"The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hip hooray, the sun has got his hat on and he's coming out today," Spot Splatter Splash said as she was under a lit lamp, practicing her lines. "I have this friend Spot right here, who can be very funny at times," Mittens Fluff 'N' Stuff told the viewers as Spot was practicing. "Today, Spot is very excited because she's going to find out what part she will be in the play about the seasons later today," Mittens said as she took a bottle of Mountain Dew Game Fuel Citrus Blackberry out of the fridge. Spot then took a seat at a table. "You know, Mittens, I know absolutely surely that Bea Spells-a-Lot is gonna choose me to be the sun," Spot said as she took her seat. This started off an imagination sequence with Spot's face being on a sun."You see, the sun is very nice. It is warm and helps things to grow and makes people happy, and the sun is always there, to watch all over the seasons, all the time. And that means the sun will be in the play from the very very beginning all the way through the middle until the very, very last end. Bea must choose me to play the sun," Spot explained to Mittens, as the imagination sequence ended there. "But, Spot, there are lots of parts in a play about the seasons. What about a summer strawberry? That would be just as much fun as being the sun, wouldn't it?" Mittens asked. "Uh-uh, don't be silly, Mittens. There are far too many other strawberries, and what if I get squished?" Spot asked as she imagined herself as a strawberry. "There is only one sun, and that is me," Spot told Mittens. "But, Spot, what if Bea doesn't choose you to play the sun?" Mittens asked. "But I will be the sun, Mittens, because yellow is one of my favorite colors, remember? I love yellow, so I will be the sun," Spot answered.Turns out, Spot was not picked to play the sun, as she sadly drags along her bag outside on the way back to her place. "I am not the sun, I am not the sun," Spot repeated to herself as she was making her way back. Spot had an egg with fries on her plate in the arrangement of a sun. "I am not the sun. Bea Spells-a-Lot didn't pick me to be the sun," Spot told Mittens, all sad. "Spot's other Lalaloopsy friends gave her a hug, and so did I, but nothing would cheer her up. Spot was not chosen to be the sun," Mittens narrated as Spot was shown all upset about not being picked as the sun.Spot went to sleep, and then the next morning, when it was nice and bright out, Spot pulled up the curtain and let the light in her room. While Mittens was eating a bowl of cereal, Spot was looking behind the couch for some stuff and took a yellow dress off a doll. Spot then went to go and get some yellow clothing from the drawers to put together a sun costume for her play. Spot even went ahead and grabbed a yellow sunflower and some yellow yarn. "Spot, can you tell me what you're doing?" Mittens asked Spot. "Well, Mittens, I'm looking for everything I need for my costume for Bea's play," Spot answered. "But Bea hasn't given you a part yet. You only know you're not playing the sun," Mittens told Spot. "But Mittens, once Bea sees me in my sun costume, she would see that I have to be the sun. And the things I need to make my beautiful sun costume are..." Spot said as she was about to show all the things she had gathered for the costume. "Yellow gloves, Feather Tell-a-Tale's feather scarf, my face paint and stickers, a big yellow hat, this yellow leotard, and yellow tights," Spot said as each item appeared on the screen. Spot was then shown carrying the box full of yellow clothing items to her bedroom. "Please, Mittens, do not come into the bedroom 'cause I'll be very very extremely busy," Spot said as she brought her things into her bedroom then closed the door.Spot was putting together her costume in her bedroom as Mittens went to take a listen. "Poor, poor Bea Spells-a-Lot," Mittens thought to herself as she listened to Spot put her costume on. Mittens then built a castle resembling Cinder Slippers' castle using purple Lego bricks. "There," Mittens said as she placed another brick on her model of Cinder's castle. "I'm nearly really ready!" Spot called from her bedroom. "Coming, Mittens!" Spot said out loud as the sound of Spot's bedroom door caused Mittens' Lego model to shake a little, but it luckily didn't break apart. A bunch of yellow feathers flew around Mittens' building space, meaning that Spot was still insistent about wanting to play a sun so she put on an all-yellow costume anyway."Ta-da! The sun has got his hat on! Hip hip hooray!" Spot said as she showed off her all-yellow "sun" costume to Mittens. Mittens giggled at the costume that Spot got on. "Are you going fishing, Spot?" Mittens asked. "I think I need more round," Spot said as she picked up a green pillow off a chair and put it under her yellow outfit so she can be round like the sun is. "That's much better. Are you going fishing now?" Mittens asked Spot as she giggled. "No, I'm the sun! The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hip hooray!" Spot answered. "Spot, I'm really really sorry, but you are not the sun," Mittens told Spot. "Oh, yes, I am, Mittens. The sun has got his hat on and he's coming out to play!" Spot said in response. "Spot, you are absolutely not the sun," Mittens told Spot, reiterating her statement from earlier. But Spot still thinks she's the sun. "Oh yes I am, Mittens. The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hip hooray! The sun has got his hat on and he's coming out to play!" Spot said, again ignoring what Mittens is telling her. "Spot, what are you doing?" Mittens asked Spot. "I'm shining on everyone, Mittens, and I'm shining on you!" Spot answered. "Okay, Spot, listen. You are not the sun," Mittens told Spot. "I am!" Spot said. "You're not!" Mittens said. "I am," Spot said, still ignoring what Mittens told her earlier. Mittens just sighed at this. "You are not the sun because there is only one sun in the sky, so there is only one sun in Bea's play," Mittens explained to Spot. "Yes, and that's me, Mittens," Spot said, still showing off her costume.Spot was shown dragging her bag back home again, all sad just like earlier. "I'm a leaf, I'm a leaf, I'm a leaf," Spot said as she was heading back to her place. "Not even a green leaf, a brown one," Spot said as she was going back to her room. "Spot's not the sun, she is a leaf," Mittens told the viewers as she was sitting and reading, while Spot was laying on the couch upside down. "A brown and very boring autumn leaf," Spot added. "You know, being an autumn leaf is just as important as being the sun," Mittens told Spot. Spot just groaned in response. "I mean, just think, without autumn we wouldn't have Halloween, or witches, or big piles of leaves to jump in," Mittens said as the respective things she said were displayed on the screen. "See, without autumn, we wouldn't have any of these things," Mittens told Spot. "But Mittens, I'm not autumn, I'm just a leaf. I'm a boring brown autumn leaf, and I don't like brown that much," Spot said. "But Spot, leaves change color then they fall from the trees," Mittens said. "Yes, hundreds of millions and trillions of them. Anyone can be a leaf, Mittens," Spot said."Well, if I was in Bea's play, I would definitely, definitely want to be a leaf," Mittens told Spot. "Why, Mittens? They're so boring," Spot asked. "You are joking, aren't you? Leaves are not boring, Spot. Look," Mittens said as an imagination sequence started with them popping out of some leaves. "Leaves keep animals out of the sun," Mittens told Spot as she showed how it's done. Lions could be seen under the shady leaves. "Hmm, so the animals are not so hot," Spot said as she saw how the leaves gave the lions a shady spot to lay under. "And that's not all, Spot. Leaves make beds for birds," Mittens said as she showed Spot birds playing in a nest made of leaves. "It's actually called a nest, Mittens," Spot whispered to Mittens. It then started raining in the imaginary sequence. "And Spot, leaves are very useful when it rains, because they make umbrellas for insects and creepy crawlies," Mittens said as she showed Spot how leaves are used when it's raining. "You know, that is very useful," Spot thought after seeing how the insects use the leaves. Mittens and Spot were then shown riding the leaves and floating down. "And Spot, leaves change color from green to yellow and orange, to deep red and purple, and maroon and chestnut," Mittens said as the leaves were shown changing color to the respective colors that she was saying. "You know, Mittens, that is a very nice thing about a leaf. I am a chestnut leaf!" Spot said as the two were still floating on down. After the imagination sequence ended, Mittens was shown carrying a box of brown leafy items for Spot's costume for the play. "Hmm, leaves are really extremely special, aren't they, Mittens?" Spot asked. "Yes, Spot, they are," Mittens answered. Spot and Mittens were then shown piecing the brown leaves and papers together to craft Spot's costume, and also coloring and painting things brown in the process. After putting the costume together, the play was ready to begin. Mari Golden Petals was the one playing the sun. "All the seasons are here today to tell us how they work and play," Mari said to start the play off. "Winter is the time for snowmen," Mari said as Mittens was shown playing the snowman in this play. "Spring, blossom on the trees," Mari said as Blossom Flowerpot was shown playing the blossoms on the trees. "Summer, it's all hot and fruity," Mari said as Berry Jars 'N' Jam was shown playing the summer fruit. "And autumn, where leaves whirl and fly," Mari said as Spot, the autumn leaf, came into the play."Yes, yes, yes, I'm a leaf, I'm a leaf!" Spot said as she went up on the stage. The audience all cheered for Spot's role as a leaf in the play. "I'm only the biggest leaf in the whole wide forest. I'm a leaf, I'm a leaf!" Spot said as she jumped on over to Mari, as Mari giggled. "Bigger than even the sun I was, Mittens. Very extremely special leaf," Spot told Mittens. Mittens, still in her snowman costume, snuggled Spot the leaf as the two had fun in the couch to end off this Lalaloopsy adventure.
