Our story begins in a snowy Tokyo where the neon city lights illuminated the night sky. In this small apartment lays our heroes of this tale. We see Kei Amemura, Hitoshura, Flynn and Nanashi sitting together in a table. "So, where are Kazuya and Aleph at?" Nanashi inquired everyone as Flynn politely responded "The two of them went Christmas shopping ahead of us. They figured they would get an early start.""Who's stupid idea was it to celebrate Christmas together this year? Isn't it like a thing only couples do here in Japan?" Hitoshura huffed out, his eyes staring at his cup of hot chocolate. "It was my idea actually. But come one guys, just because us Japanese don't celebrate it like everyone else doesn't mean we can't celebrate it." Kei uttered out to the group. "Hah, figured as much. I bet you just wanna celebrate it so you can get closer to Aogami." Hitoshura said with a sneer. This comment upsets Kei as the young man stands up when he barks out "Talk about my friendship with Aogami like that again and i'll shove my laser sword so far up your own ass it'll come out of your damn throat."Just then, Flynn placed his hands forward as they reached out to prevent the two from fighting. "Enough, now's not the time to start barking up a storm during this time of year." Kei and Hitoshura then sat down to avoid any confrontation with each other while Nanashi just sipped his cup down. "Anyway, since Kazuya and Aleph went ahead of us, i figured we should do some last-minute Christmas shopping ourselves but with a small twist." Flynn said with a content smile on his face."And that "small twist" would be?" Hitoshura inquired the Samurai when Flynn replied "I'm going to assign two partners for one trip. Kei and i will head to Walmart, Hitoshura will go with Nanashi to that local Gamestop and i guess Aogami will go to Dollar General with Amanozako. Speaking of which, where are they?"Just then, a man with blue hair walked in wearing a white trench-coat. "Aogami, do you know where Amanozako is?" Kei uttered out to his partner as the Proto-Fiend replied "She's just getting used to her new human form, Young Man. She said she'll be out in just a minute." Aogami reassured Kei as he decided to sit down on the couch. "Flynn said that we are gonna go Christmas shopping in pairs and he paired you up with Amanozako." Kei said to his partner when suddenly, a girl near his age walked out of the room wearing a white sweater. "Hehe, can't believe i'm now a human." Amanozako chirped out as she stares at the group, showing off her new body. "Amanozako, you're going Christmas shopping with Aogami." Kei explained to the young demon as she slyly replied "Really now? I bet you don't want me to see the gift you're gonna get me huh. Is that it?"20 Minutes later at the nearby Walmart:
Kei and Flynn arrived at the entrance as they passed through the automated doors. "So, what are you gonna get everyone? I'm just gonna get Nanashi a new shirt since i'm getting tired of seeing him in his green jumpsuit." Flynn said to Kei as he inspected the men's clothes section. "Okay then, i'm gonna find something that Aogami would appreciate." Kei uttered out as he walked off. As Kei walked, he observed the various potential gifts around him. He knows that Aogami has started to get into reading recently. He doesn't know if the Proto-Fiend developed this interest on his own or if it's from the many times the two fused together but a book sounds like the perfect gift. Kei walked into the book section of Wal-Mart as his eyes scanned all the books in the area until he stumbled upon something that might interest his partner. It was a copy of Do Androids Of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick. "Aogami has mentioned that books with a deeper message does interest him." Kei thought to himself as he grabbed the copy of the book.Kei meets Flynn still at the clothes section of the store as the young samurai finally picks something for Nanashi. "Well, the only thing that wasn't green was a few sizes too small for him so i'm getting him this green scarf." Flynn uttered out with a disappointed tone. "I still think he'll like it, Flynn. Whether it's the same color as his clothes or not doesn't necessarily matter. What matters is Nanashi's happiness." Kei reassured Flynn as the latter replied "You're absolutely right, Kei. Let's pay for our gifts and meet up with the others."Meanwhile, at the Gamestop:
"Hey, if this place is called Gamestop, then why are they still selling games here?" Nanashi questioned as he stared at the large, glowing sign on the top. "That's not why it's called that you idiot, let's hurry up and buy these damn gifts." Hitoshura uttered out as he held the door for Nanashi. "Someone's more pissed off than usual." Nanashi said with a hint of annoyance in his voice.The two walked around the Gamestop getting a few games and even a sweater for Amanozako. "Hey, i know i'm not the most pleasant guy to be with but was i a bit harsh to Kei earlier?" Hitoshura said to the young demon hunter who replied with a blunt "No shit you were harsh to him. Maybe don't talk shit about Aogami with him around. You know well how protective he can be of him. He literally spent a whole day last week making sure the guy dosen't get lost in the mall. I'm not the nicest guy either but at least i'm not sure green-tattooed asshole."Hitoshura, huffing out, replies "You're right Nanashi, i'll apologize to him when i head back. I know the perfect gift too. I'm giving him this Satoru Gojo Funko Pop.""The hell wants a damn Funko Pop for Christmas?" Nanashi replied with bewilderment. "No one but Kei's gonna get one anyway.""Ugh, whatever man. Let's just buy our stuff and get out of here. This place blows."
Meanwhile, at the Dollar General: (Yeah, i'm not good at writing)"Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" Amanozako chanted as she sat behind Aogami. "Amanozako, we just got here." Aogami replied to the excited demon girl. Amanozako, sensing the Proto-Fiend's stress, uttered out with a smug grin "Oh? Why didn't you say that earlier?""*sighs* Let's head in." Aogami huffed out as he got out of the car. Amanozako opened the door and got out as she said "Y'know, it's pretty weird that i'm shopping with who's basically my dad in a human body? Strange, isn't it?""It's.....your not wrong there, Amanozako." Aogami replied as he opened the door. The two walked in as they scanned the area. "Well, we might not be getting a-lot but at least we're getting some cheap things.""Never took you for a cheapskate, Amanozako." Aogami joked as he reached out for a coffee cup with a cat engraved on it. Amanozako walks off as she sees a robed figure entering the store. She couldn't make out the face but she saw what appeared to be long, black goat horns on it's forehead. "Heh, i think this guy got Christmas mixed up with Halloween." Amanozako chuckled out when Aogami gazed at the figure, his expression unflinching as he whispered out "I suggest we grab the other gifts. Something about that man doesn't feel right."Amanozako feels a chilly presence in the air, no doubt coming from the mysterious figure as the young demoness nodded her head in agreement.
30 Minutes passed as the group finally reunited at the apartment. Hitoshura, with a nervous expression, uttered out "Hey Kei, I...just want to apologize for what happened earlier. It's just that the holidays remind me too much of....someone i once knew. And every-time i think of the holidays, i also think of my last moments with her before the conception. Can you forgive me?"Kei paused for a moment before he replied with a heartfelt "Of course i forgive you." before the young man continued with an angry expression "But if you do insult Aogami around me again, i will make sure you'll suffer for it.""O-Okay, I'm Sorry. Jesus, Kei's got a nasty temper on him." Hitoshura whispered to Nanashi, who shook his head in agreement. Suddenly, the apartment's lights went out and the air suddenly became extremely cold. Just then, the door was shattered into splinters by a mysterious force. A massive figure walked through as a pair of cloven hooves tapped on the floor. The intruder was wearing a dirty, faded red robe outlined with golden chains that covered it's body. Nanashi and Flynn noticed the creature's long, spider-like fingers tipped with elongated nails on it's hairy hands. The cap did little to hide it's long, sharp horns that curved upwards as the creature gazed at the group with it's yellow, goat-like eyes. A long tongue licked the beast's lips as it bared it's fangs, gleaming from the moonlight outside. "What...is that?" Hitoshura said as the monster stepped forward, catching a glimpse to it's vaguely humanoid face as it bellowed out "Let's just say that i'm Santa Claus' little helper." The demon stepped forward, shaking the room with it's hoofed feet. Flynn drew out his sword while Hitoshura created a ball of fire between his hands, prepping themselves for the imminent battle. "Oh i know who you are now, you're the Grinch." Nanashi yelled out, causing the goat-like fiend to gawk at him in confusion. "W-What? No, i'm not the Grinch. Do i look fucking green to you?" The beast said with a confused tone, shaken by the young hunter's words as he continued in an angry tone "Anyway, i'm here to punish..." but before he could finish his sentence, Nanashi piped up again, uttering out "So you're ugh...what's his name again? Scrooge?". The demon stared at Flynn as it uttered out "I take the green-one's stupid?". "I wouldn't say stupid but he never was educated on a lot of things." Flynn politely explained to the beast as it growled out "I'm not Scrooge, I'm not the Grinch. I'm Krampus." The group looked at each other for a minute when Kei said "Then why are you here then? I don't think we're on the naughty list." Krampus pulls out a pair of glasses as it reads from a list of names "That is true, Kei Amemura. You're all on the nice list except for Hitoshura. Oh and Nanashi's definitely getting an ass-whopping after calling me the Grinch." Krampus snarled out as it grabs a birch rod from it's bag. Just as the group was about the fight, Kei suddenly walks up and places his hands between Krampus and the team. "Look, i normally don't like talking to demons such as you, no offense, but can't we at least talk this out?". Kei was suddenly knocked back by Krampus' large hand, striking him across the face as it walked towards the Demi-Fiend, birch-rod in hand as it snarled "Talk it out? I'm here for a simple reason, human, and that is to punish those on Santa's shit-list." Hitoshura steps forward, his green markings glowing with a demonic power as he utters out "Hey, no one fucks with Kei except me." Hitoshura uses his demonic magic to take the fight to the rooftop, making sure no one interrupts their fight. The two lunged forward as Krampus lands a strike at Hitoshura's face. The strike did nothing as the Demi-Fiend grinned, firing off a blast of Almighty energy from his mouth. The attack managed to launch Krampus before it crashed a few feet away onto the rooftop floor. Krampus stood up with it's eyes fixed on the Demi-fiend, it's fanged maw twisted into a foul grimace as it growled out "That attack just made your punishment much more painful." Hitoshura replied with a cocky smirk "That is if you'll survive this fight." The two rushed forward, intending to end the fight when a bright light blinded the both of them. The light then converged into a humanoid shape until it resembled a certain jolly fat-man wearing a red suit with a matching red hat. "S-Santa! What are you doing here?" Krampus uttered out, surprised by the sudden appearance of Saint Nick himself. "What is the meaning of this, Krampus? Fighting someone on Christmas Eve is strictly forbidden, even if that certain someone's on the Naughty List." Santa said to Krampus in a tone not dissimilar to that of a parent disciplining a child. "But this guy's a dick, Santa. Not only that but he's a literal demon." Krampus replied to his jolly partner. "That is true Krampus but aren't you a demon yourself?" Santa inquired the monstrous Krampus, who was gonna say something before he was interrupted by Santa. "Hitoshura here also helped and supported his friends this year." Santa then conjured up a list from his hand as he scans it, noticing something was off. "Krampus, did you or did you not mess with my lists again?" "Yes but...." Krampus tried to say before Santa yelled out "How many times do we have to do this? I told you hundreds of times that you're not allowed to change my lists in any way. For that, you will have to stay here and think about what you have done until i send one of my elves to pick you up and don't you dare try to change my mind." Santa turned around and saw the Demi-Fiend, who looked on in bewilderment as he simply waved to Kris Kringle. Santa then cheerfully uttered out "Merry Christmas." before suddenly converging into a ball of light. "The fuck was that about? To think my night would get even more fucky." Hitoshura said to himself as he sees Krampus lying down on the cold snow. Suddenly, Kei busted the door open to see the goat demon staring at the snow he was sitting on. "Is now a bad time?" Kei asked Hitoshura who simply shrugged. "I....didn't think he would be upset with me. I've been with him for hundreds of years and this is the first time he's even been mad at me." Krampus pathetically muttered out, his once-angry eyes now blank as his gaze was fixed onto the white blanket beside him. The goat demon turned it's gaze towards the two, prompting Kei ask "So, what happened here?" "I wish i knew, one moment i was kicking Krampus' ass then the next, Santa shows up and basically dumped him." Hitoshura explained when Kei stared at the monster, feeling a tinge of pity in his heart as he says "How about you stay with us for a little bit?" This caused both Krampus and Hitoshura to look at the young man like he just activated a nuke. "No way in hell we are letting him stay with us? He slapped you across the room and literally picked a fight with me." Hitoshura said as Kei explained "I know but look at him. At least let him stay?" "Fine but know this Kei, it'll be your fault if Krampus here decides to turn you inside you." Hitoshura huffed out as he walked through the rooftop door. "Your friend is right y'know? Why help me if i already tried to punish him?" Krampus inquired Kei who simply shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe it's my newfound Christmas spirit to be nice or maybe it's because i see the best in everyone." The young man explained as the two of them walked down to the party. Everyone was shocked and even defensive about Krampus being with them before they slowly got used to him. Suddenly, Kazuya and Aleph arrived just as the party was gonna be over with some chicken and strawberry shortcake while Krampus helped himself to some mulled wine. After a while, Krampus senses one of the elves on the rooftop but before he left, he gave Kei a bell so that if the young man needed some punishment to dole out to demons, Krampus will offer a helping hand.....or hoof. The group waved the demon goodbye before Krampus disappeared into the snowy night sky. The End and Merry Christmas.
