"Ok, what do we add next?" Claire asked as she stirred the pot.Leon looked back down at the old cookbook, trying to see where they had left off. "Uhh, now the potatoes.""What potatoes?!" Claire asked with some alarm."The ones I haven't chopped up yet," Leon groaned as he quickly set to work."Should I turn the heat down to give you time and keep the rest from burning?!" Claire asked as she reached for the dial on the stove. "Or do I leave it and hope for the best?! Or-?""Hang on, hang on!" Leon said as he grabbed the knife. "Yes! Wait... maybe?!" He cringed. "I don't know!""I'm doing it," Claire said resolutely as she turned the dial. She did not look nearly as confident as she sounded. "Here, I'll help you.""Thanks," Leon said as he handed her a peeled potato. "Sheesh, how do people have the energy to do this every day? This is stressful!"Claire nodded in agreement as she chopped up the potato. "It'll get better the more we do it... I hope."As Leon finished his potato, he leaned over and gave Claire a kiss on the cheek. "You're right," he said. "And if we get good enough at this, we can teach Sherry.""Exactly," Claire said as she continued to chop before saying under her breath, "...and then she can cook for us and we never have to do it again.""Claire...""I was just kidding!" she said, leaning over and pecking Leon on the lips. "Mostly..."
