It had started as a deal between them, they would both get something out of having a child; Sakumo Hatake wanted an heir to his clan while she wanted a child that wouldnt betray her as her sons had. It had helped that the human world was at a time of peace, like she always wanted for Tenji and his people. As the rabbit goddess carries yet another child inside her, she finds herself slowly caring about the child and wanting to be with them even as Homura kept tugging at her freedom, demanding she return to her prison in the moon.
She spends most days inside the Hatake estate, staring out the windows at the sky or out by the river that flows by the front of the house. She enjoys the peace at the outskirts of the village that Sakumo lives in, hoping her child will be able to experience such peace as they grow. Sakumo tries to spend time her, talking about diffeent "mission's" he's gone on, but she doesn't like hearing him talk about killing other humans or getting hurt, so he talks about the daily lives of the civilians which interests the goddess, perhaps her child could be a civilian. It would upset Sakumo, who's family were all "ninja", but the woman didn't really care. She just wanted her youngest to live a peacful life without war, like tenji had experienced, or to never betray her like Hagoromo and Hamura had, and if that meant her child would not be a "ninja" then so be it.
Some days she thinks of her Will (Zetsu) and wonders how it is doing. Was it still trying to get her out, or had it betrayed her like her older sons? She gently puts a hand on her bulging stomach, she feels a strange mix of sadness and hope swirl inside her as she thinks of this new baby. Would they also betrayed her, or would they be a good child? Would the child eventually meet her Will, would they get along, or fight because her child could be a "ninja" like Sakumo?
Some days she thinks of taking back all the chakra that was stolen from her, from all the "ninja" in the village, even from Sakumo. But if other villages have chakra then Sakumo would need to protect the child, while she hated to think about such a thing their could always be more conflict and war. While Sakumo had his tanto, would it be enough to protect her youngest? She gently puts a hand on her belly, feeling a spark of worry. Perhaps she'd let Sakumo and the others keep her chakra... atleast for now.
After several months she gives birth and she feels a spark of warmth inside her and a smile tugs at her mouth as she looks down at the innocent newborn with silver-hair and dark purple eyes, a small horn on his forehead. She looks up and she feels sadness at Sakumo's ecstatic smile; he was happy to have a child, to be a "father". Would Tenji have been happy to see Hagoromo and Hamura, to be a "father" to them? The thought makes her feel more sadness as she passes the baby to the man. Even if her older sons never got to meet and live with their "father", atleast this son would.
"What should we name him?", Sakumo suddenly asks. This surprises her. Hagoromo and Hamura's names had come easy to her, and she handt had anyone challange her choices, but as she stares at the human man she can't think of a name. Sakumo seems to understand and asks, "How about... Kakashi? It means scarecrow."
The goddess frowns. Scarecrow? But Sakumo was a "ninja" not a farmer. And she was fairly certian that scarecrows don't move, while her son would move and get stronger, better. Sakumo gives a smile before explaining. "A Scarecrow protects fields and with your abilities and my ancestors I'm sure our son will be able to protect those he loves without any problems."
She nods. "Alright... Kakashi it is."
The days go by as the goddess watches Sakumo care for their son, and the pull of Hamura gets stronger. She looks out the windows of the small Hatake estate while holding baby kakashi. She wanted more time with her youngest son, in this peacful time.
Unfortunately Homura's pull get stronger by the day and she leaves sakumo to care for kakashi more and more, not wanting to risk hurting kakashi by suddenly disappearing.
A month later she knows she can't stay any longer, she gently lays a sleeping kakashi down and finds some normal scrolls that sakumo had laying around. She writes a short letter to Sakumo, thanking him, hoping he lived as long as life as he could as a human and a "ninja". But when it came to Kakashi.... she wasn't sure what to write. She spends a few minutes making seals for kakashi to hide her side of his heiratige to protect him, putting the seals with Sakumo's letter, to use as kakashi got older and his chakra, that Sakumo's ancester had stolen from her, got stronger. Even if the world was peacful she knew how greedy humans could be and she didn't want her baby son to be used for his power, or as a target.
When she's done she thinks more about her letter to her youngest. What could she tell her youngest child, that he should be a civilian despite what Sakumo wanted for him, that he would be alright with just one parent, that he'd be a great "ninja"? In the end he wrote an even shorter letter for her youngest son; a son she hoped to see grow from her moon prison, a child she hoped would never betray her or ever meet her Will, a son she hoped would grow up with peace or atleast find peace later on; a child she felt affection for.

I love you
