Orpheus’s eyes cracked open. The sight they saw made them smile. Blade laid next to them in bed. Orpheus scooted closer to their boyfriend, wrapping their arms around the larger male. Orpheus cuddled into Blade’s chest. Blade’s hand goes to the back of Orpheus’s head. He brought Orpheus’s face into his chest. Orpheus nuzzled closer, their face squished against Blade’s tits.Orpheus’s room was dim even in the morning sun, a thick blanket used as blinds hanging over the window blocked out the light from outside. Orpheus closed their eyes again. They doze off, losing track of time. The slow rise and fall of Blade’s chest lulled them back to slumber. Orpheus woke up to prodding. They slowly opened their eyes to the sight of Blade’s face over them.“We slept in enough. Time to get up.” Blade said, voice gruff with sleepiness.Orpheus whined, “I don’t wanna.”“Up.”He gently herded Orpheus out of bed, guiding them to the kitchen. Orpheus yawned loud, stretching their limbs, and rubbed the sleep out of their eyes. They looked over at Blade’s chest and saw a dried drool spot. Orpheus grinned and snickered at the sight of it. Blade shook his head and sighed at Orpheus’s immaturity. He walked to the sink, wetting a hand sized paper towel and wiped the dried drool off his chest.Orpheus glanced over at the oven clock. It was 1:20 pm, still a perfect time to make coffee. Orpheus turned to Blade.“Coffee?” They asked, raising the coffee dripper. Blade looked over to Orpheus and nodded.Orpheus turned back to the Keurig coffee maker, turning it on. They waited for the machine to heat up and be ready to dispense hot water in the metal cup with a handle. They pushed the button indicating the largest serving amount of water in the metal cup.While that was happening, Orpheus grabbed two mugs from the cabinet. One large ceramic mug, navy colored with a red heart outlined in a thick black outline, and the other also made of ceramic, it’s a bit smaller but with a spider lily design on it.Orpheus grabbed the metal vessel with the hot water in it. Orpheus put the coffee dripper on top of the spider lily mug. They placed the coffee filter in the coffee dripper, and scooped two tablespoonfuls in the coffee filter. They poured the hot water in the coffee in a circular motion.The coffee filter poured coffee from the bottom of the coffee drip. Orpheus hummed at the sound of coffee pouring into the mug.Blade opened the fridge, pulling out the pork buns. Orpheus saw the pork buns in Blade’s hands. They grinned.“Good choice!” Orpheus said, excitedly.Blade flipped over the package to read the heating directions. “Mmhmm. I know you enjoy pork buns.” He replied.“And they’re easy to cook!” Orpheus hummed. They finished brewing the coffee in the spider lily mug. They took the coffee dripper off the freshly made coffee. Orpheus handed Blade his coffee. Blade nodded in thanks and took the coffee. He blew on it, then sipped it, a faint smile graced his lips.Orpheus swooned at the sight of Blade. “Have I ever told you I’m deeply in love with you?” They asked, their voice filled with affection.“You have. Every day.” Blade replied immediately.“It will happen again tomorrow.” Orpheus promised. Blade let out an amused huff. Orpheus flashed him a smile and turned back to make their own coffee, repeating the exact methods they used to make Blade’s coffee. Only difference is that Orpheus used the blueberry cobbler coffee instead of the dark roast. Blade takes out seven pork buns from the bag. He set them on a plate.Blade puts the bag back into the fridge. Looking into the fridge again, Blade sees the beef and bok choy from last night. He immediately grabbed the Tupperware containing them. He set them down on the counter and grabbed the pan from underneathBlade also grabbed the oil. He poured a good amount in the pan and turned on the stovetop. He moved the oil all around inside the pan. Blade pours the beef and bok choy in the pan to heat it up.“Need me to make the pork buns?” Orpheus asked.“That would be helpful, yes.”Orpheus nodded. They moved away from the coffee making station to the pork buns that laid on the counter. They grabbed several pieces of paper towels, ripping them in seven strips that could cover the pork buns. They dampened them and wrapped each pork buns individually.“What was the time for the pork buns?”“Thirty seconds.” Blade answered, as he heated up the beef and bok choy.Orpheus cooked them in the microwave in pairs. The one left without a partner went last.Orpheus unpeeled the paper towels from then and set them back onto the plate.Orpheus grabbed chopsticks and hand held eating bowls to set the table. Blade turned off the stove top, setting the reheated beef and bok choy onto the serving plate and placed the food dish onto the middle of the table. He turned back to the stove top, setting the pan onto it. Orpheus put the cooked pork buns next to the beef and bok choy.Blade sat down first before Orpheus came back with their coffee. They sat next to him. Blade, now holding chopsticks, started serving Orpheus their bowl first.He scooped up a mixture of beef and bok choy into Orpheus’s bowl with his chopsticks. He grabbed a plate, setting two pork buns on it before serving himself a similar amount.“Thank you for the delicious meal.”“No problem.” Blade responded with a nod.Orpheus took their chopsticks and they started eating. Blade began to eat as well. Orpheus ate one bok choy carefully at a time, but when it came to the beef, they ate a couple at a time. They took a couple of bites of their pork bun. As Orpheus and Blade ate, they both occasionally drank their coffee.Blade saw that the number of bok choy eventually decreased in Orpheus’s bowl, so he put another several bok choy from the serving bowl into their bowl to replace the ones that were eaten by Orpheus.“Hey!” Orpheus said in a playful voice at the new veggies. Blade shot them a glare.“I know you skip out on eating your vegetables. Eat.” Blade replied, calling them out on their bullshit.“Alright, you got me there.” Orpheus chuckled.Orpheus grabbed one of the new bok choy, popping it into their mouth. Blade hummed in approval. He bit into his pork bun. Both of them ate at a leisurely pace. Orpheus ate all of their bok choy first, then their beef, and finally finished both of their pork buns.Blade ate his pork buns first, then his bok choy, and lastly his beef.After breakfast (although it was technically lunch) was finished, Blade and Orpheus cleared the table and put away the food.Blade hand washed the pan while Orpheus put the dishes near the sink. They put the clean dishes away. Blade finished with the pan and put it in the drying spot. After the clean bowls and plates were put away, Orpheus put away the clean silverware last.The dirty dishes replaced the clean dishes and Orpheus put the dirty sign up.“There we go.” They said and turned to see Blade putting the last three pork buns and the rest of the bok choy and beef in the frigide.Blade nodded in response with a faint smirk. He walked over to Orpheus and fondly gave them head pats. Orpheus leaned into Blade’s touch. They grabbed Blade’s hand, pulling him to the couch. He sat down and Orpheus cuddled right next to him. Blade grabbed the tv remote, turned on the TV, and they relaxed by watching tv together for the rest of the day.
