Derek’s POVDerek Hale has lived in the best way he can with the cards that have been given to him.His family has been burned in a fire, when he was the young age of seven, killing everybody inside other than his two cousins, 8 year old Peter and Cora who was six at the time. The cops came to the conclusion that it was an accident, and the three remaining Hale children didn’t know any better, so that’s the way they lived the rest of their lives to believe. One deputy in particular, Deputy Stilinski, couldn't let the kids become orphans, so he took them in on his own, as he was alone all the time himself, as his wife had passed away not that long ago.He learnt about them being werewolves, as they had no control given their age, he found it fascinating and learnt more about it so he could understand them as best as he could. At the age of 16, Derek was trapped in a circle of mountain ash, with Peter and Cora stuck with him, they watched as a random hunter had a gun pointed at Noah’s head, which made the middle Hale see red, he used all of his might, and crossed the barrier between inside the mountain ash, and the outside. He became a True Alpha.A few weeks prior to this, he and his friends went camping. He, along with his cousins, told Boyd, Erica, Allison, Scott, Jackson, Lydia and Isaac what he was. Yet the responses he got weren’t what he was expecting. As they all started to ask questions when they saw the Hales shift, he told them to quieten down as he was sure that some of them asked if they could be turned, yet he couldn’t be sure as they were all speaking on top of each other. He went round the group where the circle of chairs that they were sitting on was formed, and asked each one of them if they had questions. He first went to Boyd, “Boyd, how do you feel about this?”He was silent for a second, and then asked, “Is it true that once you get the bite, you become part of a pack?”Derek nodded, so he took that as his cue to carry on, “Well, I want you to turn me, if you can, that is.”The Alpha furrowed his eyebrows, “I can, but Boyd, this can be dangerous, you could die from the bite-” His cousin Peter interrupted, “It is really rare though.”Derek grunted, “Yes, but it is still a risk, small or not. If you want the bite you must be serious about it, because there is no cure which means you cannot back out of this.”Boyd nodded, “I have never been so sure in my life.” He paused and sighed, “Look man, I’ve been really lonely ever since my sister died, my gram can’t even look at me, it would be nice to be part of an actual family.Derek sighed and nodded, “Okay, I’ll think about it.” he then turned to Erica, “What about you?”Erica shrugged, “I mean,” she took a hair strand behind her ear, looking smaller than she ever does, as she usually makes herself look really intimidating and scary, “This could save my life, literally. My epilepsy has gone worse and my seizures have been harsher than ever. I presume that healing is quicker for werewolves?”Derek nodded, “It is, yeah.” He then turned to Allison, “You?”The girl gave Derek a small smile, “I think I’m okay, thanks, I don’t need fangs when I’ve got my bow and arrow.”Derek chuckled, “Fair enough.”He then asked around everyone else in the group, Scott said yes because of the fact that his asthma has gone worse, Jackson because, well, he just wants it, Isaac said yes so he has better reflexes and he can defend himself better as, ‘height advantage will only get me so far’, and he was surprised when Lydia said that she was a banshee, and then all eyes turned to her and she squinted, “No, I can’t turn anybody into banshees, it doesn’t work like that.” She then talked about how she noticed things were odd when she was 13, and how her mom sat her down and explained their ancestry. One year since then, Derek has bitten his friends that had wanted the bite, and it all turned out to be a success, they even managed to rebuild the Hale house with sound proof walls, especially since his pack all live with him now. They used some of the money from their family’s savings, and none of them felt guilty about it as in the end, they knew this is what their family would have wanted from them.Derek has his own room, Peter and Noah have their own room too, Cora shares a room with Isaac. Yeah. They’re a thing too now. Jackson and Lydia share, Erica and Boyd share a room, and Scott and Allison share a room too. Even Scott’s mom, Melissa, sometimes comes over when she wants too, she seemed confused and maybe a little frightened at first about the whole werewolf situation, but once Scott told her that it has cured his asthma, she has been eternally grateful ever since. Most of Derek’s friends aren’t close with their parents at all, so when they said they wanted to move out their parents either didn’t give a shit, or, they landed into a full blown argument until they were ‘kicked out’ of the house. It was an awkward conversation when the pack found out that Chris Argent has known about werewolves all along, yet he swore that he follows by a code, and he turned his back on his father and sister (Gerard and Kate) long before he came to Beacon Hills with Allison. Derek listened to his heartbeat as he explained himself and it stayed steady the whole time, so he knew that Chris was telling the truth. Chris visits them more often, he and Noah are near enough best friends now. The pack was over the moon when he was finally appointed to the Sheriff’s role. So, yeah, Derek would say he’s done well. The new school year is today, which means that Peter is becoming a senior, Derek is becoming a Junior whilst the rest of the pack are becoming sophomores. They were all excited, as school was no problem for them, they hung out during lunch or breaks, the boys played lacrosse whilst the girls screamed in the crowd, they were living the American dream.Even though everyone had their own cars, Derek drove half of them to school in his Camaro whilst Jackson insisted on taking the others in his Porsche, he declared to show it off for everyone else to see, even though owning that car was nothing but old news. The boys parked their cars next to each other and they all stood around in their usual parking spot, talking about how this year’s lacrosse season would be, and talking pure shit about their rival school Devonford Prep.Derek got a few hello’s from girls here and there, even a few guys. He became very popular as he was the star player of the lacrosse team, and captain. As he turns back to look at his pack, after giving a girl his number, he sees a black impala coming into the school parking lot.Isaac whistled while turning to look at Jackson, “You got some competition, bud.”Jackson scoffed, “As if. Their car is so fucking old school.”Lydia rolled her eyes and swatted Jackson on the chest, “Be nice. They’re new.”“How do you know?” Erica asked, which the banshee replied by saying, “I keep track of everyone in school, duh.”“That’s normal.” Peter grunted. All of their eyes landed on the new kid, hold up, new kids as they got out of the car. There was three of them and they stood around their car, the one who was driving, who is blonde and had a mean scowl that could give Derek a run for his money, leant on his car and said, “I can’t believe we had to leave Texas, man, I left Eloise stranded.”One of the other boys, whose skin was paler in comparison to the other two, and the smallest one of the bunch said, “Leave it off, Dean, she was cheating on you anyway.”Dean walked up to the other boy and spat, “Say that again bitch I dare you.”The one who Derek hadn’t heard talk up until now, he was middle in height and had brown mushroom hair got in between them both and said, “Jesus, guys, we’ve been here two minutes give it a rest.” He paused and looked at them both, “Dean, Stiles, you know why we’re here, don’t get distracted so we can get this hunt over and done with.” Then they walked inside, presumably to the reception to get their time tables.“Hunt?” Derek whispered to himself.“What?” Allison asked, as she, and Lydia could not hear the conversation the three boys had.“They’re hunters.. they’re here on a hunt.” Cora said quietly, as if she was scared that the hunters would hear her.Peter growled, which made the alpha tell him to calm down, and it seemed like the pack’s mood had sunken. Hunters would do that to you, ruining the mood. They need to disappear.“What do we do?” Scott asked.“We kill them.” Jackson said, which made Peter show his agreeance, which then made the pack shout at one-another at what the plan should be until Derek raised his voice, “Shut the fuck up all of you.”The pack stayed quiet whilst Derek was in thought, “First, we find out their names, then we give it to Chris, see if he knows them. I don’t care if you disagree, that’s what we’re doing until we have a plan at hand.”Some of the pack agreed, some of the pack disagreed, yet Derek knew it was best to ask questions first, then shoot.— — — — —For his first lesson, Derek had history. Low and behold who came into his class, one of the new kids.Mr Johnson looked at the door and said to the rest of the class, “This is our new student, Sam Winchester, please make him feel welcome. Sam, would you like to say anything, just so the class can get to know you.”Sam glanced at the teacher and then looked around the class, as if looking for danger, Derek couldn’t help but give him a dirty look as their eyes met, the new kid noticed as he furrowed his eyebrows, but he looked back at Mr Johnson and simply said, “No.”The teacher wasn’t expecting that clearly, as he cleared his throat, “Okay, well, I hope you enjoy school life with us.”The hunter didn’t reply and sat down, two rows in front of Derek, to his right. The alpha could see his face, partially, making sure to keep an eye on him. As he paid close attention to the boy, he noticed the hunter was quite skinny, lean maybe? Derek thought he could easily take him, but he also remembered no matter how small or big someone’s frame is, it all depends on skills and techniques. He doesn’t know about the hunters, but he and his pack were alright at fighting but everyone had their constraints. If Derek said so himself, he doesn’t have any negatives, he’s big, stocky, he lands a heavy punch, but he’s also quick with it. Unlike Boyd, whose frame is nearly as big as Derek’s, and his punches may be heavy too, but they’re also slow. Erica is agile, swift, but even with werewolf senses, she does not have the right aim. Isaac and Cora are similar to Erica in this aspect, although his cousin is more advanced as she was born as a werewolf. Scott would be a really good fighter if he didn’t back out of fights and wasn’t such a pussy towards violence, Lydia is badass but she can only do so much; Allison is the same. His cousin, Peter, is his closest competitor, nearly as good as himself, but Derek outranks him because he is stronger and has quicker reflexes. He wonders to himself what training Sam and the others have had.He was knocked out of his train of thoughts when he heard one of his teammates, Josh, try to talk to Sam, “Hey, new kid, what are you doing here?”He replied with a plain answer whilst looking at his notebook on his table, “It’s Sam.” Cocky much.Josh kissed his teeth, “You didn’t answer my question.”Sam lifted his head and turned to Josh, who was sitting right next to him, which means that Derek could try and get a good look at his face, “I don’t have to answer, do I?” He looked bored and done with the conversation. His teammate scoffed, “Whatever.” Well that was boring and short, Derek was kind of hoping to find out some stuff about him, it doesn’t matter, sooner or later he will be pummeling him and the other two boys’ faces in.The bell rang, which happened quicker than he expected, he was long in his train of thoughts, he just needed to get to his next class. He made sure to go next to Sam and barge into him, making his notebook drop on the floor.Sam bent down to pick it up as Derek hissed, “Watch it,” then he made his way to his next class. Yes, he knew he was being petty, but he wanted to do so much more than shoulder barge him. They were here to hunt his pack. They will die. Painfully. He didn’t have Sam in his next class. As he made his way to the cafeteria, he saw all of his pack sitting at their usual table, right in the middle of the hall. He wasted no time saying to them, “One of the new kids is in my class, Sam Winchester.”Jackson replied, “They must be brothers because one of them, Stiles, is in my class.”“What the hell is a Stiles?” He said whilst pulling a face.He shrugs, “Beats me.”Peter got involved, “Well, I was talking to my friend Lucas in second period, and he said a new kid called Dean Winchester is in my class, he said that he was such an ass he only stayed in the class for ten minutes max before walking out.”Lydia scoffed whilst murmuring how childish that is as Derek said, “So they must be brothers. We need to let Chris now.”Allison nodded, “I already told him there’s another hunter family in town, he’s not pleased as most hunters know that Beacon hills is watched for by the Argents.”Cora rolled her eyes, “Now the Winchesters are here, so, what do we do about this.”Isaac shrugged, “We already said before, we’re going to ask Chris about this first.” Derek could tell that his cousin was about to protest, so he just cut her out and said, “Listen, Cora, we need to know how many people they’ve brought with them, it might not just be their parents, there could be others too,”They all sighed, knowing how serious this could become. This could become a war.— — — — —His pack met at the end of the day and discussed the situation with the Winchesters before Chris came by. “So, are you guys in any other classes with them?”Peter shrugged, “Dean is in my physics and politics, but he only turned up to politics, and when Mrs Metcalf introduced him to my class he was so snarky. Jackson’s got some competition.”Jackson squawked at that, whilst Boyd replied, “We all share the same chemistry class,” he indicated to everyone on the pack who are sophomores, “and Stiles shares that class with us.”Isaac laughed, “Yeah and Mr Harris hates him already.” Jackson and Erica both laughed at that. This was when the door opened, Chris and Noah came through the door, they obviously had their own key as they are practically family.Chris must have filled the other man in as Noah wasted no time in saying, “So who is this mysterious hunter family then?”Derek took a deep breath, “The Winchesters.” What seemed weird to him was that Chris now had his mouth gaping open, “What? How bad are they?”Chris shook his head, “They’re ruthless, or so I’ve heard. They aren’t that friendly with other hunters, the father, John Winchester, talks to probably three hunters, other than his boys of course.”“Do you think you can find out more information about them?” Scott asked.Argent nodded, “Oh I definitely will, a lot of people don’t like that family, whether it’s because they’re intimidated by them or if it’s something else, if they have information about them then they will happily tell me what that is.”Derek nodded, “That’s good.”It was silent for a second until Erica said, “I don’t get why people would be intimidated by them.”“What do you mean?” The sheriff asked. The blonde shrugged, “Well, just based on what I saw this morning, the oldest one, Dean, has muscle on him and height, but Derek and Boyd are bigger, Sam is shorter than Dean and he’s skinny, then Stiles is the shortest and he looks weak as shit.”Chris chuckled, “That may be, but, they have definitely trained to be tough fighters, especially with John as their father. He is a determined man.”Peter sighed, “Seeing as you know the most about them, how do you think we should approach this?”Chris was in thought, until he said, “Well, I don’t know a lot about them, but if I had to say a plan, I’d say try to become their friend.”Derek furrowed his eyebrows, “Hold up, what?”“Think about it Derek, you become their friend, you find out more information about them once they open up to you, and then you send them on their way when the time is right.”“And when will that be?” He questioned.“You’ll just know.”Peter grumbled, “This isn’t a very thoughtful plan.”Derek sighed, “Okay, how about this then, we will not interact with them until we know more.”Chris nodded, “That seems like a good plan, there’s nothing else that we can do for now unfortunately. Although, I will be able to find things out by tonight.”“Really?” Derek perked up, he wasn’t expecting it to be this soon.“One hundred percent, give me three hours.” — — — — —Chris’ POV2 hours later and Chris was getting nowhere. He was sat in the office in the Hale house, so he could comfortably write stuff down in the soundproof room without ears everywhere. Then it clicked in his head, Rodney Sweeney. He remembers how he went to a hunter’s gathering a few years back, and that hunter was ranting about the Winchesters. He looked through the phone book of hunters, until he found his name, thankfully Rodney answered.“Chris Argent, how long has it been? 6 years?” Rodney cheered.Chris chuckled, “I don’t know how the hell you remember the exact amount of years ago it was, but anyway, I need to ask you something.”“Ask away.”“What do you know about the Winchesters?”Rodney paused, “How long have you got?”“All fucking day.” Chris replied.— — — — —Derek’s POVDerek saw Chris walk out of the office, and stood in front of the pack, including Melissa who was already filled in on what was going on.“The guy was on the phone to me for about an hour and twenty minutes, he even told me their zodiac signs for fuck sake he knows that much.” Chris exasperated.“Ooo what are they?” Lydia asked.Everyone gave her a look, expressing how unimportant this all was, until Derek said, “Tell us everything you know about them?”“Even their birthdays?” Chris asked.“Even their birthdays.” Derek replied. The hunter sighed, “Okay, but I want no interruptions, I will lose focus.” he saw the pack nod at him, telling him to continue, “Okay, so I’ll start with their father, John, he was born 7th August, in Warsaw, Poland. Him and his wife had their boys there too. When his youngest, Stiles, was 2 years old, Maryam Winchester was killed by what was believed to be a werewolf, he moved to America once he figured out that werewolf flew back here, then he managed to kill it after getting information from his, now, friend Bobby Singer.” he took a breath, “Ever since then, he’s trained his boys to be fighters like he now is, killing every werewolf or creature alike in sight.”Some of the pack growled at this, but Argent carried on, “The hunter that I was on the phone to, Rodney, told me that 3 years ago John was arrested for kidnap and murder, of a human, by the way, he was found guilty, up until Bobby Singer gave evidence proving that he wasn’t there. Rod didn’t like John in the first place, but the hatred grew more as the man who John killed was his best friend, his name was Mark Milson.”“Why would he do something like that?” Peter asked.Chris shrugged, “I asked Rod that, he said something about one of his boys lying on Mark’s name and John was in a sea of rage as he believed that what his son was saying was true, Rod says that he was lying, but John said he would never, or something like that.”Derek scoffed, “They’re causing deaths of so many innocent people.”“Tell me about it.” Chris said, then he carried on, “Moving onto John’s oldest, Dean, he’s born 24th January, so he’s on his way to turning 18 in a few months. Rod said out of all of the siblings-”“Wait, sorry to interrupt dad,” Allison said, “But how does this ‘Rod’ know so much?”“Because his nephew was friends with John’s kid Stiles, until the murder happened, Stiles and Rod’s nephew, Alex, obviously had a massive fallout. But, I will get onto that shortly. As I was saying, Dean is apparently the most callous one out of his siblings, he’s following his father, he is basically John’s right hand man. He may not be the smartest, but he definitely knows how to fight.”He took in another breath, Derek knew that Chris didn’t talk that much, so his mouth was probably going drier by the minute, “Moving onto the middle child, Samuel Winchester, he’s the one who researches about what creature they’re hunting, if they’re not hunting a werewolf they’re hunting something else, and he is the one who figures out what weapons will kill them, he makes sure to know every piece of knowledge about every creature he and his family hunts.”Erica cleared her throat, “When is his birthday?”Chris grumbled, “Oh my God, May 2nd.” He rolled his eyes, “Now, moving onto Stiles, the youngest child, he’s the one who figures out the strategy, about when and where they are going to go after the creature, he’s a feral strategist. He will get floorplans out, anything out, and directs them all into where they’re going. And before anyone asks, his birthday is April 8th, and his real name isn’t Stiles, that’s his middle name. His real name is Mieczyslaw.”Derek took a breath, this was a lot to take in.Chris looked around at the pack, “This is part of the reason that I say they’re ruthless, even the siblings, they’re like pieces to a puzzle. Whilst John’s the leader, Dean is his main fighter, Sam is his main researcher and Stiles is his main strategist. They all have their own individual strengths, which is why no were-creature had defeated them before.”“That changes now.” Derek said he thought the conversation was over until Chris said, “There’s one more thing, Derek.”The Alpha noticed that Argent’s heart beat had gone through the roof, “What is it?”Chris took a deep breath, “This is just a rumour, but it’s gone around that apparently John was the one who burned the Hale house down.”Derek took a sharp breath in, as did Peter and Cora. He growled, “I’m going to fucking kill them all!”Scott and Boyd was trying to hold Derek who was quickly losing control, Isaac and Jackson did the same with Peter whilst Erica, John and Lydia tried with Cora, “Fucking let go of me!” Peter said, as Derek shouted, “I could easily get out of this grip but I’m going to very soon unless you explain to me why the fuck you’re holding us back from the family who killed ours!” Allison had her hand over her mouth, shocked about what’s happening.Boyd was shaking, “Derek, listen to me, you don’t know how dangerous they are-”“I can easily take them all!” Cora shouted over Boyd. Now Melissa thought it was the best time her voice was heard, “Did you guys even listen to Chris?! They are so much more skilled than we are, they know more things about werewolves than you do, and you was born as it,”“I don’t care.” Peter said, “Let them kill us.”Boyd was shocked, “Are you fucking serious? You guys have a pack to think about.” He emphasised, “We’re all in this together, if you’re going to this fight then we have to come too, and then you’ll be leading us to our deaths too, is that what you want?”“Of course not.” Derek grumbled, he seemed to be calming down although his eyes were still red and his fangs were still out.“Boyd’s right.” Jackson said, “I’m down for killing them, just not yet. We need to do what Chris said, become their friend, find their weak spots, then we kill them. We have to think with strategy here, but if you go now then you will die and we will be dying with you, and that will mean they have won, again. We can’t have that.”At this point, Derek had calmed down, and Cora was on the floor crying, Isaac had his body wrapped around her, comforting her in any way he could, she mourning the loss of her family all over again, even though they were really young when it happened, they grieved over what the future could have been. Peter was still angry. Derek turned to face him, “Peter.” Yet Peter was still going crazy, growling and he was starting to sweat, so Derek used his Alpha voice, “Peter!”Peter went still, his eyes bleeding a deep yellow, but they were misty and filled with sadness, he whispered, “They killed our family, Derek. We can’t let them get away with this.”Derek shook his head, “We won’t, don’t worry. We just need a plan.”Peter sniffled and sighed, then Argent cleared his throat, “I need to make sure it was actually John, though, I’ll investigate this.”The Hales nodded, shortly after everyone made their way to their own rooms, Derek needed Chris to find evidence ASAP, because whether John Winchester is guilty or not, soon he’s going to lose his mind and kill all of the Winchesters.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Derek’s POVA week has gone by.During that week, Derek and his pack have made it their life mission to make the Winchesters' school time a misery. They’ve done things such as barge into them, put shit in their locker, and spread rumours about them. Currently, the latest rumour was because of Erica, when she told one of her classmates that their father had been arrested for kidnap and murder in the past. This is why he now stands outside the parking lot watching a massive argument go down between Josh and Dean. Josh has some of his teammates next to him whilst the other has his brothers.“Yo Dean, is it true your old man was arrested for kidnapping and murder?” Josh whistled, now facing the Winchesters.“The fuck’s that got to do with you?” Dean said, shocked, he clearly doesn’t know how the hell Josh knows, he hopes to God that his teammate doesn’t say that his pack were the ones who started it all, because that would mean that the Winchesters could follow their trail. The only reason that they don’t know him and his pack were the ones ruining their stuff in school was because of their supernatural senses, they know whenever one of the Winchesters are nearby. And they didn’t take notice of the pack specifically even though they always made sure to shoulder barge the boys, because ever since some rumours spread about them, it seems like most people are joining in. Derek almost felt bad. Almost.Josh scoffed, “I’m walking in the same building as someone who’s daddy is a fucking criminal, it’s got everything to do with me.”Dean kissed his lips, “What? You scared?”Josh was taken aback, clearly not expecting any of them to answer him back. Derek wasn’t so surprised, especially with Dean. Because within the past week he has noticed the boys’ different reactions to all of what’s happening this week. The oldest brother doesn’t back down, if he knows somebody is trying to start something with him or one of his brother’s he is not scared to fight, no matter who or how many he would be up against. Sam is quiet, Derek hasn’t heard him say a word, unless he’s eavesdropping on their conversations between each other, for example when he barged into Sam on his first day of school, he didn’t say anything at all. Stiles is sort of a mix between his big brothers, he’s snarky, he has cocky remarks or comebacks and is quick witted, similar to Dean, but in some scenarios he is quiet and he just seems to take anything thrown at him on the chin, similar to Sam.What Derek could also notice is the Winchesters slowly forming a formation, each on one side of Dean, slightly behind him, yet even though they were trying to act cool and calm, Derek noticed how - behind Dean - Sam had his jaw clenched in anger, similar to Dean’s face right now, and Stiles was glancing between the floor and sneaking looks at each of his brothers, as if his eyes were pacing, or he just didn’t know where to look.Josh scoffed, “Scared of you? You and your pussy brothers?”“Say that again motherfucker.” Dean stalked up to Josh, facing each other eye to eye, both boys were similar in height, yet Winchester was just a tad bit taller.Stiles grabbed Dean’s arm, “Leave it, he’s not worth getting kicked out of school for.”As he went to pull Dean back, Josh shoved the boy with the buzzcut back, “Stay out of this freak!”The next thing was like a blur, Dean punched Josh in the jaw while shouting “Don’t touch him.” and Sam joined his brother and starting fighting one of Josh’ teammates, now much more people were joining the crowd, and Stiles seemed to have noticed this and said, “Fucking wonderful.” before getting in a fight with someone who was trying to get Sam from behind. Derek and his pack watched the hunters fight, even though they didn’t need to use much tactics because the people that they were fighting doesn’t know how to properly fight, Derek felt a shiver run down his spine with how smooth their dodges were against their attackers, he’s sure his pack were thinking the same thing as he looked at them and all of their faces were in shock. Well, this is probably because there hasn’t been a school fight in a long time, but now, more and more people got involved, trying to jump the hunters. And they were still putting up a great defence for themselves.Derek’s thoughts were interrupted when teachers were running out trying to stop the brawl, they were basically swimming through the circle that the crowd had formed, telling everybody to get out of the way or to move. Different teachers had grabbed each boy involved in the fight, he saw who grabbed the Winchesters, it seemed that principal Thompson had grabbed Dean, Mr Harris grabbed Stiles and his history teacher, Mr Johnson grabbed Sam. When Dean managed to get a clear look at their faces, he noticed that Dean had a small graze on his cheek, Stiles’ lip was busted and his nose was bleeding, yet Sam had a deep-ish cut running down his cheek, and as they was being manhandled away the pack, including Lydia and Allison, heard Dean shout to Sam, “How the fuck is your face so busted?!”“Jerk-off had a fucking ring.” Sam laughed, how he finds that funny Derek couldn’t tell. They heard the teachers telling the boys to get inside as they needed to talk to them about what happened, and Sam asked his younger brother, “Stiles, you alright?”“Just peachy.” He murmured sarcastically.— — — —The Winchesters were not in school for the next day, or the day after that, and then they were off all week. But what Derek found interesting was the fact that Josh and some of the others who got involved, were all still in school. So either, neither parties were punished but the Winchesters decided to stay at home, or, only the brothers were punished - even though Josh was the one who started it. The Alpha could laugh at that.Derek and the pack were now sitting in the sports hall with the rest of the school, having a long ass assembly as to why fighting was not an acceptable solution, the assembly ran by counsellor Morell. Then, the doors leading to outside opened, and Derek’s heart started racing.Principle Thompson walked through the door, behind him was the Winchester brothers, and another man in between them. He was built, stocky, and he had a mean look on his face. This man was capable of murdering innocent werewolves and humans. He scared Derek.John Winchester paid no attention to the number of students who suddenly went silent, whispering to each other about this man being the person who Josh and Dean fought about, it seems as though John has already gave himself a reputation for being a big, scary, intimidating man who nobody wanted to get on the bad side of. The five of them walked to the other side of the sports hall, then went through the doors on the opposite side to make their way to the office, Derek presumes. The assembly ended shortly after, so Derek let the pack know that he was going to see what was being said inside the office, of course they told him that it was risky at first, but he reminded them of his senses and how he will know when they are standing up, so he’ll leave before they even see him in the corridor. He made his way with Jackson, who said he was going to make sure Derek didn’t go on his own, but he knew it was just because Jackson was nosy and wanted to see first hand what was being said, they now stood in front of the door.“John, I understand your frustrations-”He interrupted, “With all due respect, no you don’t. My boys have been here for a few weeks and your students are already giving them a hard time. It seems as if you and your staff are too, enlighten me, did you suspend those animals for the week too or was it just my boys?”He had a point, Derek thought, then he remembered to not let empathy cloud his judgement, he heard the principle sigh, “Look, John-”“It’s Mr Winchester to you.”“Mr Winchester,” The principal said, in a forced tone, “I understand your point but from what I heard from witnesses, the Winchesters started the brawl, therefore, they were punished. Accordingly.”Derek and Jackson heard someone scoff, but they didn’t know who it was until the principal said, “Is there anything you would like to say, Dean?"“This is bullshit is what it is.”“Excuse me?” the principle said whilst John warned Dean just by saying his name. He interrupted them both by saying, “No dad, he knows that it wasn’t our fault for God sake, I was defending my little brother who that guy pushed, I don’t even know his fucking name.”John said something about language under his breath, but Derek sensed the only reason he said it so quietly was because he knew himself that correcting his son’s French wasn’t important right now.Surprisingly, the door opened and Dean walked out, the two wolves didn’t prepare for that so they just stood there like idiots, then Winchester turned to look at them and went, “The hell are you looking at?”Neither of them had a response, not like they needed to think of one because Dean stormed down the corridor straight after saying that.Derek and Jackson heard someone sigh then the principal said, “Stiles, why don’t you explain to me your side of the story.”“Um,” Stiles stuttered, “Well, so basically, me and my brothers were walking to the car, when that boy,” he paused, “What was his name again Sam?”“Josh something-or-other, I don’t know.” Sam replied.“Yeah, so Josh came up to us asking us about something that he has no business asking us, then Dean replied and then Josh basically called us pussies, then Dean walked up to him, but he didn’t touch him or nothing like that,” he paused to take a breath as he was talking sort of quickly, “then I grabbed Dean’s arm so I could remove us from the situation, then Josh pushed me and Dean pushed him back,” he paused again, “then one of Josh’s friends got involved, which then got Sam involved, then another person tried attacking him from behind, so I got involved, because I’m not watching somebody jump my brother.”“See what I mean, principle?” John said, he didn’t even say it in an angry tone, just a tired one.Jackson turned to Derek and said, “I don’t know about you man, but I'm getting hungry. And this conversation isn’t going anywhere.”Derek hummed in agreement, as he was starving too, so they made their way to the cafeteria and ate food with the pack. The Winchesters didn’t turn up for any of their classes.— — — — —After school, Derek and his pack were sat around the dining table, when Chris came through the door, “Derek, I’ve got some updates on the Winchesters. Some information may be useless, but at least you will know what it is.”He paused ‘The Notebook’ that Lydia had begged to rewatch for the millionth time, “Yeah what it is?”Argent sighed and brought a stool from the dining area and brought it to the living room, once he sat down on it he said, “So, apparently it wasn’t just John who was involved in the killing of Mark Milson, there were three other men involved. Bobby Singer, Caleb Simpson and some Pastor called Jim.”“Terrific, even the holy ones are corrupt.” Peter muttered under his breath.“Wait.” Lydia said, “didn’t you also say that Bobby handed in evidence to prove John’s innocence?”“Yes,” Chris sighed, “but I have now been informed that it was somebody called Ash. Rod called me whilst you guys were on your way home from school, apparently he’s been asking around more, but I think I accidentally made him remember what Winchester did to his best friend, so he’s angry again.”“Good. We need more people on our side, especially if John Winchester and his friends are capable of something like that, isn’t that like joint enterprise or something?” Jackson said.“Yeah, I have their mugshots right here. It took a lot of digging up, Noah and I were looking for a long time.” He then placed down four sheets onto the coffee table in front of where Derek, Boyd and Isaac were sitting, the pack moved around or leaned over to get a look of what would be shown on the sheet.‘Name: John WinchesterCharge: Kidnap & MurderAge: 35Date of Charge: 4th September 2008’The picture of John was menacing, his eyes were glassy and dark, his lips in a menacing curl, and he was holding a frame that included more information about himself. They all then moved to the next picture -‘Name: Robert SingerCharge: Kidnap and Conspiracy to MurderAge: 42Date of Charge: 4th September 2008Bobby looked disgusted yet bored at the same time, Derek noticed he was older than John, even if his age wasn't there, he would be able to tell, as Singer had a scruffy beard and he looked like the typical Texan with a deep Southern state accent. Now, onto the next -‘Name: Jim MurphyCharge: Conspiracy to Kidnap and MurderAge: 45Date of Charge: 4th September 2008’Jim did not have any sorts of emotions on his face whatsoever, Derek found that disturbing, as he was realising just how cruel and cold-hearted these hunters truly are. The last one -‘Name: Caleb SimpsonCharge: Conspiracy to Kidnap and MurderAge: 27Date of Charge: 4th September 2008What Derek found truly sadistic about this mugshot, was that Caleb was smiling, as if he was proud of what he had taken part in, he felt like he could be sick. As he looked around at the rest of the pack, he knew they felt the same way.“There’s also this.” Chris gave Derek a newspaper article, which is when Isaac snatched it out of his hand and read it out loud for everyone to hear, “On the 4th of September, vigilante gang arrested for the murder of Mark Milson, John Winchester will serve a sentence of 32 years in prison, Bobby will serve 27 years; gang mates Caleb Simpson and Jim Murphy will both serve 26 years in prison. Many condolences go out to those affected by this case, we will continue to give justice to those worthy, and punishments to those who act unjustly.”The pack stayed silent, processing what their packmate had just read, “Fuck.” Erica said, “we’re not dealing with your average hunter. We’re dealing with lunatics.”“We knew that ever since we found out they started the Hale fire, Erica.” Peter replied. All stayed silent at his statement, until Cora sighed, “The only good thing is that it seems like we outnumber them.”“Is there anything else we should know about, dad?” Allison asked.Chris shrugged, “The only thing I can say to you all right now is that you definitely should befriend them.”“Yeah, you’re probably right.” Derek sighed.“Excuse me?” Peter said, completely shocked.“Yeah. Excuse me?” Jackson said in the same tone as Peter did, both of them finding this plan ridiculous and believing the pack should just kill them all now.“You heard me.” Derek replied harshly, “Hear me out, we try to become friends with them, clearly they’re in need of some if they only hang around with each other at school. And when their backs are turned, we stab them in it.”“Some would call that cowardly.” Peter said“That’s true. But what emotion is worse than depression or hatred?” He asked, when he saw Peter shrug and nobody else spoke up he said, “Betrayal.” So now, the pack had their plan, they were going to try and be more friendly with the Winchesters. Peter was going to try with Dean, as he is the only one sharing the same year group with Winchester, and to be honest, Derek thought that they acted pretty similar, so it shouldn’t be so hard for Peter to get in Dean’s good books.Derek was going to try with Sam, again, he’s the only one who is in Sam’s year group. Yet, for Stiles, the rest of the pack was going to try, yet the Alpha had dibs on Scott.— — — — —School came around quickly, Derek was in politics, fourth period, when Sam walked in, the boy hadn’t attended any politics lessons and funnily enough, the only seat available was right next to Derek. Pity.Sam gave the Alpha a short smile and he sat down, although the deep scratch Sam had got was healing, Derek could still see it.Half way through class, Derek had come up with an idea, he turned to look at the boy sitting next to him, “Hey, you’re Sam, right?”He took a short glance at Derek and carried on writing in his notebook, “Urm, yeah.” he said quietly.“If you don’t mind me asking, how did you get that scratch on your face?” Even though he had a perfect view to the fight, he doubts that Sam would have been paying attention to the crowd. The Winchester boy looked confused, as if he was surprised that Derek didn’t know, “A fight.” he said, wow, that boy does not know how to talk.Derek nodded before he stayed quiet for a second, this conversation being drier than he expected, “Oh, okay.” he paused, “Did you at least win?”Sam smiled, “Hell yeah.”The Alpha chuckled at that, just to make it seem like he’s enjoying the conversation, when in reality, he wants to skin the boy alive.Towards the end of the lesson, Derek noticed that the boy had a lot of books that he was trying to fit in his hand, so he said, “Let me give you a hand.” Sam refused politely at first until Derek said that he insisted.Their class was far away from the lockers, so Derek thought now was the perfect time to start a conversation with him, “Was the fight you had in school?”Sam glanced at him, “Erm, yeah, after school.”“Hmm. Was it a planned fight?”Winchester shook his head, “No it wasn’t, that boy, Josh in our history was getting all mouthy with my brother, Dean. Then he pushed my little brother Stiles out of the way when he tried to stop what was going on, so my brother retaliated. Then some guy joined in, so I did. Then, someone tried to jump me from behind, which made Stiles get involved. It was a full on brawl.” Sam explained, he noticed how Derek wasn’t replying to him, so he added, “Sorry. My mouth runs away from me sometimes.”Derek shook his head, he didn’t want to lose the little progress he made, “No no, it’s not that. It’s just that Josh and his friends are all dicks.”Sam looked surprised at that, “Oh really? I thought you guys were friends or something.”Derek chuckled at that, then they finally reached Winchester’s locker, when he noticed Stiles walking up to them.“Hey Stiles, you alright?” Sam asked. The younger boy paid no attention to Derek, he kept his eyes on Sam and said, “Yeah obviously, it’s lunch.”“Shit yeah, I’ll see you later Derek,” Sam said quickly.Derek wanted to hurry up and become friends with the Winchesters quickly, so they can get the plan over and done with, so he regrettably said, “Wanna sit with us for lunch?”Sam looked at his brother who shrugged, “Maybe another time, but Sammy here complains about how he has no friends so he’ll be happy to join you.” he then walked away. What a twerp.“No, Stiles wait up-” yet he stopped himself as his brother literally started sprinting down the corridor, “Fucking idiot.” Sam whispered to himself.“What was that?” Derek asked, even though he heard the boy loud and clear.Sam sighed, “He just likes to annoy me, I can really go now because I know you hang around with a lot of people and I’m not that good at holding conversations.”“You’ve been doing fine with me.” He shrugged.“Yeah I guess. Well– I mean, if you don’t mind then I’ll sit with you guys, both my brothers have been winding me up recently.” Sam said as they started to make their way to the cafeteria. Derek quickly got his phone out to warn the pack that Sam will be joining them today.“How come?” Derek asked, maybe this was easier than he thought and Sam would start talking rubbish about his brothers as soon as they were away from each other.“Well, they thought it was a good idea to put Nair cream in my shampoo, and I was about to put it on my hair until my dad told me what they did– he saw the empty bottle of it and he knew instantly that they were trying to pull a prank on me.” Sam said aggressively yet there was a fondness in his voice that even humans would be able to sense. Maybe this wasn’t as easy as he thought it would be.Derek chuckled, “It’s part of being the middle child, I guess, your older and younger sibling constantly gang up on you.”Sam laughed, “Yeah, exactly, do you have any siblings?” he said as they now sat down in the cafeteria.“He was.” Peter came and sat right next to Derek, with Scott and Allison next to him.Sam frowned, “I’m sorry to hear that.”“Yeah, they died in a fire.” Peter replied harshly.“Peter.” Derek warned him harshly.“Oh.” Is all that Winchester could say.“What? You didn’t know that?” Jackson said as he sat right next to Sam, looking him in the eye, now the rest of his pack was here as they came with Jackson.Sam looked confused, “I don’t want to sound offensive but how would I know that? I just moved here.” Derek listened to his heart beat, it turns out he was telling the truth, he didn’t know. Well, that doesn’t change anything, he might be innocent in this case but his father isn’t, just like his own family was completely innocent and they were murdered in cold-blood.Cora got involved, “Sorry about Peter,” she said whilst turning to look at her idiotic cousin, “it’s just that Peter, Derek and I are cousins, and our whole family was in the house at the time of the fire, none of them made it.” she was obviously acting clueless to make Sam believe that they’re not all confrontational cunts.Sam stayed quiet, whereas Erica said, “This got awkward real fast.”“It wouldn’t have if Peter hadn’t opened his big mouth.” Derek said angrily.“Erm– I can go, I don’t mind.” Sam stuttered.“That would be a good idea.” Peter said whilst Derek said, “No, you have no need too.”Derek noticed how his older cousin and Winchester just stared at each other for, like, five seconds, then looked away from each other.Lydia leaned forward, “Anyway, Sam, how come you moved here? Like, where did you come here from?”Sam looked at her, “Well– I was born in Poland, but when I was around four years old me and my family moved to America, and we settled in Lawrence for a while then we’ve kind of been on the road ever since.”“Oh? Can you speak Polish?” Erica asked.Sam smiled, “Yeah, I’m fluent but I’m not as good as I used to be seeing as I don’t speak it that much.”“Do you speak Polish at home?” Isaac asked.Sam seemed to find this situation awkward, he felt as if he was being interrogated but he answered anyway, “Well, when my dad’s pissed he usually breaks out into Polish as he’s from there and has lived so much of his life there, and he finds it easier talking about what he’s thinking in Polish.” he paused, “But, my little brother Stiles talks it the most after my dad.”“Oh really? How come?” Scott asked.Sam shrugged, “He’s just really interested in things like that, he loves learning new languages, he knows Polish, Russian - I mean I think they’re kind of similar - he’s currently learning ancient Latin and he knows how to speak French too.”Allison piped up, “My family are from France.” Derek could sense what she was doing, she was seeing if he knew the Argents, he liked that plan. His pack looked around at each other suspiciously, as they all knew what they needed to do. They would talk to Sam but sneakily get information out of him.“Oh really? What part?” He asked.“Paris, I mean it’s pretty obvious I’m French– what, with my last name,” she shrugged.“What is your last name?” He asked.“Argent.” She said with no hesitation, yet Sam seemed to not know who the Argents were as his heart never jumped and he didn’t seem cautious, “That’s so cool, doesn’t Argent mean silver?”Allison just nodded and smiled, and other than the mini outburst Peter had at the start of lunch, it seemed to be going pretty well, but he’s not sure that Sam will be comfortable enough to sit with them more.— — — — —Sam and his brothers have just arrived at their motel, yet their father wasn’t there.“So, Sammy, how was lunch with those people?” Dean asked as he took his leather jacket off.He shrugged, “It was alright, but so awkward.”Stiles laughed, “I’m not surprised, you can’t talk to anyone for shit.”Sam shook his head, “It’s not that, Stiles, I mean– it was so uncomfortable, one of the guys there, Peter, seemed like he had it in for me.”“Peter who?” Dean asked.Sam shrugged, “I think his last name is Hale, he and Derek– this boy in my year, are cousins.”“Yeah, Peter Hale is in a few of my classes. Why would he have it in for you?”Sam pursed his lips, “I don’t know, but, I was telling Derek about how you and Stiles sometimes like to pull pranks on me, then me being a middle sibling was mentioned, then I asked him if he has siblings or something, then Peter comes outta nowhere and says that he was. Then he goes on about how their whole family died in a fire or something, and he asked me if I knew about it. But, it felt like more of an accusation.”Dean huffed, “That’s a sad story but the fuck does that have to do with you.”“I know, that’s what I thought. They have another cousin, Cora, who eventually turned up but she apologised for Peter’s behaviour.” Sam said.“I think she’s in maybe one or two of my classes.” Stiles muttered.“Yeah, well, that whole conversation with them felt like an interrogation.”“I can imagine. You think you’re gonna hang around with them more?” Dean asked.Sam chuckled, “Hell no, I think that was enough social interaction for the next year or so.”The boys laughed at that, when John walked through the door, “Hey, any updates on the witches?” Dean asked.John shook his head, “There is literally nothing, I’m starting to think Bobby sent us here to waste time.”— — — — —“What the Hell was that Peter?” Derek snarled as they entered their home.Peter pulled a face, “His father killed our whole family Derek, or did you forget that?”The Alpha growled and shoved him against the wall, “Don’t you dare say that to me, I–”“Can you guys stop! This won’t solve anything.” Cora said as she tried to separate them both, yet Derek said, “I get it Peter, you’re pissed. Believe me, I am too. But you have to be patient, our plan will be worth it when we see the look on their faces when they realise that their ‘new friends’ had it in for them the whole time.”Peter grunted and made his way upstairs, “I have a feeling that he won’t follow the plan.” Lydia said.“You don’t say.” Allison replied sarcastically. It was later on in the day when Chris came in with Noah at his sighed, “Derek, we need to ask you and everyone else something. And just hear us out.” The sheriff said.Derek shrugged, so Argent spoke, “I’ve just been on the phone to Rodney, and he was talking about coming here and joining up with us.”“No way.” Peter said, “We’re not having more hunters coming down here.”“Look, I thought the same,” Noah replied, “But, he said that he wants the Winchesters gone just like the rest of us, especially after what John had done to his friend. He would be a good asset, and he gave his word that he will leave town as soon as everything has sorted.”Derek thought for a second, “Does he know that you guys stay with us often, like– with werewolves.”Chris nodded, “Yes he does, he may be a hunter but he actually follows the Argent code, he’s completely harmless towards werewolves who aren’t rogue.”“I think it might be a good idea.” Boyd said.“And why’s that?” Isaac asked, he wasn’t so keen on another hunter stepping foot in town either, it wasn’t just Peter.Boyd sighed, “Understand this,” he said as he mainly kept his eyes on Derek, “We obviously know that this Rodney hates John, and we know the reason why, so I think it’s safe to assume that John feels the same way towards him, and if he feels that way towards him, I’m guessing that his sons won’t be so keen on the guy either. Just imagine the looks on their faces once they realise we have more allies on our side.”Allison nodded, “He’s got a point, especially if we have allies who they aren’t so fond of.”“I don’t know. This could lead us down a bad path.” Scott said, and it was rare for him to disagree with his girlfriend on anything, so it shows how deeply he feels about this situation.“It could,” Allison nodded, “but if we live our lives in constant doubt, we will never get somewhere– I really think this could do us more good than bad.”“At the end of the day, it’s not up to us.” Erica said, then all eyes turned to Derek, “What do you think, Derek?” she asked.Derek looked out into space, thinking of different ways this could hurt the Winchester family, “Bring him.”“Are you sure?” Noah asked, “If you’re uncomfortable with him coming here, or you want to think more–”“Bring him.” He interrupted, then he went upstairs to his room. He just wanted some time alone.“Well, you heard the man.” Noah said, looking at Chris.— — — — —The next week came around slowly, and Rodney finally turned up at the Hale house, he and Chris shook hands before they made their way to the dining room, where the Hale pack sat, “It’s so good to see you, Chris.”“You too. The pack is just through here.”Derek listened to their greetings, and when he sensed that Rod was coming through to the dining room, he stood up so he could greet the hunter personally, then Rod stuck his hand out to Derek, “You must be the Alpha, I’m so grateful you have allowed me to turn up.”Derek returned the handshake and nodded, “Don’t mention it.” he sat back down and decided to dive straight in, “What can you do to help us against the Winchesters? If you’re useless you’re going straight back. I don’t have time to deal with laziness.”Rod nodded, “I completely understand, but I have a lot that I can do to help. I know a lot about that family, what will make them break, their tactics. You see, Alpha, I never liked him the first time I saw him, but he seemed to enjoy my company. I could bet you cash that he thought we were best buds at some point, but he completely turned against me and killed my best friend. I need revenge, just like you do.”Peter looked at the hunter, “What is your opinion of us acting like we’re their friends? Until we showdown, obviously.”“I think it’s a perfect idea. The one thing about the Winchesters is that they either don’t trust you at all, or they trust you completely. If you can get their trust, you will get their respect, and if you get their respect then you will get their loyalty. The worst thing for them is for somebody turning against them.”Derek and the pack nodded, but Scott said something that made everyone feel different sorts of emotions, “What if the Winchesters– well, John, what if he never caused the Hale fire?”“What?” Derek replied,Scot carried on, “It’s just that Chris said that there wasn’t evidence to prove the theory. We might be diving in heads first, we could ruin their lives when they didn’t actually start the Hale fire.”“He did.” Peter hissed, “Even if he didn’t start the fire, he and his boys are here to hunt us. It’s us or them.”Derek nodded, “Yeah, and let’s not forget about all the innocent werewolves that they’ve killed in the past.”Scott sighed and stayed quiet. The next couple of hours consisted of the pack getting to know Rod, it turns out he’s a funny guy and he has good taste in movies.— — — — —Derek was walking through the corridor, making his way to class, when he saw Stiles arguing with a senior, Lewis. He stayed hidden to see what the outcome would be.“Just get out of my way.” He heard Winchester say.Lewis sneered at him, “I don’t think so, freak.”Stiles looked up at him, as he was smaller than him - Lewis was as tall as Isaac - and it didn’t help that the boy was two years younger than the senior, “What’s your problem?”“You are.” Lewis hissed as he smacked the books out of Stiles’ hand, Derek now thought it best to intervene.“What’re you doing?” He said as he came next to Stiles.Lewis didn’t take notice of Derek's so-called disapproval, “Yo Derek, just teaching this twerp a thing or two.”“Why don’t you just fuck off back to class, why won’t you go to class on time? Those Fs won’t change itself."Lewis squinted his eyes but said nothing, purely because he didn’t want to get on Derek’s bad side. He’s seen Derek right, he knows that he’s a scary motherfucker. Once the senior was out of sight, Derek turned to Winchester, “Why don’t you defend yourself more? Your brother told me about the fight, it seemed like you kicked ass even though you were outnumbered.”Stiles laughed, “Thanks, but I’m trying to avoid as many fights as possible, my old man wasn’t really happy with us when he received a phone call saying that we’ve been fighting other students.”Derek shrugged and looked at the boy’s golden eyes, “Yeah, but I heard that it wasn’t your fault, surely your dad believes you?”Stiles nodded, “He does, but he said that if the teachers don’t even believe us, then my dad will get angry at them and probably pistol whip them, then he will get done.”He found it disgusting how Stiles was joking about his father ‘pistol whipping’ people, as he probably would do that to the teachers if he’d get let off without punishment, “That’s fair enough.”Stiles said, “I gotta get going because I’m already late and I’m pretty sure you are too, but thank you for helping me avoid confrontation or whatever, I’ll see you later.”He started to walk away when Derek noticed that the boy’s books were still scattered on the floor, “Wait up Stiles!” he picked up the books but didn’t give it back to him, “You forgot your books.”“Oh shit, thank you.” He replied as he tried to take the books, but Derek moved it away from him and said, “Let me walk you to class”“No it’s alright thanks, it’s literally on the other side of the school.”“I don’t care, Stiles, I only have gym. Coach won’t give a shit if I’m late.”“You sure?” Stiles asked.“Definitely. Anyway, how the hell did you forget your books?” He laughed.“It’s probably my ADHD, I take medication to concentrate more but I haven’t been taking it recently.”Well, that explains the smell of medication. What he noticed about Stiles is that he has yellow-ish gold eyes, and his hair was brown and buzzed - yet growing a little, and he usually wore a red zip-up with blue jeans. If he wasn’t trying to hunt Derek, he may have found Winchester quite pretty.“How come you don’t take it? It’s prescribed to you, isn’t it?” Derek asked.“It is, but I keep forgetting to take it. And I know this sounds childish but usually my dad reminds me to take it, but he hasn’t been home this much lately, so I keep on forgetting.”Yeah, his dad hasn’t been home because he’s trying to find Derek and the pack, his blood was seething, yet externally he smiled, “No, that doesn’t sound childish at all.”Derek noticed how he was unconsciously moving slower, to talk to Stiles more, he convinced himself that it was just to get information about him and not because he was genuinely interested in getting to know him.Derek hummed in thought, “Why don’t we ditch?”Stiles eyes opened wide, “What?! You wanna ditch?”“Yeah? You never ditched a day before?” he shrugged.“Umm yeah– a class, not a whole day.”Derek gave the boy a cheesy smile, “First time for everything.” He made sure to message the pack to say that he’s ditching the day. This is how he found himself in the arcade with Stiles, bunking off from school, things were going pretty well so far, it’s a shame that this boy is someone so evil, if he wasn’t, then Derek was sure that he could genuinely see himself getting closer with the boy. After a while of Derek winning the arcade games and Stiles losing and making a whole lot of complaints, they sat down in the dining area and went to town on their meals. They both got double cheeseburgers, but Stiles got a strawberry milkshake and Derek got a chocolate one and chicken tenders as extra.“So, Stiles, how come you moved to Beacon Hills out of all places?” He asked, he knew that he wasn’t going to get the truth, but he had a feeling that he and Stiles are going to get ‘closer’, so he might as well see what lies the boy comes up with.Stiles was about to reply when he got a phone call, “Sorry, it’s my brother.” Derek nodded and Winchester answered the phone, “Hey Dean what’s up?”Derek could hear him shouting down the phone, even without using his werewolf senses, “Mieczyslaw Winchester where the fuck are you?!”“What the fuck Dean,” Stiles said, probably because his brother used his full name, “I’m bunking off today, I’ve been at the arcade since before first period.”“Jesus kid you scared the hell out of me, I’m coming to get you right now.”Stiles glanced at Derek then replied, “No, Dean don’t.”“Why the hell not?” His brother asked.Winchester glanced at Derek once again, before turning to his phone and whispered, “Because I’ve made a friend,” he whispered this with such pride and happiness that Derek wondered how lonely he must be to be feeling this happy over skipping school with one person.Dean didn’t seem to pay him any mind, “Mazel tov,” he deadpanned, "You better be home before 5.”Stiles nodded, completely unaware of the fact that his brother couldn’t see him, “Yeah course. Bye.” The boy put his phone down before turning completely to Derek, “Sorry about that.””Derek shook his head, “No need for apologies, I can see that your brother cares for you.”Stiles gave him a fond smile, “Yeah, I know. But– to answer your question before, my dad basically raised us on the road, for his business. It includes travelling to a lot of different places sometimes.”“What job does he have?” Derek asked.Stiles seemed unprepared for this question, “Erm– he’s a salesman, and it’s his job to kind of promote products in different states.”“That seems rough.”Winchester shook his head, “We get by. Anyway, have you been here your whole life?”Derek nodded, “Yeah, me and my family have been here for way too long. Years and years, like even my ancestors.”“Oh wow, that’s so cool. My ancestors go all the way back to Poland.” Stiles said.“That’s nice.” Derek didn’t know what to say, so after a moment of silence, he decided to change the topic, “So, your brother sat with me and my friends yesterday.”“Yeah, he mentioned.” He replied awkwardly, “he said he enjoyed it.” He listened to Stiles’ heartbeat, and he could tell that the boy was lying, wow, were they all so ungrateful.Derek chuckled, “I know you’re lying, cmon, tell me what he actually said.” he made sure to make it seem like he was genuinely curious.Stiles shrugged, “He actually did, he just found it a bit awkward at first.”“Why?” He replied quickly.Stiles squinted his eyes, “I mean you can’t blame him, he’s an introverted typa guy, stick anyone on a table full of people they don’t know is awkward enough, nevermind someone so shy like my brother.”Derek acted sympathetic, “Yeah, I see what you mean, and I’m guessing that my cousin Peter didn’t make it any better. The boy nodded, “Yeah, he told me and Dean about that too,” what? Was Sam just talking shit about them and how their family had died? Stiles added, “He didn’t say anything wrong about him, before you ask, he just said it was an awkward interaction.”“Do you not think Peter would’ve found it awkward?” Derek insinuated.Winchester was quick to reply, “Seeing as how he was the one who started it all, I highly doubt that.”The wolf sighed, “Yeah, that’s true.” Things got quiet again, and although Derek knew that he loved a quiet environment, this one seemed downright uncomfortable, so he tried to think of anything to start a new conversation, “Look, I think that me and my friends need to prove to you guys that we are actually fun to be around, why don’t you and your brothers sit with us tomorrow at break and lunch?”Stiles furrowed his eyebrows, “I appreciate that, but, what’s the catch?”“What do you mean?” He asked.“Well, first, you invite Sam to lunch, then you ask if I skip with you, now you’re inviting us to sit with you and your friends during our breaks.”“Does there have to be a catch?”The younger boy found himself in deep thought as he said, “I guess not.”— — — — —The Winchesters POVDerek dropped him off at 4:47pm, he wasn’t sure about the Junior - but he found himself having a great time. He told Derek to drop him off two minutes away from the motel he was staying at, he told him that his house was right around the corner as he didn’t want Derek to see the piece of crap motel they were staying in for the next so many weeks. As he walked into the house he saw his brothers and father sitting on the couch, all doing their own thing, Sam was on his laptop, Dean was skipping through channels and his dad was reading something in the newspaper. His dad put the newspaper, “So, Stiles, Dean’s told me you’ve made a friend.”Stiles nodded slowly, “Yes, why do you seem so surprised.” he sat on the couch next to Dean, while his father sat next to Sam on the other.“From what I heard, you seemed pretty shocked yourself when you told me Mischief.” Dean said as he wiggled his way into the conversation.“Shut up Dean.” He muttered.“What’s your friend’s name?” Sam asked, not taking his eyes off of the laptop“Derek,” he replied shortly. Now Sammy lifted his head up, “The one with the creepy cousin?”“Who’s creepy?” Their dad asked.Stiles shook his head, “that doesn’t matter dad, anyway, speaking of, Derek asked if we’d all sit with him and his friends tomorrow on our breaks.”Dean grunted and Sam sighed, “No. It was so bad yesterday.”The oldest of the brothers said, “I’d love to see Sammy all awkward, it’s one of my favourite forms of entertainment, so, I’m in.”The middle child rolled his head back while Stiles smiled. Their dad said, “You boys make sure to get yourselves comfortable at this school, this hunt’s taking longer than expected and there’s more complications right now.”Dean looked confused, “What do you mean?”John sighed, “Well, there are quite a lot more witches than we’d originally thought, there’s a whole clan of them, but that’s not the worst part.”“Then what is?” Stiles asked.“They have a djinn on their side,” he paused, “But this is no ordinary djinn. It seems like this specific one can show you memories of another person by touching both your foreheads with the palm of their hands at the same time. Some messed up stuff.”“Where did you get your resources from?” Sam asked.John chuckled at his son, “I had to pretend to be a therapist earlier today. Some girl was traumatised because this creature showed her some memories that her boyfriend had of cheating on her.”Dean whistled, “Cheeky son of a bitch.”“Do you know how to kill a djinn, dad?” Stiles asked.“Not yet, son, but I’ll figure it out.”Dean sighed, “It’s times like this that it doesn’t help that we’re basically outcasts to all hunters.”“Yeah.” Stiles said quietly.John looked at his boy, “Hey Stiles, it’s not your fault.”The youngest boy nodded, “I’m going to bed.” Then he made his way to his room, Sam didn’t even bother closing his laptop as he followed him. John didn’t think that it was such a good idea for Sam to follow him to their room, but he realised that if any one of them was to make Stiles feel better, it would be Sammy.“Shit dad, I didn’t even realise.” Dean said guiltily.John shook his head, “It’s not your fault Dean, I swear if I could, I would raise that bastard back from the dead and kill him all over again.”Dean looked angry, “No. It would be my turn. I told you I wanted to be there for when it happened.”His father sighed and didn’t say anything back, as he knew that there was no point in this conversation - he’s been told off enough by Sam and Dean.Back in the bedroom, Sam and Stiles are having a conversation of their own.“What’re you thinking, Mischief?” Sam asked as he sat on the bed next to Stiles, he watched as his brother put his knees to his chest and quietly said, “It’s my fault.”“How?” He asked gently.“If– I just, I should have stopped it.” Stiles said as he was staring into space, eyes glassy.“You was nine years old.”“Sammy, stop–”“No, Stiles, you need to listen to me right now, can you do that for me?” he turned to look at Stiles directly in the eyes, “Look at me,” he said. His little brother lifted his chin to look at him, “You was nine years old. How in hell could you have stopped him?”Stiles shrugged, not knowing what to say.“Exactly.”The younger boy looked away, “Do you think it was right of dad to kill him?”Sam gently grabbed Stiles’ chin, to make him look at him, “If dad didn’t kill him, I would have done it myself.”The boy was shocked, “Really?”“Really. And if not me, then Dean would, if not Dean, Bobby would, if not Bobby, Caleb, then Pastor Jim – we all care about you. Yeah, we might be a small group of people, yeah, a lot of people may not like us. We’re just misunderstood, we can’t control that. Let people assume the worst about us, hell, I don’t care who thinks we're bad people.”Stiles nodded slowly, “I get that, but– I should have told dad not to kill him.”Sam pursed his lips, the younger boy noticed that he had tears in his eyes, “What’s wrong Sammy?”“What if something like that happened to me, or Dean, would you want him dead?”“One hundred percent, I’d go out to find him myself.”Sam nodded, “Exactly, that’s exactly how we felt. Screw everyone else, he was a monster, the worst type of monster there is.”“I know.” Stiles said, voice cracking, “I just feel dirty,” and finally, the tears make their way down his cheeks.“Mischief,” Sam said in shock, but he knew what he needed to do to show Stiles that he wasn’t dirty, “I’ve never told anyone this before, not even Dean, but, you remember when I went to my first party at thirteen?”Stiles nodded, “Yeah, I do.”Sam looked down, “Well, my drink was spiked–” he heard Stiles whisper ‘oh god’ but he carried on, he knew that his brother needed somebody to relate too, “and this person came up to me, his name was Alex, he told me I looked ill, that I should go upstairs and wash my face with cool water, and I don’t know why I trusted him, but I did. He took me upstairs, and led me to the bed room,” his voice cracked, “he, um,” he sniffled, “he pulled my pants down– he said this would make me feel better, and just as he was about to, you know, do it, he heard a knock on the door. I think that freaked him out, the fear of getting caught, so when the knocking stopped he left me alone.” He looked up at Stiles, whose face was just as wet as his from tears, “I know that that is nothing compared to what you went through, but, does that make me dirty too?”Stiles choked on a sob, “No Sammy, God, I’m so very sorry.” They hugged each other and then the younger boy asked, “If you don’t mind me asking, was he in high school?”Sam shook his head, “He was the father of who the party was thrown for.”The younger boy put his hand over his mouth, “I’m sorry.”Sam took a deep breath, “No, Stiles, there’s no reason to be sorry. Yeah, it made me scared, but it also made me more aware of my surroundings.” he paused, “I don’t want you telling anyone, okay Stiles?”He sighed, “I won’t, but I really think you should.”Sam shook his head, “No. I was planning on taking this to my grave, if he– if he actually went all the way, then I would have, but, he literally just pulled my pants down. That’s all.”“Sammy, that’s still so wrong, he tried to take advantage of you.”He shrugged, “Yeah, well, he didn’t manage too, okay? That means this is nothing, I just wanted to tell you because I hate it when you think about yourself like this. You are the strongest person I know.”“Really?” Stiles asked, like he was shocked - Sam could see the happiness that was starting to shine through his eyes, God, he loved this boy. "You really think so?"Sam smiled, “I really think so. Now, we are going to enjoy our time here, we’re going to sit at Derek’s table tomorrow and you’re both going to enjoy how uncomfortable I will be, and then soon enough we’ll be friends with them.”Stiles giggled, “You and Peter are going to be best friends, I can already tell.”Sam threw his head back and belly laughed, “Let’s not jump the gun.”In the living room, Dean and John smiled to each other, hearing their laughter, the energy in the motel room took a complete shift for the better.Little does Sam know, is that somebody saw the man walk out of the room that Sam was in, with his pants down. They told Dean. Dean beat the shit out of the 37 year old man so bad that he was put on a wheelchair permanently.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Derek’s POVThe next day rolled around quickly, it was confirmed that Stiles and his brothers would be sitting with them at break and lunch, as he grabbed Stiles phone number before setting off back from the arcade, and the boy messaged him in the night saying that he and his brothers will, in fact, be sitting with them. They had a conversation until about 1am, so to say that Derek was tired in the morning was an understatement. Faking a friendship with someone was hard work, believe it or not.He made sure to remind Peter in the morning to not cause tension or make things awkward, “Peter,” he said while putting his coffee in the sink, “for the love of God do not make things awkward for us. Please.”Peter smirked, “I’ll try not to.”He sighed, “I’m being serious, remember that it’s just not Sam sitting with us today, the others are too.”“Whatever.” Peter scoffed, “Don’t worry about me, I’ll be so quiet you won’t even know I’m there.”The rest of the pack came down the stairs, “Don’t be silent, Peter, just chime in every now and again to the conversations we have.” Scott said.Peter just grunted, then they were off to school. In the second period, Derek had politics and he and Sam were just talking about the work when the bell rang. They both got up and made their way to the cafeteria together, “Are you sure it’s alright for me and my brothers to sit with you guys?”“Don’t be silly Sam, of course it is. Believe it or not we actually enjoyed your company.” He said.Winchester replied, “If you say so.”Dean and Stiles stood at the cafeteria door, probably waiting for Sam.The only Winchester that Derek hadn’t spoken to as of yet, was Dean. “Yo Sammy,” the oldest Winchester said, “We still sitting with those guys?” he acted as if Derek wasn’t there even though he could see full well that he was there.“Yes, Dean, we are.” Sam replied, the older Winchester looked at Derek and didn’t even bother to say hi, “I’m Dean.”“Hey, I’m Derek,” he replied slowly.Dean looked at him up and down as they were going to the table before saying, “This is my brother Stiles, but I’m sure you already knew that, what with you skipping school with him.”Before Derek could reply, Stiles chimed in for his defence, “shut up Dean, you bunk off all the time.”“Whatever.” Dean scoffed, “we’re going to the queue, so we’ll meet you and your friends there, alright Derek?” He nodded at the Senior before going to sit on his table, he saw some weirdos sat on it so he told them to fuck off, and once they did he sat down and waited for his pack.It was only a minute later when his pack all came at once, sitting down on their table, “So, where are the little killers then?” Peter said.Derek grunted, “They’re in the queue,” he looked back and saw that they were towards the back of it, which was a surprise to him because he usually saw Dean grabbing his brothers’ arms and pushing in to the front. Huh. He really must not want to join them. “I was talking to Sam while coming here, and we saw Stiles and Dean waiting for him at the front of the cafeteria, then Dean was being all cold with me.”“He’s a dick that’s why.” Lydia stated.Peter backed her up, “oh yeah he definitely is, whenever he’s in class he always has something stupid to say, whether it’s to one of the students or to the teacher.”“Aren’t you the same though?” Erica replied.“Yes, but I do it out of jokes, he just does it to be a dick.” Peter stated.– – – – –Winchesters POV“What’s got your boxers in a twist, Dean?” Sam asked as they were waiting in line.“What’re you talking about?” He questioned.Stiles chimed in, “yeah you were all for it yesterday because of how Sam would react to sitting with them again, but now you’re being all dry and if you carry on you’re probably going to make things as awkward as Peter made it.”Dean smirked, “That’s what I’m hoping for.”“What do you mean?” Both Winchesters asked. The senior shrugged and replied, “well, Peter made it awkward when you sat there, Sam, and I can bet you any amounts of cash that they had a laugh about it behind your back–”Sam interrupted, “I highly doubt that.”Dean sighed as they started to get their food, “Whatever, just let me have my fun.” he plated up his two toast and 3 hashbrowns, Stiles got two toasts and Sam just got a bottle of water, he doesn’t eat in the morning as he’s usually full from the night before.— — — — —Derek’s POVHe noticed the Winchesters coming towards them, and the only seats available was one in between Peter and Jacksson, one in between Scott and Derek and one in between Lydia and Allison, they always sat on the round table in the middle of the cafeteria, so they weren’t constantly leaning over to get a good look at each other as they were talking. He noticed how Dean shoved Sam to sit in between Peter and Jackson, whilst laughing his head off. He and his pack knew why he was doing this, because Winchester obviously knew about the mini conflict between Peter and Sam and he clearly found it amusing, whereas Derek found it fucking rude that Dean thought like that considering the topic of what made it happen. Stiles sat in between Scott and Derek whilst Dean sat in between the two girls, “Hey ladies.” he said and gave them a wide smile.Lydia and Allison didn’t reply, so Dean said, “Tough crowd.” whilst looking at Stiles and Sam.Stiles chuckled whilst Sam put his hands over his face, the tension was loud.Cora cleared her throat, “It’s nice for you guys to join us.”“Yeah, thanks Cora,” Sam said. There was more silence, and Derek was starting to think that this whole thing was too much effort, that he should kill the Winchesters right now, “So,” Lydia said as she put her water down, “what subjects do you boys like doing?”“Oh I like learning about human anatomy,” Dean said as he looked at Lydia up and down.“Oh really?” Jackson said, seeing the eyes that Winchester was giving his girlfriend.“Yes, is there a problem with that?” Dean taunted.Jackson narrowed his eyes, “Considering the looks you’re giving my girlfriend right now I would assume so.”He heard Stiles whisper ‘oh God’ and the pack was silent waiting to see what would unfold, as Dean and Jackson had very similar personalities, Winchester replied with, “Don’t worry Jacqueline, redheads aren’t my type.”He heard Jackson growl, “calm down Jackson.” Thank God that his growls were so low that they could only be heard by the wolves on the table.“What?” Dean replied, “you get pissy because you think I’m trying to move towards your girl but when I say she’s not my type you still get all freaked out.”“You know what you’re doing.” Lydia said.“Oh yeah? And what’s that?” Dean asked.Scott sighed, “What even caused this animosity?”“Yeah, you must have told them something Sammy.” Peter said accusingly.Sam looked baffled, “I haven’t said anything wrong to him and it’s Sam, actually.”Peter hummed, “I smell bullshit.”“Woah woah let’s not.” Stiles chimed in.“Who are you to get involved?” Erica said whilst giving Stiles a dirty look.“Shut the fuck up Regina George from Alibaba.” Stiles snapped back, this was seriously getting out of hand now Derek thought whilst he could hear Dean laughing his head off in the background.“Everyone enough!” He said, wanting to get everyone’s attention.Dean interrupted, “What’s the big deal with you knucklefucks? Like on a serious note, what’s with all the tension? Have we done something that we need to know about or what?”Everyone was quiet, Derek could sense that half of the pack was seething, just at the sight of the Winchesters, which is completely understandable due to the fact that the three boys was here to hunt them and kill them, “No no, it’s not like that, what’s given that idea off?” Derek asked.Sam replied for his brother, “Well– I don’t know, it was pretty awkward at the start of lunch when I sat here– which is completely understandable because none of you know me,” oh how Derek wishes that was true, “but like,” Sam then looked at Peter, “you and,” he looked at Jackson, “Sorry, I don’t know your name, but you–”Jackson interrupted, “It’s Jackson.” he basically hissed.Sam carried on, “yeah, you were both being really– I don’t know, standoffish or something.”“Why do you care? It's not like we’re friends.” Peter replied.Sam sighed but said nothing, now the Alpha decided it would be best for himself to get involved, “We could all be friends, and the reason I asked you guys to sit with us is because it was really nice with you here, Sam, believe it or not. And when I was hanging out with you, Stiles, yesterday, I had such a good time. That’s why I wanted you guys to hang out with me and my friend group, and I know that you three come as a package deal, which is why Dean is sitting here with us too.”Dean kissed his teeth, “Thanks.” he said sarcastically.Derek grunted, “I didn’t mean it in a bad way.”There was a small silence on the table, before Cora said, “Well, can we actually have a civilised conversation now?” Nobody spoke up so she said, “I’ll take that as a yes. So boys– what subjects do you actually like doing–if you’ll actually answer it this time.”Sam replied first, “Erm, I like law and English literature.”“They’re my favourite subjects too.” Boyd replied, “Peter is really good at law.“Really?” Sam squeaked, he seemed excited at the idea of someone else liking the same interests he has, or was it because he was shocked about Peter being smart? Hmm.“Not to toot my own horn but I am amazing at law.” Peter said with pride.“That’s so cool.” Sam said, “What type of law is your specialty?” he asked him.“Well,” Peter replied, “I’m good at all branches of law, but my favourite would have to be constitutional law,” he paused before taking a good look at Sam’s face, “what about you?”Sam smiled brightly, as if Peter had given him the moon, “When I was younger I wanted to be a defence lawyer, like you know– with criminal law and stuff.”Peter said ‘of course’ under his breath, but he said it quietly enough only for the wolves’ ears, then he said, “How come you prefer the defence side over the prosecution side?”Winchester shrugged lightly, “I don’t know– I think it’d be nice for me to defend people who have wrongfully been charged, or I could at least help to minimise their sentencing.”“That’s adorable,” Peter said sarcastically, but Sam didn’t seem to understand that it was as he replied quickly, “thank you.” – If Derek was as good at reading emotions as he thought, he sensed that Peter found it kind of sweet how Sam misunderstood his sarcasm for genuinity. Yet, it was quickly replaced with hatred, as he probably remembered who Sam’s family was.The rest of lunch consisted of Sam asking Peter questions, Peter trying not to claw his own eyes out, and the pack watching in amusement.Stiles and Dean were watching purely based on the fact that they were happy to see their brother have a full conversation with someone outside of their family and Bobby, Jim and Caleb.— — — — —Winchester’s POVWhen the brothers said their byes to Derek and his friends, they quickly said that they would talk about break time before they meet everyone else for lunch, just to voice their opinions; they couldn’t do it in this moment of time because they was going to be late to class and Sam took being on time to class very seriously. Now, the bell rang for lunch.Stiles went to go meet his brothers by the bleachers, “So, how did you guys take break then?” he said as he sat next to Sam.“Fucking dogshit. Can we not go back to them, it’s awkward as shit.” Dean said.Stiles cooed, “Aww– I thought you loved awkward situations.”Dean scoffed, “yeah well this takes the cake for the most traumatic experience I have ever lived through.“Very funny.” Stiles deadpanned.Sam chimed in, sitting in between them both, “Well, I personally really enjoyed it.”“Course you did geekboy,” Dean replied, “all you were doing was talking to that loser Peter about law and shit. You do realise us and dad are literally the poster people for breaking the law.”The middle child shrugged, “yeah well– I find it interesting.”“What’s so interesting about law?” Dean emphasised ‘law’ as if it was the most disgusting thing to have ever happened, “why don’t you talk about things like hunting instead, you know– saving people, hunting things, the family business.”Sam gave his brother a bitch look, “Are you serious?”Dean realised that none of them can talk to Peter or any of the others about that sort of stuff, “Oh yeah, of course.”“I don’t know about you guys, but I actually like this town.” Stiles said.“Yeah, me too.” Sam agreed.Dean looked at his brothers, “Are you guys fucking nuts?! I hate this town and everyone in it.”“Why?” The two younger boys said at the exact same time. Dean thought that they must really like this town, as their faces were perplexed and looked as if they could have no clue why he would think such a thing.“Because– have you seen the things we’re hunting in this town? Don’t get me wrong, usually I love the thrill of the hunt, but this, this might be too much for us. And God– the people here. Hell, there is not one person who I actually like in this school, the people we were sitting with at break are weird, everyone in my classes are weird. And guess what? The teachers…” he gave a dramatic pause, “are weird! None of the women are good looking.”He saw how his brothers were laughing, so he stood up, “I’m glad you guys find this so funny, what about how everyone was treating us when we first came here? The shit in our lockers, the shoving, the rumours, and how about Josh? Hm? Him knowing about dad?”Stiles sighed and Sam stood up to look at his older brother, “Look Dean, we get it, alright? As soon as this hunt is done, we’re gone. That’s it, this is just like every other job.”Little did they know, Peter was listening in on their conversation from behind the stand, and ran back to tell the pack as soon as Sam started to stand up.— — — — —Peter’s POVThe reason why he knew where the Winchesters were talking, was simply because he followed Dean after the fourth period. He presumed that Dean wasn’t happy with the way he spoke to Sam at the start of lunch, if the cocky glares were anything to go by. After the bell rang, Dean shot up out of his chair, and quickly went to where he needed to, and Peter thought he might hear something worth telling the pack, which is why he followed them.He was surprised to hear that Sam and Stiles were actually enjoying their time in Beacon Hills, Peter was excited to wipe the happiness off their faces. Especially Sam, he can’t describe why– but he took a particular interest in the boy. Whether it was a like or dislike, he does not know. But, he doesn’t want to get closer to the boy to find out. There was something about Sam and his hair that covered half of his face, and those damn innocent puppy dog eyes that he wanted to rip out of his head.He ran back to the pack once he knew that the conversation was probably going to go round in circles, so he ran to his and his pack’s usual table to update them, “Guess what I’ve just found out.”The pack shrugged, so Peter carried on, “So, Sam and Stiles are actually loving their time here, whereas Deanie-boy thinks that he’s too good for ‘a place like this’.”Lydia narrowed her eyes, “Did he say that?”Peter pursed his lips, “In other words.” he paused then proceeded, “Oh, Dean also said that we’re all weirdos.”“Fuck off.” Cora said in shock whilst Erica said, “He did not.” at the same time.He chuckled, “oh he did.”Derek scoffed, “So what else did they say?”“Just something about what they’re hunting– aka us. He seemed to be terrified.” Peter replied.“He should be.” Jackson sneered.Allison looked up from the table, “They’re coming over to us now.”— — — — —Derek’s POVDerek turned around to look to where Allison noticed the hunters, and he got a good look at the three boys and could tell what they were feeling, just by the mere sight of them.Dean looked bored, and very annoyed, so did Stiles, and Sam looked like he was skipping for joy. It seems like after his cousin left the Winchesters to carry on their conversation in private, an argument probably went down between the oldest and youngest, or maybe just a simple disagreement. Who gives a shit anyway. They sat down on the table, Sam made his way next to Peter, Stiles made his way next to Derek and Dean sat on the one chair that had nobody at either side of him, although the table was a big, wide one so they could all still see the boy perfectly.Sam turned to look at his cousin straight away, “Hey Peter, did you know that Mars has two moons.. One called Deimos and one called Phobos?”Derek noticed how Peter sighed, his cousin was so done with the conversation already, so he let them talk as he turned to Stiles, “It seems like your brother has an interest in my cousin.”Stiles shrugged, “I wouldn’t say that, I’d think it’s just because he’s a nerd and you know that Peter is too, deep down, so they can talk about all that crap together.”He chuckled, “I guess.”He couldn’t help but notice how Dean was staring down Peter’s soul, as if he was trying to rip him apart just by looking at him, he looked at Stiles; he saw how the youngest was looking at his brother, he clearly took notice of it too.Lunch was just as it was yesterday, Sam yabbering Peter’s ear off, Derek and Stiles having small talk, and the rest of the pack getting involved now and then. The only difference was that Dean looked murderous today.— — — — —The Winchester brothers went straight home after school, there was nobody else in the motel other than them, “What crawled up you ass and died today, Dean?” Stiles asked.Dean grunted, “Don’t even–”“Don’t what?” Stiles interrupted, “you have been cranky all day and I understand that you’re not fond of Derek and the rest of his group, but they were kind enough to let us sit with them.”Sam sighed as he knew that another argument was about to strike between the two of them, they’re both too cocky for their own good, which is good in some situations, but when they’re being nasty with each other, that’s when they let it be known to the rest of the world. He decided to just sit this one out and watch how it plays out.“Let them sit with us?” Dean repeated, he sounded as if what Stiles said was absurd, “don’t be stupid kid, they’re trying to fish information out of us I just know it. And you’re both falling for it like a fish on a hook.”Sam rolled his eyes whilst Stiles replied to him, “What’re you talking about? Maybe they’re just nice people!”The eldest scoffed, “Oh yeah, do you not remember how Peter was with Sammy when he first sat on their table? He was as cocky as anything.”“Look, Dean,” the middle child started off, “I appreciate that you’re looking out for me, but that only happened the first time that I sat with them, but now, we’re having proper conversations and we actually share a lot of interests with each other. I’ve actually forgotten how he acted the first time I met him.”“Course you did.” Dean replied.“What’s that supposed to mean?” Sam asked, genuinely confused. The oldest brother sighed, “Look, Sammy– I mean this in the nicest way possible but– you’re clueless, man.” When Dean noticed that Sam tilted his head, which is what he does when he doesn’t understand what somebody is saying, he carried on, “It doesn’t matter.”“No. Carry on.” Stiles said.“Not that you’re one to boss me around, but it actually doesn’t matter. All that I’m trying to say is that I don’t like them.” Dean replied.Sam nodded in understandment, “I get what you’re saying Dean, let’s just sit with them for a bit longer, especially as we’re staying here for quite a while longer now, and if you still feel the same, then we’ll just stop sitting with them.”Dean nodded, he and Stiles apologised to each other, without actually saying sorry, yet, they both knew the message behind it, and they waited for their father to get back. — — — — —As Derek and his pack made their way to the living room, they were greeted by Chris and Rodney, the newcomer shaking Derek and Peter’s hands.“How was school?” Chris asked.“It was alright.” Lydia replied.“Yeah, fine for you.” Peter muttered.Chris noticed the comment made, “Why? Did something happen?”Scott and some of the pack chuckled, “Well,” he tried to start off, but couldn’t as he was too busy having a laughing fit, so Isaac finished off the sentence for him, “Peter has gained a fan.”“Who?” Chris asked.Erica replied, “Sam Winchester.” the rest of the pack started laughing, especially when Peter grunted, “he’s so frigging annoying, the know-it-all little shit.”“Tell me about it.” Rodney said as he rolled his eyes.Chris turned to the other hunter, “How has your experience been with them?”“The Winchesters?”Argent nodded in confirmation, so Rodney replied, “John is rude, his eldest son is just as rude, Stiles is working his way up along with them. But Sam, he wasn’t so bad. Of course that wasn’t until–” he stopped himself, “nevermind.”“No please,” Jackson said, “Share with the rest of the class.”Peter added, “yes please do, I hate the little twerp, he’s always yapping in my ear about random shit that I couldn’t care about.”Rodney shook his head, “I’d rather not, it’s quite personal. But it’s nothing harmful, if it was, I’d definitely tell you.”Derek nodded his head out of respect, “We totally understand.” he then clapped his hands, “Right, let’s get something comfy on, and I don’t know about you guys, but I’m absolutely starving.”The pack nodded in agreement, so they quickly made their way to their rooms to get changed and eat a butt-load of food.As they sat down and ate, Boyd asked, “So.. when do we actually confront the Winchesters?”“When the time is right.” Derek replied as he blew on his fork, to try and cool the spaghetti down.“Yes, but when is the time right? I mean– with the way we’re going with them, we’re just going to stay being friends with them, until they finally realise we’re werewolves.” Boyd said. The pack looked at each other, as did Rodney and Chris, until Peter piped up, “Wasn’t that the whole plan? Become close friends with them and then once they realise who we are– we kill them.”Allison sighed, “I don’t know if I’m comfortable with that anymore.”“Tough shit princess.” Cora replied in a rude manner.Everyone fell silent, until Allison said, “Look, what if his family didn’t even do it–”“Of course they did,” Erica said, “They killed Rod’s friend, which means they can kill anyone, especially seeing as he was human. Who knows how far they take it to species like we are?”“I actually agree with Allison,” Scott said, all heads turned to him, “Here me out– you guys were there when Peter literally asked Sam if he knew anything about it, he was so confused, and when he denied knowing anything, his heart rate was steady. And I may not have been born a werewolf, but it doesn’t take a scientist to figure out that that means he’s telling the truth.”Derek sighed, feeling calm for some reason, usually if he hears his pack disagreeing with him, he gets angry easily. He just found it annoying when they didn’t listen to him, so he was surprised at himself with his calm response, especially given the severity of the situation, “I understand what you’re saying, Scott, maybe he and his brothers don’t know what their father did– and probably his father’s friends too. But, it doesn’t mean that he won't do the same thing in the future.”“So, what you’re saying is we take out the trash before it even becomes trash?” Scott replied.Jackson responded, “You say that like it’s a bad thing.”“That’s because it is a bad thing,” Scott near enough pleaded, “We can talk to them! Teach them that it’s wrong, it doesn’t have to end like this!”Rodney cleared his throat, “I’ve known the Winchesters for a long time, and there would be no persuading them otherwise, they’ve been hunting for most of their life.”Derek sighed as everyone around him started to debate which route would be the best to go down, he interrupted their nonsense, “Guys, we are just going to carry on what we’re doing and see where it ends up taking us, alright?”Although he heard Scott and Allison grumble, the rest of the pack agreed, or somewhat at least, so he decided to leave it there and eventually the pack made their ways upstairs to get some rest for the next day of school.— — — — —The next day of school was just like no other, the pack went to school, came back, and onto the next day. It was like this for a whole week and a half, of getting to know the Winchesters more. The original plan was for Peter to become friends with Dean, Derek to become friends with Sam, and Scott to get close with Stiles. But, it seems like the Winchesters have gravitated towards people in the pack themselves. Sam has been mainly talking to Peter, yet sometimes he found himself talking to Boyd and Allison here and there. Hell, he and Peter even have each other's phone numbers, but Peter claims that Sam can’t take a hint, and his reasoning for thinking like this is that Sam keeps messaging the wolf, and no matter how plain his responses were, the hunter would find something new to talk about. It seemed to be driving Peter up the wall.Stiles has been gravitating towards Scott, Lydia and Isaac – but he’s mainly been talking to Derek. Although they have each other’s phone numbers and they do message from time to time, it seems that Stiles isn’t as desperate to talk to him, as Sam is with Peter.Dean doesn’t have any of their phone numbers, and they can all tell that he still doesn’t like sitting with them, but he is for the sake of his brothers. But, he has made friends from his gym class, and whenever he feels like it, he just ups and leaves to go hang around his other friends, like it’s his escape. Although he and Jackson had that argument a few weeks ago, he’s talked to him the most along with Erica, Isaac and Cora. Don’t be fooled though, just because he’s talked to them the most, it doesn’t mean that he has talked to them plenty of times. They’ve probably had around three conversations. This lunch is one of those days where Dean is in a foul mood.He randomly got up and left to sit on another table where his gym friends were sat, unaware that Derek and the wolves could hear the full conversation. One of the guys, Landon Stack said, “I still don’t get why you sit with them.”Dean replied, “Eh, I only sit with them because of my brothers. They’re kind of in their group now.” All that Derek could see was the eldest Winchester stealing his chips, and that was the end of their conversation, until another one of the guys, Andy, said, “So, like, are you also part of their group.”“Nah.” His reply was simple, from the emotions that he gave off, the Alpha thought that he was probably getting bored with the conversation. He couldn’t blame him, to be fair, imagine getting away from a group of people, only to deal with your other friends talking about said group.“Why not?” Andy replied.Dean shrugged, “Dunno. They’re not too bad, but I'd rather just sit here, and not be asked questions about them.” Andy seemed to have taken the hint and left it alone. — — — — —Peter was currently getting really annoyed at Sam. Whenever he tries to engage in conversations with the pack, the middle Winchester child just pulls random facts out of his ass.“Hey Peter, did you know that bananas are berries but strawberries aren’t?” Sam said, reading his emotions, the beta could tell that the human was in a giddy mood today. God, Peter wanted to crush it so badly.“That’s just not true.” He replied, he was really not in the mood right now.“It definitely is, also, did you know that a day on Venus is longer than a year on Venus?” Sam stated to his ‘friend’, clueless to the fact that Peter was getting wound up every second a word came out of Sam’s mouth.“How in the hell is that even possible?” Peter said, dumbfounded to what Sam was even saying.“Well basically-” Sam started off, getting ready for another fact checking.Peter interrupted, “I didn’t mean that I wanted you to tell me.”Sam slouched within himself, “Oh okay. Sorry.”The pack could sense a bit of tension rolling off of Stiles, he clearly wasn’t keen on how his brother was being treated. Jackson said, “You can explain to me, Sam.” which made Sam sit up straight again to explain, with the biggest smile on his face. The brothers may think that Jackson was doing it to be nice, but Peter knew it was just to wind him up, as the younger boy knew that he didn’t like to hear Sam - or any of the brothers - voices any longer than he had too. He grunted to himself, he’ll give Jackson payback later.— — — —The rest of the day ended pretty quickly for the Winchesters, and before they knew it, they were eating dinner at the diner across the block with their dad.“So, dad, are there any new leads to where the coven of witches are?” Dean asked.John sighed, “I wish, the bastards are hiding good.”“You know dad,” Stiles started off, “maybe this case is more than just you can handle.”“I have Bobby, Caleb and Jim getting me information and leads too.” He informed his boys.“Yeah I know that, but, maybe they need to come over here, you know the saying, six eyes are better than two.”Sam furrowed his eyebrows, “No. It’s two eyes are better than one.”Stiles turned to Sam, and the next thing you know they’re bickering about who is right, and one thing leads to another and they start bickering about anything and everything. While this is happening, John looks around the diner to see two young men come in, one of who made direct eye contact with… John looked at his boys, and he was looking at Sam.He seemed to catch on if the look was anything to go by. “You know him?” John asked. Before his middle child could say anything, Dean scoffed, “Does he know him? He’s all that Sammy talks about nowadays.”“Shut up Dean, no I don’t. And it’s Sam, Sammy was–”“A chubby twelve year old, yeah yeah you’ve only said it about a gazillion times.” Dean interrupted, he left a pause then said, “Sammy” under his breath, which rose a chuckle out of Stiles.Sam plainly shook his head, “Anyway, to answer your question, dad, yes I know him. We sometimes sit with him and his friends.”Stiles decided to get involved in making jokes about Sam, so he added, “Oh, wow, Sam. I never knew you realised that more people sit at that table.”Now, Sam looked gobsmacked, “Wait, do I make it that obvious?”Dean and Stiles kept on laughing as their brother kept on asking them to tell him.— — — — —Peter and Jackson were ear-wigging on the whole conversation, one felt embarrassed and one was loving every single minute of it. Jackson was laughing his head off, “If I knew that coming to the diner would be like this every time, I’d probably live here.”“Oh shut up.” Peter replied, he heard his friend carry on laughing so he added, “Why is the food taking so long to get ready? It’s been, what? Thirty fucking hours?”Jackson snorted, “We’ve got food for about twenty people, and each one eats for five basically, so what do you expect?”“Shut the hell up.” Peter responded.Jackson turned to him, “Tell me to shut up again.”“Shut up, what’re you gonna do about it?”Jackson smiled, shook his head, and walked over to where the Winchesters sat. Fuck. Peter thought.“Hey guys,” he started off, “Hi Mr. Winchester, I’m sorry for interrupting your food, but Peter over there raised my attention that you were here, but he’s too shy to come over.”“Really?” Sam and Dean said, both in different tones. The younger boy said it as if he was excited, if his emotions were anything to go by, yet the older boy said it in such a dry and bored way, that it made Jackson wonder why he didn’t like him and his friends. Dean might be hunting werewolves, but he doesn’t know that they are.“Are you guys friends at school?” John Winchester asked, little does he know that Jackson knew that he already knows, obviously as he has heard the conversation beforehand.Jackson nodded, trying to act sweet, “Yeah we are, you have done well with your sons.”John’s reply was simple, “I know.” Although he didn’t say it in a nasty way, it still annoyed Jackson that his head was shoved so far up his ass, like father like sons.Jackson cleared his throat, “anyway, we were all hoping to invite you three to come hang out with us one day.”“We’d love to.” Sam replied at the same time that Dean said, “We’re very busy.” This caused them both to directly look at each other, and then at their youngest brother, their dad got involved, “Stiles, what do you think?”He shrugged slowly, “I don’t mind.” He actually didn’t mind to be fair, but he wasn’t ready to mention how he liked talking to Derek. Hey now, he wasn’t saying he had a crush on the older boy, just that he was fascinated by him.Jackson nodded, “That’s good, we’ll plan something when we’re back at school.”The beta heard Peter say his name under his breath, telling him that the food is ready, and to get his ass over here to help him. Jackson turned around to not raise suspicion, “Oh look, our food has arrived. I’ll see you guys at school, bye Mr Winchester.”He didn’t bother to listen in on any replies, as he was preparing Peter to give him an ear full once they arrived home, if the silent treatment was anything to go by.— — — — —Derek’s POVDerek and his pack were just sitting around, waiting for their food from the diner, they were talking to Rod some more. The hunter was actually a good guy, and Derek felt sorry for him, his best friend was killed by the Winchesters, he couldn’t wait for the right time to confront all of them. They are sick in the head, honestly. Just as he was getting more into his thoughts the door opened, and Peter and Jackson’s voices could be heard, they seemed to be arguing.Derek groaned, “What’s the matter with you too?”“Peter’s a little bitch.” Jackson’s reply was snappy. His cousin shook his head, “Let’s get our food set and I’ll explain while we eat.”The alpha sighed, and the pack made sure all the cutlery was out on the dining table, drinks were poured, all of them including Chris, Noah, Melissa and Rod sat down for their meal.“Cmon Peter, I’m itching to know.” Isaac said, whilst shaking his hands as he was dying to know what caused him and Jackson to argue. They thought it might be something serious, as usually if one of them bickers, they waste no time to tell. But, if Peter waited for everyone to sit around, maybe it was a bigger situation than they realised.“I really don’t think the dramatic wait was necessary.” Jackson huffed.“Yeah of course you would say that lizard-boy.” Peter retorted.Jackson growled and stood up, which made Derek flash his eyes bright red, to calm the situation down. Jackson bowed his a little to show respect, then he sat down, “Continue…” he said, clearly not happy still.Peter cleared his throat, “I have no other way to put this so I’m just going to rush and say it,” he said quietly, “So, we were out getting the food, and we saw the Winchesters.”“Oh God, this isn’t a good start.” Lydia muttered.“And, instead of ignoring them like I thought we would,” Peter paused, then he whispered sneakily, knowing the pack would hear him anyway, “because I thought we both had brains.”“Hey I heard that!” Jackson said.“You were supposed to. Anyway, as I was saying, I thought we were going to ignore them, but because Jackson’s a dick, he’s only gone and started a conversation with John freaking Winchester.”There was a lot of gasps of shock, Derek spoke over anyone else, “Are you serious?” He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He knew that the plan was to get closer to the boys, but he completely forgot the fact that their father would probably know about his sons’ ‘newfound friends’.“Wait.. you saw John?” Rod asked.Peter shrugged, “Well, yeah, if Sam and his brothers are eating food, their dad would obviously be with them.”“Not necessarily,” Rod replied, “when I used to be affiliated with that family, more often than not John would leave them alone whilst he hunted.”“Really?” Scott asked.“Yeah, he’d give the boys cash and he would stick them in a motel for weeks on end sometimes.” Rod said.“I think we’re getting a little of topic here,” Peter responded, “As I was saying, again,” he rolled his eyes, “Jackson went up to them, and basically started telling John how we’re friends with them, and how he’d love for them to hang out with us sometime.”“For fuck sake.” Erica muttered. Derek put his hands over his face, as he didn’t know how to respond to this new information.Peter continued, “Also, Jackson told them that we’d make a plan the next time we’re in school.”“Well that’s great.” Derek replied sarcastically.Jackson shrugged, “I don’t see what the big issue is, if we want to get close to them, hanging around at break and lunch will only take us so far, we have to make more of an effort.”“And why’s that?” Cora replied, “I think we’re going at a good pace.”“I can’t believe that I’m saying this, but I actually agree with Jackson on this one.” Allison said.Derek decided he was just going to sit back, and let his pack talk it out, because in the end he will be making the final decision anyway, so there was no need to broadcast his opinion, he’d let them discuss it. Truthfully, he didn’t know who to agree with.“And why’s that?” Chris asked his daughter.Allison sighed, “well, I don’t know about you guys,” She said as she looked around the table at her pack, “But I find it so draining talking to them, like I miss it when it was just us. And the fact we know who they truly are, and what they’re actually capable of– I hate the fact that we have to force conversation with them.”Noah decided he would speak up, “If I was to put myself in your shoes, all of you, I would hate to be the one who talks to them. Especially if, let's say, one of them gravitated towards me more— I can’t imagine how exhausting it must be to drag out a conversation with someone who’s guts you hate.”“Thank you.” Jackson said, “Now, can we actually figure out something to do with them– like, make a plan or something?”Boyd furrowed his eyebrows, “How are we going to get them to admit that they’re hunters?”Derek sighed, “I’m not sure. We need to be smart,” he looked at Rod, “I think we need to include you into the mix.”Rod nodded, “That’s fine.” he paused, “Listen, Derek, I have a nephew who the boys used to be friends with, he’s the same age as you, actually, and I think he could come useful.”Derek nodded, “Carry on.”“Okay, all of you hear me out on this one.” Rod said, making sure nobody interrupts him.“The floor is yours.” Melissa replied.Rod nodded, “Thanks. So basically, my nephew, Freddie, is the same age as Derek, he’s a hunter who used to be friends with John’s boys, but obviously with their father killing my good friend, who Freddie saw as an uncle… they had a massive falling out. Naturally. And, just so you all know, Freddie is exactly like Chris and I, we don’t hunt for shits and giggles. We just hunt the baddest motherfuckers just like you guys do yourselves when something bad comes to Beacon Hills.”He took a breath, then carried on, “My point is, what if I bring him here one day, whenever you guys are comfortable, and I enroll him in your school.”“Wouldn’t that bring attention to us though? Like, if Stiles, Sam or Dean sees him with us… they might know we’re onto something.” Boyd said.“That’s where the fun part hits.” Rod replied, “he wouldn’t hang around you guys at all, he will act like he doesn’t know who any of you are. And one day, we’ll plan for you all to go out, and then out of nowhere, Freddie appears.” he looked around to see if he had their attention.Which he did, so he carried on, “And then he will cause trouble with the Winchester boys, and bring up stuff from the past, and one of them will accidentally blurt out the fact they’re hunters, in other words.”“I like where this is going, but none of them would just be like ‘hey look at me! I’m a hunter!’” Derek said.“No, the Winchester boys obviously won’t say it like that, but they’ll end up mentioning a hunt from the past, which is where you guys come in and act shocked that they’re hunters, then you can get the jump on them, bring them to an abandoned building or something, and make them talk. Get them to own up to every bad thing that they’ve done.”Derek thought about it, as did his pack. Cora was the first one to speak up, “I think it’s a good idea.”Jackson also added, “Yeah me too, and think of it like this, obviously the Winchester boys will show their dislike for him, once we’re at break or lunch, and they might accidentally tell us stuff then and there. I think it’s perfect. The majority of the pack agreed, and all looked at Derek.“What do you think Derek?” Noah asked.Derek took a deep breath, enjoying the fact that they finally have a plan, “I think… what have we got to lose.”
