250-word Valentine’s Day prompt.Familiar characters belong to Janet Evanovich. I am not profiting from this.Ramon’s POVRanger just called us to attention. He said it would take longer for us to get situated in a conference room than just having us stand so he could briefly speak to us. I share a cubicle with Steph - she and I are at the end of the line.As Ranger began, Steph let out a soft “oomph.” Ranger raised an eyebrow and I glanced over at her. She asked me if anyone was standing behind her. I checked and there’s no one there. I shook my head.Her next question was to ask if I would look behind her and tell her what’s stuck on her ass. Since Ranger was looking right at me, I replied, “Not for a million dollars.”Ranger gave a slight nod to Bobby Brown, who approached Steph. He reached behind her and pulled a foam dart off her left butt cheek. It’s a series of three hearts, increasing in size, and alternating between red and white. The small red heart says “Be,” the next white one says “My,” and the large red one says “Valentine.”Ranger grimaced and looked as if he was getting a migraine. He asked Steph if he was going to have to put up with her favorite Intergalactic Apprehension Agent all month.I gotta hand it to her - she said, “Probably.
