Jungkook struggled to open his eyes as sleep weighed on them. He opened an eye to see the love of his life smiling at him. Jimin was saying something to him as he knotted the tie around his neck. Jungkook’s heart fluttered, if he wasn’t so sleepy, he would’ve done it for his husband. Jungkook tried to open his eyes again and cursed the sun for its rays were shining directly in them. Jimin must’ve done it. He loved pulling the curtains first thing in the morning, and while Jungkook hated the sun in the morning, he adored Jimin for it. Anything Jimin did, Jungkook automatically loved it. ”What are you saying?” Jungkook murmured, turning over to the other side to escape the sunny assault. Jimin chuckled and placed a soft kiss on his messy unruly head, “I said, I’ll be home late tonight. Don’t sleep for too long or that curly head of yours will hurt.” Jungkook just groaned in response. Even if Jimin hadn’t told him, he still was going to be up early. Well, not early enough as Jimin but by early by jungkook’s standard. Considering, Jimin was about to leave for his very important meeting, it must be half past eight. Jungkook would only sleep for five more minutes. That’s it.”it’s a very important day for me, Jungkook-ah!” Jimin told him, his voice light and soft like music to his ears. Jungkook smiled in his sleepy state.“You’ll do well, chim. Bring me a lemon pie if it goes well.” Jungkook said, still hiding his face in the blankets.“No. That won’t do. Today I need your goodbye kiss. Wish me well. I need those lips on mine. Cmon, get up.” Jimin said in a hot voice. He was feeling a little sultry today, huh.”My breath smells.” Jungkook pouted when Jimin grabbed his face and kissed him on the mouth before kissing both his eyes, giggling like a little boy at his precious sleepy husband.“Nice try.” *kiss* “Breakfast’s on the table. Don’t stay in bed for too long, again.” He mumbled on Jungkook’s lips before straightening up and then stepped back. The sound of the front door shutting with a gentle thud echoed around the house, signalling Jimin’s departure. “Love you too.” Jungkook whispered to the empty room shrinking into a shrimp once again, eyes closed. Five more minutes, he told himself. He’d stayed up again pulling an all-nighter. It was all because of that stupid deadline.Remote work was fairly easier than your average job was such a cruel nasty myth. It was just as brutal, except you had your own personal toilet and no one coveted your snacks at home. Being a writer wasn’t easy. Jungkook already had his feet in popularity but that was one of the reasons he was so exhausted and overworked. Everything had its downside. The more popular he was, the more expectations he had to work with. It was a blessing that Jungkook had already earned his well deserved fame years ago and that’s when he met Jimin too. At one of his fansignings early on. Jimin never missed a single fan signing, even when they were married now. He was a true devotee of jungkook’s and his passion for writing. When they’d started dating, Jimin had gingerly asked Jungkook to sign all the books he had. It was funny, and cute at the same time. They were both the same age, give or take two three years. While Jungkook came from your average upper middle class home, Jimin belonged to a wealthy family, a third generation chaebol heir, and absolutely cherished by his family. Jungkook had all kinds of thoughts that being the tycoons, elite lot they were, the family would frown upon the duo’s choice to date each other.Instead, he was welcomed, and accepted as he was.Jungkook had truly been lucky in every sense of the word. Jimin was kind, pure, precious, and very very playful. His zest for conventional, and likewise unconventional adventures was hilarious, and the fact that Jimin loved nothing more than to have Jungkook tag along with him on all his rendezvous made the butterflies in jungkook’s belly even crazier.Jungkook was aware that Jimin’s bravery, and his sense of recklessness rooted from his very elite upbringing where he was cherished, and protected from the world, just as he was encouraged to try all kinds of things in life. Jimin was an absolute ray of sunshine and he’d turned Jungkook's life around too. Jungkook had loved every minute of his time spent with Jimin before they’d started dating. Jungkook’s heart always skipped a beat at the fact that they both made excuses to see each other long before any contact information was shared between them. Both of them took turns loitering around each other's workplaces. Before Jungkook propelled into stardom, he’d spent all his days at cafés and libraries, and somehow Jimin would always be there for his coffee “break”. He didn’t even like coffee, Jungkook knew because Jimin would always scrunch his nose and shake his head. And Jungkook loved to see it, so when he wasn’t working, he would pretend to wait for a friend in the vicinity of J & J Group, fully aware that it was the key to glimpsing Jimin. It had become their thing. It would seem odd to others, but they hardly cared. The sparks flew between them. The kind of fire none of them had ever felt before. It was unreal. Eventually, Jimin had alerted his security that at any time they were to spot Jungkook around, they’d personally notify him. Like the cherished prince he was, Jimin Was instantly obeyed. Jungkook was told all of his much later into their marriage. It had been three lovely years and Jungkook still loved to talk and think about it. He was obsessed with his husband.
