[The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon – Guests: Sam Wilson (The Falcon) & Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier)][Opening music plays, audience claps, Jimmy Fallon sits at his desk.]Jimmy Fallon: Alright, folks, we’ve got a dynamic duo with us tonight. Please welcome two of our favourite Avengers, Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes![The audience goes wild as Sam and Bucky walk out. Sam is smooth and relaxed, while Bucky has his usual cool, slightly brooding expression. They shake hands with Jimmy and take their seats.]Jimmy: Sam! Bucky! It’s so great to have you here!Sam Wilson: Always a pleasure, Jimmy.Bucky Barnes: Yeah… [deadpan] I'm super excited to be here.[Audience laughs.]Jimmy: Man, this is awesome! I mean, we’ve seen you two together a lot, but in real life, the chemistry’s off the charts. You guys have been through some wild stuff! How’s it going? How’s the whole partnership working out?Sam Wilson: Well, you know, it’s a work in progress. You put two good-looking guys together especially with this ass right here, sparks fly.Bucky Barnes: [Deadpan] I wouldn’t exactly call it “sparks.”Sam: [Laughs] Nah, we’re good. It’s like a buddy-cop movie no one asked for but everyone needed.Jimmy: [Laughing] I mean, I’d watch that! But seriously, Bucky, you’ve been doing this superhero thing a long time—does it ever get old?Bucky: [Shrugs] Saving the world? Nah. But dealing with this guy every day? That gets old real fast.Sam: [Smiling] Oh, don’t let him fool you. He loves me. He acts all tough, but every morning he’s like, “Sam, did you bring me coffee?” and I’m like, “Yeah, I got you, grandpa.”Bucky: [Shakes his head] It’s tea. I drink tea.Jimmy: [Laughs] So, you two have this whole odd couple thing going on! But what was it like after Steve stepped down? I mean, you’re both super close to him—did that change things between you guys?Bucky: [Nods, more serious] Yeah, Steve was the glue. He kept us grounded, kept the whole team focused. When he left, it felt like... you know, like losing a family member.Sam: Big shoes to fill. I mean, it wasn’t just about the shield—it was about what it stood for. But we’re keeping his spirit alive. Even though he’s probably out there on a beach somewhere, sipping piña coladas and not missing us at all.Jimmy: You think Steve’s really enjoying that retirement life?Sam: [Laughing] Oh, definitely. He’s probably got a fishing pole in one hand and a sunhat in the other.Bucky: [Smirking] He deserves it. He’s earned the break. Plus, the fewer missions I get stuck on with Sam, the better.Sam: [Mocking offense] Oh, so that’s how it is? You know, I didn’t ask to be your partner either, man. This whole “grumpy old man” vibe is a lot to handle.Bucky: [Nods] Likewise. I didn’t ask to babysit a guy with wings.Sam: [Laughing] Oh, speaking of babysitting, you wanna talk about real babysitting? Try dealing with Spider-Man on a mission. That’s a full-time job.Bucky: [Deadpan] Yeah, forget wings, at least you don’t have to chase a kid who swings from buildings quoting 'Star Wars.'Sam: Exactly. He’s like a puppy that learned how to climb walls. He’s everywhere—talking, webbing, asking a million questions. It’s like working with your little cousin who drank way too much sugar. We’re in the middle of a serious mission, and Peter’s in my ear going, “Hey Mr. Wilson, have you ever thought about how webbing works in space? What if I webbed the moon?” And I’m like, “Kid, we’re literally being shot at.”Bucky: And don’t even get me started on his “training.” Kid thinks just ‘cause he can stick to walls, he’s invincible. Meanwhile, I’m over here with a vibranium arm, trying not to crush him like a soda can.[Audience laughs.]Jimmy: [Laughs] So you’re saying Peter’s not exactly... low-maintenance on the team?Sam: Oh, no no no. He’s high-maintenance, premium high-maintenance. One second, he's talking about web fluid, the next he’s like, “Hey guys, you ever wonder what happens if I web-sling onto Thor’s hammer?”Bucky: [Shaking his head] And then he actually does it!Jimmy: [Laughing] Oh no, did that really happen?Bucky: [Deadpan] Yeah. You ever seen a god get webbed in the face? It’s awkward. Thor was not happy.Sam: [Grinning] The kid almost got lightning-ed for real.Jimmy: Wow! So, Peter’s out here pulling stunts with Thor. But... do you give him a hard time about being the new guy?Sam: [Smirking] Oh, we give him so much grief. You think we’re gonna let a 19-year-old swing in like he owns the place? Please. We don’t even let him touch the jet.Bucky: Yeah, that’s the rule. He gets no access to the jet.Jimmy: No jet privileges?Bucky: Nope. After what happened with the web-slinging and Thor’s hammer, we’re like, “Nah, kid, you’re in the backseat.”Sam: Backseat, with the seatbelt on.Jimmy: [Laughing] And how does Peter take all this? Does he get a little defensive?Bucky: Defensive? Nah. He tries to impress us, though. All the time.Sam: Yeah, like one time, we were sparring in the gym, and Peter’s like, “Hey, wanna see this new move I learned from Doctor Strange?” And then he tries to flip me into another dimension or something.Jimmy: What happened?Sam: [Laughing] He got his web stuck on Bucky’s arm and spent the next five minutes dangling upside down, trying to talk his way out of it.Bucky: [Nodding] Yeah, that was a good day.Jimmy: This sounds like the best buddy cop movie ever. But I have to ask—how do you handle Peter’s endless energy on missions?Sam: Coffee. Lots of coffee.Bucky: [Deadpan] Earplugs.Jimmy: [Laughing] So, Peter’s got the energy of a caffeinated squirrel and the attention span of one too?Sam: Oh, you nailed it, Jimmy. This kid’s trying to be everyone’s best friend, especially Steve. He’d be like, “Captain America, can I show you my new suit?” And I’m just standing there, like, “Dude, he doesn’t even know how to turn on a smartphone. Chill.”Bucky: [Smirking] He does the same thing with me. “Hey, Mr. Barnes, what’s it like to have a metal arm?” “Hey Mr. Barnes, how do you sleep with a metal arm?” Like… kid, I’m 106 years old. I don’t sleep. That’s how.Jimmy: [Grinning] So he’s a bit of a chatterbox, huh?Sam: He's a spoilt little brat.Bucky: Yea, stark's got him pampered up with his juice boxes and personal massage crew.Jimmy: It sounds like Peter’s a bit of a handful, but you guys seem to care about him.Bucky: [Pauses, mock-serious] Yeah, he grows on you. Like mould.Sam: [Laughing] Exactly, like a weird superhero mould. Don’t tell him though, his ego’s already the size of the Stark Tower.Bucky: It’s out of control.Sam: God, like just cause you have some freaky spider powers doesn't mean you're the hottest shit on the block.Jimmy: [Laughing] So, between saving the world and dealing with Peter Parker's energy—what's harder?Sam: [Without missing a beat] Peter. Definitely Peter.Bucky: [Nodding] Villains, I get. Peter? Hell No.Jimmy: [Laughing] Well, Peter Parker, if you’re watching this, just know Sam and Bucky have your back—even if they make you sit in the backseat with a seatbelt.Sam: Safety first, kid.Bucky: Always.Jimmy: [Grinning] Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, everybody![Audience erupts into applause as Sam and Bucky wave to the crowd.]Jimmy: Stick around, we’ll be right back after the break!
