The busy sounds of the holiday market fill the air.Kyle quietly grumbles to himself as he follows close behind his mother. While his family didn't celebrate Christmas, his Mom still seemed to enjoy looking around the holiday market and seeing what the other adults in South Park were trying to sell. None of it seemed very impressive to him. It was mostly cheap arts and crafts stuff, home decor, and whatever junk they decided to try and thrift away. The snow had just started to melt, bringing the adults outside, but it was still plenty cold enough for everyone to be bundled up in their winter gear as they attempt to sell their things.Their very boring things."Mom, I'm so bored!" Kyle yells, his voice just barely noticeable from the everyone clamoring in the background."Kyle I'm looking for new kitchenware. Why don't you go look at the discount toys section?" his mother says, and he freely rolls his eyes since she's not even looking at him.Part of him wants to protest, to tell her that this sucked and they should go home, but he doesn't feel it's worth the effort. Might as well try looking around, in the rare chance that there was possibly something cool."Fine!" He huffs, and then storms off towards the toys table. From his current line of sight it didn't look very good, the bright vibrant colors indicates these toys were for toddlers and not someone his age.As he approaches though he also notices a small group of adults gathering off to the right, muttering amongst themselves.Curious as to what they're looking at, he wanders on over, catching a glimpse of a kid his age darting away from the growing group. Something triggers in his mind that he looks familiar, and he decides to follow him down the grassy slope away from the bustle of the market.Simply following, since it seemed that he was running from the crowd Kyle stays quiet until he sits down on some rocks. When he approaches, he remembers where he's seen him before. Thomas, from that whole debacle Cartman tried pulling with faking having a disability. Just so the fatass could say anything he wanted."Hey!" He proclaims, recognizing him immediately. "You're that kid with Tourrette's syndrome!" The blond haired boy turns and looks directly at him, before burying his face into his hands in apparent frustration. "Oh shit man, I'm sorry." Kyle hurriedly says, feeling quite bad. "I wasn't trying to imply that was your only quality or anything." "Y-You're kind of right though. This is always gonna be a part of me-FUCK."Kyle frowns, and glances up at the edge of the market where a few adults still seem to be trying to look down at them, evidently captivated by the sight of a small child swearing; which was quite stupid in Kyle's opinion. Glaring at them, he silently waves them off, which works. Once they're gone, he decides to sit down beside him, trying to find the correct words of support. He didn't really have any first hand experience with having a mental illness, but he knew it couldn't be easy. "That's true, but...you're more then just that.""B-But no one ever gets that. SHIT. Swearing in public, that's always gonna be the first impression people get of me! Why bother trying??"For once Kyle isn't sure what to say. So he just tries being honest."I know that sucks...but the people who listen and stick around are the only ones worth caring about." He tells him. "Yeah, I guess you're right." Thomas says quietly, but Kyle gets the sense he's just agreeing to end the conversation. And he doesn't really blame him really. The Redhead takes in the silence before getting an idea. It was something he had been meaning to do this after the whole crazy Chris Hansen show incident, but he never got the chance.
"Hey, you uh, wanna exchange phone numbers?" He suggests. "I can hang out with you sometime.""FUCK. Wow, really?""Yeah, why not?"He says with enthusiasm. While he was fond of his main friend group Kyle was always eager to hang out with newer people."My Mom and I just moved houses. Think we're SHIT. closer to your school now.""Oh awesome." He says, pulling out his phone. "There's all kinds of stuff to do in this part of town."The two are suddenly interrupted by a woman's voice."Thomas! Sweetie are you all right? What are you doing over here?" she asks as she approaches, carrying a few full bags. The blond looks up at his mother and gives a light smile."I'm good actually. Made a friend."
