Work Text
“Jake! I am taking my thirty-minute break! Text me if you need me back.”
From behind the counter, Jake flashed a thumbs-up before returning to helping the lady at the counter. With that, the beleaguered cashier took himself out of the building.
Walking down the plaza, the man took some time to check how he looked in the mirror. It was blatantly clear that he was stressed, as his brown bob of hair had numerous stray strands.
After fixing them and the pink streak through his hair, he looked at his main work uniform. His dark blue t-shirt and pan flag cat face mask were crooked and wrinkled, but thankfully his khaki pants were fine.
He didn’t have much time, so he needed to get to his errands right off the bat. After adjusting his shirt, he started with a quick run through the corner store.
He grabbed 3 drinks, as well as some scattered snacks. Thankfully, he wasn’t in line for long. Which meant he could store them back at work and move on.
He then went to the nearby sandwich shop. Unlike the corner store, this one was practically dead. Not shocking for a restaurant at 3:30 in the afternoon on a wednesday.
Other than some faceless people Avery didn’t know, the only person in the store was the manager. An older guy named Carl, he looked like he would be more fitting at a dock than in a sandwich shop.
As Avery entered the building, Carl leaned against the counter and said “Hey Avery! Same as always, or you want to try something different?”
Avery walked up to the counter, saying in an exhausted tone “The usual. With uh… extra mayo. But only a quarter sandwich today. I am not that hungry.”
Carl grabbed the bread, he leaned in close to Avery. “Aw, don’t give me that. You are just too stressed.” With that, he cut the bread in half and began to apply the toppings.
“Listen. I’ll make you half sandwich, and charge for quarter. And if I wrong, give to that coworker of yours or boyfriend when you see him later.”
While well-meaning, those last words sent a bad shiver down Avery’s spine. But keeping his cool, Avery paid for his sandwich before heading back to the tech shop.
Not wanting to go back inside, he sat himself on the curb near the back of the building and sat down. With a disappointed sigh, he unwrapped one of the sandwich halves and dug in.
It was nice, with everything Avery needed in his diet. Simple whole wheat bread, with a small splash of sub sandwich dressing under the mayo. Above that was tuna, chopped hard-boiled eggs, and spinach.
Unconventional, but it got a lot of what he needed in his diet. So any other time, he happily would eat this. But today, he struggled to eat even this bit.
Putting down the unfinished sandwich, Avery checked his phone. He still had 12 minutes on his break, so he laid against the wall and tried to drown out all the noise in his head.
This kinda worked, although he occasionally fell back into his bad attitude. But it was at least the most minute moment of not dealing with it.
After some time, a snap from in front of him brought him out of his head. Standing above him was someone new, a lady who seemed to take an interest in him.
She was dressed in exceptionally casual clothing. A black beanie with text that Avery couldn’t read atop her long brown, a green zip-up hoodie over a black t-shirt, and short shorts over black tights.
The main thing that caught Avery’s attention was that she certainly was a stoner. Not only did the t-shirt have a weed leaf on it, but she smelled like she was literally made of weed.
After looking at Avery for a minute, Hannah said “Yo. You alright man? You look like you’re about to like… either start crying or like… uh…. I don’t know, something not good.”
The sudden kind words did quite a bit to remove any tension that Avery would have. So he timidly said back and said “Oh, sorry… Life’s been really rough.”
Seemingly wanting to comfort her new companion, the mysterious woman sat herself down next to Avery. Which he didn’t overly mind, especially as she didn’t seem to give him a little bit of space.
When she got as comfortable as she could, the mysterious stoner began to dig into her hoodie pockets. After a bit of fishing, she pulled out a fat blunt and a lighter.
Holding it out, she said in a chill voice. “Yo. Want a hit before you get back to work? I promise, this shit is like… melt away your worries~ And your boss won’t even notice~”
Avery did consider it for a brief second. Especially as it probably would help a lot. However, he told the mysterious woman “I… can’t smoke. For my health. But thank you!”
After thinking for a second, the lady just let out a small huff. Avery couldn’t fully figure out what was going on in her head, so he tried to play nice a bit.
He took the quarter of the sandwich he wasn’t going to eat and handed it over to this woman. “Here. I am not going to finish. And my boyfriend doesn’t like tuna.”
The lady raised an eyebrow, saying “Hey, I am down for a snack. But you sure? I am more than chill like, getting my own.” Which Avery quickly answered.
“Please, I insist.” With that, he put the sandwich in her hand before checking his phone. Despite how long it felt like it was taking, he still had a few minutes left in his shift.
As he sat back against the wall, the lady next to him shook his shoulder. And when he looked, she said “Hey. Wanna talk about it? It’ll just be between you and me. Promise.”
Avery was a bit surprised, but realized that there wasn’t any harm in this. So letting himself relax, he tried to put his mind in order and explain what ails him.
“Just… It's the post holiday season. Everyone is coming in, broken tech in hand. It’s been busier than I have ever seen, and everything at home isn’t much better.”
There was a moment of questioning if he should explain, but eventually Avery decided to relent. “My sister had been… needing a lot of time for herself. And my boyfriend has been in a rough patch.”
This caused the lady to raise and eyebrow, as she remembered hearing something similar recently. “He’s got this new job, doing tax prep. And he hates it.”
As she realized that she did know who this is, Avery finished. “Well…. He doesn’t hate it. But it wasn’t what he thought it was. And he wants to be doing something else.”
When she got a chance, the lady said “Oh shit, you’re dating Noti! What’s it they call it? Tiny world or something?” Avery was a bit surprised, saying “Small world. But you’ve met him?”
The lady sat back, finally unwrapping the sandwich that Avery gave her. “Only once so far. Been like, super meaning to make it more. But this gal I chill with plays cards with him a lot.”
Realizing what she meant, Avery said “Ohhh. Noti’s mentioned you. Hannah, right?” Finally taking a bite, Hannah nodded and said “The one and only! And damn, this is a bangin sandwich.”
After Avery thanked her, he saw that his break was over. “Shit. Have to get back to work. Sorry to leave so soon, but it was good talking. Keep in touch?”
Hannah didn’t answer, although Avery was in such a rush that he didn’t notice. Nor did he notice when Hannah grabbed his hand and pulled him back.
“Why don’t you chill for a minute~? Especially as I can’t let a tense cutie like you break himself at some shitty job~” Before Avery could argue, Hannah went around the corner.
She was gone for only a few minutes, but when she returned she was beaming with a sultry excitement. “Looks like your buddy Jake was happy for me to keep you around~”
Avery was going to ask, but he was stopped when Hannah stood over him. “Now~ I have one question before we start. Are you attached to those clothes you wear?”
Avery looked down, confused. “Not… Not really? Except for the mask, I really don’t want to lose this.” Nodding her head, Hannah said “Now stay still~ I got a toy I think that’ll solve both our problems~”
Without giving Avery any further explanations Hannah began to search around his shoulders. It didn’t seem to make any sense, but he trusted the process.
After a few seconds, Hannah found exactly what she was looking for. A strand of hair, which she held against the hairs on his head to make sure it was his.
When she was sure, she took a small balloon out of her pocket. It was clear, and didn’t seem to have any features or details that Avery could pick up on.
Without a word, Hannah worked the strand of hair into the balloon. After it vanished within, she held the nozzle of the balloon shut and rapidly shook it.
When she stopped the shaking, Hannah presented the balloon like a zelda item. And to Avery’s amazement, the balloon was no longer clear.
Instead, the balloon now was the same coloration as Avery’s face mask. “How… How did you do that?” Which was only met by Hannah digging into her pockets.
As she pulled out a vape, Hannah answered “Not sure. Just found this online. And was happy to see it worked. Especially if it means helping a friend of a friend of a friend.”
Looking confused, Avery asked “So…. what now?” Which Hannah answered with a laugh. “Now, you sit back and relax~” She then put the vape to her mouth and took a heavy inhale.
As Avery prepared to tell her that vaping was also not something that he could do, she instead exhaled into the balloon. Which seemed like a bizarre action, until Avery’s stomach felt full.
Looking down, he saw the undeniable bump pushing out from his middle. And while it wasn’t anything insane now, there was nothing that could be causing this to him.
Putting a hand to his belly, he confirmed that this was real. With a soft squeeze, he felt some form of gas inside of his stomach. “H-Hannah!? What did you do!?”
She paused before taking a second hit of the vape, saying casually “Let you get a hit. Said you can’t smoke, so I am cutting out the middleman.”
Before she continued, Hannah took another hit of the vape. She then exhaled into the balloon once again, causing Avery’s midsection to bump out.
As she pinched close the balloon again, Hannah said in a teasingly snappy tone “And you better be happy. Cost me over 400 bucks to blow you up~”
As he tried to get her to stop, Avery was reminded that this was a THC vape. Everything started to slow down, feeling a bit like he was walking through water.
Additionally, he was feeling a bit more relaxed. His worries weren’t gone yet, but compared to before the THC hit the various problems didn’t seem as apocalyptic.
Setting himself back on the ground, Avery said “Ho… I don’t… know how this works. But like… this feels… pretty nice?” He then started giggling to himself, seemingly assuming this is the end of the show.
He began to rub his stomach, enjoying the feeling of the vapor within. Although he didn’t seem to realize that Hannah was far from done with her balloons.
She returned the vape to her mouth, taking yet another hit. But without Avery noticing, Hannah took the same lungfuls as before and kept inhaling.
When she took enough of a lungful that the vape assumed it was left idle and shut off, she returned to the balloon. Connecting her lungs for a third time, she exhaled.
The force of her exhale wasn’t the hard breeze of before. Instead, it was more like a whirlwind, blowing up the balloon to over triple its size by the time she was done.
Looking back to Avery, Hannah was pleased by the results. While focusing on the inflating, Avery’s belly bump had turned into his entire body filling out.
He was around 5 feet wide, with his arms and legs having vanished into divots that left only his hands and feet visible. His head also sat in a divot, incredibly high but happy.
As she paced around Avery, she noticed the tent in his pants. “Well~ Typically don’t get this much fun~ When they are a weed blimp, it keeps them soft~”
Taking another massive hit of the vape, Hannah came within arms reach of Avery. And as she prepared to exhale, the hand with her vape carefully danced around his member.
Exhaling into the balloon again, she also stopped blue balling him. She fully grabbed Avery’s erection, slowly stroking him as he continued to blow up.
When her lungs ran out, Hannah was hit with a realization. She technically didn’t ask Avery if she had permission to deal with his pent up lust.
As she confirmed that the balloon was far from its limits, she contemplated what to do. But eventually, Hannah just settled on telling him what he can do if he wants her to stop.
“Shoulda probably asked. But blue balls are a bitch. Especially when I want to get ya to chill out~ But if you want me to stop, just make like… unhappy noises or somethin, Anyway~”
Satisfied, Hannah continued to rub Avery’s erect member. And while enjoying the loopy sounds of him moaning, take in yet another massive lungful.
As she felt that he was getting close to busting, Hannah unleashed the 4th hit. And while he blew up so big that he grew taller than her, worked to break him past that final barrier.
As the breath stopped, Avery finally hit his apex. With a muffled moan, Hannah felt the first twitch shake his blimp body. And with a few more shivers, a small wet patch stained Avery’s pants.
Before she could get her hands messy, Hannah pulled away. She always loved this, but wasn’t keen to get Avery’s seed on her hands before she continued the shopping.
When the shivering stopped, Hannah took slow careful steps around Avery’s body. He was getting impressively round, as Hannah struggled to his features over his body.
“Damn boy~ I can what that smoke bomb Noti sees~ At least, I assume this is normal for you two~ Especially with how happy you were to be a blimp~”
Hannah playfully poked his belly, finding that he was nearly lighter than air. With just a bit more weed, he would be lighter than air and able to be walked.
Pulling a length of twine out of her pocket, she tied it around one of his hands. She then said to him “Didn’t think about this. Looks like you’re with me~”
Avery didn’t react, sitting happily in a stupor of post-nut bliss. So without any need to tease, Hannah put the vape back into her mouth and took what should be a final hit of the vape.
As before, the lungful was massive. Although if everything went to plan, Avery wouldn’t take the entire thing. Just however much was needed for lift-off.
Blowing into the balloon again, Hannah kept as intense a watch on Avery as she could. The moment he began to float, she would pull her mouth away and tie the balloon closed.
What her high mind failed to realize was the possibility of Avery being unable to get to that point. A reality that was blaring into the unaware ears of Hannah.
Ignoring the blatant signs that Avery was at capacity, Hannah continued to exhale. She was dead set on the belief that in just a few more moments, he would float.
As she approached the first half of her lungful, she watched as a panic overtook Avery. Muffled and woozy, he squeaked in shock and rapidly fluttered his hands.
If she were 100% lucid, Hannah would easily detect that this was a sign of her to stop. But she was so tunnel visioned that she took this as a sign that he hit the floating point.
Overzealous, Hannah exhaled with a force that she’d never reached before. In mere seconds, the building pressure within Avery hit an apex.
His work uniform was beyond repair, only barely able to give him some measure of decency. Although it couldn’t stop from putting his taut midsection on full display.
They also showed that Avery’s body was slowly losing opacity with every psi of pressure. Which Hannah would easily be able to notice if she paid attention.
For his part, Avery did attempt to warn Hannah what was happening. But with how this was the first time he had ever gotten high, speaking was not in the cards.
In what seemed to be a hopeful moment for Hannah, Avery did begin to rumble. It just was that he did so because he was at his absolute limit.
As she pushed more vapor into the balloon, Avery suddenly made a shocked exclamation. Then before anyone could react, his belly button popped from an innie to an outie.
That did cause Hannah to stop, although it was more out of confusion than concern. Which might have been nice, but it was too little too late.
The balloon in her hand suddenly popped, causing a small haze to form in front of Hannah. But before she could react, Avery did the same.
With a deafening
POW
Avery’s body exploded. The force of the pop nearly knocked Hannah to the floor, with her only barely managing to stay upright.
….
Shit…
When the smoke bomb finally cleared, Hannah surveyed the scene. It wasn’t much a mess, although that was more to do with how little there was around Avery when he exploded.
So the only things scattered around were bits of his clothing and pale rubbery scraps. It wasn’t that bad a mess, everything considered. But before she could actually start cleaning the wind picked up.
Like leaves in fall, the bits of what was once Avery began to flutter in the wind. Which meant even if she really wanted to, a collection was impossible.
The only thing that she could grab in time was Avery’s face mask. Pocketing it and the rest of the sandwich, Hannah considered what she should do next.
Probably take a nap, as that much THC vape was starting to get to her. But as she ignored the curious bystanders and made her way to the bus, she smiled.
If she ever saw Avery again, she knew it would be a blast. He owed her for the balloon, after all~
