While the hedgehog was inside of the Great Forest, Sonic slammed his fist into bark of a tree! With the force, it detonated the tree in half and split it through it's core, causing it to fall onto the ground with a rumble!Haaah! This feeling was incredible! Sonic would never give up or release his love of training and fighting in any circumstance. The hedgehog rather instead embraced it wholeheartedly and sought to increase his power by any means necessary. His current power level he could sense himself was around twenty-five superhuman but nowhere near superpowerful enough.Sonic threw a bunch of rapid punches into the air, then several kicks, before moving through a series of fighter stances. The hedgehog was on a excursion to become the FASTEST THING ALIVE, even as far as that seemed from now.Sonic desired to get this power to be able to save his friends and family from the evil being known as Eggman-sama. But Sonic knew that at that point, he was so weak that he could not even put a single scratch onto such a powerful being's body. Let alone react to his movements... So his quest for speed, and his Freedom Fighters quest for power, continued onwards...Sonic stopped producing those movements with his body, instead returning to a stand, giving a slight smile."Heh. These energetics of speed and strength flowing through my body are incredible! One day I shall become the the fastest guy the world has ever known." Sonic said. "Now it's time to enter FULL POWER mode!"Sonic leapt down to a push up position, before doing pushups so fast he could do several of them in a second... The hedgehog kept doing more and more pushups, forcing his velocity to its maximum... Before he knew it, he had counted up to an hour, and had caused around 10000 pushups through all this effort.After that Sonic stood up and felt his slightly sore arms.The hedgehog entered into a running start before smirking and grinning, blasting off at a swift seventy-five miles per hour... He ran through the forest speeding around the trees and carving a path through it all! Sonic forced his body to its limits, increasing his speed to his maximal level... The hedgehog's smile increased in size, and he travelled throughout all of the forest, making his way through it. Sonic sped several trees, a glade, a valley, and a hill... Then the hedgehog went up a particularly high hill, slowly down slightly from the incline... Sonic forced his speed to increase, accelerating further, powering up his base form to its highest level.Sonic made his way to the top, before smiling widely... That was exactly what he had intended from the beginning! The hedgehog ran down the hill, growing faster and faster as he went down, increasing to a blistering ninety miles per hour..."Woooo! Here we go!" Sonic shouted with his arms extended back in the running habit he'd gained recently.First it was superhuman speed, next he would attempt to achieve was bullet train speed, then next sound speed, and then he'd go even further beyond. Sonic was going to train so hard and get so powerful, just you wait baka. Your artificial fighters won't be able to stop this train of speeding force!!Sonic skidded to a stop, before doing a flip and giving himself a thumbs up, breathing hard... Pushing his speed so hard had made him become exhausted and lose lots of energy. Well, that was not a problem at all. This was just the beginning... He would train himself to become the strongest, and rise above all the threats on Mobius and save it with his team!Sonic decided that that was enough training for now... Going further would only unnecessarily deplete his body's physical resources, and harm a larger quantity than it would help. Even the best fighters in the world probably did the same as well...Sonic jogged at a slower speed back to Knothole, merely a fraction of his maximum speed, navigating throughout all of the geography in the forest. Sonic chuckled as he went back, the excitement fading away from his body as he made his way through the forest's lands and ran as far as he could from all of the lands.Sonic kept running for a while, travelling further quantity in distance, heading further closer to his destination. He leapt over a lake, flying over it, before landing onto the other side, before running further. Finally, the blue hedgehog skidded to a stop outside a village full of wooden huts...Sonic walked past several Knothole residents, returning to the central square of the village where his friends where gathered. Soon, he arrived there, arriving at the place at an incredible place. There was his friends. The Freedom Fighters, a team of Knothole's fighters all together in the bonds of friendship. There was Sally the chipmunk princess who had the power level of ten, around double that of an ordinary mobian and overlander. Next to her was Bunnie who had a power level of twenty a similar amount to his, and was partially converted artificial, granting her part of the abilities that artificial fighters had. Antoine was a swordsman who wielded an ordinary metal blade, with a power level of fifteen. Lastly, there was the reliable Rotor with a power level of twelve, nothing too shabby for a fighter..."Hey guys! I've presently returned from my training! What did I miss?" Sonic said.“Hello. We were about to initiate some sparring and we were waiting for you to arrive.” Sally said. “Your training has went well I suppose?”“Indeed it had. I’ve pushed myself towards an upper level of power, nearing my limit in my control of chaos.” Sonic said.“So, it appears it is time for us to start. Everybody, find an opponent and practice fighting against them…” Sally said.Then before they could do anything, there was an explosion of chaotic energy in the Great Forest, instantly attracting Sonic and the rest’s attention. They faced the forest and looked at it in surprise.“That was an incredibly high surge of chaos! Where could it possibly originate from?” Rotor wondered.“I do not know, but I know what we should do. Such a strange occurrence warrants investigation!” Sally said.They immediately started running through the village, before they left it all together.The Freedom Fighters ran through the forest before they arrived before the culprit behind releasing the immense explosion of chaos... It was... a three foot tall artificial warrior salamander! And all around him were defeated bandits."What the! This salamander has caused all this destruction alone... What incredible power!" Sonic felt the waves of energy emanating off of the salamander. It was probably around one hundred at this point! How could such a powerful being show up on their doorstep!"I was wondering when you weaklings would show up... You have made a mess of Eggman-sama's army of artificial warriors for this past while..." the salamander said. "I am the Universalamander, and if you think this carnage is over, you're dearly mistaken!"The Freedom Fighters and the Universalamander stood off and Sonic felt the killing intent of the beastly monster. It was stabbing fear into his very veins, forcefully... To a lesser being, it would've instantly knocked them out... But the Freedom Fighters were trained and capable of withstanding this force on their own.Then the artificial salamander started walking towards the Freedom Fighters, slowly and then walked up to Sonic himself... The Universalamander and Sonic faced off, them standing in front of each other, the villainous fighter smirking and turning up his chin."You are very weak. But amongst your team of pitiful 'fighters' you are the strongest. I'd like to challenge you first..." Universalamander said."Hah. If that's what it takes to protect my village then I'll gladly fight with all the power I can muster!" Sonic slid his legs apart and moved his arms into a battle stance.Universalamander smirked widely."I cannot tell if you are brave or stupid. Well then, go ahead and attempt to throw a punch at me. Let us see what your current level of power is at hedgehog." Universalamander said.The two opponents stood off, Sonic the Hedgehog growling and sweating at the immense power of his opponent. He had to take him out, but how? His power was far too immense and high in quantity to be neutralized by a hedgehog of his caliber. Still, with the heart of the freedom fighters and their persistence they could stand up and destroy the villains of evil that dared threaten the safety of Mobius...Sonic yelled and charged in with an eighty mile per hour run, before winding back his fist and throwing a punch at Universalamander... Then all of the impact was dispersed by the refined chaos energy laying within the salamander as it landed... It was as if his punch's power had been completely neutralized...Sonic growled before yanking back another fist, and threw an entire barrage of punches at the salamander!! He threw more and more punches, throwing more hits, but all to no availl.. They were all tanked and did not cause even a single ounce of damage to the Universalamander. Sonic flipped back landing on the gorund before charging up a blast of chaos into his palm."Take this!" Sonic threw the blast forward at the Universalamander who batted it aside.Universalamander zipped to Sonic and then elbowed him in the gut so fast the hedgehog couldn't react! The hedgehog hollered before careening into the ground, rolling back from the impact of the force."Sonic!" the freedom fighters yelledSally and Antoine went to Sonic and shook him repeatedly, trying to make the hedgehog awaken... But in reality, the hedgehog had already fallen unconscious from the sheer impact of the blow.Sally grabbed the head of Sonic and shook it rapidly in an attempt to awaken the hedgehog."Sonic-kun!! Chikusho! You cannot have been defeated that easily, could you... I do not believe such a thing." Sally said."If he could not stand a chance, then what chance do we stand?" Antoine said."Don't think like that! We're the Freedom Fighters and fighting for freedom is what we do!! We cannot allow ourselves to be defeated by such a devious diabolical monster!" Sally said. "Rotor, Antoine, fight him!!"Rotor and Antoine charged in and leapt in to fight the monster a low yell increasing in volume from their throats. Antoine pulled out his sword, and Rotor slid to a stop before Antoine went forward. The coyote powered up as he ran until an aura of chaos surrounded his being... Then Antoine leapt high into the air, pulling his sword behind his head, before falling down towards Universalamander... There was a bright slash of light!!!And then Antoine landed on the other side, standing in a wide leg spreaded stance. Then suddenly, the coyote collapsed, his sword shattering apart into pieces. The Universalamander was still unharmed....Rotor ran for an uppercut before being kicked into the ground... Before Bunnie and Sally could do anything, Universalamander teleported between the two of them, extending an open palm to each of them... Universalamander charged up balls of chaos energy into both hands, releasing it! Then the two fighters were instantly sent twirling and flying away, out cold before they hit the ground."Hmph you are all so incredibly weak. Your power level is far too minuscule to even have provided me any challenge. For wasting my time I shall kill all of you with a blast of chaos now..." Universalamander charged a orb of chaos energy into his hands, it growing in size before and soon reaching the size of a small carSonic awakened at that moment blinking blearily before he saw such a sight before him. A blast of concentrated chaos that could potentially destroy all of them in one single attack! Sonic instantly got to his feet, panting and tired, before he looked all around him!Antoine! Rotor! Bunnie! Sally! Noooo!! This couldn't be! All his friends had been defeated and taken out like they were nothing! He had to avenge them! He couldn't let their defeats be in vain...Sonic clenched his fists and teeth, before entering into a power-up pose... Sonic growled and grunted and before he knew it waves of chaos were forming around him the powers of the chaos force intertwining with his body...As soon as Universalamander saw this he released the attack and looked at what the hedgehog was doing...Sonic roared and increased his power level by double, his eyes turning white and glowing! The ground ripped apart and the hedgehog kept grunting and growling as the very ground beneath him quaked. He entered into Full Power Mode, increasing his physical potential dramatically and making himself far more powerful! He grew several more quills, his teeth sharped into fangs, and his body grew more muscular...“I’ll make you pay for hurting my friends!!! I’ll destroy you!!” Sonic screamed.“Hmm… It’s been a while since I’ve had the opportunity to use more of my power but unfortunately your arrogance will make this far too easy….” Universalamander said.Sonic kept screaming and forcing his body to release more aural energy, the powers flowing through his veins at an intense intensity. The primal and visceral power emanating off of the hedgehog was violent and powerful... It was so immensely big that it shot him up to a full fourty-five in power...Now the rage boosted hedgehog lunged at the Universalamander and fought using pure power and physicality rather than any sort of thinking... By this point, the hedgehog was fighting with pure instinct and intensity... But whatever he did, it was easily deflected and repelled by the power of this salamander. This only made the hedgehog madder and more reckless, throwing himself in with yells and screams. Sonic kept wailing on Universalamander but the salamander did not even move an inch…"You ignorant beast..." Universalamander said.The salamander gut-punched Sonic in the gut causing him to be sent careening into the ground. The salamander leapt and pounced onto the Sonic and then punched him repeatedly at an intense velocity. Sonic's head was knocked back and forth and he groaned from the impact from all of the blows, blood and pain releasing from his body.Then Universalamander grabbed Sonic's head and ran forward with it... Slamming his body through several trees and causing him to cry out from all the pain!Universalamander dropped Sonic onto the ground, the bruised and beaten hedgehog crying out loudly in pain. But the hedgehog refused to give up! Sonic got up, raising himself back to his feet, growling at Universalamander! He leapt far away and put distance between the two of them."Noooo!! I won't ever give up!! My freedom fight will not end so early!" Sonic shouted, charging dual shots of energy in his hands..."Come on, is this all the power your power can output at this time? Your brain is failing to function at this point... How sad to see you fall so far so fast." Universalamander crossed his arms.Sonic raised both of his arms, aiming them right into Universalamander's face! He wouldn't let himself fall or be taken out so easily like this! Sonic roared and fired a volley of glowing chaos balls at Universalamander, using every ounce of power his body held within. Sonic fired more and more balls, them flying fast towards the salamnder, colliding with him and causing repeated explosions...Sonic panted as he finished with the attacks, panting as his hands trembled... Then he saw that the salamander was gone when the smoke cleared. What! Where did he go. Then the Universalamander decked him from behind onto the ground...Sonic's head felt the pain and he collapsed onto the ground, twitching as he tried to get up and gripped as the ground... He forced himself back into a stand, breathing in annd out, raising his fists as he stood before the unimpressed salamander."Why are you so weak? You clearly have a fighting spirit... But your potential hasn't yet been reached. Your powers are far too low and your skill is even lower." Universalamander said."Grrr! I don't care! I'll fight and fight until I take you down and save all of my friends, and my village!" Sonic said."Hmph. Give it your best, and don't hold back even a little." Universalamander spread his arms. "I will make your death less painful in such a scenario so unleash yourself Sonic!""Unleash... myself? I will engage in that behavior!" Sonic ran in with a second wind of energy.The two exchanged blows, the Universalamander suppressed to around half of his full power. The two kept fighting, throwing punches at each other at a high velocity and speed. Sonic threw a punch at Universalamander, which was dodged with a move to the side of the head then Universalamander punched Sonic in the face. The hedgehog recoiled, grunting and growling! Then he threw a flurry of fists at the Universalamander! They kept fighting and releasing their power at each other, the two fighters giving off decent levels of chaos power.Then Sonic used his speed to leapt high and throw a punch at Universalamander, Universalamander dodged, causing the punch to leave a small crater in the ground. Universalamander threw a kick, and Sonic ducked underneath, before running into the opening. Universalamander used his momentum against him and grabbed held of him, before slamming his face into the ground.Sonic threw a kick, and Universalamander leapt away, allowing the hedgehog to get up and wipe the blood away from his mouth.Sonic and Universalamander leapt at each other and threw punches at each other. They threw so many blows that Sonic sweated hard and exerted himself to an extreme quantity, pushing up against his body's very physical limit.Sonic threw many punches with one arm in a row, all of them being dodged and weaved through. Sonic spun and threw a roundhouse kick, before having it be blocked and grabbed, the hedgehog being yanked to the salamander. The salamander socked Sonic in the face, knocking him down onto the ground. Sonic got up and threw a punch at Universalamander, only to be grabbed and slammed back down.The hedgehog growled and lunged, aura flaring bright aorund him. The Universalamander did the same and lunged in, throwing punches at each other at the same time. An explosion occurred, and it shrouded them all in impact. As the smoke cleared, Sonic's fist had missed, while Universalamander's was planted right on his cheek.Sonic screamed and powered up again, causing Universalamander to walk back, Sonic's body straining underneath all of the intense effort he was putting into his body! Sonic grunted and growled and then ran forward so fast that he head reached one hundred and fourty miles per hour... Sonic threw a super fist with all of his spirit and chaos energy poured into it... One final blow to end the fight!And just when it seemed that Sonic might burst past his limit... He had a moment's hesitation. And just like that, he was kneed hard in the gut by Universalamander, crying out in pain as he flopped onto the ground like a sack of potatoes. Sonic grunted, trying to get up, but his moment had already passed... His body lost control of it's power, and his transformation ended as he reverted back into an ordinary Sonic. No! He'd lost! What would happen to Knothole now!The Freedom Fighters got up and stumbled over to Sonic, seeing the hedgehog in an extremely harmed state. They then looked to Universalamander, wondering what the artificial fighter had in mind for them next."Perhaps I underestimated you Freedom Fighters. There is potential inside of you to grow strong. I'll let you live for now but only on the condition that you stop messing around and do some actual training..." Universalamander said."But how? We've been training seriously for a long time!" Sally said."Your 'training' is child's play, princess. You need to push yourselves harder if you want to break past your limits and stand a chance against anything stronger than fodder." Universalamander said."What?? But we trained for so long to beat Eggman's forces!" Sally said. "You couldn't possibly assert that this training of ours is ineffectual!""I can and I will. Now train as hard as you can, then meet me at Bonehedge. I'll be waiting there with King Gong, and try to give us a good fight then." Universalamander turned away and started walking away. "In any other case, I'll destroy Knothole."The freedom fighters were left beaten and injured, Sonic no longer able to stand from all the effort he had expelled from his body. They had to train harder? But how could they possibly increase their strength at a higher pace... They all had decent training sessions, but was it not enough to succeed at defeating Eggman's artificial warriors??Sonic started releasing laugher out of his mouth. The Freedom Fighters all looked at him, seeming confused. Sonic guffawed longer until the hedgehog tired of such a thing and stopped, smiling at them"Huhah. That guy was really strong. He was right, we can't just train day by day like this. We have to surpass ourselves and break past our limits and fight with all we have. That's what it means to be a fighter. We've been stagnant we need to push ourselves harder if we plan on being able to even scratching Eggman in a fight..." Sonic chuckled."The hedgehog does indeed hold a point in his words. Our training may not be enough anymore, we need to find another way, some sort of thing that will help us grow faster." Antoine said."Our power levels are far from low... But they are dismal compared to the power the best fighters in the world are capable of. We have to increase our physical capabilities fast.” Rotor said.“Hah… This seems like it will be difficult but we can do this I believe in our power. We must strengthen our resolve and belief in freedom, and defeat all the threats that the world has.” Sally said. "Let's find a way. There has to be one."
