You and Christoph have been doing interviews for a while now, and they keep asking if you two are dating or seeing each other because of the chemistry you have together. Now, you and Christoph are backstage waiting for your names to be called onstage, meanwhile you’re chatting."I despise doing these interviews..." he mutters under his breath."It could always be worse. I’d say Colbert is one of the only ones who respects personal space and asks humane questions, unlike the others," I say softly, eating my cookie and wiping my mouth."Oh, definitely. I was here once; he really just talked about Vienna and being altar boys—didn't talk about the movie at all, which I enjoyed," he replies, fixing his coat."I’m silently praying he doesn’t talk about the movie," I mumble, standing up and smoothing the creases in my outfit.Just then, a backstage assistant tells us we have to go now. You hear Stephen call our names, and we walk out to cheers and applause from the audience. As we walk, Stephen helps me onto the small platform, and Christoph’s expression is one of envy—his lips are pursed, and his eyes are squinted. We both sit down and try to get comfortable as Stephen starts the interview."So lovely to have you on the show again, Christoph, and welcome, (Y/N)," he smiles, raising his question cards to arrange them on the table. Christoph is the first to answer."Yes, lovely to be here with the lovely (Y/N) by my side," he smiles at me, but it doesn’t reach his eyes. I just smile at Stephen and nod, thanking him for having me on the show."So, (Y/N), I hear you and Christoph went on a trip to Scotland and Vienna to scout locations for your movie. Tell me, how was that? And why did you choose Vienna in the end?" Christoph turns to me, as does Stephen, both waiting for my answer."Well, we ended up choosing Vienna because I fell in love with the city. I loved it so much that I actually decided to move there, so now Christoph and I are next-door neighbors," I chuckle, while Christoph smiles at me. Colbert just nods his head and asks another question."What is your favorite part of the city, besides Christoph?" he chuckles, and I laugh in response."I would say the Schönbrunn Palace. It is absolutely magnificent, and I had the honor of getting a private tour of it. I highly recommend visiting if you ever get the chance," I smile at him."And you, Christoph?" he asks."Honestly, besides getting to see (Y/N) through her window every morning, I would say my home is one of my favorite places," he laughs."Ah yes, but now let's talk about the new movie. It’s getting lots of Oscar buzz—how exciting is that? And here’s the first look at the movie poster," he says, pulling the poster from under the desk and showing it to the audience. They clap excitedly as Christoph and I smile at them."Oh well, yes, I mean, I directed the movie and co-star in it, but I think Christoph deserves the recognition. He helped me bring this story to life," I say, trying not to act like getting the Oscar wouldn’t mean the world to me.Christoph smiles and mouths, "You're too nice," placing one of his hands on his chest, signaling his gratitude."May we take a look at one of these Oscar buzz moments?" Stephen asks. We both nod, and a clip from the movie starts playing on the monitor.
-"You don't get to say that!" my character yells at Christoph's.
-"What!? That I can't love you like you love me? I'm sorry, sweetheart, but it's true," Christoph's character answers in a monotone voice laced with emotion.
-"Yes! You can't say that! I love you too much! Why can't you express it the way I do?" my character yells, exasperated.
Christoph's character goes silent. "I can't love you. You're too good for me. You're everything to me, and I can't give it back because I'm afraid I will break you! I love you to the point where I will break if you look at me like that one more time!" his character yells back, his voice breaking with the same exasperated expression. The clip then ends, and the audience cheers loudly, and me and Christoph are smiling at them.
