Animation VS. Animator.
Suffice it to say, the name has grown over the course of the year it had been out.Broadcast to networks across both the outernet and human streaming sites, it's reputation as the only film to focus on strained relations between the two species has been praised worldwide. And though the stick figure playing victim in that first installment has retired, that didn't stop the directors from taking viewer's reactions to heart. The writers started their work immediately.  "Do you ever find yourselves surprised by how far your series has come?""In what way?" Saffron asks."All the spinoffs?" Forrest adds."One hundred percent." Orange answers certainly, and everyone else bursts out laughing."What? Like any of us were expecting the series to gain so much, like, depth? So much- meat?""Meat?" Forrest repeats, eyes wide."Shut up, you know what I mean!""We honestly weren't expecting our career to leave stickfight.com anytime soon." Skye answers, bringing the cast's attention back to the matter at hand. "We were all very grateful for the opportunity, the change of pace, but we expected it to end after Animation VS. Youtube.""Of course, I'm eternally glad I've gotten to work with these guys for as long as I have, as much as I have." Orange makes sure to add. "But looking back, we weren't expecting as much out of this as what we got.""How did you all feel about working so closely with a human?""Nervous." Crimson answers quickly. "Who wouldn't be? The divide between our species is obvious.""We're glad to say we've made significant progress in bridging that gap. Alan's a really great friend." Skye smiles dazzlingly."Right, right." The interviewer nods along. "And Orange, how do you feel about the theory that your character is a reincarnation of The Chosen One?"Orange hesitates. "Uh...""Okay, so here's how the series ends-""SAFFRON NO-"  When Orange first arrives onset to meet his castmates, he's not sure he expects them to be so... approachable.Well-known in their performances in the outernet's popular stickfight.com, Orange pictures a different aura around them. Something with a bit more untouchability to it.He doesn't expect the blue stick figure with the downright maternal attitude to run straight up to him, hug him enthusiastically, and grin so warmly as she greets him."Hi, welcome!" She says. "So nice to meet you! I'm Skye."She puts out her hand and Orange shakes it with what he hopes presents as confidence."Skye, stop hogging the new kid!" Another voice sounds out, and a green figure rounds the corner with a red and a yellow."Just preparing him!" Skye shouts back."Preparing me?" Orange whispers, cringing at how their voice cracks."I swear to actual god, I'm the only sane person here-" Skye whispers back, quickly reassuring when she sees the grimace on her new acquaintance' face. "Don't worry though, we're all really nice.""Okay!" The yellow one yells, clasping her hands in front of her. "Tell. Us. Everything."Thus begins the most stressful icebreaker Orange has ever experienced in his life.  "You want me to headbutt this thing?" Orange clarifies, feeling the sturdy outer wall of his castmates' website. "That seems dangerous.""It's perfectly safe." The director states blandly."Can't I just like, kick it or something instead?"Saffron gets a running start and charges straight into the wall, screaming loudly. It breaks under her weight...."Okay, I guess I'm headbutting it then."  "Oh hey, you new? I'm Green, nice to meet you-"Forrest turns around and bumps into the pole."Ow.""CUT!"Skye and Crimson crouch down beside their friend. Saffron cackles.  Crimson comes up to Orange between cuts. "So you have no fight training?""Uh, no..." Orange answers awkwardly."Like- none?""Mm-mm." Orange shakes their head."Damn."Saffron, eyes trained on Orange intensely, speaks. "I kinda wanna fight you.""Please don't. I'd lose.""Don't hollowheads have superpowers?" Forrest asks, and wow, everyone's a part of this conversation now, aren't they?"Well, yeah, but-""Guys, give him some space." Skye chimes in suddenly, guiding her friends away. "He's clearly overwhelmed."Orange sighs. Skye meets their eye, winking.  "I don't like this." Orange states, crouched down in his little box."You won't get hurt." The director assures flatly.Momentarily, Orange wishes he was on the other side, playing cards with the fighters."Aaaannd... action!"  Orange's hands shake on his gun. "I'm genuinely scared someone is gonna get shot.""I mean..." Saffron comes up behind them, and Jesus, how does she keep doing that? "You could give it to me."The smug, mischievous smirk on her face is all the encouragement Orange needs."...No... I think I'm good.""I think they've figured you out, Saff." Crimson states casually from afar.  ..."You mentioned in a previous interview that you felt quite nervous about working with these four." The interviewer addresses Orange. "What changed?"Orange chuckles softly. "I think, at first, I think I was most worried about infringing on the dynamic of the group. I mean, they had been working together for a decade, and I was just some kid coming in to work with them out of nowhere."They exchange a grin with their cast, familiar and comfortable. "Somewhere along the line, I think I just realized that how they were acting was their way of welcoming me in. Crimson asking me questions, or Saffron trying to recruit me as her evil sidekick-""Which I have yet to do, by the way." Saffron says passive-aggressively."Anyway... it was really just a matter of allowing myself to adjust to being part of the group. It was gradual, but it was definitely worth it."The interviewer smiles. "That's so wonderful. Now, how do you feel about giving us a preview for AvA season two?"Skye holds up three fingers, counting down silently, and when they all come down, the group yells out in sync.
"NO!"
