Of all the places to be while off-duty, Neito Monoma’s bedroom was definitely not on Aiken’s list. They’d been over this a thousand times by now, discussing safewords and various other precautions (in a rare instance of Yasuo actually providing useful information for once), but she still wasn’t 100% settled with the idea of what they were about to do. Or more accurately, attempt. “You’re sure you can handle it?” she asked, keeping her eyes pinned to the sheets beneath her.Monoma smiled, a mix of cocky and sincere that oddly suited him. “Of course. Who do you think you’re talking to?”Aiken gritted her teeth, turning her head away. “Smug as ever, huh…” Even with the intimate setting, there was still a fair bit of distance between them. Aiken had settled herself against the headboard, while Monoma was sitting on the edge of the bed, as if waiting for her signal to move in closer.“Amaterasu…Aiken. Look at me.”Aiken forced herself to look him in the eyes. The amount of tenderness in his gaze brought a rare blush to her pale cheeks. “If it’s hurting me you’re worried about, it’ll be fine. We’ve prepared quite enough, haven’t we?”“Well…yeah,” she admitted, sitting up. “You know the safeword just in case though, right?”“Obviously. Now come on, gloves off.”Aiken obliged, peeling the dark leather off of her right hand. Once she’d set it aside, Monoma reached over and took her hand in his. He winced slightly from the contact, but the effect was only momentary as his quirk took effect. Slowly, his fingers tangled themselves with hers, sharing the heat of her—no, their—fireskin between the two of them. Aiken looked down at their clasped hands in slight awe. “How does it feel?”Monoma gave her hand an experimental squeeze, inching towards her. “Warm.”Her heartbeat stuttered at their close proximity. As someone who’d spent most of her life dreading touch because of her quirk, this kind of intimacy was completely foreign. Aiken’s blush deepened a shade or two. “How long does the copy thing last, anyway?” she murmured, glancing down at the sheets.Monoma chuckled. His free hand reached up to cup her chin, tilting her face to look back at him. Aiken felt her stomach drop at the unfiltered intensity of his gaze as it met her own crimson eyes, before slipping down to her lips. “As long as it matters~”Fingers lightly grazing her jawline, he surged forward and closed the gap, pressing his mouth on hers. Aiken inhaled sharply, and after a brief moment of uncertainty, she began to ease into the sensation of his lips. He took his time, savoring as much of her mouth as he could. Then, once he was sure she wouldn’t mind, he slipped in his tongue. Aiken let out an uncharacteristic squeak, nearly melting from the dopamine rush. As the kiss grew more heated, he untangled his other hand from hers and brought it up to her hip for support. Her body went on autopilot, hands coming to rest on the broadness of his chest.Breaking the kiss, Monoma let out a heavy sigh, blue eyes piercing and dripping with desire. “Fuck, darling…so good,” he whispered. Aiken felt heat fan out across her collarbone as he leaned down and began to travel lower, sending her already hazy thoughts into a spiral. Cohesive sentences had left her head, train of thought reduced to repeated bouts of more, more, more… Monoma, for his part, was too preoccupied with tasting her to notice. He placed another quick kiss on her lips, before moving along her jawline and kissing his way down to her neck. His left hand slid down from her cheek to snake around her waist, pulling her closer for better access.Aiken’s own hands were gripping the collar of his shirt like her life depended on it. And in a way, it did—every brush of heated skin left her breathing harder and heavier till she felt lightheaded. When his lips found a sweet spot at the nexus of her neck and collarbone, an involuntary moan spilled out of her, causing her partner to stop in his tracks. Monoma sat back up, eyes wide with surprise. “Did you just…?”She flushed, jerking her gaze in the opposite direction, but didn’t let go of him. “Just…never felt that before,” she muttered, never one to admit defeat so easily.Monoma blinked, before letting out a startled laugh. He always seemed to find her stubbornness endearing, for reasons Aiken herself would never understand. Seeing the opportunity to tease, he smirked. “Damn, I didn’t think you’d be so sensitive, Amaterasu~”That—! Aiken’s grip on his collar tightened, her ungloved hand starting to leave scorch marks on the wool. Oh, he was going to pay for that. Feeling the fabric heating in her grip, a devilish thought struck her. Moving quickly, she pushed him down onto the mattress and settled herself on top of him. A grunt of surprise escaped his throat when her hand slipped under his shirt. “You want sensitive?” she challenged, deftly prying the material off of his torso.“Alright then. Let’s get sensitive~”Her tone got a reaction, judging by the way he tensed beneath her. Monoma watched, transfixed, as she used her teeth to tear off her other glove before tossing it aside. Aiken turned her attention to his bare chest and arms. Though he was on the leaner side, he was fit and toned thanks to their weekly sparring sessions, among other…previous combat experience. She shook her head, quickly banishing the thought. The Final War was long behind them. They’d won. All that mattered was the here and now.Adjusting her position a bit, she reached down and gingerly placed a hand on his chest, just below his collarbone. A gentle heat enveloped her fingertips on contact—one of the many side effects of sharing her quirk with him like this. Slowly, she began to slide her hand down his torso. Monoma let out a pleased shudder in response. Taking that as initiative to continue, Aiken went further down, tracing the vague lines of his abs. His weren’t as defined as Kirishima’s or Tetsutetsu’s, but the subtle firmness of his stomach was almost comforting in its familiarity. She took her time, running both hands up and down his torso, straying to explore his arms a few times. The feeling of his skin, being able to touch him like this at all…fuck, it was intoxicating. Now and then she’d pause on certain areas, gently squeezing and dragging her fingers in circles. She wanted to commit every inch of him to memory. All the while, Monoma’s eyes had fluttered shut, face contorted in utter bliss. As their mutual pleasure high became more intense, Aiken grew bolder with her affections. Lacing her fingers with his, she leaned down and captured his lips in another kiss. He groaned, easily melting into the embrace. An idea struck her. She broke away for a moment, resting her forehead against his. “I need you to sit up for me.”Monoma readily obliged, shifting their position so that he was resting upright on his elbows, Aiken straddling his waist. She hummed appreciatively, resting a hand on the mattress to steady herself. When she bent back down, instead of the expected kiss, Aiken went straight for his neck. He let out a yelp, feeling her teeth graze the tender flesh, and she smirked triumphantly. “Now who’s sensitive, pretty boy~?”Christ, this woman. What had he done to deserve her? Not one to be outdone, he slipped one of his hands under her turtleneck. She flinched unconsciously, freezing up. “Hey, hey, it’s okay,” he soothed, gently rubbing circles into her skin with his thumb. She sighed in response, and the tension in her muscles eased up a bit. Monoma looked up at her, his gaze soft and almost pleading. “I’m here, Aiken. Let me take care of you.”After a brief indecision, she nodded, allowing him to rearrange their position once more. Now her back was against the headboard, pillows framing her body on either side. He knelt patiently in the space between her legs as she gingerly removed her shirt. Pulling it off at last, she set the material aside, exposing the sturdy black fabric of her sports bra. Monoma’s breath hitched audibly as his eyes raked over her torso. Aiken felt her entire body flush in response. She’d never envisioned herself as particularly sexy, but the raw adoration of his gaze turned her thoughts to slush.“Aiken…you…holy shit,” he murmured. “You’re beautiful.”The use of the word “beautiful” nearly made her go catatonic. This! This is what she’d always wanted!! For so long she’d craved the intimacy people wrote books about, and her volatile quirk had kept it way out of reach. Monoma’s face swam into view, awestruck and loving. What business did he have, making her feel so special? So wanted? So loved? Strong hands crawled seamlessly up her stomach, drawing a long exhale out of her. Aiken closed her eyes, letting the world be reduced to pure sensation. His fingers ghosted over her torso in much the same way hers had on him before. Slow, lingering kisses were once again trailing down her neck and upper chest. All the while, pleasured noises emanated from both of them. Monoma chuckled, the sound low and husky against her skin. “You smell so good…is every part of you this perfect…?”Aiken was about to fire back with her own flirty jab when she felt something off about his touches. When his right hand slid down to her stomach, the characteristic warmth of fireskin was noticeably absent. Her eyes shot open. His Copy was wearing off.“Red,” she blurted out in a panic. “Red, red, red!” Immediately he retracted his hands, eyes clouded with concern. Aiken fumbled for her gloves, hastily putting them back on. Once her hands were covered, she took Monoma’s and inspected them. Sure enough, his fingertips were pink, having already started to burn against her skin. She sighed, falling back onto the mattress. “Thought so…we went over the time limit.”Seeing her mood dampened, Monoma rolled over and laid down next to her. “Hey, don’t beat yourself up over this!” Aiken side-eyed him grumpily, but didn’t reply. Even in a sullen mood, there was something so endearing about her. An involuntary chuckle spilled out, earning him a wounded glare from his partner. Her hands were shaking, he realized, and his expression softened. Reaching over, he gingerly took one of her gloved hands.Aiken flinched. “Do you have a death wish?!” she hissed, finally turning to face him.He shrugged. “Maybe.”“You—oh my god.” Had most of her arm not been uncovered, she would’ve hit him. “You’re insufferable.”Monoma just smiled, twining his fingers with hers. “I meant what I said, y’know. You’re beautiful, Aiken. Beautiful, strong, and so much more.”Aiken blushed crimson in response, and he gave her hand an affirming squeeze. Feeling her pulse beginning to steady again, he continued. “It was our first time. Sure, it wasn’t necessarily perfect, but that’s part of it. Don’t blame yourself for something you can’t control.”Letting his words sink in, she stayed quiet for a long time. He’s got a point. Skinship between them would always be a safety hazard—that’s why they had a safeword in the first place—but, in a way, it was worth it. When they were younger, so many people outside her own class had written her off as just another burnout. A villain waiting to happen. And yet something in that demented head of his didn’t think so. He’d actually taken interest in her beyond “the loner from 1-C”. Even with all their constant competition, they’d managed to find a sense of common ground with each other. She glanced down at their clasped hands. He’d trusted her so far. Why should she doubt him in return? Finally, Aiken allowed herself a tentative smile. “You’re right. It was an accident, after all. No use getting too worked up about it.”Monoma laughed. “There we go! That’s the spirit!” His words were met with an affectionate eyeroll, but he didn’t let that sour the moment. “Besides,” he added, leaning dangerously close to her ear, “who says we can’t finish this later?~”The clear implication in his tone sent a shiver down her spine. Before she could reply, Monoma rolled over and pushed himself up off the bed, letting go of her hand in the process. Aiken let out a whine at the loss of contact, sitting up. As he put his shirt back on, she blindly felt at the sheets for her turtleneck. Feeling her fingers close around the fabric, she pulled it into her lap and looked up to find her partner smiling at her from the door. “What?”He chuckled, eyes drinking in the sight of her one last time. “Nothing. Just admiring our handiwork,” he teased, shooting her a wink before heading out the door. Aiken shook her head and watched him go. Grabbing her shirt, she stood up to collect her shoes. When she crossed the room, she caught sight of herself in the mirror above Monoma’s dresser and did a double take. She came in for a closer look, and sure enough, an assortment of hickeys littered her neck and collarbone.A stunned laugh slipped out of her. “Gonna be fun having to explain that at work tomorrow.” But tonight, I almost don’t mind, she thought, admiring the love bites somewhat selfishly. She could get used to this.
