It was right there; on the table sat an unopened gift from her girlfriend, a final step in their little ‘exposure therapy’ endeavor. Emily knew exactly what was in it. She didn't need to read the note attached to it to understand where this was going. She knew exactly what she had to do… … but wasn't certain of her willingness to do so. She had read the note, for the record.  It's only temporary, 1-2 hrs max. Kinito helped but I made absolutely certain that he didn't use the ‘05 version. You’re a Mainer, maybe the taste will be more welcome? I promise you’re safe, even if I’m not here when you do this. If you think you aren’t, tell me. I don't want to have to explain to Resty what happened, heh.
Love you,

Dove.
Maine is the only state where low-bush blueberries are commercially produced. The preliminary data from the USDA in 2012 showed Maine as the largest producer of mixed blueberries, with a combined weight of 91,100,000 pounds from both high- and low-bush blueberries. The reason Em even lived in her boonie-ass town was because of her almost-three year old self being attracted to the blueberry bushes that surrounded the land that she now lived on. In her father’s words, “The land can provide for her. This is the place.” And despite all this, how exposed she was to this fruit – berry, really; she was insistent on proper terminology for plants and their anatomy; it’s in the name! – indirectly in her year-to-year existence… she was not exposed to a particular movie at that particular age where all the paraphilias and such seem to start. She was five(?) when she overheard(?) her mother(?) talk about a certain scene from that movie. ‘05 or ‘73, she’d never asked her about that, but she was definitely rattled irregardless. The only scene she’d actually caught a glimpse of was the chocolate river, and that was enough to terrify her. At that second it was ingrained into her mind that none of those kids (except that one lucky fucker) survived what happened to them… …Including a certain girl with a bastardized spelling of a last name. “Her last name looks French, but she never surrenders. Go figure,” Emily chuckled to herself before hesitantly getting up from her spot on the couch and retrieving the small, neatly made present from the table. It ironically looked like the present Mortality gave Boozoo in that one Walten Files episode. One trauma to another, or maybe it was just how the colors aligned. Either way, it was oddly funny. She carefully pulled the ribbon loose before lifting the top. She’d asked for a plain box of the…
The gum. You can’t be afraid to say it anymore. Especially with it right in front of you.
She’d purposely asked Dove for a plain silver package for the gum to be in. To help quell her anxiety, she’d said then, but a part of her – her ever-scheming brain – thought of it as perfect to prank anyone else, too. The silver vaguely reflected her two-toned face. With one side white and the other magenta – or close to it, she’d color-picked it and it wasn’t quite the same – some part of her wondered which side would have the biggest color change. Sliding a single piece of still-wrapped gum out from the package, she held it in her palm and stared at it. Deep down, she knew there were a couple problems with this method. For one, she had a chronic habit of swallowing gum. From all the silly fics she’d been reading as part of her exposure therapy, that was never shown as a good thing. Another thing was that she hadn’t had blueberry pie since she was about 8 or 9. She didn't get the dollar in the mail for winning a pie eating contest, it was for cheering her cousin on. Thankfully the second one was amended with a tweak – in addition to all the other tweaks Dove had requested – to slightly alter the taste. The problem with that was… well, solid blueberry flavor equals solid blueberry juice. The fix would increase the effects. Em had been warned about this all beforehand, and knew full well that this could cause problems. A distant voice in her head told her it probably wouldn't be that bad to be semi-stuck like that. She’d never seen the scene itself. All she knew about its effects were from the fanfics she read, how Dove and Kinito had described it, a few hypnotism sessions, and an anxiety-induced lesser filling spawned by overthinking about it. Damned be her shapeshifting powers… The point was that this was her first official understanding of it. She was, as Dove would put it, ‘a first-timer’ in most senses of the word. The more she mulled the action over, the more she realized… “This is… all done… for me. I asked for this. If I don't do this…” Something flicked- snapped- broke at the thought of letting her girlfriend down – especially after getting this far – and Emily unwrapped and tossed the piece of gum in the air, shifted into a more humanoid form – stick figures break easily – and caught the gum in her mouth before chew-
Holy shit solid blueberry flavor is NOT good for this-
She held herself back from spitting it out (while she still could, according to the fics) and, while still overwhelming as all get out, the flavor gradually mellowed out. It did remind her of home.  … She’d never properly had blueberry juice, she realized. She could've probably gotten it at a store but…
…she could share some of hers…
She almost didn't like how hot that thought was. Almost. She usually liked to share, what made this any different? What made it any different!? She snickered maniacally – mayhaps also out of some pent up emotions and sheer lustful excitement – at the thought of being so useful to her friends- her girlfriend- the part of her that desired objectification lit up at the thought of being a simple storage space for juice just for her girlfriend. She tapped her hands against the couch like a dog so desperately awaiting a treat or a thrown frisbee- And then Em sneezed. Under normal circumstances, she probably would've continued as she had been… but knowing what she knew, she froze… before running to the mirror in the hallway. “Where’s the blue where's the blue where’s the-” She stared into the mirror directly at the center of her face. A small mark of blue was forming on her nose, spreading outward slowly. It gave a similar feeling to whenever she transformed on the night before or after the full moon, except instead of soft fur, it was… It was pure blueberry juice. A chill ran up her spine at the thought. This… this was really happening. The one thing she was so so so terrified of experiencing was happening to her. By her own volition, no less! A part of her screamed ‘are you insane- you’ll die!’... but she elected to ignore it. This was her choice. She could've waited for Dove to come back from her little errand, very easily! But she was taking control. She was going to do this her way. … Emily realized that she looked… oddly pretty in blue and violet. She hesitantly reached a paw out to touch the mirror but paused just before she made contact. Despite everything, she couldn't think of any words to describe the sound that she wouldn't get a minor panic from… except for one. A low rumble, one that could normally be brushed off as her bad habit of drinking a lot of drinks instead of eating. She supposed that did include juice, so it wouldn't be a lie to say that now. Dove had seemed to imply that it took quite some time for the pressure to give way to ecstasy… but Em was very much a newcomer to any form of expansion or inflation. She had no idea what to expect as she felt her stomach slowly fill up with sweet- no, her sweet blueberry juice. God, it felt good to think that. It was… oddly soothing. She used to have issues listening to the sounds her stomach made, but that’d faded over time, and right now she- well she understood she should get back to the living room before she ended up stuck in the hallway. As she settled onto the couch, she took a second to look herself over. It didn't feel half bad, but it probably hurt more than it should've. Probably had something to do with her being a light eater, and thus not used to being actually full. Still, it wasn’t gonna kill her. Hopefully. She carefully laid a slightly swollen paw onto her belly, purring as she gently rubbed the semi-taut blue ball of juice. She… wasn’t scared. …
I’M NOT SCARED!
Emily purred even louder as she realized that she wasn’t having a panic attack or anxiety attack or anything of the sort. She did it! She ate the gum and was currently still alive! Woo! She placed her other paw onto her swelling paunch and continued to affectionately pet it. The pressure was definitely building; she could feel it through both her own body and the increasing difficulty of kneading herself. She felt somewhat self-conscious about where she knew the juice would flood next, but quietly reminded herself that digitigrade legs don't make for much of an ass anyway. Even so, she still huffed once it finally happened… before feeling… hearing?... a trickle. She knew damn well her species didn't have genitalia unless shapeshifted, so why…? …Her tail felt heavier. Glancing over her shoulder, she saw that her tail… was also flooded with juice. It looked silly, like a fluffy blue circus balloon filled with liquid that should've been tied into a balloon animal instead.  She couldn't help but giggle at the thought. … …
Where’s the gum?
A stronger rumble provided an answer to her question, and she was about to get up and grab her phone to call Dove and ask her to come home… …when she remembered she’d left it in her room. She took a deep breath and sighed, bringing her paws back to her still expanding stomach and continuing to knead to the best of her ability. She may as well make the most of it, considering that it was… starting to feel… really good-
Oh Jesus and Jehovah I am so sorry for how this is about to go d-OOWWNNN GHHH FFFFFUCCCKK…
She yelped as her body's sensitivity hiked up and seemingly every touch became electric, recoiling her paws away out of shock. She could still feel the pressure building, higher and higher, but she couldn't be brought to care. The tightness… it felt perfect. God- GOD! Why hadn't she… …done this… …sooner? I-I was scared… I’m not now… but I have to remember I was once. Despite the jolts of pure pleasure she felt striking her with every little movement she made, she settled into herself with a purring sigh, eagerly awaiting her girlfriend’s return.“Hey Em, I’m- woah.” Em… had fallen asleep. The only evidence that the blue thing on the couch was alive was the occasional shiver and the now steady rising and falling of her chest as she slept. Dove slowly walked over to Emily and tapped her on the shoulder, prompting her to chuff awake at the additional stimulus. She dazedly glanced around before her gaze properly landed on Dove. “…hi, babe…” Her once-yellow blush was now more teal, as she glanced away from Dove. “Hey, don’t be upset. You did great, especially for being all by yourself! Is there anything you need help with, now that I’m h-” “Doyourememberwhenibroughtupspigots?Canwedothatpleasethatsoundsperfecttomeplease-” Dove snickered, “Okay okay! Settle down, berry-ball-” Emily went rigid at the accidental nickname. “… I’m so sorry if that made you anxious, I won't do it a-” “Say it again.” “-gain…? B… berry-ball?” Amidst Dove’s confusion, Em’s tail started to slowly wag, the juice within audibly splashing and sloshing as she purred surprisingly loudly. “I… I think I like that name, Doveykins… again? Please?” Dove’s worries ebbed away as she carefully rubbed her girlfriend’s taut blue belly, “Of course, my little berry-ball.~”
