings to find the next purple string. The autumn weather was not helping his conditions as cold winds frequently blow through the forest. The scratch on his leg hurts more than the bite he has on his torso. What did that strange man do? How was he able to heal him just like that? How was he able to fight off three strong wolves alone? He was even able to kill all three of them! He can feel the slow dripping of his blood that the bandage couldn't hold anymore. Jungkook's eyes landed on the next purple string, which was fastened to a glass bottle lying haphazardly on the forest floor. As he ventured deeper into the woods, Jungkook couldn't help but notice the seemingly random objects to which the purple strings were tied. A weathered stone, a damaged branch, the slender stem of a flower, and various others. Time seemed to stretch endlessly as Jungkook trudged through the forest. The effects of his blood loss were taking their toll, forcing him to halt frequently. He clenched his teeth, bracing for the next surge of pain that wracked his body. As his eyes swept across the dense forest, the piercing sunlight momentarily dazzled him. After blinking and rubbing his eyes, he was enveloped by a fleeting embrace of warm wind.He blinked his eyes slowly and to his surprise, found himself standing in front of a majestic palace. It seemed to have materialized out of nowhere since he was certain it hadn't been there when he first arrived at the location.“Argh!” the wave of pain that crashed through him made his knees buckle. As he fell to the ground the wound on his leg screamed in pain. He felt like he was trapped in a world of pain, never-ending crashes of pain entering him. Jungkook tried to steady himself despite the intense pain, taking slow, deep breaths as he gazed at the grand palace looming in front of him. It hadn't been there when he first arrived, and it might not have seemed like the safest choice, but right now, it was his best option. Desperate for help, he was willing to accept any assistance, no matter the risk. With his walking stick in hand, he struggled to stand up, every movement causing him to grit his teeth in an effort to stifle the pain. His waist was bleeding, but he pushed on, taking slow, deliberate steps toward the grand gate of the palace. Searching for a way to announce his presence, he finally spotted the door knocker and, mustering his strength, lifted his hand from his waist to rap it against the gate three times.Glancing over at the structure in front of him, Jungkook couldn't help but be in awe. The grand building could easily be mistaken for a castle from ancient times, with its walls adorned in creeping moss and vines, and a broken fountain standing at the center, just a few paces from the entrance gate. It was also evident that the palace, or castle, was neglected and unattended.Jungkook couldn't help but question himself. Was he truly expecting someone to reside in a castle, especially one nestled deep within the forest, in the current state of the economy and society? It seemed impossible. Yet, despite its apparent emptiness, he couldn't shake the feeling that people still lived there.Suddenly, a wave of nausea and dizziness washed over him, causing him to falter. Just as he braced himself for the fall, a frigid arm wrapped around him, preventing his collapse."What are you doing here, little human?" a familiar voice inquired, accompanied by a soft hum.As Jungkook gazed up, he found himself looking into the eyes of a strikingly handsome man with blonde hair.
Blonde hair?

Little human?
Before he could gather his thoughts to respond, his body gave in, and he succumbed to unconsciousness.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Chapter 2 Jungkook was roused from his slumber by a faint shuffling sound beside him. A pained groan involuntarily escaped his lips."Oh, you're finally awake. You’ve been asleep for two days" a voice he recognized said.As he slowly opened his eyes, a familiar, blond-haired man came into focus. "I'm not sure if it's fortunate that I found you in this state," the man said with concern etched on his face.Gently, the man lifted a glass with a straw and brought it close to Jungkook's parched lips. Without hesitation, Jungkook eagerly sipped from it, his throat feeling as dry as the driest desert.Jungkook's heart raced as he gazed at the man before him. It was the stranger, the enigmatic figure who had come to his aid against the wolves. This mysterious man had tended to his wounds and then urged him to leave."Where am I?" Jungkook inquired, his voice barely above a whisper. As he took in his surroundings, Jungkook found himself in a deteriorated room, its once-grand features now marred by neglect and decay. The room boasted two towering, shattered windows, adorned with grubby, scarlet curtains that billowed in the faint breeze. Above, a chandelier sagged beneath layers of dust, its candles reduced to waxen puddles. The ceiling was cloaked with spiderwebs..The bed on which Jungkook lay bore the traces of its former extravagance, with four ornate wooden pillars standing at each corner. Yet, only the sheets appeared fresh and clean, a stark contrast to the rest of the room. The stranger regarded Jungkook with a serene smile. "You, little human, are in the home of my coven."Coven? Jungkook was puzzled over the unfamiliar term as he attempted to sit up.The stranger immediately rushed to help him. “I'm afraid your injuries seem to have gotten worse. Fortunately, I have my supplies here at our home so I was able to patch up your wound and heal you.”Jungkook gazed at the mysterious man who was helping him. "Who are you?" he inquired. The man responded with a slight smile. "You can call me Hoseok.""Hoseok-ssi, I—" Jungkook began, but Hoseok cut him off."I have no idea how you ended up here. I provided an easy trail for you to follow back to the city," Hoseok said, his expression serious, sending shivers down Jungkook's spine."Yeah, I followed it. After an hour or two, it just disappeared, and then I saw the purple strings. I followed them, thinking they might lead me out too," Jungkook explained.Hoseok's stare sent chills down Jungkook's spine, rendering him speechless."Alright," Hoseok said as he handed Jungkook a cup from the desk. "Here, drink this. It'll help warm you up and ease your pain."Jungkook cautiously drank from the cup, then returned it to Hoseok, noticing the calculating look in the man's eyes."You know, little human, you shouldn't trust strangers, right?" Hoseok said with a chuckle, teasing Jungkook."I-I... it's just... well..." Jungkook stammered, feeling overwhelmed.Hoseok hummed softly. "I'll let you rest for a while. When you're feeling better, call me, and I'll assist you in coming downstairs," he said, gathering the salves and bandages from the nightstand, which Jungkook had just noticed. As Hoseok reached the door, Jungkook realized he hadn't yet thanked him for his help."Hoseok-ssi," Jungkook called.Hoseok turned back, his eyes seemingly blank. "Yes?"Jungkook bowed as best he could with his injury, expressing his gratitude. "Thank you for your help. I appreciate it a lot," he said, mustering a small smile.Hoseok looked at him for a few seconds, as if he was processing his words and then returned the smile. Pretty. "You're welcome, little human," he said before leaving the room.Alone, Jungkook took in the surroundings. The room was a mess, covered in dust as if it had been untouched for centuries. Moss grew on the walls, and vines crept in through the broken window."What is this place?" Jungkook pondered aloud.Suddenly, the word "Coven" spoken by Hoseok came to mind. Jungkook wondered if it meant "family." He had heard the word before, but he couldn't recall where. Was it from a movie? Or maybe he read it from a book?Jungkook was suddenly hit with a wave of sleepiness. As his eyelids closed slowly, all he could think of was the pretty smile that the man, Hoseok, gave him.  - When Jungkook woke up the bright sun was a little dimmer. It must be close to nighttime. When he looked at the nightstand he saw a new cup with a note that said ‘drink me’. Slowly he took the cup to his lips and drank it. It tastes like strawberry juice. Sweet and refreshing even if it wasn't cold.He remembered Hoseok’s instructions to call him when he woke up. As loud as Jungkook could, he called Hoseok’s name. In the middle of him thinking about whether Hoseok heard him or not, the wooden door creaked open. “Hoseok-ssi,” with a tone of surprise Jungkook uttered the man’s name. “Hello there, little human,” with a small smile Hoseok greeted him back.Hoseok approached him, “How are you? Do you feel better?”Jungkook nodded. Though his thoughts were still covered with sleepiness. “Are you ready to come down now?” Jungkook only hummed to say yes. As Hoseok carefully assisted him to stand his eyes were roaming over the man’s attire. Hoseok was wearing a white poet shirt and black pants.  He noticed that Hoseok was also wearing a red ring, to be more specific it had a thick black band with a bright ruby stone in the middle.Looking down at his own changed attire, he was just wearing what seemed to be an oversized white sweatshirt and black joggers that were also loose enough that it wouldn't touch the bandaged wound on his leg.“I have changed your clothes. Forgive me for any discomfort that it might cause you. But your clothes were soaked with blood and had a few holes in them.” Hoseok said in a soft voice.Jungkook felt himself blush, “It’s alright. Thank you so much.” Hoseok smiled at him, “You’re welcome, little human.”The room was silent as he noticed a pair of slippers placed near his feet. As he slipped them on, the sensation was like walking on clouds. He marvelled at how soft and comfortable they were.Hoseok gently guided him towards the door, and each step creaked loudly, filling the room with creeking sounds. When the door swung open, he was greeted by a sight straight out of a fantasy.Vines and plants covered the entire space, creating a magical and ethereal atmosphere. However, it was evident that some of the plants needed trimmings. The beauty of the overgrown greenery contrasted with the sense that the place had been untouched and uninhabited for years."I think it might be best for me to carry you down the stairs," Hoseok suggested.Jungkook felt his cheeks flush with embarrassment.A long flight of stairs stood between them and the ground floor."U-uhm…” Jungkook was fiddling with the ends of his sleeves. “I think I can manage. The pain in my leg has lessened.”Hoseok assessed him as if checking whether he was lying or not. “Alright.”As they descended the old stairs, Jungkook couldn't help but appreciate his surroundings. By the looks of it, the huge ‘home’ looks like it hasn’t been lived in for centuries. The entire place was shrouded in grown leaves, plants and vines that stem out from outside. Numerous holes on the walls and damaged furniture cover the entire ground floor. “My sincerest apologies for showing you this display of our house. We weren’t exactly expecting guests.” Hoseok said.
We?
”Oh, it’s alright. Thank you for allowing me to stay in your home.” Though, Jungkook doubts that this place can even be called home.Hoseok gave him a small smile and gestured for him to sit on the unoccupied chair that is surprisingly in a good condition. “Please sit down for a while, I will prepare a small meal for you. I’m sure that you’re famished. I gave you a special mix of my tea to help you with your healing and with your hunger as well,” Hoseok said while leading Jungkook's lips curled up into a small, but genuine, smile as he nodded in agreement. Yet, beneath the surface, he was in the midst of a tumultuous internal struggle. As he pondered the concept of a tea that could soothe the spirit and ease hunger, Jungkook couldn't help but feel sceptical. Despite not being a regular tea drinker, he was almost certain that such a miraculous concoction was simply too good to be true.Questions swirled in his mind. Who was this Hoseok? What kind of person would choose to reside in such an unconventional and remote location, calling it their home?Inwardly, Jungkook harboured doubts about the very existence of Hoseok's ‘housemates.’ Perhaps Hoseok had stumbled upon this deteriorated place and, over time, had gradually become delusional, claiming it as his own home. Jungkook really needs to leave this place and go back to the city where real civilization exists and not some made-up ‘housemates’.He might be rude, calling his saviour ‘delusional’, but really. No sane person would call this broken down place a home. Even if he did live with these so-called ‘housemates’ then that would just mean that all of them have at least some problems in their head. Living and calling this mansion a house? What a joke.Sighing heavily he leaned his back and just observed his surroundings and the trees and grass that surrounds the forest  from one of the broken windows.Jungkook doesn’t know how much time passed while he admired the greenery but he snapped out of his little world when Hoseok came back with a plate full of food. Eyes wide in shock, Jungkook couldn’t believe whatever he was seeing. “That…is a lot of food.” Jungkook muttered.Hoseok let out a soft chuckle. “Is it? I have no clue what you humans eat so I just made something that looks edible.”  Huh?”Here. Taste it and tell me what you think. It’s been a while since I touched any kitchen materials so it might not be up to your standards.” What?”Little human?”
Did Jungkook hear him right?
”Hey, are you okay?”Jungkook looked at Hoseok and nodded. He’ll keep his thoughts to himself for now.”Here. Eat and gain some energy.”Jungkook took the plate, sat down and began eating. Surprisingly even though Hoseok said that he had not cooked in a while, the food still tasted better than any food he had eaten the past few days. The both of them talked while he was eating and only when the pain that Jungkook was experiencing for the past few hours, which was blocked by medicine, had once again announced its presence. “Sleep. I will continuously give you medicine until you heal.” Hoseok said.Jungkook muttered his thanks and closed his eyes to once again drift into dreamland. - “My love, try looking deeper in the room.” Seokjin said to his youngest lover. The younger vampire blankly stared at the older one, “But this one has the best smell out of everyone else.” He reasoned.Chains rattled and cries echoed inside the dark space. ”Hurry up. We don’t have time to waste. Hoseok is all alone back at home.” Said Yoongi, also one of his other lovers.”Just take two random humans, Tae. It's not like it will matter what type of blood we consume.” “Shut up Min. I know you don’t care about the taste but I do.” Taehyung said, followed by a scoff.“Take one for you then, Tae. Jimin, love, why don’t you go further into the room. I’m sure the humans back there have more to give us.” Seokjin said. He’s sure that if he won’t say anything then they’ll be stuck here for a while.“Just make sure we get the healthy ones. The blood last time made us sick.” Namjoon said while carefully scanning the hunched humans inside the room. “Well the blood was not assessed by me last time so you got a bad quality one.” Taehyung sneered. Seokjin sighed, “Enough with your attitude, my love. We have to hurry,” Seokjin signalled the men inside the room to take the humans they chose to the clinic. As time passes by the less mess vampires want when they feed. So now they feed using blood pills. Blood pills are made by taking enough blood from humans and turning them into pills. It’s been practised for hundreds of years and direct feeding is now an intimate thing to do between coven mates and their partners. With boxes tucked under their arms, the coven quietly slipped out of the building, careful not to draw attention to themselves. The sun was setting, casting a warm orange glow on the city streets as they made their way to their car, ready to head home.”"Can we just use the teleportation spell?" asked Yoongi, his voice tinged with a hint of impatience."Please, the boxes are not even that heavy, Yoongi-hyung. Unless you're proving that vampires get weaker by age," Jimin teased, a playful smirk dancing on his lips."I just don't want to sit inside the car for hours if we can reach our home in a second," Yoongi explained, his gaze fixed on the stack of boxes filled with their ‘food’  that needed to be transported.Seokjin grunted and summoned his magic. “Let’s just use the spell. I’ll transport the car after.””Thanks, love.” Namjoon said, giving Seokjin an appreciative smile. With a wave of his hand they were back to their home. Well, their home for now.Once he approached the gate he immediately sensed another presence in their home.“Someone else is inside.” Dark expressions covered their faces as they gathered around the gate. A sense of unease filled the air as they realised that another presence was inside their home. It could only mean two things: either Hoseok had been attacked, and the being inside with him knew that he was affiliated with a coven, or Hoseok was safe, and a lost being was inside with him, seeking refuge or aid. The moonlight cast eerie shadows on the worried faces of the coven members as they contemplated the unsettling possibilities. As the five of them entered the gate, it was likely that Hoseok had already detected their presence. Despite their somewhat weakened bond, they would still have felt a sense of unease if anything had happened to him so it was unusual that they did not feel anything in their bond. The moment they entered their home “It smells divine in here.’’ Taehyung muttered with something like raw hunger in his voice.”Mhmm” Yoongi agreed. They all put down all the boxes they were holding and scanned their surroundings. Enhancing their senses just in case they were in any danger.“Oh you’re back.”Looking at where the direction of the voice came from, they had to look up.On top of the staircase was Hoseok, holding on what seems to be a tray and a lamp.As Hoseok rushed to go down the stairs, Seokjin scanned him. “Is there anyone else here with you Hob-ah?” Asked Namjoon, scanning the entire place. Hoseok hummed. “Yeah, I was hoping the human would be out when you guys arrived but his injuries are far too worse.” “So he’s upstairs?” Jimin asked while unconsciously leaning forward to the smell that was stuck to the other vampire.“Yes. He’s resting. I gave him some medicine that will help him with healing his wounds but it seems like the side effects make him fall asleep.” Hoseok gently put the tray and lap on the broken table next to him, “ I couldn’t let him leave.” Hoseok looked up to stare at his lovers worry and anxiousness evident in his eyes. “I think he was led here.” Seokjin’s eyes sharpened. “ What do you mean?””When I first healed him I told him to follow the yellow markings but instead all he saw was our old purple ribbons we tied here centuries ago.”  - Jungkook slowly opened his eyes.He wasn’t sure how much time had passed but he was sure that he had not slept for long as there was no new glass next to him to drink. He was about to close his eyes again when he heard voices. Multiple voices.
Is this the moment I get sacrificed to the witches?!

Hopefully not.
Low baritone voices enter through the small gap of the wooden door.“You mean to tell me, that magic led him here?”
”I think so?”

”Impossible.”

“Hahaha, maybe the other covens set this trap for us.”

”For what Min? Wars ended centuries ago.”
Jungkook slowly rose from the bed. He’s sure now. There are multiple men in this worn and broken down castle with him. They could be here because they were gangsters or a cult. But as he hears Hoseok’s voice reply to the voices, he’s hoping that he won’t be a dinner to a cannibalistic cult or a victim of some weird gangs. The pain from his injuries gone, probably because of Hoseok’s medicine, he stood up from the bed and ever so slowly walked to the door. Opening the door turned out to be a challenge. Although it was worn, the wood was heavy. With a weak body Jungkook only managed to open it enough to fit his body but would likely give him some scratches. Slanting his body, he carefully exited the room. Inspecting his surroundings carefully he walked towards the staircase. The voices were louder now.
”Are you implying something Joon-ah?”

“Hmm I might be.”

”You’re insane. How many times have we been fooled by this kind situation hyung?”

”Tae-ah, it’s not that hard to hope.”

”Oh please. We have hoped for too long to the point that I gave up, hyung.”
When Jungkook made it to the middle of the staircase that’s when he lifted his head.Six men greeted his eyesight.”Hmm?” The one man who noticed him said. He was a smaller than the rest and with the lamp Hoseok was holding he could see his pale skin.Slowly one by one, their eyes met his and he might’ve been majorly injured but he was quite sure he wasn’t hallucinating
They have red eyes…

and they were all looking at him.
6 pairs of maroon coloured eyes were staring back at him.
”Oh, well, hello to you too, little human.”
