! LORE !
‼️This is a Steven universe inspired golden wind AU, and basically everyone is a gem. In this universe it won’t be directly towards the canon at ALL, as Sheila E will be here too. Also important note, I haven’t read purple haze feedback, which means I barely know how Sheila E acts. Don’t be mad please.
How it begins: Basically, It starts off with Diavolo being the diamond that rules home world. Doppio is his pearl. Throughout the story their gems and backstories will be explained, but basically the crew all unite to rebel against the diamonds after Bruno witnesses his diamond do something immoral. Each of them have to face psychical and mental battles while they endure this journey. Also in this AU, Risotto and his gang are all just gems assigned on a mission to capture rebels. Tags will be added when necessary!
I’m unsure how many chapters I want to make this, or even if I can get far in this.IMPORTANT !! I am a bad writer. Sorry. I am apologizing now If I write anything bad, or any make any mistakes, or mis-characterize someone.Do NOT yell at me in the comments 👽. Instead, write a very generous sentence of what I did wrong. Thanks!
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Deep into the cosmos of space is a broken up planet called Home world. It is ruled by Diavolo, a diamond. Diamonds are the most powerful gems in the hierarchy, which is why Diavolo was able to rule the whole planet.
Home world also is resided by many other gems, from sapphires to topaz, the amount of gems is endless. It’s easy almost, to make a gem. You just need the required resources. And once home world ran out of room, Diavolo went from planet to planet, scouting any sort of life and resources to increase gem production.
There was a consequence to the mass amounts of gem production, however. Defects could form. Defects are gems that came out wrong, which could include just being shorter or skinnier, or even behavioral issues. Gems pop out knowing their purpose and it is likely a defect wouldn’t. Diavolo sees defected gems as waste. Scum that was taking up space in his perfect empire. A useless body that should be shattered immediately. And he did just that. Any defect he saw, heard of, he shattered. None were safe.
Diavolo didn’t shy away from being a tyrant. He was a villain in a way, but no gems could see that in him. To them, he was their leader. An example to all gems of what you should be. This allowed Diavolo to get away with immoral practices.
Fusion is a ritual, in a way, where two (or more) gems dance to combine their forms into a bigger and stronger gem. Fusion is used in the empire between specific gems in order to enhance their power. Though, only between the same gem. If you were to fuse with a gem that wasn’t the same as yours, you’d be seen as a monster. A disgusting creature. You’d be shattered on the spot.
Diavolo, however, developed a newer type of fusion. Forced fusion. He takes shattered gems and sticks their shards together to create a forced fusion of gems. This however, ends up hurting the gems that were forced together when they fused, and end up creating a monster. A gem with hands and legs and screams of agony. A true monster.
Diavolo has multiple ways to punish a misbehaving gem. There’s shattering, which kills the gems permanently, unless Diavolo decides to revive them. Bubbling, which Is where the gem is proofed and put in a bubble, unable to reform until the bubble is popped. Prison, which is where the gem is forced in a cell with a force field that hurts them, and finally rejuvenation, which is where the gem is proofed then reformed back to how they were made. All memories lost, besides their purpose.
In home world, there are gems located everywhere. Constantly working, since gems don’t require any sleep. Each gem is made to serve a specific purpose on home world. All benefit the empire.
Bruno Bucciarati is one of those gems. An Angelite.
Angelites are gems who possess a form that resembles an angel in a way. He has a halo with his bob, and wings. His gem is located on his chest. Angelites possess the ability to heal others, as their weapon is a staff. A crescent moon with a glowing orb in the center, which is attached to a pole. Angelites don’t need to walk, they just float around. They have a very high status as a gem, and are usually higher ranked than many due to their abilities. Though, there are obviously more higher up gems.
Bruno was assigned to take care of the medical bay today on home world, which means healing soldiers cracks. Rebels exist everywhere, and they defend their planets. Diavolo orders soldier to capture any rebels, but rebels can be stronger. Bruno doesn’t mind his assignment. He finds a slight joy in healing, actually.
Bruno floats out his med quarters, signaling the next quartz soldier to come in.
The soldier makes eye contact and walks over into the quarters, taking a seat on the med-bay bed area… which was just like a steel dentist chair.
Bruno summons his staff and he hovers it over the soldier’s cracked gem.
"Thanks." The soldier mumbles, crossing their arms as they hop off the bed with their newly healed gem.Bruno nods. "Mhm." He says, not attempting to even start any conversation with a soldier. Though, he wondered how that soldier got hurt. Was it from a rebel blade? A whip? Was it even a rebel?
His thoughts were quickly interrupted when his pearl, Fugo walked in the room and stood by his side.
"Bucciarati, I have the files you wanted me to retrieve." Fugo says, summoning his holo screen and floating it over to the taller gem. Bruno looks over it, nodding. He clicks a few options before closing the screen. "Thank you, Fugo. I’ve just sent the information to myself. Tell the next guard they can come inside." Fugo nods, quickly walking out of Bruno’s med-bay quarters.
Bruno sighs softly, opening his own holo screen as he scrolls through the files of gems and different gem corruption cases. Almost too quickly, an amethyst guard comes through the door. The guard as a giant eye and a small head, and they seem impatient.
Bruno walks up to them and summons his staff, pointing it at their gem and slowly waiting for it to heal.
"Took you long enough…" The guard mumbles with a scoff. After the healing process they leave and bump into Fugo purposefully.
Fugo narrows his eyes at the soldier, but knows he can’t say anything as a Pearl. He just moves to stand right back next to Bruno.
"What a rude gem.." Bruno says, not minding the fact Fugo was lower in the hierarchy than him. Like… way way way lower. Bruno has had Fugo as his pearl ever since he’s been promoted for being such a good gem. That was an era ago. An ERA.Fugo only lets out a small hum, not bothering to escalate the conversation. Bruno smiles softly at that. "It’s not like there’s cameras everywhere, Fugo." Bruno remarks, placing a hand on his hip. Fugo sighs softly. "I understand that." ⚠️ 🚧 THIS IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION 🚧 ⚠️
