Elizabeth was quietly sipping on a cup of chamomile tea as she went over her chemistry notes for the umpteenth time that morning. She'd had just about enough trying to get the seeminglyendless amount of organic chemistry reaction pathways to stick, when the buzzing sound of her phone brought her attention away from her textbooks and to the device on her lap. looking back,she now wonders why she even bothered dealing with Ayame's anthics so early in the morning. Opening her message box exposed her to this;
From Ayame to you
Ellie-chan, this is an emergency! Hatori's on the verge of death!
Come quickly before it's too late!
Elizabeth stared at the text for one second...two seconds...and then immediately dialed Shigure's number to get to the end of what was surely gonna turn out as a big misunderstanding. She hoped.thankfully, Shigure ever the composed one of the two provided her with a much-needed clarification."Ah, Ellie-chan. lovely to hear from you. What can i do for you on this fine day." Shigure answered in his usual laid-back tone."Shigure. What's going on with Hatori? Ayame just sent me a text saying he's on the verge of death or something. Is he okay?" Elizabeth questioned."Oh, that. Don't worry. Haa-san is perfectly fine. He just has a cold" He paused for a second, as if thinking about something "Ayame, as usual, is just being a touch...melodramatic" He finallylet out.Elizabeth sighed in relief "A cold? Seriously?""Yep. Just a little fever, some coughing but nothing life-threatening. He'll be back to his usual self in no time."This time, Elizabeth groaned "Leave it to Ayame to make it sound like he's on his deathbed."Shigure chuckled "Oh, you know how he is. If he had it his way Hatori'd have a full orchestra playing his tragic life story by now." She could practically see Shigure smirking through the phone."This isn't funny. I didn't know if i'd have to rush over and...I don't know, prepare for the worst"Shigure laughed again despite her worries "Relax. The only emergency Hatori has right now is deciding which tea to drink." He then continued with this "Though, if you do want to come over, i'm sureHatori wouldn't mind the extra company""I'll come by and make sure Ayame doesn't bring anymore trouble""I'm sure Haa-san would appreciate that. Also, next time Ayame sends any more of his urgent messages, just remember: divide his level of drama by at least ten" He instructed."Got it. See you later."Elizabeth was finally reassured. Now that the initial panic had worn down, it was now time to pay a little visit to the poor Hatori.
