"It doesn't matter, I'll be with you, just like I promised, until the very end."he muttered not to soul, but to a body.his hands still cradling Yoo Joonhyuk's cold body.it's always like this, he thought bitterly. Why does he remember so late? The world seemed to be deathly still. the wind stopped blowing, and the wails of monsters came to an abrupt stop. His entire surrounding began to quietly fade.A serene atmosphere seemed to seep into his mind. Tranquil and clear as if it had been so the entire time, completely devoid of any violence.perhaps it had been the deep and painful injuries he had sustained that he was thinking like this, or was it because Yoo Joonghyuk died that the world seemed to be calm?he has witnessed the world unravel three times now. As long as he was close to Yoo Joonghyuk, the imminent erosion would slow its pace until it reached his body.As if reminding him to relish the moment of his beloveds death. There wasn't any pain that accompanied his inevitable demise, merely regret that ate him inside out.
who knows, maybe this wasn't the first time his thoughts crossed to this topic in front of death.he promised to save him yet in every lifetime he always forgets, only remembering until it was too late...The entire universe seemed to be against him, for every lifetime that he lived, he was destined to follow him like a blind puppet and watch hopelessly as he walks towards his own destruction.'ah, it's near.' a trace of thought surfaced in his mind, he could feel it. it'll envelop Yoo Joonghyuk soon. he was scared, so scared in fact that he wanted to end himself before it reaches him. his mind was frantically screaming for him to run, but where would he run to?he slowly lowered his head, his thoughts unclear. all that remained of his ruined home was fading.and he too, will fade once more.He looked at Yoo Joonghyuk one last time. A small smile bloomed on his bloodied face. He leaned closer to Yoo Joonghyuks face and planted a kiss on his cold cheeks."in the next timeline, I'll definitely save you. Once more shall I try, until I save you or until I die trying."

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

"he-Help...!"his eyes snapped open when he heard a piercing scream."Where am i...?" he muttered in confusion, his sight was blurred, he instinctively reached out to his chest, feeling an object on his left hand."spectacles..? since when did i wear one.."he slowly reached out to put the glasses with trembling hands, and sure enough his vision began to clear up. he finally started to notice his surroundings.he found himself in between fallen items and collapsed shelves. It seemed to be an old convenience store, and the entire structure was violently shaking. he stood up abruptly, and saw the source of the scream. it was a middle aged woman crouched down holding a child in her arms.suddenly, a pang of pain hit his head, his nose was filled with the distinct smell of metallic substance and his mouth was overtaken by the taste of blood. his hands tremblingly reached out to his head, it felt sticky and wet."blood? ahh.." He finally came to his senses. He was working in the cash register when an earthquake hit. A chunk of the ceiling fell on his head when he tried to exit the cash register. the woman screaming screaming and crying just now was the customer he tried to help.why wasn't there any news of this earthquake..he was a little disoriented after he got hit, maybe it was the reason to why he was able to stay call and collected in this situation?this building was unsafe due to its poor maintenance and age. Due to its location, it was scheduled to be demolished to build another luxury building. "ma'am, please please make your way out, this building might collapse!" he yelled, hurriedly crossing over the register and closer to the lady. "No! we can't go outside! there are monsters!" the lady screamed, her hands clutched the child even tighter. her eyes dimmed with confusion and fear. 'Monsters? is this lady crazy? joking even at a time like this-' he turned his head towards the glass door of the store. his thoughts faltered as his sight laid at the scenery in front him. the high-end building were crumbling in front of his very eyes, not from the earthquake, but from something far more daunting, something that could possibly only existed in the wildest corners of imaginations."monsters..." he muttered in disbelief, his mouth opened in shock as he gasped out those words. the sky was blotted with a strange and unnatural color, the thick presence of strange creatures were surfacing from it. As if a rift had cracked open in the heavens, unleashing monstrous creatures of all size, wrecking havoc in every step.BANG! A deafening crash jolted him back to his senses, something had slammed itself against the glass door. It was a massive flying creature resembling a bird but that was where the similarities ended. its wings were barely covered with feathers, it was sparse and replacing it was bones that ripped through its skin. its eyes popping out of its sockets held in place by thin fragile veins that seemed to be the last thing keeping them from falling out completely. he felt his body freeze, he quickly covered his mouth with his hands, preventing a scream from coming out. the woman stared at the thing in horror, her mouth closing and opening. she wanted to scream but the words were stuck in her throats. the grotesque creature didn't seem to notice them, with a stretched  of its wings, it attempted to fly, only to slam itself against the door once again. it was enough to crack the door from the second impact it received. undeterred, the creature flapped its wings once more, and this time, with a screech, it successfully flew to the opposite direction.
