Piko carefully placed the cup of tea on the kitchen table, trying not to make any unnecessary noise. His movements were always careful, as if he was afraid that any awkward movement would disrupt the surrounding harmony. He sighed and looked at the window, where the sun was barely breaking through the roofs of the buildings. Morning rituals always brought him some kind of peace, but today he felt a slight tension - Fukase was in the next room.Only recently did they decide to take their relationship to the next level, but this closeness still seemed unusual. Piko had already gotten used to their friendship, but how to act now that they were something more than friends? This question did not leave him alone.Fukase entered the kitchen with a bag of groceries, as usual creating a small mess around himself. Piko turned at the sound of footsteps, his eyes lingering on Fukase longer than he himself realized. He quickly looked away, but it was too late - Fukase noticed his embarrassment."Hey," Fukase began, setting the bag down on the table. His voice was a little softer than usual, but there was still a hint of awkwardness in it. "Want to... cook something?"Piko raised an eyebrow, shook his head slightly, and then made a chopping motion with his hand. Fukase frowned, not understanding at first, but then he realized."Oh, you want to help with the chopping?" he asked.Piko nodded, raising his thumb in confirmation."Well, let's try," Fukase continued, grinning. "Just don't be too perfectionistic, okay?"Piko responded with a quick clap of his hands, expressing agreement. He walked over to the cabinet, took out a knife and a cutting board, but before he began chopping, he glanced at Fukase, as if asking, "Where should I start?"“Tomatoes and cucumbers,” Fukase pointed out, taking the vegetables out of the bag.Piko nodded, picked up the tomato, and began carefully slicing it. His movements were rather slow, but after a few minutes, Fukase noticed his hand stop."Is everything okay?" he asked, coming closer.Piko sighed and pointed to the knife, then raised index finger, as if to say, "I'm a little tired, just a minute."Fukase nodded, taking over some of the work. They continued cooking together, occasionally exchanging glances or small gestures. Piko gave an "great" sign when Fukase successfully sliced the carrots, and Fukase bowed playfully in response, causing Piko to laugh silently. When the salad was ready, they sat down at the table. Piko leaned back in his chair and made a circular motion with his hand, giving a thumbs up, indicating that he liked the food."Well, to be honest, it wasn't bad," Fukase said, smiling. "You can still cook if you want to." Piko frowned, then typed on the tablet next to him, "Did you see how slowly I cut?""It doesn't matter. The important thing is the result," Fukase said, helping himself to another helping. They continued to eat in silence, but it wasn't the same tense silence as before. It was cozy, calm, as if they had truly found a rhythm together. When dinner was over, Piko gestured to the sink, silently offering to wash the dishes. Fukase stopped him, placing a hand on his shoulder."I'm washing today," he said. "You've done enough already."Piko smiled, bowed slightly in gratitude, and then gestured to go into the living room.Fukase watched him go. Despite the awkwardness of their new relationship, he felt like they were getting a little closer with each passing day.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The evening was quiet, as most of their evenings were. Fukase was sprawled out on the couch, pretending to watch TV, though his mind was elsewhere. Piko was sitting next to him, his legs pulled up to his chest, playing with the edge of the pillow.Their relationship was getting closer every day, but each step was accompanied by a gentle awkwardness. They were both used to being friends, and now, in this new role, they were learning what it was like to be more than just friends.Fukase turned to Piko, who was watching the screen, but not really paying attention to what was going on there. His face seemed calm, but Fukase knew there was always more to it than he let on.“What are you thinking about?” he asked, not expecting an answer, just trying to break the silence.Piko turned, looked at him, and shrugged. Then he gestured at Fukase and tilted his head slightly, as if to ask: What about you?Fukase smiled."I think about how weird this is... You know, we've only recently become more than friends, but I still sometimes feel like... well, like nothing's changed."Piko frowned, then picked up the tablet and quickly typed, "Is that bad?"Fukase shook his head quickly."No, not at all. It's just... I'm just still getting used to it."Piko thought, his fingers lightly tapping the pillow as if to match the rhythm of his thoughts. Then he slowly moved closer, his eyes meeting Fukase's softly. He gently placed his hand on Fukase's arm without saying a word. Fukase felt the warmth of his hand and responded by squeezing it lightly in return. He still didn't know how to express everything he felt, but he knew that there was more meaning in that touch than in any words."You always know how to calm me down." He said softly.Piko smiled slightly, and then did something unexpected: he raised his hand and touched Fukase's face. His fingers slid softly along the line of his cheekbones, then lightly touched his lips, and in that moment, Fukase felt his heart begin to beat faster."Piko..." he whispered, but did not finish.Piko leaned in slightly closer, his movements slow but confident. This was the first time he had taken the initiative, and Fukase froze, not wanting to disturb this moment. Their lips met in a soft kiss, which began timidly, but became more confident with each passing second. When they pulled away, Piko looked at him, his eyes reflecting a slight awkwardness, but also confidence. He wrote on the tablet: "I want you to know that you are important to me."Fukase took his hand and brought it to his lips."And you are important to me, more than I can say."

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Fukase sat at the kitchen table, a printed sheet of hand gestures and their meanings in front of him. Piko sat next to him, smiling slightly and looking interested. He watched Fukase, who was trying his best to imitate one of the simple hand gestures, but he was… not doing it very well.“So, that means… thank you, huh?” Fukase asked, slowly bringing his hand to his chin and moving it forward. He looked as focused as a student in his first lesson, and Piko couldn’t help but chuckle silently.Piko nodded, then put his palms together and slowly repeated the gesture, showing the correct movement. Fukase snorted and shook his head.“Oh, come on, you’re doing it too perfectly. How can I reach your level?”Piko shrugged and gestured with his hand, “Try again.”“Yeah, one more time…” Fukase muttered. - Okay, "thank you."This time the gesture was more confident, and Piko nodded encouragingly. He gave a thumbs up and made the "great job" gesture.Fukase grinned."Oh, so that's "great job", huh? I'll remember that." He paused, then narrowed his eyes slyly. "How about "you're my favorite teacher"?"Piko blushed. He picked up the tablet and wrote, "This is too hard for the first lesson.""Hey, don't underestimate me," Fukase complained, but the smile never left his face. They continued the lesson, and Piko demonstrated a few more basic gestures: "yes," "no," "me," "home," "music." Fukase tried his best, but sometimes he got confused, and his mistakes made Piko laugh silently. But that was exactly what Fukase wanted to see, the small smiles Piko had been giving so rarely lately. When it came to the 'love' sign, Fukase froze. He looked at Piko, who made the sign - pinky, index finger, and thumb extended, the rest of the fingers folded. Piko did it quickly, as if it were a normal sign."That's..." Fukase paused for a second. "That's "I love you", right?"Piko nodded and slowly repeated the gesture, his eyes soft and a little embarrassed. Fukase raised his hand as well, but his fingers trembled slightly.“I love you.” he gestured, looking at Piko.Piko looked at him, and his eyes widened for a moment. He suddenly felt everything inside him tighten, from happiness, from surprise, so he didn’t know how to express his feelings. Instead of answering, he simply took Fukase’s hand and squeezed it gently, lowering their fingers to the table."I… I shouldn’t have embarrassed you," Fukase muttered, blushing and scratching the back of his head. "But you understand what I wanted to say, right?"Piko raised his head and smiled, a wide, sincere smile that he hadn’t smiled in a long time. He raised his hand again and made the "I love you" sign, then placed his hand over his heart.Fukase froze, watching him, and felt his own heartbeat respond to the rhythm."Your sign language, I think I understand already." he muttered with a smile.Piko laughed soundlessly and lightly poked him in the shoulder, then raised his hand again, "Study more.""Yeah, yeah, I’m studying." Fukase replied, starting to repeat again. "But you still understand me, even if I’m wrong."Piko nodded and wrote on his tablet, rolling his eyes, "Because you can talk."Piko and Fukase continued to sit at the table, absorbed in learning the signs. Fukase was already quite confident in his movements, despite his inexperience. But Piko was still confused when it came to more complex signs. He wasn’t completely sure of each sign, especially when it came to emotions or more abstract concepts."So… that’s "please", right?" Fukase asked, pressing his fist to his chest.Piko frowned, but then tilted his head, his fingers trembling slightly. He wasn't sure, but he immediately picked up the tablet and wrote, "Not exactly. It's "sorry". For "please", you do it like this..." He raised his two index fingers, gently touching the tips of each other.Fukase tried to imitate the gesture, but his fingers didn't fall into the right position right away. He smiled and shrugged."I thought it was easier."Piko, blushing slightly, made the "calm" gesture, touching his lips with his palm and moving it to the side. He knew that even if Fukase sometimes made mistakes, it didn't matter."You're not perfect either". he said, holding back a silent laugh.Fukase looked at him, feeling himself getting more and more accustomed to the fact that his mistakes were not judged, but rather made fun of. Even though he didn't know all the gestures, he could see how Piko was improving every day."Let's try it again". Fukase said with a little excitement.Fukase practiced a few times, trying to remember exactly how to hold his hands to make the gesture correctly. When he finally managed to repeat the gesture, his face brightened."I did it!" he exclaimed, holding back his joy.Piko couldn't help but smile, his eyes lit up, and he made the "great" sign. There was that special gratitude and tenderness on his face that Fukase valued very much. It was like a small victory for both of them. When the lesson was over, Piko, as always, approached Fukase to show him how much all his efforts meant to him. He gently took his hand, and although no words were spoken, their palms said much more."We still have a lot to learn". Fukase said, looking at Piko again. His voice was quiet, but there was confidence in it.Piko nodded and smiled, making the "later" sign. He knew that they would have many more lessons ahead of them, and they would learn together, step by step.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Fukase carefully opened the door to the storage room. He rarely came here, and most of his things had long been forgotten. But today he intended to move some of his things to Piko's house, and he convinced him to join him."It'll only take an hour, I promise." he said, trying to sound confident, but apparently he didn't believe it himself.Piko paused at the threshold, crossing his arms. His gaze said eloquently: "Are you sure?""Okay, maybe two." Fukase admitted with a slight sigh, looking around the chaotic mess. There were boxes overflowing with old things, books with yellowed pages were stacked high, and the smell of dust hung over it all. Piko winced slightly and covered his nose with his sleeve. His dust allergy was making itself felt."Wait a minute." Fukase brought a mask from the next room and handed it to Piko.He took it gratefully and put it on, nodding. They started by taking things out of the boxes, trying to figure out what to keep and what to throw away. Fukase kept commenting on the finds, as if apologizing for their condition."Look, this is my old music textbook… I never thought I'd see it again," he muttered, turning the pages.Piko came closer, glancing sideways at the textbook. But something else caught his attention - a strange silhouette in the corner of the room."What's wrong?" Fukase noticed his gaze, following the direction. There was an old piano in the corner, covered in a thick layer of dust. Fukase approached first, running his finger along the lid.“Well, I never knew it was here. I thought it had been thrown out a long time ago...” he said, more to himself than to Piko.Piko carefully lifted the lid and pressed one of the keys. A faint but clear sound was heard. He looked at Fukase in surprise and pointed at the instrument, like "try it". Fukase took a step back, embarrassed.“I... I haven’t played in a long time.” he said. “And honestly, I’m not sure I remember anything.”Piko shook his head slightly, then pointed at him, then at his ears, and then folded his hands in a pleading gesture: “You play, I listen.”“Okay...” Fukase conceded, but before sitting down, he wiped the dust off the keys. His fingers hesitantly lay on the keys. He pressed a few notes, but the sound was uneven, and he winced."Don't laugh," he warned, noticing Piko barely keeping from smiling.Piko folded his arms over his chest, his eyes saying, "I wasn't even thinking."When Fukase began to play a simple melody, Piko watched silently, as if analyzing every movement. After a minute, he sat down at the instrument as well and carefully pressed a few notes, adjusting to the rhythm. Their playing wasn't perfect, but neither of them seemed to care.At one point, Fukase made a mistake, and they both stopped. Piko quickly wrote on his tablet: "I liked it. Let's do it again."Fukase chuckled."You just want me to continue embarrassing myself, huh?" Piko couldn't help but slap his hand softly on the piano lid, raising an eyebrow as if to say: "You started it."They played for another hour or so, until the sun began to set outside. When they stopped, a rare sense of calm settled over the room."I think we've found something new we can do together." Fukase said, standing up from his stool.Piko looked at him and gave him a thumbs up. His eyes said more than any words: "thank you for this moment."

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The night was quiet, the only sound outside was the faint rustling of leaves in the wind, and in Piko and Fukase's room there was that special coziness that they had both been waiting for so long. Fukase sat next to Piko, his gaze soft but, as always, focused on thinking about something. But there was something different about this moment - something that they both felt, but could not put words to.Piko moved closer to him, his body slightly tense, as if he was unsure of what to do next. His eyes darted between Fukase's face and the floor, and his hands, lying in his lap, clenched and unclenched into fists as he did not know how to react. Silently, as usual, he searched for ways to express his feelings.Fukase saw this and, without saying a word, gently reached out to Piko. His hand fell on his shoulder, holding him a little tighter. That was all it took to take the first step, a simple touch that seemed to remove the last barriers. Piko, a little surprised, froze, but did not pull away.“You know, I won’t rush you,” Fukase whispered, feeling his heart beat faster from the closeness. “Only if you’re ready…”Piko tilted his head slightly, his gaze becoming calmer. He looked at Fukase and raised his hands, gently touching his cheek. His fingers trembled, as if it were something forbidden, something that had no right to exist, but which at the same time was so necessary.Fukase felt his touch, and something inside him trembled. He couldn’t forget how Piko had suffered in the past weeks, and now that was more important than anything else. He slowly ran his lips over Piko’s fingers, feeling his palm stiffen from the gesture. It was a moment when time stood still, and their silence became something much louder than words.Piko exhaled and lowered his hand, but his gaze remained soft, full of a desire he couldn't express in words. Words weren't needed. Fukase leaned down and gently kissed his forehead, then rose to find his eyes, as if trying to understand what Piko felt in return.— "It's okay," Fukase said quietly. "You don't have to say anything. I'm here."Piko felt his heart speed up. He didn't know how to respond, but his body, his breathing, spoke for themselves. He placed his hand on Fukase's chest, and in that moment, everything was clear: Piko wasn't looking for words, but for safety and trust.Fukase noticed how his face became tense, but not distant. And before he could say anything, Piko gently reached out to him, bringing his head closer. The kiss they shared was gentle and careful, without unnecessary passion, but with deep meaning in every movement.Piko trembled, his arms gently wrapped around Fukase's neck, but he didn't know what to do next. This was something new and frightening, but at the same time absolutely necessary. He knew that, despite his reliance on silence, he could find a way to talk to Fukase, even if it took time.Fukase, sensing his confusion, took his hands lightly, taking his time. He knew that Piko, despite his gentleness, sometimes needed some kind of plan, some kind of structure. And that was why he was not rushing things. He was willing to wait, willing to understand step by step what Piko could offer him, and vice versa.Piko took his hand and touched his fingers. He made a gesture, not wanting to write, but conveying with his whole body: "Thank you."Fukase looked at him, and they both realized that this was much more than just a touch. It was a mutual understanding, that very beginning when words become unnecessary.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Fukase stood in front of the stove, his fingers clenched around the frying pan handle as if his life depended on it. The flames, small as they were, seemed threatening to him, reminding him of one of the most terrifying moments of his life. Once again, unable to bear it any longer, he quickly turned off the heat.“It’s under control..” he muttered, as if reassuring himself.Piko, standing next to him, watched him. He saw how Fukase’s shoulders tensed, how his breathing became slightly more ragged. Piko took a step closer and gently touched his hand, trying to calm him down.Fukase flinched, but then looked at Piko. His eyes were worried, but also determined. He didn’t want to back down.“Okay,” he said, exhaling. “Just remind me that nothing bad will happen.” Piko nodded and picked up the tablet, quickly writing, "You can do it. I'm here."Fukase took a deep breath and turned on the stove. He froze for a moment as the fire danced beneath the pan. Memories began to roll in like a wave: the cracking of wood, the smell of smoke, the screams. He instinctively stepped back, his hand shaking.Piko raised his hand without a word. He tilted his head slightly, gesturing, "You can do it." Fukase responded with a nervous laugh."You're so sure, huh? Maybe it's because it's not you, who standing in front of this monster?"The flames sizzled as the oil hit the hot surface, and Fukase flinched, his fingers almost letting go of the pan. He took a step back, but Piko gently held his hand, gesturing, "I'll help."Fukase nodded, but he could still feel the panic building inside him. He put the spoon down and closed his eyes, trying to calm himself. Images of the flames that had once surrounded him, forcing him to fight for his life, began to appear in his mind."Gimme a minute." he whispered, stepping away from the stove.Piko quickly took his place, carefully stirring the bacon in the pan. He worked steadily but slowly, giving Fukase time to recover. Piko didn't try to distract him, he just kept cooking, showing that together they could do this.As the smell of bacon began to fill the kitchen, Fukase felt his fear begin to ease a little. He walked closer and stood next to Piko, watching him as he did."I can't believe you're handling this so calmly," he muttered, more to himself than to Piko.Piko turned his head, looked at him, and gestured, "You can do this next."Fukase picked up the bowl of eggs, trying to focus on the next step. He began to crack them, trying to ignore the pan."Okay." he muttered under his breath. "Just a little more."When the dish was ready, Fukase let out a sigh of relief. His hands were still shaking, but he was proud that he hadn't backed down."Thank you." he said, looking at Piko.Piko, instead of answering, simply gave a thumbs up. It was more than words. It was an acknowledgment that Fukase had actually done well.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The morning started as usual, but this time Fukase felt a little more confident. He knew that Piko was already awake, his light footsteps could be heard in the bedroom. Fukase was in the living room, carefully laying out the sandwiches he had bought yesterday and the coffee he had recently taken from a nearby coffee shop on the table. He couldn’t cook on the stove, and he didn’t even want to think about it - the fire always brought him back to that day when the flames almost engulfed everything. When Piko entered the room, he immediately noticed the breakfast laid out. His eyes sparkled with gratitude, but he only nodded slightly, as if to say: "thank you."“Good morning,” Fukase began, trying to hide a little awkwardness.Piko walked to the table and sat down slowly, looking at the sandwiches beautifully laid out on the plates, his gaze was soft and understanding. He took out his tablet, but then stopped. Instead, he pointed at the coffee cup, then at himself, and then raised his thumb in a gesture of: "great, I appreciate it.""I'm glad I guessed," Fukase smiled, sitting down opposite him and placing a cup of hot drink in front of Piko.Piko bowed his head slightly in gratitude and gestured for the sugar bowl. He always liked sweet coffee, almost like a dessert. Fukase handed him the sugar bowl, and then watched with interest as Piko poured not one, not two, but four spoons of sugar into it."This is more like syrup." he chuckled.Piko smiled at the corner of his lips, pretending to add another spoon, but stopped, looking at Fukase with a playful look. It was a rare manifestation of his lightness, which Fukase always noticed and appreciated. While they ate, Piko carefully separated the crust from the bread and cut the sandwich into tiny pieces, each of which fit into his mouth in one bite. His movements were almost mechanical, as if it were a ritual. Fukase, on the other hand, ate quickly and haphazardly, occasionally looking up to see if Piko wasn't irritated."You eat like you're afraid I'll take everything away from you." he said jokingly.Piko stopped, looked at him with mock indignation, and pointed to his plate, which had already been emptied of all its food. He then made a gesture of greedily stuffing food into his mouth, which made Fukase laugh. After breakfast, Piko cleared his plate and then headed to the sink, intending to wash it. But Fukase stopped him."It's my turn today." he said, but Piko put his hand on his shoulder and gently pointed to the sink, indicating that he intended to help.Fukase gave in, raising his hands in surrender. He stepped aside, watching Piko carefully wash the dishes. His movements were so smooth and precise that Fukase could hardly tear his eyes away. When Piko finished, he dried his hands on a towel and turned to Fukase. His eyes were asking: "what next?"“I guess we can take a short break,” Fukase suggested, smiling. “Maybe we can just watch a movie?”Piko nodded in agreement, gesturing for him to almost join him in the living room.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

The day hadn't even begun properly. It was just getting light outside, and the apartment was shrouded in silence, broken only by the occasional chirping of birds. Fukase woke up earlier than usual and managed to relax on the sofa with a cup of tea, enjoying a rare moment of peace.Piko was still asleep, his silver hair disheveled and the blanket almost completely wrapped around him. Fukase couldn't help but smile when he looked into the bedroom and saw that Piko was still asleep, his nose buried in the pillow. He decided not to wake him up yet. But the universe decided otherwise. The doorbell suddenly rang insistently. Fukase shuddered, almost spilling his tea."Who's there so early?" he muttered, sleepily rubbing his eyes and heading for the door. When he opened the door, Miki was standing on the threshold. She was like a small hurricane, not caring at all that it was only seven in the morning."Is Piko home?" she asked loudly, almost jumping into the apartment.Fukase froze in place, trying to digest what was happening."Um... yeah, but he's still... sleeping..." he began, but it was too late."Sleeping? Then I'll wake him up!" Miki had already walked inside, not listening to any objections."Wait, don't!" Fukase breathed out, but Miki just waved her hand, as if to say, "It's nothing."Piko was already standing in the bedroom doorway, his gaze full of a mixture of surprise and irritation. He was clearly not prepared for such a morning: his hair was tousled, and his face read a silent: "Why now?""Piko!" Miki ran up and hugged her brother tightly. "I missed you so much! Why don't you write? Why don't you tell me how you're doing?"Piko twitched slightly in her arms, looking at Fukase with a silent "Help." He gestured to his sister, "This is unexpected."Miki, naturally, didn't understand, frowning."What? What did he say?" she asked, turning to Fukase."Um... he said that your visit was... unexpected," Fukase translated, smiling tensely."Ah! Well, it's me," she replied nonchalantly, releasing Piko from her arms and looking him over critically from head to toe. "Have you eaten well? Have you slept well? Why are you so pale? And your hair... Did you cut it?"Piko rolled his eyes and waved his hand in a sign of "It's okay.""He says that everything is okay," Fukase translated again, sitting down at the table and clutching his head tiredly."Mmhh..." Miki didn't look entirely convinced. She sat down on the couch and finally noticed Fukase, who was trying his best to look unperturbed. "Who are you to him?"Fukase hesitated. He looked at Piko as if to ask, "Are you going to tell her or should I?" Piko blushed and quickly wrote on his tablet, "We're dating.""What?" Miki leaned forward, her eyes widening.Fukase swallowed, cleared his throat, and said, "We're dating. Since recently..."Miki looked from Fukase to Piko and back again, and then her face lit up with a smile."Oh my! Why didn't you tell me right away?!"Piko crossed his arms over his chest and gestured, "You would have acted like this anyway."— What did he say? — Miki asked again.— What… you would still be surprised, — Fukase translated with a slight chuckle.— Right! I'm always surprised, — Miki answered, beaming with happiness. She continued to bombard Piko with questions for a long time: did he eat today, who cooks, how do they live, and, of course, tried to find out who is the "top" in the relationship, making both guys blush deeply.Fukase was already feeling on edge — Miki was literally bombarding them with questions, as if she and Piko had to immediately give an account of every aspect of their lives. Piko sat next to him, his fingers nervously playing with the edge of the tablet, and his gaze darted from his sister to Fukase.Miki still didn't calm down:— So, you haven't answered me! Who cooks here? Piko? Or... — she glanced meaningfully at Fukase.Fukase, feeling himself blush, hurried to say:“I’m... more like helping. I mean, trying to cook.”Piko immediately picked up the tablet and write: “Fukase is afraid of the stove.”When Miki heard about “fear of the stove,” her violent reaction was inevitable. She immediately turned to Fukase, raising her eyebrows:“Are you afraid of cooking? Why?”Fukase tensed up. He felt the usual lump begin to rise in his chest.“I... don’t like fire. It’s a long story.”Miki was about to ask another question, but she noticed her brother raise his hand as a sign that she should shut up. She looked at Piko in surprise, but his gaze was serious. Not like it usually was when he listened to her caring monologues.Miki leaned back on the couch and crossed her arms."Okay," she muttered. "But why not just tell me right away? I'll understand."Piko wrote slowly on the tablet. "It's hard for him." Then, turning to Fukase, he touched his elbow, a small, reassuring gesture. Fukase looked back with gratitude.Miki finally slowed down a bit, her voice softening. She looked at Fukase again, her eyes catching burn scars that were now more visible in the morning light."It doesn't matter," Fukase said quietly, trying not to let the tension show in her voice. "The important thing is that we're doing well."Miki smiled slightly, her eyes softening with emotion. She looked at her brother and then at Fukase."You know, you two really… look good together," she said. "Take care of each other."Piko smiled and made a "thank you" gesture. This time, Miki understood without translation. When Miki finally packed her things and left in the evening, promising to return soon with a bunch of "family recipes", Fukase sank back onto the sofa, breathing a sigh of relief."Your sister is a real beast. But I think she cares about you too much."Piko sat down next to him and made a small gesture with a grin: "You haven't seen her with pancakes yet."Fukase laughed and put his arm around his shoulders, feeling how the morning chaos had turned into something truly cozy.
