Lisa sighs, another average day at the cafe. She's had her regulars come and go. She loves hearing about how their life is going and the fun stories of theirs, most of them doing with romance. Lisa daydreams about the person she might find some day. After all she's about 20 now and she's never even had a real crush! She hopes she can tell lovely stories of the love of her life when she gets older. She cleans up her area a little before taking the next customer's order. She looks outside while making the order. It sure is a beautiful day! She's heard it's meant to be nice outside for a while. It would be a wonderful time to be off work. Lisa hands the man in the front of the line his order and wishes him a good day before checking to see who's next in line. She can feel her face redden as her eyes meet the gorgeous lady waiting to have her order made in front of her. She has to look away to keep herself from freaking out. ¨Um hello! Anything that interests you here?¨ Lisa asks the lady. She curses in herself for sounding so awkward talking to the girl. ¨A medium black coffee and croissant sounds lovely!¨ Says the Lady with a smile. ¨Ok nice erm choice and what's your name?¨¨Nadine!¨¨OH cute name! I´ll call you when I get it done!¨Lisa gets the order done fairly quickly and she makes sure it's perfect. She writes Nadine's name on the cup making sure to heart the dot in the letter ¨i¨ in her name. She hands Nadine her order and right after she greatly regrets the little heart. ¨Why would I do that? I mean I barely know the girl!¨ Lisa realizes just how badly she wants to slam her head into the closest wall.The rest of the day is a giddy blur to Lisa. All she can think of is the gorgeous lady she had met. She never believed in love at first sight but Nadine had proved it is real. The only problem is for all Lisa knows Nadine could be a straight girl with a boyfriend. Ok well Nadine definitely is not straight I mean one look and you would be able to tell. ¨Oh great now i'm assuming things based on looks¨ Lisa sighs. She should probably forget Nadine altogether. What's the chance she becomes a regular or even has interest in her? As the amount of customers lowers and it gets later Lisa starts cleaning up. She preps what's needed for tomorrow, she cleans dishes, sweeps, wipes everywhere down, and so on. She finishes up her final tasks before checking for customers and closing the small cafe down.She goes home and showers before getting comfortable on her couch. She calls her parents and tells them about her day though she keeps Nadine out. She's unsure as to why she decides to. Her parents would love her either way but she just felt it would be odd to add ¨Cause I wanna forget her. She's way out of my league and I doubt I´ll see her again¨ . She falls asleep on the couch and wakes up from her alarm the next day.She does her normal morning routine and heads to work. The day is another average day until Nadine shows up again. Lisa almost squeals in happiness. ¨Maybe she might start coming here more often?¨ ¨Oh hi!¨ Nadine waves and glances at Lisa's name tag ¨Umm Lisa! Nice seeing you again! I´ll get what I got yesterday.¨¨Ok!¨ Lisa says too enthusiastically. She hands Nadine her order and Nadine goes to sit down. Nadine stays just about all day seemingly working on something. Lisa continues making customers their orders. She has her small handful of regulars come in. Most go after a small chat but Nadine and Arzoi if she remembers right are the only few who stay until around closing. As Nadine leaves she waves Lisa goodbye while walking out. Lisa can feel her heart stop momentarily. ¨ What am I getting so freaked out about?? I´ve heard first crushes hit the hardest but I've also heard they hardly last long..¨ Lisa takes a deep breath to calm her nerves. She closes up again while trying to calm down on her huge crush. She goes with her usual afternoon routine.The next few weeks just about everyday Nadine would come in usually with the same order though sometimes she would ask Lisa her favorite and get that instead. The more often she came in the closer she sat to Lisa and the more the two would often talk. It was never big talks. It was usually silly stuff like dogs or cats but Lisa greatly enjoyed the talks and looked forward to them.One day after a few weeks of Nadine coming in Lisa found a note where Nadine was sitting. ¨I wanted to tell you face to face but I got too embarrassed! Maybe we could go somewhere sometime soon?¨. Nadine's number was at the bottom of the note. Lisa almost explodes from happiness. She walks home with a goofy grin plastered on her face and the note clutched in her hand. ¨I can't believe it! She likes me back!¨ Lisa realizes just how greatly she wants to shout it to the world. The girl of her dreams likes her back.She texts Nadine as soon as she gets home and the two set up a date. Despite the lucky day being in two days Lisa rummages all throughout her closet and jewelry box in search of the perfect outfit. After finds something that she really likes she stares at it with joy imagining the day she will wear such an outfit.It's much more extravagant than just about anything she had ever worn but she made sure it is not too much. She doesn't want to look like she's been betting on this day since she's met Nadine after all. She can hardly wait for the next two days as she imagines what she might find Nadine wearing.
