Travis stood in the door of the bathroom for a few seconds, knocking as soft as he could due to his knuckles being bruised and trashed.
"Sal, are you okay?" The way his name slid off his mouth felt weird, knowing he barely managed to speak wihtout shame. After all, he was the reason it all happened in the first place. It wasnt until a few more minutes that a hoarse and sore voice spoke up.
"I'm fine,
Travis." Did his voice always sound like that? So... hurt.
"I´m sorry, Sal."
His pride meant nothing now, his taughts and beliefs were useless now. He loved the freak, weirdo, and unadapted teenager who was hiding behind the door, the guy who he chased for months to make his boyfriend.
"Stop it."
"Please open, you know I didn´t meant to."
Silence filled the room until movement was heard from the inside, the lock going loose and inmediately, the taller boy made his way in, closing it once again. Sal was sitting on top of the toilet seat, knees hugged to his chest as the cracked porcelain mask hung loose, revealing a small part of his eyebrows (or what was left of them). One of his pupils looked up as the other stayed still, looking over at Travis. "I shouldn´t have said that about your dad, you know?" "I shouldn´t have punched you, you know?"
They both chuckled a bit, but the blonde seemed worried, on edge. "You´re weak as a little girl, I can´t blame you tho, I am stronger."
"Is that supposed to make me fell better, Travis?
Not to be like, rude, but you suck." Travis stiffled a laugh, rolling his eyes, letting out a sight. "Tell me something I don´t already know, Face."
Sal just relaxed, but still felt a bit bad, scared. Travis slowly kneeled in front of him, his knees aching because of the cold tiles, his back aching from the burning bruises he had. But regardless, he did. The bluenette was surprised and tried to push him up again, not being able to. "Get up,
Travis. You don´t need to do this."
"I know you don´t like when I kiss or hug you when upset, and you hate even more when I try to blame it on myself even though it was my fault." He sighted, looking up. "It has... taken me some time to get used to all of this, to the fact that we are no longer friends, but something more fragile." Travis bit his lip softly, and when Sally lowered his leg, he rested his face on one of his knees.
He remembered all of the times Sal had told him he loved him, but he couldn´t bring himself to say it back. Sal on the other part, was stunned from hearing all of this just now. Even as a partner, Travis was still very private and closed off, mostly hiding on the shadows of Sal´s affectionate remarks.
"I need you to know this, and I-"
"Don´t do this now, not because you think you owe it to me. Don´t you dare do this to me now."
Sal´s breath hitched as Travis carried on.
"I love you,
Sal Fisher."
Suddenly and abruptly after the words left his mouth, the scarred lips of the chubby boy were on his own dry ones, leaving a soft but passionate kiss. "I love you,
Travis Phelps."

Travis did end up paying for the crack of the prosthesis.
