Work Text

Screams echo all around me。The cries of children as they desperately call for their parents, the audible anguish bouncing around the rubble. This place is void of help - police officers, paramedics and firefighters are nowhere to be seen, despite this being a place where we finally need them.I crawl forward through the glass and stones. I feel the blood drying onto my face from the heat of the fires desperately grasping onto any fuel. I don't know what exactly happened in this short amount of time, I was with my friends working on a school project in a small coffee shop. The hot chocolate being served to us was practically beginning to be devoured but when I leaned towards it to take it, it burned me. Of course, it wasn't the server's fault - her arm had been blown straight off by an impossible blast. Then chaos took over. The glass windows shattered, the walls splintering and caving at the pressure it should never withstand. I went to aid the server, despite knowing that she was bleeding out and nothing could help her - I tried to grab her and make her death more comfortable but the fire consumed her before her heart stopped. Her death would forever torment my mind, but I'm sure my forever is about to end. She doesn't deserve this, she needs to be remembered but her death will die with me.The rest of the coffee shop died too - my friends were gone before I could blink. I cried for them, but I knew they felt no pain because I felt nothing when the grenade hit us. The pain wouldn't register with my conscious state so it wouldn't have affected their quick deaths. I didn't hear them die. I didn't watch them writhe around on the floor in agony as I could do nothing but burn myself further. That led to more deaths. After the grenade, I knew I wouldn't live long - my sight faded in one eye and my movement too sluggish. But I heard the squeal and I recognised it - the woman who works at the charity shop across the road. I heard that squeal once before when her father came round and beat her to her first baby's miscarriage - the townspeople nearly killed him if it wasn't for the police. He deserved it though.I ran towards her, no thought allowed it but I did. She couldn't fall to the same fate as that waitress. I stumbled down the road, climbing over cars to reach her - she was trapped beneath her shop, it caved upon her. I tried to lift it but my burnt hand prevented me from grabbing it, I could only free half her torso. I cried so hard as I knew I couldn't save her, but she told me to save her customer, pointing a limp broken arm in the direction of the pregnant woman.I saved that woman, that's why I lie here - missing parts of myself. I pulled the woman out of the way of a blast from what my imagination assumed to be a giant robot with red eyes - I read and watch so much fiction, I'm sure I imagined it to feel heroic. I pushed her behind a car in time to save her from the blast, but my left side wasn't. Perhaps it was some form of cruel joke that my arm was ripped from my body from the shrapnel and fire. Fate wanted me to feel the pain of the coffee shop server, I felt my face burn too and my vision was painted partly red as skin tore itself from my face and body.Apparently, that wasn't enough. A body - I assume was a large metal-like body flew and fell on top of me - crushing my left leg and allowing the bone to completely snap free of my skeleton. And here I am, struggling to crawl from the body as it heaves and shakes. I don't think it's human but I can't check even if I wanted to. It's coated in an acidic liquid that I refuse to touch, I know I'm dying and I should be dead. However, I won't die melted onto the pavement so horrifically that a cleanup crew will mistake me as debris or random gore and completely overlook me."I - I saw." A distorted voice croaks and I stop, as fast as my broken figure can I turn around to the body that crushed my leg. One blue eye, I think, stares at me as a charred black arm reaches for me but we're both too weak to make contact. "You, child. . . You carry," a sharp breath of pain leaves their fractured face. "my spark. We must . . . must become one."I don't answer, this poor soul is dying and losing themselves. I need to help them, I won't let them die alone. Mindful to not touch that acidic liquid I saw burn through my crushed left leg, I lift my body with my one arm - I lift myself to sit closer to them. They make a sound of pure agony and my aching body feels it resonate, I lift that one hand and reach out for them as they do to me. To comfort both me and them, I open my mouth and cough as I attempt to use my vocal cords. I push past the pain as the sound leaves me"We . . . Won't die," a cry leaves my lips as another shot flies past us, debris flung across the street and embedding themselves within my skin. "Alone . . ."As if my declaration warmed the hearts of fate, my eyes begin to close and the pain completely leaves me. Unlike what I've read, the world doesn't go dark and it doesn't flash memories of what my fourteen years of life once was. Instead I feel relief, that even in my last moments I could be there to help others - it wasn't much, but if I was dying I'd want someone to be with me."No -" a breath-like voice whispers from beside me. "I'll sa. . . I save you." The words are barely coherent but I feel the emotion, of sacrifice and victory, of pain and hope. I can't feel much else, only this minuscule consciousness remains as my body faded away into nothingness. That's why I don't feel as my soul is ripped from my being and welded to another, it's why I don't feel my mind become expanded and my body to writhe and convulse as metal weaves into my blood, cells and tissues. And then, I die - and I'm gone. ☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎ "Today marks the two year anniversary of the one hundred and forty four lives lost in the terrorist attack in the Hanabi Region of. . ." The T.V presenter fades out into nothingness as I turn the volume all the way down."Two years." I turn around and face my friend as she stands in the doorway. I wipe a few tears from my eyes and look away from her, turning the TV off."Yeah." Mumbling my reply, I find the sofa and sit down holding my left arm in comfort."Are you not going to listen to what they have to say - they're opening the memorial today. With all the names written down. We could visit it if you'd like.""What? And have my parents turn up to mourn, see me and wonder why my name is written on the list and why I haven't gone back in three years?" I scoff, and curl further into myself. The world is cruel, I'm just lucky to see now that some people actually help - not just standing there as a young woman, no I was just a young girl, burned alive on the ground."Sora, you were unconscious for more than a year - they don't need to know the full truth, but maybe they want to see part of it." I shake my head and look up at my friend, a beautiful woman - with short blue hair, piercing blue eyes and a perfect hourglass figure that suits her pink pantsuit."I'm not the same Sora they knew. I'm older, I've somewhat grown up. And not only have I changed physically," I hold up my arm and gesture to my left side, "I've changed mentally, I'm now Sora and Megami." I sigh, defeated as I remember my new fate."Maybe you don't have to be Sora and Megami - why don't you become both : Sora Megami." I laugh at that, a genuine laugh as I think it over. I can think of what that sounds like in Japanese, sora megami or 空女神 can mean 'empty goddess', however -"Do you know what sora no megami means in Japanese?" She shakes her head and I look up with a small smile. "It means goddess of the sky."Arcee's bright blue optics sparkle as she beams, "Sora Megami, rougher translates to Sky Goddess then, right?" I hesitate but partially nod. "That's exactly what the maidens used to call Megami - the sky goddess, because she fell from the sky and protected women. Women around the world used to think she was sent by their gods to protect them - that's exactly what you are Sora. You need to embrace both sides of you and combine them as one.""That's - why didn't I know that - that's beautiful." I smile, thinking this over. Megami sounds like a truly wonderful Autobot and I feel honoured to know that she chose me to continue her legacy, her life. This could make me more than some useless bystander that died in a terrorist attack. "Teach me, please. Teach me to be just like Megami but both Sora and Megami, me and her, not just one and then the other - teach me to be Sora no Megami." I stand up, determined - no more will I do nothing and hate the fact I'm alive, I'll do something."Let me get my sisters, you need to become one of us." She grins at the idea and her form flashes in and out of existence a few times before she once again locks eyes with me. "But first I need to know exactly what happened when you were unconscious, Megami may have already helped us - but you were too busy drowning in self-pity and self-hatred that you didn't utilise it. Which is why I didn't ask before now, I think you're ready to remember."I ignore Arcees harsh words, she does this to help - I've gotten used to this in the few months I've been awake. So I tell her and her sisters when they enter the room moments later, I tell them what I remember as she helps me unlock it. ☆❤︎☆❤︎Flashback☆❤︎☆❤︎ My eyes open . I stand up, expecting to be in some sort of afterlife - honestly, I wouldn't mind any afterlife but I don't think that's where I am. It then occurs to me that I'm standing and seeing - I lost an eye and half my body in the attack, surely that would pass over to the afterlife."You're not in the afterlife, femme. You're in the state between living and dying for cybertronians." A feminine distorted voice tells me and I turn around to see - my mouth and face freeze up. What the hell? A giant robotic-like figure stands in front of me, with pieces of silver armour that makes them look somewhat feminine."I - I don't. I - Wha-?" Words fail me as I attempt to ask questions. The figure stands almost taller, my small human figure only stands up to mid-calf on this . . . Person?"You do not need to know my name. I am the Femme Prime called upon by the Autobot Megami to assist you." I open my mouth to ask what any of that means and what is going on but 'the Femme Prime' continues. "Ask no questions, I will explain and send you on your path." I hesitantly nodded and she reciprocated, leaning down onto one knee and facing down at me."That attack you experienced was no simple Earth act of violence but a coordinated Decepticon strike on the Autobots hiding within your town. I would tell you all about our kind and the Decepticons and Autobots but you will know it all when you awake, I need not explain an origin that is known by many and will be a core memory within your mind." This confuses me immensely, but I overlook it as I'm still trying to determine if I'm crazy or not or if this is some afterlife fantasy dream. "You were on the brink of death when Megami's destroyed body fell onto you. She witnessed your attempts to save those three fe-." They pause, looking like they are finding the correct word. "Earth 'women', one of which you saved and she is forever indebted to you. Megami was dying too and when you told her that you will both not die alone, she decided to call me to do an ancient ritual. One that has never been done with a human host as humans do not have much in common with us. You did, you had the same passion to save those women as Megami did. You both, even on the edge of death, want to help people even when you are completely unable to - and that is why you're alive. Look at yourself."The Femme Prime unclenches one of her hands and drops a large dagger into the dirt in front of me. The dagger is so large and so shiny that the blade casts a full length reflection of me. Like a full-body mirror.I obey the Femme Primes instructions and look at myself. I'm . . . Me but not not. I'm still wearing the ripped clothes from the attack, so I'm partially naked but I don't think this ethereal entity cares. My right side is completely the same as it was before, now scarred from the attack but still human. My left side is metallic - like I'm a cyborg. My left eye is glowing blue and looks to me like some sort of machine, there's scarring along the left part of my face dragging down my neck and around my shoulder. The scarring is my skin welded to the metal of my body - making me look like the Femme Prime in front of me but smaller and human."Megami merged your sparks and bodies. Of course, her Cybertronian form will not completely fit with you if you wish to keep the appearance of a human. That part of you both will remain in its vehicle mode, completely in your control as it is still part of you. Do not worry, you will learn to control and understand it." The Femme Prime stops, leaning backwards as if she's recollecting her words. I take this as an opportunity to ask a question, assuming that this afterlife dream may be more reality than fantasy."How am I supposed to look human if I'm half of . . . This?! I don't look human, I don't look like me." I stare back at my reflection, my eyes welling with tears. From my right eye, normal tears fall and from the left tears with more of a green-blue liquid falls."You're part cybertronian, transform it into what you want." Is the answer I receive. Confused, I look up into the Femme Prime's face to ask for more clarification but they stand up straight to look around. "The Autobots have arrived. The Autobots will help you, tell Optimus about our encounter and remember you are one of them and I will always be with you - both of you."With that, I'm pulled away. my body gradually burned as I brought back to reality, to life. The pain is excruciating, when I attempted to scream the body felt like it was tearing apart and with that my mind dissociated from my body, leaving me in nothingness. ☆❤︎☆❤︎End of Flashback☆❤︎☆❤︎ "And that's all I remember, I can't remember anything until when I awoke from the coma." I finish, looking at the three female Autobots in front of me."The Femme Prime gave you her blessing to become an Autobot - why have you not told us this before? We must tell Optimus!" Elita-One excitedly claps, her human form (also known as a Holoform, a form the cybertronians can take to resemble that of a human which has been adapted by many Cybertronian scientists to create the perfect image of a human) doing a little happy movement before disappearing before our very eyes. Elita-One's long pink hair held up in a ponytail is the last thing to zap from existence - with the electrical noise that happens when an Autobot Holoform goes offline which would have scared me before, zaps across the room like uncontrollable lightning. We stand in silence for a moment after that, Arcee reaching a hand to her face and muttering about Elita-One's inability to walk with her holoform around the base. I shake my head and get my thoughts back on track."So what does this mean?" I ask quietly, looking at the two other Autobots in the room."This means I can begin training you in combat, you will make a good warrior, especially with Megami's memories within your mind." Chromia declares, standing from her seat and reaching her ebony arms out to pull me into a hug. After a few seconds she holds me at arm-length with a scowl on her beautiful face. "But you will be taught our way - do not let Ironhide or those damned twins teach you ! You are now our sister, not their warrior." I nod, slightly fearful and she smiles brightly before throwing her braided purple hair over her shoulder. The metallic braids sway against her silver jacket as she gracefully turns out of the room, probably to go boast to Ironhide."It also means I was right, you can be Sora Megami - the Femme Prime's words confirmed that." Arcee adds once her sister is gone, folding one leg over the other in a very human way. "It also means you can stop being so depressing and finally have some fun with me, we should go on a ride." A smirk spreads across her face before stands and drags me from the room."What do you mean? We've done that before -'' I begin but she cuts me off by pointing to the motorcycle I've been desperately trying to forget exists. "No, absolutely not. I don't know how to ride, I also don't know how to be it either!" I throw my arms out in annoyance and she only rolls her eyes as her true form flies through the doorway and into the room beside me. However, despite my words the Autobot does not listen and instead completely ignores me as she continues on."Don't tell Lennox or Mearing.""What? Arcee, I can't -""No, that's the first rule of being one of my sisters. Now get on the bike, then connect with it and feel the bike be a part of you. Feel your left side connect and become one.""You say that like it's so easy.""Just get on the bike." She rolls her eyes, but I do as she says anyway but with very awkward movements as I've never done this before. As soon as I'm on, Arcee continues. "Okay, no place your hands down. We've tried this before, remember? But this time is different. You can do it this time. Close your eyes and take a breath. Feel yourself become whole, reach out in your mind and imagine yourself completely controlling its movements like another limb. It'll happen automatically as soon as you imagine it and feel it, it'll happen."I followed her instructions and instantly I connected, I felt the bike like it was another limb - I could control it. I could feel the energon like I could feel my heart, they were in sync, I could move the bike like I would my hand and I had never felt more alive."How?" I breathed out, staring into Arcee's holoform. "This has never happened before, why was it so . . . Easy? Simple?""You have finally accepted that this is your new physical form - not fully, that will take years because of mental states or whatever. You'll have to ask Ratchet. But now you're ready for rule two, I always win." With that, her holoform dissipates and she races out of the room. It takes a few tries but I get the handle of things and race after her, albeit a little slower and more cautiously. ☆❤︎☆❤︎Sixteen Months Later☆❤︎☆❤︎ "What information do you have for us, soldier?" Optimus Prime's voice resonates throughout the room, directed towards the large screen which shows a human ally of the Autobots. The woman happens to be a friend of mine I made whilst training with my sisters, she was sent on a scouting mission a few months ago."The situation in Seattle is escalating, there have been many reported missing people - no bodies have been found. I have been following the Decepticon signal identified by BumbleBee and I have spotted two humans within all of those areas, they are both unnaturally flawless. Too perfect to be human for sure, as well as the bright red eyes they both possess - I can't get too close to them, I've never seen Decepticon holoforms as advanced as this.""What if they're like that one in the brig, that can become human fully without a holoform?" A soldier asks from our side, staring at the Autobots in the room."Alisa? It's possible, she has said that there were other Decepticons like her." Arcee speaks, closing her arms and addressing the room. "But we'd need to investigate closer to find out, it'd have to be an Autobot too, we can't risk any soldiers' lives.""But the Decepticons will see our signatures - they have every Autobot's signal now after the Flamewar incident." Elita-One adds from her position by Optimus, unlike Arcee who stands beside me, Elita-One and Chromia are both in their Cybertronian forms. Both still small beside their male counterparts but still far taller than any human could be.Arcee's holoform steps forwards, turning to look at the Autobot leader. "We could send Alisa, they don't know she's reformed and now an Autobot.""No, we can't send her out to scout, she's not ready - we need more time before she's broken out of the Decepticon mindset." Chromia chimes in, nodding towards Ratchet who stands off in the corner like always. "Ratchet said that all spies that Megatron sends out have a Decepticon system within to make them always obey their leader.""Yes, I need more time, she's a danger to humans. Why don't you send Megami's new host, they don't have her signature because Megami was dead and the girl never told us what she was at that time." The aforementioned Autobot grumbles, pointing towards me. With that the others also turn towards me, which probably means I don't have much of a choice."It'd be her first mission against the Decepticons, Prime. Would that be smart?" With that the Autobots all engage in an argument except for Optimus who listens to them like an exasperated guardian."She will go. If there are any major complications I will have Sideswipe and Sunstreaker on standby, and watching from afar away from the Decepticons. Arcee, Elita-One and Chromia will remain in contact and intervene when their particular skill sets are required." The leader gives him orders, not even caring about the humans who seem to disagree with him but at this point I don't think he cares about their pathetic opinions. The soldiers respect him and he respects them and that is all that matters."I will make arrangements for Sora's arrival, any further orders, sir?" The human soldier on the screen asks, nodding once Captain Lennox gives her her mission to help me."Where will I be going?" I ask, mentally preparing myself for what's to come. But I don't think I could ever prepare myself for what was to come, or for the dramatic and extreme experiences associated with the location."A town called Forks, I'll send coordinates now."If only I knew then, but even then would I have changed anything?

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Forks is boring。I have been here for a few weeks so far, living with Hannah Bauble in a small house that blended in with the tree line. The house, itself, is isolated enough that no one would notice the strange vehicles and such, but not isolated enough to cause suspicion. But Forks is still boring. Hannah was already a good friend of mine when we met in the Autobot base, she was a British soldier hand-picked by Ironhide to join the NEST team. She's a great soldier that specialises in undercover and scouting work for the Autobots, but I'm not sure what the term is. I've never been a part of the military until the accident and I still don't understand now, after being a part of it for some time.Currently, the British soldier sits on her laptop tracking the Decepticon signals that have been popping up all over this mundane town."I've identified the definite Decepticon signal, they've mostly been in Seattle but they've recently made more appearances in these woods. But I don't know who they are." Hannah starts, beckoning me over to look at her screen. "I've also studied possible Decepticons within the town that may be hiding their signal like how Barricade has been known to do.""Is it those, what's their name? Um, Cullens?" I ask with uncertainty in the name, leaning to sit on the arm rest beside her. The Cullens or whatever they are called are very suspicious to me, their eyes are unusual but not in a 'quirky' type of way but in an unsettling way. They also have features that Autobots tend to use in their holoforms, their skin is clear and smooth and not one part of them looks flawed to the American society's standards. They also give me these strange looks whenever I go past them, especially the one seen most frequently with the chief of police's daughter. I wouldn't mind if they were the Decepticons, they're so pretentious that I want to punch them or shoot them or anything really."They are definitely possible suspects, but I've also identified a few people with red eyes. Here I'll show you." She taps a few buttons and brings up some photographs she took while out searching, the digital photographs all feature people with red eyes and perfect American features. "Red eyes, they're obviously different from Decepticons in their Cybertronian forms but maybe this is the human equivalent?""Possibly." I look up slightly as I think through the possibilities. It would make sense for the human forms to have different eyes but in the same colour, the proof of that being my left eye - now cybertronian but transformed to look human with a small (barely noticeable to the human eye) blue glow, making me have two different coloured eyes when looked at long enough. Only observant people would notice that one eye is a normal dark brown and the other the same colour with a blue hint making it look like a dark blue. But then again, in holoforms the Autobot blue eyes look the same as the Cybertronian blue, meaning their eyes look inhuman so wearing sunglasses is a must for holoforms trying to blend in. "If these are Decepticons and not holoforms this would make sense but if that's the case that is way too many Decepticons transformed as humans and we'd need to evacuate the area. But we could be wrong, I'll have to check.""I agree, perhaps we should both go downtown and have a look. The Cullens tend to go out there quite a lot." Hannah agrees, opening her mouth again to talk when we hear many voices coming from the woods out back. I get up and walk in front of Hannah, cautious that this could be a Decepticon ambush. I use my left eye to scan the area, expecting to see our enemies starting down at us. Instead I see a group of boys rushing around the wooded area near our home."Hey!" Hannah shouts, rushing out of the house and catching the attention of the boys. "What's going on?" One of the boys turns around, his eyes darting to immediately look her up and down but a look of regret flashes over his face as Hannah crosses her arms and stares down at them. Sometimes I forget how intimidating she actually is to normal civilians, Hannah stands at around 6'2 which is taller than a lot of women. She's also built like a tank, her muscles more defined than any soldier I've met at the base. She's not the American standard of beauty but she is beautiful to me, she has soft facial features which really contrasts her weightlifter body, which is quite hilarious sometimes. Usually she wears more clothes to cover up her physique for scouting missions but right now she's only wearing a black tank top, leggings and a pair of denim shorts."Bella Swan has gone missing, and the Cullens have left town." Another one of the boys tells us with an accusatory tone, insinuating he thinks the Cullens have something to do with it."Well good luck finding her, and I hope her dad is okay." I hurriedly reply, looking at the one who spoke in the eye. I stop for a moment after looking at him, a feeling of longing fills me but immediately I shake my head and pull Hannah back towards the house with a quick 'I-know' look."Y-yeah, thanks. I-" The boy stutters, but I don't listen to what he has to say as I'm racing back inside."You think she's alive?" Hannah asks immediately as I grab my jacket from the back of the door. She follows suit, throwing a black coat on."She better be alive. Grab your phone, try to track them from Bella Swan’s house - I'll drop you off."With that we both climb onto my motorbike and make our way to Bella Swans house, breaking a few speed limits as we do. When we get there I stop a little away from the house and drop Hannah off."I'll tell you when they find her and I'll message you locations of Decepticon signals, do I need to call Lennox?" She asks after removing her helmet, before I can answer she shakes her head and continues. "Actually, no. We can't do that until we can confirm that this girl has been harmed or until we can estimate a number of Deceptions in the area.""Yeah, good idea. I can comm Arcee and let her know of the situation." We both nod at each other briefly and I only ride away once I've seen her go up to the house and start talking to everyone gathered around. After a few seconds I drive off and down the road away from the house.I decide it's best not to go straight into the woods due to the searchers and everything so instead I make my way through the roads until I reach the road that goes up to the Cullens home. I have never been near the house before, mainly because I assumed it didn't exist and was just a Decepticon hang-out but this is definitely a house. Not a great looking house, at least not to me - it seems very impractical in fact. I use my Autobot eye to scan the building, finding it empty of all life. Instead I get off the bike and walk around the building, it's mostly glass so it's easy to see inside - it's quite underwhelming. This seems like a house, but it's definitely not fit for human needs. I pull my phone from my pocket and immediately text my findings to Hannah. To Hannah- Definitely no humans live here. Too empty. I'll explain later. No sign of Swan or any 'Cons. I keep hold of my phone but start to walk into the woods, following a trail of sorts - it's not really a trail but more of where the grass has been repeatedly stepped on so plants do not grow as vibrant as they once did. I follow this path for a while, scanning my surroundings - it's like even animals are afraid of this place. Suspicious, but not confirmation. Walking further I become aware of a heat signature running ahead of me, immediately I quieten my steps and try to focus on the heat signature. It stops briefly and that's when my Cybertronian eye picks up on the creature it is - a wolf of sorts. One that is the size of Ravager, and so very unnatural for a wild wolf. But this is America so wolves on steroids wouldn't be so unusual, I assume. I pause momentarily as I assess the options; continue following the tracks and possibly have to fight an animal, or follow the trail from afar to avoid a fight.Hesitantly, I decide on the latter. It would do no good to cause a commotion and alert any nearby Decepticons of my location, so I step away from the track and into the bushes to keep the distance. More cautiously than I did before, I walk along further into the woods, sidestepping branches and using the trees to push me along. I was never the stealth type but with some training from Dino and Bumblebee, I learned to quieten my movements for any situation that would require it. Being both human and part Autobot meant missions would usually require me to do that, Bumblebee also taught me that keeping my thoughts constantly whirling through my head would help me focus less on using the human part of my body so I could subconsciously rely on my . . . alien side. A concept I still hate to consider but it's who I am now.A sudden howl makes me pause and immediately I try to look around to find the wolf but, for some reason I can't focus on using my left eye. Panicked, I lift my hand and hit it into my temple in an attempt to make it work, but nothing happens."Shit." I mutter as a snarling black wolf appears in front of me, I assume it's the same one I was trying to avoid. The wolf doesn't move or pounce, and I'm not an expert in animals but it looks to be warning me off instead of preparing to attack. But I'm not taking that chance so I hold out my left hand in front of me. when the wolf growls angrily once more I refrain from making a loud squeak in fear so instead whisper out a light "Oh no." My thoughts spin on what I could possibly do, with my eye not working properly, who knows if everything else is, this could end badly. Even if I could engage, I've never been trained to fight animals, only the metal kind which I can shoot. Deciding on a quick escape I call on the motorbike part of me but it gets disrupted as a loud sob resonates through the trees and both the wolf and I turn to the sound, all actions immediately stopping. The noise sounds again and I clearly hear it this time. It's a feminine sob so I assume it's the Swan girl that's missing, it's also a sound I've heard before - on myself, a cry of hopelessness and despair. The wolf suddenly darts away from me and the direction of the noise, but I don't dwell on that. Instead I start running towards the noise - it's a bit far away but enough that I arrive before any predatory creatures could, like the wolf. There, huddled up and crying beneath a tree on the cold wet ground, is what I assume to be Bella Swan.I crouch down beside the girl and cautiously lift her hair out of her face and check her body for any injuries my human eye can find - due to the sudden inability of my alien one. She's completely unconscious but alive, she's also crying and muttering to herself as she does which explains the sob. But she's freezing, her skin is like ice when I lay my right hand on her neck so I quickly remove my jacket and hold it around her body as I lift her. The jacket doesn't cover much but I place it over her arms and chest in an attempt to not have her face any serious illness. I then lift her up, she's heavy but my left arm can hold her well, even if I can't use it to its full capabilities I know I won't drop her.As I stand up I get the sudden realisation that I won't be able to carry her and drive the motorbike, but I also don't know where I am and without the aid of my Auotobot eye, I'm lost."It's okay, Swan - I mean Bella, I'll get you back." I whisper to the unconscious girl as I take an instinctual step forward, trying to map out the surroundings from where I came from - the directions from the Swan residence, to the Cullen residence all the way to where I currently stand.Nodding my head to reassure myself, I take another step and start walking in that direction. I nearly tripped multiple times but the motivation to save this woman in my arms - motivation that I had even during that horrible accident - is enough to keep me going. She will not die and I will save her, I owe it to every one of my friends and everyone I couldn't save. And I will kill those damn Cullens if they ever step near this girl again, they left her out in the woods alone to die. Even if they're not Decepticons, they're not human. I just know it, and they're dangerous. But if they're not human, then whose side are they on?For some reason, some part of me thinks that there's more to this town than meets the eye. I will find out and I'll save everyone I can, starting with Bella Swan. ☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎ Not long after I found Bella I had already gotten partially lost. With my Cybertronian side acting up once again, I had no way of finding my way back. I contemplated calling on the other half of me, the motorbike but eventually I decided that was a terrible idea - the ground is too uneven to ride around with an unconscious young woman and I couldn't take that risk, especially seeing as I had yet to learn the terrain of this area. But I am determined, and doubt will not ruin this for me. So I keep walking in the direction I calculated would take me to the correct road."Hey!" A masculine voice shouts out towards me and I immediately clutch Bella closer to me protectively. I look towards the voice and find a man standing within the tree line wearing no shirt or any clothing suitable for this weather - only a pair of shorts and shoes. "Is that the Swan girl?" He asks as he slowly makes his way towards us, as if detecting my defensive mannerisms."Who are you?" I ask him, turning slightly away from him. The Megami part of me becomes defensive and I can feel the effect of the Energon being pumped through my very human veins. A sort of fight-or-flight response according to Ratchet and Jolt, the Energon moves from the metal veins into the organic ones so my entire body is prepared to fight. It also means that if a human or non-Cybertronian is attacking me and my blood spills, it will burn them like acid because of the Energon. Energon is basically adrenaline but the type of adrenaline that can give you Cybertronian abilities, like transforming your metal arm into a blaster for example."Sam. I'm part of the search party put together by Chief Swan." I pause for a couple of seconds and once I can mostly confirm him as not an enemy, I nod quickly and relax my posture."Yes it is, I found her alone out in the woods. By the Cullens house." The name makes my tongue burn in disgust, but I tell him anyway. Strangely, he seems to share my dislike of the family as he nods in understanding. "Have they been found? They're responsible for this after all.""They left town." Is the only answer I get and sour thoughts corrupt my mind. Of course they've left, meaning people got too suspicious. "I can take her, if you want? The house isn't too far." Sam asks as he steps closer to take the girl from my arms."No, if it isn't far then lead the way." Noticing how rude that came across, I hesitantly add, "Sorry but if she has hypothermia I don't think the best decision is to hand her to the man with no shirt." He laughs quietly but gestures his hand out to the side and starts to lead the way through the woods."I've never seen you around here, and your accent is . . . different." The calm silence of the forest is interrupted by the man before me, sighing I answer him anyway."Yes, I recently moved to work with a friend who's lived here for quite a while. To be honest this town is boring, but it seems because of Bella here, it's getting a lot more interesting." He turns momentarily to look at me, his eyes show something strange but I can't pinpoint why or what."It's fine now those lea — Cullens have left." I notice his slip-up but I don't question it, instead leaving it within my mind to report back to Hannah. For now, I'll find out all I can. He seems knowledgeable in the area and somewhat in something I'm interested in - the Cullens."What's with them anyway? Something’s not right with them." Vague, but enough to pry information from him. "Especially after tonight, Bella didn't deserve this - left alone in the middle of the woods. I thought the old one was a doctor, he seems pretty useless to me.""As much as I agree, that isn't my place to say." With that he stays quiet, leaving my mind to ponder different situations - in particular the situation where I personally tear them apart with my sisters beside me.As we reach the tree line, Sam turns towards me and tells me, "We're here." He then runs ahead towards the group surrounding the Swan house."Where is she? Bella?" I hear a man's voice, presumably her father. I quicken my steps and exit the trees and see the look of relief upon everyone's faces."I've got her, I can take her inside if you'd like?" I ask, and the man - Charlie, if I remember correctly - nods affirmatively before leading me inside the house. We enter the household and he instructs me to place her on the sofa which I do, carefully. I remove my jacket from her which immediately allows Charlie to place blankets upon his freezing daughter."She needs to see a doctor, I don't know how long she was out there for. She was unconscious and laying on the ground when I found her." I tell him and he smiles at me nodding, standing up to consult the others outside who helped search and presumably finding someone with medical assistance. Before leaving, I reach down to Bella and whisper lightly a promise, "I will help you, save you if I have to. And everyone else those monsters hurt. I promise.""We should go." A voice, Hannah I recognise, tells me and I stand up and nod. I know what that means and what she didn't have to say '-before people start asking questions'. I turn to face the soldier and she gives me a small smile before making her way out of the house. I call on the bike and have it wait for us a little ways away from the search party or anyone who'll become suspicious. After eventually escaping the 'thank yous' and whatever else all Bella's loved ones and what I assume were family members gave me, I left with Hannah back to our house. It seems that Forks might not be so boring after all, but with the Cullens fleeing from the area the worst of it might just be postponed. However, I'm still unsure of who they are and if they're really the Decepticons we've been hunting. I need to consult with the Autobots and the others, something is not right and I feel we may be dealing with something bigger than anticipated. For now, I'll hunt for information on the Cullens and hunt for any known Decepticons still in the area. They will die and this land will be saved. I will not let what happened to Hanabi, my home, happen here. Never.I made a promise once - a long while before Bella and I'll be damned if I let anyone stand in my way of that promise.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Depressed and broken。Those are the words I'd say to describe Bella Swan. After I saved her from the forest, I visited her once a week to see how she was progressing. Her father appreciated it, especially after I helped him deal with Bella. Her nightmares were similar to my own, minus all of Megami's memories, the war and aliens and dismemberment -No. There is no comparison. At least that's what I say to everyone who knows about me and asks about me when I bring up how bad Bella is. Her nightmares cause her to scream and cry and terrify her father, mine cause me to do much the same. Even when she said I could never understand what she went through, even when she said I have never and would never feel the pain she feels - I always come back and I always try to help her. She wouldn't know that I witnessed and practically died in an alien terror attack. She wouldn't know that I witnessed too many people die at a younger age than she is now. So I take her anger and let it pass through me, her heartbreak is the worst pain she's ever felt and I'll try my best to help her.The problem is, ever since I've been around Bella and her constant reminder that I don't know what she's been through, I remember my own pain. Some days my left eye can barely scan something simple like a doorway, other days it'll completely black out. I woke up unable to move my left side after it 'switched off' (as Hannah called it) during a nightmare. My grasp on the Megami side of me deteriorated quickly and I know Bella can't help it and she needs all the help she can get, but it's all her fault. No. I can't blame her, it's my own fault for not coping with my own fucking body. Even though it's not my body, not anymore. These thoughts always collide within my mind and it's driving me mad. Arcee and the others can't help because they're not here and NEST refuses to send them out to join me. All I have is a non-functioning comm link and Hannah Bauble.I sigh at my inner turmoil and place my forehead on my knees. I'm sitting on the corner sofa staring absentmindedly at whatever is happening on the TV, it could be static and I still wouldn't know. A door opens and my head immediately snaps towards the front door, where Hannah is walking in after her run. If you could call it that, it looks more like a peaceful walk with the way she looks - completely fine and unbothered."You were sat like that when I left, I thought you were going to search up on the Cullens." She asks, grabbing a water bottle and sitting down on the armrest of the sofa adjacent to me."My arm locked up and then my torso locked up so I've been stuck here for the past three hours." I mumble, using my human arm to hold my head up as I stare at her. She shakes her head in disbelief, taking a large gulp of her water."You need to stop visiting the Swan girl." Now it's my turn to shake my head, but she continues before I have a chance to defend myself. "You've gone back to how you were when you woke up. The nightmares from human you and the nightmares from Megami you are destroying all of you. This is all because that heartbroken little girl cries on you and places all her problems on you, she's making you worse. All these problems happened after she lashed out at you and yet you still keep going back.""It wasn't her fault. She's struggling. Her boyfriend broke up with her and left her in the woods, alone, probably to die. She has a right to feel the way she does." I defend, almost immediately."Yeah she does, but she could also do something about it. Get help, you got a psychologist to the house and she still refused help. She's using you as a way to detach from her problems. The problems that doesn't even matter!" Hannah raises her voice but it doesn't deter me from wanting to defend the girl in question."Hannah, it matters to her! It's real and the worst pain she's ever felt. So what if she lashed out at me and told me - told me . . . Everything she said doesn't matter because she's hurting. Maybe she's hurting as bad as I am, maybe we're feeling the same!"Hannah scoffs, placing her water bottle down before continuing her argument. "She's a teenager, her first boyfriend leaves her and she acts like he's dead - everyone deals with trauma differently and I get that, but that doesn't mean that her boy troubles are on the same level as everything you've gone through! You got blown up, she got dumped! That doesn't compare!""But she doesn't know what -""No, Sora. She knows you went through something bad. You told her you had nightmares similar to hers, you told her you've been in her position and felt that sadness and isolation and everything else and she told you that you don't fucking matter! She said you would never understand because you're nothing alike, she told you herself that she's going through something worse than you could ever imagine and proceeded to call you worthless. She's the fucking problem, she's brought that doubt back into you and she's causing you to feel exactly as you did when you found out you were the only survivor." The soldier yells, standing from her seat. I know she's not yelling at me and I know if I let her she would drag Bella into the street and tell her everything she wants to. But even still, a feeling of guilt floods through me and I refuse to comprehend her words."We can't blame her, Hannah. It's not right." I whisper, hugging my knees and going into silence. She's right and I know it but it feels wrong to discredit someone's pain."Yes we can, and if you keep getting worse I'll call Prime and NEST and I'll tell them everything." She threatens and her body language is aggressive and irritated as she starts to pace."Tell them what? They already know my panic attacks are back and affecting my cybertronian side." I bite back, cursing my left side as I attempt to stand up and act alike to her with the emotions I feel, still my cybertronian limbs refuse to cooperate."Bella Swan is a known associate of the Cullens and after what she's told you so far, she knows a secret they have - if they're Decepticons like we suspect, I'll have her arrested for crimes against humanity. If base knew now, this entire town would be evacuated and she'd be getting interrogated by NEST or federal agents." With that she exits the room and I just sit there, rethinking her words. She's completely right but I'm not risking it, I'm helping the Swan girl no matter what anyone says to deter me. But first, I really need to get in control of my own body. ☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎ Months and months flew by from that moment and it had only gotten worse. Unfortunately my weekly visits to the Swan household had to stop when I experienced a seizure a week after the conversation Hannah and I had. It was, of course, a symptom of the 'disconnection'. At least that's what Ratchet called it, because my brain disconnected itself from my cybertronian parts and the Energon dispersed unevenly through my bloodstream causing various problems. My heart stopped for a bit one time, and then another time I completely blacked out. I was sent back to NEST for recovery and even with that I called Charlie Swan to see how his daughter was doing. But now, I'm going back to Forks. After multiple therapies that helped me both physically and mentally, Ratchet and Optimus declared me safe to function again and continue with the mission. Arcee objected to me returning but once I and all the important people agreed she had no choice, but she decided to take her mothering to a new level. Now I'm connected to Arcee and her sister's comm line as well as independent communication with the trusted Autobots tasked with monitoring my safety. Which, much to their disappointment, was Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. I found immense joy in being able to send them radio messages such as loud music, sound effects and a long lecture Ratchet gave after the twins broke something of his."Hey, you!" A somewhat familiar voice shouts from somewhere behind me. I place the box of cereal I was grabbing into my shopping basket before turning to the male voice. It was one of the boys, or men I should say, that ran past the house when Bella Swan went missing."Hi?" Awkwardly I reply as he runs up towards me, I raise my eyebrows once I see what he's wearing. Which is just a tank top, a pair of shorts and some old looking trainers. Which is strange because when I arrived at the shop it was raining and quite cold."I haven't seen you around much recently. You visited the Swan girl nearly all the time and then you just left, were you okay?" I don't know how to respond, I know what I would say and I know what Megami would say but in this context I can't choose who to be. This boy knows things he shouldn't, how would he know what I did? His strange behaviour makes me suspicious to say the least."Um, how do you know that exactly?" Sora Megami - I tell myself, I am Sora Megami. Have the confidence of Megami and the softness of Sora. Do not have a panic attack, and do not attack.I take a deep breath and desperately try to slow my heart rate as the boy just stares, he looks lost for words. Which means he's most likely going to lie."Well, it's a small town and we - I mean, I - I know Charlie and he's talked about you before! How you help Bella and . . . how you, uh, you stopped but you called!- Yeah he definitely said you still called ." He lied about the last part. He spoke rushed but steadily, his voice was stable until he said the last two sentences. I can't determine whether he's a threat, the logical part of me says yes but another part is pulled towards him like I need to trust him. It's almost like a part of me thinks that he would never do anything to intentionally hurt me so I know he's not a threat, but the logical part of me pushes past that. It's probably some malfunctioning within my processor and brain, causing things to go wrong within my body and tricking me."Yeah, I got really sick and had to leave for a while - I couldn't help her with the problem I had so I called instead. So she wouldn't feel alone." I answer honestly and his eyes seem to brighten and light up with something as he stares at me, like he's admiring something and happy with it."You're so perfect." He whispers and I immediately step back from him. I'm less suspicious of him being a Decepticon but I am suspicious - this town gets stranger the more I interact with it. Or maybe it was always this way and I just got confused after spending so much time at base. Then again, my thoughts race over the facts that this is a man, and no matter how nice they seem it's better to be weary and create distance the moment you feel uncomfortable."I'm sorry but I'm leaving now." I hurriedly turn from him and make my way to the checkout. Things just got weird and extremely uncomfortable and I don't like it. I pay as fast as I can and immediately try to walk away at my highest human speed."Wait - I never got your name! I'm -" I don't listen to the last thing he says, instead I turn a corner and make my way back to the house. ☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎ A while later, when I was sitting in the living room analysing all the evidence of Decepticons and any suspicious looking people, I got a phone call. With a sigh I pick it up, preparing to completely ignore it. However, with a quick glance I notice that the number is one I recognise and so I answer it."Hello?" I quickly put it on speaker so I can also continue with my analysing, because if I don't have a report to send in to Mearing she might come down here and find the 'Cons herself."Um, is this So - uh, Sora?" An anxious feminine voice asks and I recognise it's not Charlie Swan but in fact Bella Swan, sounding more alive than every time I've experienced her to be."Yes." I pause briefly, deciding to initiate this conversation for the awkward girl. "What's up?""Um, it's Bella. And I wanted to know if you want to meet up? I want to thank you for helping me." She asks timidly, and I give a small smile at the thought of her recovering."Yeah, that sounds good. I'm glad you're doing better too." I pause momentarily. "So where do you want to meet, I can come over to yours?""Um, actually my friend Jessica is coming over again and we're going shopping. You can join us if you'd like? I'll have to ask Jessica where we're going but you can meet us there."With a glance at the papers surrounding me I carelessly pretend that they're not a priority and shrug my shoulders before replying to the Swan girl. "Yes, sounds great." She makes a small happy noise and my smile brightens exponentially, so I continue my words. "Call me when you're there and I'll meet you, it'll be nice to talk to you and not what's left of you." She's silent for a few seconds and embarrassment immediately punches me in the face. "Wait no, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean that. Well, I did but not in that way, I - I meant now that you're recovering. Yeah , and happy." I trail off and I can feel shame settling into my real and artificial bones. We have an awkward goodbye after that and she hangs up on me, I facepalm immediately after dropping the phone."Hmm, so this is why you're only friends with the twins and the Arcee triplets." Hannah laughs and I look up to see her standing in the doorway, a mug of coffee in her hand as she leans against the doorframe. "You'd think being half alien with part of your brain being a computer chip you'd be socially competent." She continues laughing even as she exits the room so I pick up the closest thing near me, a folder on previous Decepticon disguises and throw it at her. She ducks just in time and continues to cackle away into the back of the house.Childishly I stick my tongue out at her back, despite knowing it'll do nothing I still do it with a glare. Then with a huff, I collect all the important papers laying around on the floor and put them back in their respective binders. This takes a while but as I'm about done and admiring the now clean living room I get another call from Bella telling me where to meet her. After hanging up I immediately feel regret that I'm not asking to go to a safer location, the sky is becoming dark and I fear for what lurks around the town at this time. But I've already agreed and so I collect my jacket, boots and small shoulder bag and exit the house. I refuse to shout out to Hannah that I'm leaving but she probably tracks my bike anyway so I don't see much of the point. It takes longer than I expected to arrive at the little shop Bella said she was, I pull up in front and notice that the Swan girl is nowhere to be found. Thinking rationally, I decide to find a place to park my bike safely somewhere along the road and just walk to find Bella amongst the streets. The sky gradually becomes darker as the thick rain-filled clouds drown out the last of the day's sunlight. The moon shines down but doesn't reach the surface of the earth, making the streets only visible under street lamps and from store windows.By some unbelievable luck I find Bella's truck parked in a small parking lot and so I decide to leave my bike there to go join the girl. I try to get in contact with Bella but she never picks up, trying to think positively. I assume she and her friend are just busy. That optimism is short lived as a loud feminine voice breaks out from the busy sounding streets."Hey! Back off!" It's a voice I don't recognise but a voice that sounds in trouble. I locate the position of the voice to an alleyway that joins two streets, both streets desolate as if no one dares to walk past. There isn't even light emitting from the windows of the buildings, only the full light of one yellow street lamp. I take the chance to cautiously walk up to the entrance of the alleyway, peering in and confirming the possible danger. Two girls are cornered into the back of the alley by a group of five men - no six! Another one appears from behind them and grabs onto one of the women's shoulders. She screams and attempts to hit him away but it doesn't work. I try to scan the women to see if they're harmed but with my barely functioning Cybertronian eye, I can only see through the darkness and fog and not execute a full scan. As one of the men make a vulgar comment about the dress of one of the women after she asked them to leave, I step out into the small area of light and walk towards the group. I decide immediately that I need to take an aggressive but assertive approach, but also a calm and strong approach to assure the women."Oi! You!" I yell out at them, my voice harsher and deeper than you'd expect from my appearance. The sound of my voice immediately claims their attention, they turn around to face me with a variation of grins and disgusted expressions plastered on their faces. "She told you to leave them alone." I tell the group in a strong, calm voice. In the tone I've heard Chromia use to make the American soldiers listen to her commands. I stop walking and instead position myself like Ironhide taught me. My dominant left leg behind me and my body titled so that only half my body is in reach if they decide to attack."What? Jealous of the attention or something?" One of the men laughs and at that moment I hear the waves in his voice, he's no man but a boy thinking he has too much power. "I told you all women are whores.""So - Sora?" A small voice whispers out and that's when I notice that one of the women targeted is Bella Swan, stuttering my name as she tries to figure out how to pronounce it. Instantly I'm aware of the position her and her friend are in. Five men stand between me and them, one behind the two girls who could have a weapon if I attempt to imitate a fight."Bella. It's okay, we're leaving." I tell her softly, calming my voice so as to not alarm her. I take two steps forward so I remain in the position I was in, but now I'm closer. I have a small Cybertronian dagger from Arcee in my left pocket - a defensive weapon if I find myself outnumbered. All I have to do is get past these five boys and throw the dagger at the sixth, then I can get the girls and go. A plan that sounds very dangerous now that I think about it, but I have no other plan. I could fight them but I'll risk hurting the girls. I need to think."No you're not, we need to teach you girls a lesson. Girls think they're so empowered now they get to work and vote, someone needs to knock them down —" Before the pathetic bag of flesh can continue and before his fist can come into contact with me, I swing my Cybertronian arm out and hit him straight in the face. I may not be able to fully utilise the metal parts of me but they're still metal and they still hurt like a bitch when they hit you."Shut the hell up and crawl back into the hole you came from, boy." I spit at him with the presence of Megami in my mind. That was definitely not my words, Megami is becoming more prominent and if we're not careful we'll reveal ourselves to these humans. His head rocks back slightly and blood drips from his nose, I hear Bella gasp and before I can register a sharp kick hits me in the side. A breath of pain leaves me but I refuse to fall and so instead I stand up taller and bring my fists up, one going straight into the throat of another boy. He starts to cough and backs up. I can imagine how strange this looks to Bella and her friend, a small five foot three girl ready to take down six men all on her own. But I won't let that stop me."I'm not going to fight you all, so back down and do yourselves a favour." I address them all, bringing my arms down in a calming gesture. But, as predicted, the first boy I hit stands up to hit me again so I reach up and kick him square in the stomach. He falls down onto the ground with a groan of pain. With his friend fallen, the guy behind the two girls reaches up to grab Bella around the neck but before he can I grasp onto both girls wrists and pull them towards me. I regret to admit that the action may have been too fast for an average human girl, but it was all I could think to do. The guy looks up shocked as his arm grabs at nothing but air, I stare down at him with a glare as he begins to back off away from me."Pussy!" One of the other boys shouts after him as he begins to flee from the sight but I turn to him and grab his head closer to me. I bring my knee up straight into his stomach and push him down to the ground. Two of the boys I have yet to turn on also start running, but the third continues to stand there. "It was a joke, we were just being nice! It's a compliment for guys like us to do this." He does a pathetic boy laugh but before he can step towards us, Bella's friend kicks him straight in the dick, and then Bella reaches a fist and hits him in the face.I take a moment to laugh, they are clearly regurgitating the words of people around them who’s views still coexist with the 1800s. I roll my eyes at the sight of uneducated boys running away from a fight they’d never think possible, but my amusement fades as I turn to the two girls who almost fell victim to the entitlement men think they have."Are you both okay? They didn't hurt you or anything?" I ask, taking their hands and pulling them from the alley. Bella bites her lip and shakes her head, her friend audibly telling me she's alright as well."We need to call the police, Bella can you call your dad?" I ask her and she nods her head, taking her phone out of her pocket to begin calling the older Swan. As she does I once again ask her friend if she's okay."Yeah, yeah. I'm good. Um, thank you. What you did there was, like, super badass. Thank you." I smile at her, despite already forgetting her name. I'm just glad that I could save them, despite the errors I have been experiencing with my left side. At least I know now that if necessary, I can still fight and I can still stand strong without fear. Just like Megami used to.

----- CHAPTER BREAK -----

Friendship is beautiful。Ever since the attack, the only friends I've made were Autobots or soldiers who work with the Autobots. Of course, I had friends before. Not many, just a couple of great people but everything to do with them is so painful to remember. But being with Isabella is reminding me how beautiful true friendship really is.I may not know the Swan girl as much as I knew my past friends, in fact we've only considered each other friends since that night I helped her and her other friend. But it was so easy for us to become connected, to form a bond between us. We might not share a lot of interests but the ones we do are enough to connect us together, even the ones we don't agree on bring us together. It's what I like to call true friendship, where you don't have to enjoy everything together and be exactly similar to still get along as if you were connected. Obviously my friendship alone cannot help heal her fractured heart. She still has moments where she misses her ex and his family but I'm always there and I stand as support for her. She even started a new friendship with a boy who lived by the beach. I've never met him but she thinks the world of him. I appreciate him for that. Bella doesn't like to be alone too much and so we're always together at her house or out together doing whatever, but with him I can finally catch up with searching for Decepticons and I think I'm finally getting close. It's a day like today where Bella has gone over to the boys house to work on a 'secret project' that she can't wait to show me. I have no idea what this secret is but Bella gets so excited when she talks about surprising me with it when it's done. She also said I can only meet her friend, Jacob, when it's done because she thinks that if I meet him before he'll ruin this surprise. But she's also happy for when we both eventually meet, Bella has mentioned that we both have similar interests but she won't tell me what they are before this surprise. I honestly don't mind that she and this boy have a secret, she's happy! With this project and this friend she no longer has nightmares or cries to me over the phone when she has a particularly bad day, it's really helping her and I can't help but be overjoyed for my new best friend.I've found myself recently going over all my favourite times being with Bella as our friendship blossomed. I think the reason for this constant retrieval of memory is because of how attached I've become to Bella, the last people I cared about were ripped from me in a brutal way and I never took the chance while they were alive to really appreciate every moment I had with them. Now, I want to appreciate everything I have with Bella because . . . because she's the only thing reminding me of my past life. Perhaps I'm using Bella as a way to help myself get over my old friends, but maybe that's the same thing she's doing with me - either way, this friendship is real and I will let nothing take this from us. She deserves someone who will never leave her, no matter what and I want to show her that she doesn't need her ex and his family - they left her and they may be Decepticons and I need to protect her. I made a promise after all.But that's besides the point, I will cherish every moment we have together. Which my Cybertronian side really helps, as now memories are so much easier for me to keep. Thanks to Arcee's help, I can actually play them over in my mind and see them exactly as they happened. ☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎ 。。。Behind my eyes, a scene materialises. It takes a while to figure out which memory my mind has chosen but when I do, happiness bubbles within me and it takes a lot of concentration to just stay in the memory."Sora - I am so so sorry about what I said before. You always helped me and I was so horrible - I -" Bella tells me as we sit in her room, she starts to cry so I pull her close and hug her."It's okay - honestly, you were hurting and I understood." I comfort her, as she begins to sob a little. She pulls back and stares at me, wiping her eyes aggressively to stop the tears."I didn't even know you and you helped me. I never thought I would get over him. And then you - you became everything I needed and I'm sorry I said those things." The brunette grabs my hands into her own and brings them towards her. For a moment I just stare up at her, confusing emotions stir within me and I have to remind myself that she's my friend and nothing more. "You're the best thing to ever happen to me, more than," she pauses and a choked gasp escapes her and she tries to say the name through her crying. "More than Edward." She whispers the name and I can't help the beaming smile that spreads across my face as I tackle her into a hug."You're the best friend I never thought I would have. Thank you and I'm sorry I was so horrible to you, but I -""It's okay! It's fine!" I interrupt, not letting her finish, I don't want to hear what she says and I don't want to ruin this moment. "I never thought I would have a friend again - especially not a friend like you.""Again?" At her questions I pull myself from her and sit back up on her bed, I bring my arm up to wipe my tears that form at the mere thought."Um, a while ago - before I came to Forks, something horrible happened in my home town. All my friends, they," Bella takes a hold of my hand as I try to collect myself to continue. "They didn't make it and I did. I'm sorry I can't -" I turn away from her, pulling my hands away and bringing them to my face as I try to calm myself down."You don't have to tell me yet, Sora. I'll be here for you though, whenever you need me. Just like you have to me." 。。。 。。。The next memory to load within my mind features a dangerous experience that I’m sure that if Charlie Swan knew what happened I would be banned from seeing Bella. Both Bella and I are on my bike on a trail Bella found online, it’s one for ‘professionals’ only but I couldn’t miss out.Bella called me that morning and said she’d found something she thinks we’d both like that would be fun. I drove round to her place and that’s when she told me to place my bike in the back of her truck and to just wait for the surprise. We found some buckles and ties she said one of her old friends used in her truck before and we securely tightened the bike into the back, placing two of my Motorbike helmets in the front with us.At first, the group already there told us that we weren’t fit for the course and we’d just embarrass ourselves. I didn’t listen to them. For once Megami took charge and I just laughed the group off as I took my bike and the helmets from Bellas orange truck.“I’ll check the track on my own first.” I tell Bella, placing my pink and blue helmet on my head, purposefully ignoring Bellas protest. I climbed on the bike, and set off on the man-made track. To be perfectly honest, it’s fun - on missions I’ve had more fun riding with my sisters and chasing Decepticons. With each ramp I fly up in the air, not dangerously high but enough that the adrenaline makes me crave more danger. When I circle back towards Bella and the group, the group of individuals - all dressed up appropriately for this kind of stunts in contrast to Bella’s plain jacket and jeans and my skirt, leggings and hoodie. The group all smile and laugh with me, expressing their surprise and respect for me and the bike which I happily respond to. After a bit of conserving with the group I notice Bella staring absently into nothingness, muttering to herself and shaking her head.“No. I’m doing this.” She whispers aggressively, tugging the helmet onto her head and making her way towards me.“It’s fun, don’t worry but hang on really tight. Your dad would kill me if you fell off.” I joke as she climbs onto the back of the bike with me, she wraps her arms around my torso but even then I don’t feel like she’s fully safe. So I decided to transform parts of my bike to enclose Bella in for more safety. Obviously I do this discreetly so no one notices, not even Bella. The rest of the day consisted of myself and Bella enjoying ourselves doing dangerous stunts and having dangerous adventures on my bike. We even raced with some of the other bikers, who were super nice and really enjoyed talking to me about all our bikes and when we would next be back at the track.Eventually it starts to get dark and Bella decides we have to leave so her dad doesn’t get mad. With this news, I say goodbye to my new friends and let them feel important by lifting my bike into the back of Bella's truck. I didn’t have the heart to tell them that I would be fine lifting it, nor did I want the consequences of a bunch of young adults running around talking about a girl with unusual strength. On the way back to my house so Bella can drop me off we start talking about our time and how fun it was. But in no time our fun chat is cut off as we pull up towards mine and Hannah’s house, with a sigh I remove my seatbelt and turn to Bella.“I really enjoyed it. Thank you for taking me.” I thank her, really showing my gratitude with the smile I direct at her.“I’m glad. I had fun too, I never thought I would be able to.” She cuts off, creating an awkward silence as she starts to think about her inconsiderate ex. Unsure on how to reply, I lightly touch her hand in comfort which snaps her back to reality and causes her face to beam red. “Umm, er.” She mumbles, shaking her head and pulling away. “It was fun. The bike was - was, um, great. We should do it again sometime.” Her awkward response makes the tension around us weird but I brush it off as this is common for Bella Swan.“Yeah, definitely. But maybe next time you should have your own bike or we get a bike we don’t mind leaving dirty.” I laugh, referring to my now muddy bike that I’m going to obsess over tonight as I clean it spotless. “It’s going to take me forever to scrape the mud off, we should really get a dirt bike or something.” I joke and Bella nods her head in agreement, a lightbulb flickering behind her eyes as she looks up with determination.“Yeah. Great idea.” She smiles, her mind going distant as she thinks of whatever is whirling around her brain.“I’ve got to go, see you tomorrow?” I ask, opening the door to the truck so I could leave. As I do I see Hannah marching down the pathway towards us. I glance at her but grin over at Bella for her reply.“Definitely.” 。。。 。。。Another memory forms, this one with Bella curled around a cushion on her bed with tears streaming down her face. I carefully walk towards her and take a seat next to her, smoothing out her hair as I ask her what's wrong in the softest voice I can."I don't know. I don't. I was okay but then I started thinking about him and I couldn't stop crying. I love him, Sora, I really love him and he left me." I hug the girl closer to me as my mind spins on what to do, none of my past friends ever went through heartbreak and none of the Autobots seemed to have either. Instead my mind focuses on what I've always done when one of my friends were sad - make them laugh and dance with them. I stand up with this new mission to make Bella happy, I smile at her brightly."I have an idea - you have me now, and when you're sad I'll always be here to make you laugh." I smile at her, bringing her hands up towards me. "One second!" I place a kiss on the back of her hand and a small smile threatens to break through on her face. I then let go and exit the room, going downstairs into the living room where I know a CD player sits. I take the CD player and as many upbeat, happy CDs with me as I go upstairs. Luckily, Charlie isn't home so no one is here to question my inhuman strength as I wrestle with many large objects to obtain said music and its playing device. Bella looks at me strangely as I enter her room and plug in the CD player before flicking through all the CDs and picking the exact one I want. I press play and stand up to turn to Bella."Let's have fun! Dance! It'll make you happy, I promise." Bella shakes her head and uses her hands to wipe her eyes, my smile drops slightly as she speaks."I don't like music anymore. I can't listen to music, it reminds me too much of . . ." She trails off but I know what she was about to say. Despite her words, I refuse to give up. Instead I walk towards her and pull her up to stand up as the music begins to play."It's not the music you don't like, it's the memories. I understand completely, I was like that when I lost my friends. I refused to eat chocolate for six months! But my sisters helped me through it, by thinking of them and making new memories. So don't think of him. Think of me, I can guarantee I'm a better dancer than him if that's what you're worried about." I joke, in an attempt to make her smile. She just shakes her head again. I lean down and turn the music up. "Come on, Bella! Dance with me." I jump back up, beginning to spin and laugh as I dance stupidly to the music. A small giggle comes from Bella and I turn to face her as the music changes as the song starts its ending sequence. I begin to sing as I bring out my arms and move my shoulders and torso to the music completely on beat. I finish the dance by doing the same notion this time towards my body in a more abrupt way, tilting my head up and smiling at Bella as she laughs at me. The next song comes on and I reach towards Bella, bringing her in and getting her to dance with me. After a few songs we were both dancing together and jumping around in her room, laughing at each other and occasionally singing the songs. When we were both done and we turned the music off, we both collapsed onto Bellas bed tired and still laughing. "Did I change your opinion on music yet?" I ask after a few moments, turning my head to face her. She nods enthusiastically."How could you not? This has definitely made me enjoy music again." She pauses to smile. "Thank you, Sora." I pick up her hand and lace our fingers together."And thank you, Bella. You're a true friend, maybe the best I have.""I'll tell Hannah you just said that." She giggles at me and I gasp dramatically, as we both begin to joke and laugh some more at each other. 。。。 ☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎ "I have the image!" I'm broken out of my thoughts from the loud shout that comes from Hannah. I shake my head in an attempt to clear my mind before I enter the study/office she set up. There's two desks with two bright blue chairs and multiple monitors, computers, all sorts of technology and tools littered around the room."You do? Can you identify the Decepticon?" I ask excitedly, leaning over her chair to look at the screen in front of her."Well, not exactly. The part you want to look at is uh. . . This woman, here," she taps on the screen to show me a red haired woman with blood red eyes, she's surrounded by people who all seem to have red eyes. "They all have the red eyes but this woman is around every location I get a signal at." Hannah then picks up a collection of printed out photos with black marker written on them with the location and the number of each Decepticon signal. Hannah has been scouring through Ratchets tech to find unique Decepticon signals that aren't picked up by human technology, then she turns up at the site within an hour of the ping and takes photographs or she uses security camera footage."Could they all be targets or do you think they're decoys?" I ask, attempting to scan over all the photographs in front to see reoccurring figures. "Wait, this one here!" I pick up a few photographs which all show a man who also has bright red eyes. "I've seen him before." Hannah's eyes widen and she hands me to photograph, lifting it up to my gace."Scan it with your alien eye." I raise my eyebrow at her and she sighs, "I know it's not been working but make it work now, people are in danger." She turns back around to the computer and continues doing whatever she's doing."That's not how it works but I'll try." I roll my eyes at her and she lets out a huff which I obviously ignore.I lift up the photograph and close my right eye, using my left eye only to focus. I squint and try to push as much Energon from my left side up into the optic, hoping that more fuel will make it work. I don't give up, it takes a minute or two but my eye sights up with its Autobot screen."I've done it! I used it." I tell her happily, scanning the photograph. I feel my eye buzz and become more mechanical and I scan his face and and use the Cybertronian part of my brain to run it through the internet. Facial recognition uses the scan and sends it through all websites available to me and then it stops and an image pops up within my mind, as if I'm using a computer from within my brain the website appears."Riley Biers." I breathe out, Hannah immediately takes that name and writes it down. "He's a human boy who has been reported missing for a while, not long but enough to make his parents worried and report it the police and local news stations."Hannah reached over to another monitor and pulls up the missing page for the human boy. She then pulls up a photograph to put it side by side."Do you think he's like you?" She asks and I shake my head immediately."No. He can't be, he looks to be missing his blood. When I merged, my skin became green for months - well that's what the others said. The Energon changes your blood and skin when changed and that effect lasts a while. It's not been long enough and no Energon is present to be in his system, his eyes are also entirely human looking." I tap onto his eye and she zooms in."Yeah, even with your transforming you can still see the mechanical nature of it and the metal." She lets out a huff and leans back into her chair. "Shit.""You need to tell base, if Decepticons are altering innocent civilians . . ." I trail off in a sigh, slightly defeated. "What the fuck is going off here?" I copy Hannah's position by collapsing into the chair next to her, my hands over my face as my brain fails to come up with an explanation."I need to report this in, but they'll probably want evidence to make sure innocent civilians are being used and targeted." She pauses for a moment before sitting up straight with a smirk on her face. "It's a good job that I put a tracker on the redhead when I visited signal one seven today." I mimick her expression letting out a small laugh."No way, how'd you manage that?""She walked right past me when I turned up, I don't know if she noticed but we can find out." I lean over to look as she types in a command on the computer and a map pops up with a blinking red light labelled 'HB - One'. "It's still functional. We can track her."I let out a loud laugh and high five the woman across from me. Finally, progress. I reach my left arm over towards the monitor and let my pointer finger transform so I can access the computer, I quickly download the tracker data and re-transform my hand back."You follow her when she's around Forks, the woods and the beach and continue looking into the Cullens. I'll take the bigger towns and more populated areas outside of Forks and La Push, and I'll continue with the signals." I nod my head to the soldiers commands. "Remember we can't get too close, just turn up at places she's known to go to and search the area if possible. Do not get caught.""Got it." I stand up and prepare to leave to work on my plan in tracking her but Hannah stops me before I even get out the door. "When you can please look into the stories of the area, I heard from a lady that La Push has some nasty ones about the Cullens and that the Cullens aren't allowed on their lands. I don't know if it's useful but you're young and I'm not, so you can ask these things without sounding weird.""Yep, can do. Bella spends a lot of time there so I can ask her too." I hesitate, a smile forming on my face as I turn to the blonde. "Did you just call yourself old? Can I call you old now?" She picks up a stabler near her and throws it at me and I start cackling."No." She lets out a small laugh before humming and regaining an aura of annoyance. "Fuck off." She half-heartedly tells me as I leave the room, cackling like an idiot the rest of the way out. ☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎☆❤︎ After a lot of internal debating I decided to track the red eyed woman on foot, this decision came about as there has recently been a particular area that she visits frequently. That area happens to be in the woods, as I'm not a local resident who is not familiar with the area I'm unaware if it's on a hiking trail or in a popular place for people and so I decided to not take the bike in case someone saw and got suspicious. This leaves me vulnerable in case of Decepticon attack but Hannah is confident that in a time of need the Megami side of me will 'trigger' and this mental block I have will subside if necessary. I also packed a few Autobot guns into my clothes and we have found that I can still transform my arm into a sword like Sideswipe can, apparently that's to do with alien 'muscle memory' as when I was training that was my preferred method of combat.I pull out the little tracking device Hannah gave me before I left, the screen has the map of these woods with colour coded areas of where the tracker has the most activity. I follow the map until I end up in one of the areas with the most activity, I try to memorise the area before I put the device away and begins searching around for any clues. After a while of searching I end up in a little area surrounded by trees that looks as if a fight has taken place, the bark on trees are scratched and the plants are squashed and looks to have been trampled on a lot. I notice a couple of large foot prints and when I scan them nothing appears when I try to run them through known animals, except the similarities they have with wolf prints. However, according to what I can find, these prints are way too large to be wolves unless some giant wolves are running around. But the more likely reason for this is Decepticons, there are Cybertornians who take the forms of beasts as a secondary or even as a primary form such as Ravager. Chromia once mentioned that there are Cybertronians which take the forms of dinosaurs they saw when they first landed on this planet so perhaps this Decepticon took the form of a much older creature.Suddenly I'm reminded of the time I was looking for Bella in the woods, and the wolf I saw. Perhaps it could be similar, but as I think over it with a more logical perspective it seems very unlikely that I definitely saw the wolf correctly. Perhaps I overestimated the size of the wolf due to my Cyberyronian side having that 'meltdown', my sensors may have been affected that day which distorted what I saw with my left eye. It would also make a lot more sense for these footprints to be of Decepticon origin than some unrealistic beast. With a sigh, I step back and observe the area. There’s nothing to suggest a full sized Decepticon has been here but then again we could be looking at human sized Decepticons. I bring the tracker up again and identify a spot more to my left with a definitive signal, like a Decepticon signal is there now. Cautiously, I place the tracker away and walk towards it, it’s a small overgrown clearing with some plants and flowers stepped on. A small shine of light reflects from my left eye and I look towards the direction, on the ground amongst the flowers and plants is a small piece of metal. I crouch down beside the piece and pick it up, there are no traces of Energon but the piece still works. I brush my fingers along the piece and send a comm to Arcee about my find, the metal itself is small but it still covers my whole hand. It’s also complex and with the weight of it, I’m sure it’s more than a broken off piece of Decepticon. I take the piece of metal and shove it into my jacket, still low to the ground as I ponder the possibilities.Deciding to message Hannah on my find, I reach into my pocket for my phone but in that small moment a hard shove catches my shoulders and I fly off into a tree. My back collides with the trees with so much speed that it’s like being hit by a car, I fall onto the grass on my front and let out a groan.i reach my arm in front of me as a pained gasp leaves me as the metal piece in my jacket collides with my chest. Using my elbows, I try to get back up so I can prepare to fight but I don’t get that chance as a woman speeds in front of me. A red-haired, red-eyed woman smiles down at me with a hand holding my hair as she kneels before me. Then I recognise her, the woman from Hannah’s photos. With my left arm under me and out of her eyesight I focus all I have on transforming my left arm into a blade like I’ve seen Sideswipe do before. But with all my efforts nothing happens, all I can do is form a tight fist in my left arm and hope it’ll do the job.“Well, aren’t you cute?” The woman chuckles, her lips parting and eyes glaring as she brings herself closer to me. I prepare to use my left arm to hit her as I struggle to get up under the tight grip she has on my hair but just as I’m about to shove the woman like she did to me a deep growl interrupts both of us.The woman’s head snaps to look behind her and I lift my eyes to stare up. Three large wolves stand in a semicircle opposite us, all three snarling and growling in our direction. The wolf in the middle however, looks like the same wolf I saw when I saved Bella. Maybe I wasn't imagining things after all.To my surprise, the woman stands up at an inhuman speed and growls back at the wolves. At this opportunity, I lift myself off of the ground and push myself back into the trees. There’s no way I can take on all of them - I have no idea what to do.
