You wake up in a meadow. The sun is glaring down on you, and you have no idea how you got here.
You look at yourself, and notice that instead of whatever the hell you were wearing when you fell asleep has been replaced with a rather fashionable cloak, and your hair has been tied up.
A faint trail of footsteps leads out from the meadow. Another thing you easily notice is that all colour has been drained. Either that, or you're just suddenly colourblind. Odd.With nowhere else to go, you step outside the meadow.A humble-looking town is what greets you. On your left is a few houses, and someone who seems like they're daydreaming.
On your right is a few more houses, someone fishing in the river running through here, and a woman with a stylish bow sitting on a bench, looking through some papers.In the middle is a massive statue. There's multiple other, smaller versions of the statue laying there, some even moving. A person is running around it.
As you approach the statue, said person stops to talk to you, jogging on the spot.'Oof, look at you! So scrawny!'
'Scrawny one, did you know you can press 🔲 to run? You should give it a try sometime!'... What? This isn't some video game, what is this?'Oh! And did you know you can turn ON "Always Run" in your Options menu? So you can run all the time?'Once again, this isn't a video game.'Did you know? Did you know about this? Did you know pressing 🔲 makes you run? Did you know you can run all the time by going into the Options menu? Do you run? DO YOU LIKE RUNNING?'Bloody hell."I'd rather take it easy and walk, thanks."'DISGUSTING.'This is not what you wanted to wake up to.'I, I mean, understandable! You look like you've never ran a day in your life!'Hey! You run! And you're good at it, too! Hmph!'So you need to BUILD UP THOSE MUSCLES! GET FAST! GET SWOLE! AND PRESS 🔲 TO RUN!!!!'. . . You turn away from them.You don't want to interrupt the fishing one, so you walk towards the lady."Hey."She almost jumps.'Ah!'"S-Sorry, didn't mean to startle you!"'Oh, no! It's okay!'"I just... I don't know where I am. You just seemed like the type of person that could tell me what this place is."'Oh! You're in Dormont, which is in the country of Vaugarde!'Great. Two names of places you've never heard of before.
You tune out a bit of her explanation as you consider the possibility that you may be in another world.'..and to the west is the Favour Tree!'...Well, at least it's not a possibility anymore."Favour Tree?"'Yeah! The Favour Tree! The biggest tree in a town is called the Favour Tree, and it has the ability to grant wishes!'What."What."What.'Yeah!'"Could you elaborate?"'There's not much to elaborate on, other than how to wish on it!'The woman then explains the ritual to you, but honestly, you're not going to remember it by the time you make the wish."Alright, thanks!"You walk to where you think you were told the Favour Tree was. It was the west, right? Had to be.Oh, it is. Good.You walk up to it, and try to make your wish, when...'Hang on, that's not how you do that.'Oh, great, you screwed up the ritual.Someone in a rather nice hat and similar styled cloak walks up to you, tilting their head."Right, okay then. How am I supposed to do it?"'Okay, so first you find a leaf to capture your wish in. Any leaf will do, so long as you think it'd fit.'This does not sound like the ritual the lady taught you, but you follow along. You pick out a leaf with five points on it, almost like a star."Okay, what then?"'Next, you whisper your wish into it, as many times as would fit. I go for three, personally.''After that, you fold your leaf, to keep the wish safe, then let it go.'You think about your wish long and hard, before whispering it into the leaf four times.You wish for love.You fold the leaf closed, then let it go.The cloaked person walks away, after making their own wish.You look back to the Favour Tree, and...?For a second, you could've sworn you'd seen a glow underneath it.You choose to investigate, walking underneath it, and...You find an otherworldly being, arms and chest covered in stars, with one big, four-pointed star glowing at the center. Their head is also a star, and they have no mouth.The two of you stare at eachother for a few seconds, before the other speaks..{...Hello, stranger.}

"Uhh...""Hello to you, too, stranger."This is...This is definitely something....{My, my, struck speechless at the sight of little ol' me?}Kinda, yeah????{That's so...}{Well, it's definitely SOMETHING.} {So, just who are you though, anyways? I'm waiting for someone else.}You tell them your name.{Nice name. I'm S...}. . .{Loop. I'm Loop. Here to help... Someone else.}"Did you come up with that on the spot?"{Whaaaaaat? No, i would never!}"Sure."{Anyways, why are you still here? Go on, shoo!}"Really? You're expecting me to just leave after seeing someone like YOU?"{What's that supposed to mean?}"Have you SEEN YOURSELF? YOU'RE A STAR!"{Well, people have told me I'm quite dazzling!}"I mean in the literal sense."{. . .And you're telling me this like I DON'T know that?}"The expression on your face said otherwise. You being like this must be new to you."{You think you have me all figured out, don't you?}"Of course not. But do you?"{. . .}". . ."{. . .}". . .Sorry."{No, no, you're right. I don't have to like that you're right, but you're right. I know nothing about who I am now.}Loop stares at their own hand like it's someone else's."Who were you before, then?"{Why do you want to know?}"I just wanna know more about you. You seem like a good person."{. . .} {So long as you tell me something about YOU, I'll consider it. I don't know how you even got here.}"I don't know how I got here!"{Well, while I'm waiting, how about I try helping you get out?}Well, it would be nice to get some help. . .But, on the other hand, you want to stay here a little longer."Thanks, but not right now. I'd like to explore this place a bit."{Alright, but don't take too long!}You wave Loop goodbye, and walk away from the Favour Tree.They wave back awkwardly.
