----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Amber was enjoying her time at the public pool, swimming and playing with her friends. She jumped off the diving board, doing flips and tricks in the air before landing with a splash in the water. She surfaced, gasping for air and laughing. Her friends cheered and asked for her to do it again. She agreed, excited to show off her skills once again. She climbed back up the ladder to the diving board, taking a deep breath before launching herself into another somersaulting jump. But as she reached the peak of her jump, her foot slipped on the wet surface of the board.Amber plummeted towards the water below with a terrified scream. The water rushed up to meet her, and she could feel it swallowing her whole. The force of the impact forced the air from her lungs, and she quickly began to sink like a rock beneath the surface. The world above turned into a murky, distorted blur as she desperately tried to swim back up to the light. Her friends, who had been watching, immediately noticed that something was wrong. They shouted her name and started to dive into the water, desperately trying to find her in the dark blue depths. The water was too opaque for them to see very far, and despite their best efforts, they couldn't find any sign of Amber. Frustrated and terrified, they desperately flailed their arms through the water, hoping to touch her.But as time passed, it became clear that their search was futile. Amber's body was nowhere to be found. The pool manager was quickly informed and divers were called in to search, but even they came up empty handed.A somber mood spread over the pool as word spread of the lost swimmer. Parents gathered their children and hurried them out of the pool, their faces pale with worry. The news stations soon caught wind of the tragic accident and reported on it that evening. The whole community mourned the loss of the young girl, and many wondered how such a tragedy could have occurred.
