Tapping into the “other side” isn't hard, so Hanamura has developed a habit of watching himself when he's bored.Similarly, finding Hanamura isn't hard, so Narukami has gotten into the habit of seeking him out when he's bored. They're bored often. They're together often.Which is why Hanamura is sitting on a sofa, legs crossed at the knee, fingers combing through Narukami’s hair as he rests on his lap. Out there, they're having lunch on Yasogami High’s rooftop together. Out there, he's gushing about how amazing partner’s gyoza is.In here…“Hana-chan,” Narukami prompts. He shifts so that he can look up at the other Shadow rather than their television. On it, Yosuke is licking soy sauce from the corner of his mouth. “What do you think will happen when they finally accept us?”Hanamura raises an eyebrow, but doesn't look down. His voice takes on a slightly sour note.“Finally? You make it sound inevitable.”In response, Narukami reaches up and, with just his fingertips, softly caresses Hanamura’s cheek. Hanamura’s golden gaze shifts downward then, and he meets Narukami’s eyes.“It is. Other me is going to confess soon,” Narukami admits. His feather-light touch strays lower, becoming weightier as he cups the nape of Hanamura’s neck. “I want you too much not to.”Narukami’s touch feels good; warm; possessive. Hanamura smirks. “Yeah?”“Mhm. And when I kiss you for the first time, just like this–”Narukami leans up and pulls Hanamura down simultaneously, making a middle for them to meet in, and touches their lips together sweetly once. But once isn't enough for Hanamura.Twice isn't enough either.Hanamura greedily aims for a third kiss that Narukami allows and lets him deepen. He giggles and licks his lips after they part.“See? You're going to act just like that.”Hanamura sits back up with an amused snort and Narukami follows, changing positions so that he can straddle Hanamura’s lap.“Yeah, you're probably right,” he says, spreading his arms across the back of the sofa. He grins up at Narukami suggestively. “Since other me has been thinking about kissing you for the last twenty minutes.”Narukami playfully twirls a lock of Hanamura’s hair around his finger; his answering smile is equally suggestive as he says, “I'm always right.”Except… he's not.Two months go by with Yu and Yosuke becoming closer and closer still, surrounding and grounding themselves with each other. Three months go by with no lines crossed, no barriers broken, and no confessions spoken. In Hanamura and Narukami, the lack of action builds the magnetism between them, layer by layer, until no matter how often they touch, and no matter how tightly they embrace, it isn't fulfilling. And it's when he has Narukami pinned and squirming beneath him, yet the chasm of yearning only yawns wider, that Hanamura finally decides – something has to give.Now.*Something’s wrong.Yosuke senses it the instant he and Yu reach the backlot floor. The fog around them as he stands up, usually calm and inert, feels heavy and charged, dense with energy. It's still visible despite his glasses, swirling and smoke-like, and imparts an eeriness that raises the fine hairs at the nape of his neck.Yosuke takes his frames off, scrubs the lenses with the fabric of his shirt, and puts them back on – just to double-check. His vision, partly cloudy, remains the same.“Hey, Yu, you see this too, right?” he says, voice dropping naturally out of caution. Yosuke stares at his hand, watching the whitish fog curl warmly and thicken around his fingers. It’s mesmerizing. It feels alive. And Yosuke loses track of himself in it.Only Yu’s affirmative response, nearby but distracted and slow, reminds him that he asked a question. In fact, he’s starting to feel a little fuzzy about why they’re here to begin with. There's a reason, surely, but it waltzes out of reach when he grasps for it, annoyingly tickling the outskirts of his mind.Something’s definitely wrong. As carefully as he can muster, Yosuke turns. Left. Right. A full circle. Yu's voice was so close only moments ago, yet Yosuke can't see him anywhere.
Wait.
Yosuke glances up and down; he can't see anything anywhere. He’s alone in this rippling, translucent fog, and the realization kickstarts his pulse sharply. With a spark of urgency, he pats down his pockets, searching for the expected weight of his kunai. They're gone too.“Shit,” he mutters. Needlessly patting harder, he gives himself another once over and… nope, still gone. Un-freaking-believable. “Shit. Okay. Okay. Don't freak out.”Yosuke says it to himself under his breath like a general issuing commands, steely and resolute, but the surrounding fog is thick enough now that his outstretched hand disappears into it. Instantly unnerved by it, his execution of calm falters; he yanks his arm back to his chest, heartbeat thumping louder in his ears.Any other time, he'd laugh off his own jittery wariness, defusing himself with a cracked joke and a twirl of his kunai. Yet without his weapons or a target for his humor, Yosuke may as well be naked; his surroundings feel infinitely more dangerous because of it. The awareness of his vulnerability sits at the forefront of his mind, adding to the tension he's beginning to feel in his limbs; behind his eyes.Unwilling to take more than a few small steps in any given direction, Yosuke tries to gulp away the tightness in his throat and calls out again. When he doesn't get a response, he grumbles loudly,“Come on, dude, don't go all radio silent on me now! Where are you?”This time, hardly a beat passes before a warm hand glides over his wrist and twines with his own.“Right here,” Yu says, so close that Yosuke can feel his breath ghost across his ear.Though an undignified screech practically bursts out of Yosuke's throat, sending his heart rate back through the roof, the relief of Yu returning to his side is tangible and swiftly blunts the edges of his anxiety. That whoosh of warmth will be what Yosuke blames later on, when he thinks of this moment and wonders why his defenses were so low – because it takes him several sentences too long to notice that something’s off with Yu (still smiling gently at him, still holding his hand, hanging onto his every word) too.Because how could he have overlooked, for even a second, those bright, otherworldly golden eyes watching him appraisingly?Recognition and shock and terror – p-partner has a Shadow!? – collide catastrophically, leaving Yosuke simultaneously fumbling his words – what? why? when? when? when? – and ripping himself away from Yu's Shadow.Yu's Shadow. But the Shadow's grip on him is absolute, charged and thrumming with a knee-weakening, toe-tingling energy that keeps Yosuke right where he is.“Don't,” he says with a pout. The jarring echo Yosuke remembers from his own Shadow’s voice is strangely absent; there's just Yu's familiar, soothing, mild-mannered timbre. “Please don't fight it. I won't hurt you.”Seeing such an openly dismayed expression on its – Yu's – face throws Yosuke for a loop, and his stomach flips like he's managed to disappoint the real Yu. Even with obviously yellow eyes staring back at him, his brain, slowing down to half-speed, doesn't want to tell the difference. “Huh?”“I won't hurt you,” Yu's Shadow repeats. As a show of good faith, he brings Yosuke's hand to his lips and presses an energy-laden kiss to the back of it, all while unblinkingly holding his gaze with wide eyes. There isn't a trace of malice. “See?”It's a critical hit.“Um, uh,” Yosuke stammers, frozen in place despite the heat of an oncoming blush prickling his cheeks. He's just as charmed by the gesture as he would be in the real world – not that he's been imagining anything remotely sappy like that happening, mind you – and the way his heart has jumped into his throat to block his words is patently unfair. But the way that simple kiss hits the snooze button on his sense of alarm is worse.Pulled forward by him next, with no preamble, Yosuke stumbles hard into the chest of Yu's Shadow. Warning bells clang in the background of Yosuke's mind as one of the Shadow’s arms wrap firmly around his waist; he's shaking, swooning into the embrace. Horns blare as the Shadow tips Yosuke's chin up, up, into the prime position for a kiss; he's panting, parting his lips for it on command. Sirens wail as their mouths connect, as their tongues touch delicately, and Yosuke's entire being lights up with arousal, sparkling like a live wire.
The noise he hears himself make, echoing and mortifying and undeniably sexual, brings the cavalry of logic and reason rushing forth, and provides the impetus for him to recoil sharply.“Whoa, whoa, whoa!”Yosuke wriggles, struggling against the hold Yu’s Shadow has on him, and gets another kiss, another dose of high-voltage pleasure, in return. It makes the effort of pushing away that much harder – Yosuke feels good, enveloped like this – but he manages to squeak out, “H-hold on a minute, damn it!”And he's relieved, yet surprised, when just asking works; Yu’s Shadow complies and pulls away, albeit reluctantly, and leaves Yosuke's skin abuzz in his wake. Strangely, the denseness of the ambient fog recedes too – somewhat.“What’s wrong? You don't like it?” Yu's Shadow asks. Sporting a renewed pout and drooping shoulders, he sounds distressingly, genuinely, dejected. “You don't like me?”“Huh, what? Of course I do!”Yosuke's reply flies out of his mouth at Mach speed, bypassing the filter of his mind, and wait, shit, that's not– that's not what–but Yu's Shadow is already perky again because of the flub, back to gazing at him with sincere, stomach-fluttering affection, and–
Jeez, nevermind.
Sighing through his nose, Yosuke crosses his arms over his chest protectively. It's the best he can do without his kunai. It also (helpfully, importantly) calms the butterflies in his belly. “Look, just… tell me where Partner is, okay?”He says it fully expecting a mind trick, or a play on his words in response like most Shadows he's encountered, but of course Yu's Shadow is different.Special.Hard to predict. So when Yu's Shadow tilts his head slightly, with an innocent expression that could very well be the definition of confusion, and says,“With you, Hana-chan. Where else would I be?”the follow-up question Yosuke had prepared evaporates in his mouth, alongside every bit of saliva.“Me?” he croaks, tightening his arms around himself. It can't be. It can't be.Yu's Shadow points behind him, clearly indicating what he should do next – turn around – but Yosuke doesn't want to. He knows now; he knows exactly what he's going to see, what's waiting for him, and frustration swells in his chest. It's not fair, he's already dealt with this, he's–Too slow.Taken by the shoulders and forcibly spun around, any choice Yosuke thought he had in the matter is neatly plucked out of his grasp by Yu's Shadow. He's even robbed of the luxury of an averted gaze, as the Shadow’s electrifying touch makes sure his eyes are wide open. Now there's nothing between him and his Shadow and drowning in the humiliation of seeing–Yosuke stares, agape. Dumbstruck. There he is, yellow-eyed and smirking – and that's expected, relieving in the predictability of it. And there Yu is, the real one – also expected, and also relieving, albeit for entirely different reasons. What has Yosuke hamstrung, bound between intrigue and discomfort, is the visual of them together. Of his Shadow, perched sensually on Yu's lap, arms thrown about his neck, brazenly snuggled cheek-to-cheek. The sofa seating them – plush, elongated, and vibrantly red – smacks of familiarity. Yosuke knows he's seen it before, and it takes less than a second to puzzle it out. The scene, right down to Yu's unbuttoned shirt, is from a memory.Only… altered. He wasn't the one on Yu’s lap back then; Yukiko was. It was Yukiko blushingly draped across Yu's lap, doing double duty on Yosuke's composure and thoroughly confusing him – he suddenly didn't know which side of that equation he wanted to be on more. It had only been for a moment, but he had never been so equally jealous and desirous of two people before.Thinking about the occasion later was a mistake; it brought an onslaught of feelings so complex, Yosuke did what came naturally – he slammed the lid on that can of worms before any could wriggle away.Yosuke groans inwardly; suffice to say, he might have slammed it down too hard. But that doesn't explain the (inescapable, distracting) presence of Yu’s Shadow behind him, caressing him aimlessly (pleasantly), raising gooseflesh across the back of his neck, and over the shell of his ear, and down the side of his throat. His newfound understanding still sheds no light on–“Why?”The question, when it finally comes, barely dislodges from Yosuke's sandpaper tongue. It's a cracked, dry whisper that he swallows several times after, and who it's for is anybody’s guess; although, in hindsight, he should've known who would speak up first.“Figures I'd be too dense to take the hint,” Yosuke's Shadow sneers. Adding an eyeroll, he glides his fingers down Yu’s exposed chest, briefly pauses at his sternum to splay them flat, then drags them back up again; Yosuke's palms tingle like he's the one doing the touching. “Why do you think, dipshit?”“Not you,” Yosuke bites back, a stab of irritation helping him momentarily rediscover his voice. Then, milder, and with a fixed look, he says, “Partner.”Immediately, Yu's gaze snaps over to Yosuke. He had been looking past him until now, staring at his golden-eyed carbon copy with a flat, unreadable expression. With his attention on Yosuke, though, his poker face fractures. Embarrassment begins leaking through in stunning clarity, visible to Yosuke for the first time ever. In the form of a fierce blush that blossoms over Yu’s cheeks and climbs up to the tips of his ears; in his posture, stiff despite a lapful of Shadow; in his fists, clenching and unclenching where they rest against the back of the couch; and his throat, bobbing as he swallows repeatedly.“I– Yosuke–”Yu starts, then stops. He starts, then stops again. Yosuke's never seen his partner struggle for words, never heard him call his name with such a soft, pleading tone of voice. Between that and Yu's Shadow still touching him, teasingly brushing over the skin his headphones and collar leaves exposed, he's a little speechless too.Yet the silence hanging over the backlot prevails for a split second at best. Yosuke's Shadow interrupts it, oozing impatience as he leans away from Yu to stare at him disdainfully.“Oh, come on.” Nimbly hopping off of Yu's lap, he shoots the same disdainful glance over to Yu's Shadow next. “Looks like your half is about as dumb as mine is, Narukami.”“Don't be mean, Hana-chan,” Narukami chides gently, finally withdrawing his electrifying touch from Yosuke's shoulders. It lingers.“Whatever,” Hanamura says dismissively. Then, as if flicking a switch, the yellow of his eyes brightens to a glow and his grin widens. “Anyway, time for plan B.”
Plan B?
Before the words can fully sink in for Yosuke, Hanamura stalks over to him, grabs a fistful of his shirt, and tosses him effortlessly toward the couch and Yu.“Whoa, what the hell!?” Yosuke yells, grunting as his back collides with it soundly. He's promptly sucked into the cushions like a magnet, and when he tries to defiantly hop back up – he's getting pretty tired of being manhandled, okay? – Yosuke finds that he can't. He can turn his head, and he can freely move his fingers and toes, but everything else?Immobilized. And either Hanamura’s aim is immaculate or the sofa is magnetic on multiple fronts – because there's no way Yosuke should be right beside Yu, molded to his side from waist to hip. But he is, and Yosuke can see now that Yu's movements are just as limited as his own; no wonder his Shadow was able to freely paw all over him.(He isn't jealous.)“Yosuke! Are you okay?” Yu blurts. He cranes his neck to look him over for injuries, and that honest concern uncorks a well-known warmth inside of Yosuke. It's the same writhing, heartbeat-skipping feeling he gets when Yu helps him up after a battle, or flashes him a too-rare toothy smile, or leans in close to listen to him speak.“Yeah, I'm–”Yosuke pauses. He hesitates to say ‘okay,’ and he can't honestly say ‘fine,’ because he's not – not really. He's out here in the raw, tingly and pumped up on adrenaline, and the warm feeling has spread down there too, making him miserably half-hard. So he settles for, “Not hurt.”“Good, me neither,” Yu agrees, although the smile he gives Yosuke is a shadow of itself, dimmed by shame, and short-lived. He avoids meeting Yosuke's eyes as he continues, “I'm sorry, this is all my fault, I–”“Aht aht, you just had your chance,” Hanamura cuts in, briefly squatting in front of Yosuke and Yu to taunt them with a smirk at eye level. Once he's upright again, Narukami moves in close and embraces him from behind. “We're talking now and, gotta say, we're pretty sick of watching you two tip-toe around this shit.”Hanamura circles a finger in the air, gesturing to everything around them; Yosuke scoffs at him. “What? We're not tip-toeing around anything. Right, partner?”Yosuke's so used to telling it – no, he doesn't want, of course not – that the lie rolls off his tongue readily, no forethought required. He turns his head, looking to Yu for confirmation. It doesn't come.Yu isn't listening. He's stuck staring forward, enraptured, watching Narukami press his tongue flat to Hanamura’s neck. Narukami licks upward to his earlobe, slowly and unabashedly, all while tucking his hands in Hanamura’s front pockets. It paints a picture of possession – of being possessed – and now Yosuke's stuck too, glancing between them with his stomach flip-flopping like it can't figure out whether it should jump to his throat or drop to his feet. Moreover, Yu's eyes are locked with his Shadow’s in a way that has Yosuke feeling like he's witnessing a silent conversation. Yu's lips quiver, parting as though he plans to speak, but he only pokes the tip of his tongue out to wet them. Then, sharply, he exhales and shakes his head.“Stop it,” he says, as firmly as he can muster. He can't hide his breathlessness. Neither can Yosuke. “I don't–”“Yes you do,” Narukami says, smiling back at Yu mischievously. His gaze shifts to pin Yosuke next. There's so much heat there that it's tangible, whooshing by like a desert breeze, and it instantly makes Yosuke's cock harder. “We do.”“That's right, we do,” Hanamura adds slyly, sliding his hands into his pockets over Narukami’s. “But you won't admit it.”Hanamura tilts his head to one side, offering his neck for Narukami to lick again, and Yosuke squirms against his invisible bonds; he's certain he felt a hint of wetness this time. “So consider this a little favor. From me to me.”Hanamura winks.Yosuke gulps. He needs to look away – from Narukami’s lusty, piercing stare; from his own Shadow, who just won't stop grinning – but there's nowhere for his eyes to rest. It's not safe to close them for long and looking over at Yu, catching glimpses of his reddened cheeks and bare abdomen, isn't a way out either.Like a rat in a maze, Yosuke keeps hitting dead ends.Helplessly, he watches as Hanamura angles his head back to meet Narukami for a kiss – if it could be called that. They lap playfully at each other's lips; they slide their tongues together; and they take turns sucking the other's outstretched tongue, but their mouths never truly meet. Helplessly, Yosuke trembles through pulses of pleasure, faint but frequent; a second heartbeat.Next to him, Yu makes a noise suspiciously close to a whimper. Yosuke can't bring himself to look over (away) now, but he feels Yu quivering too and knows, without a doubt, that his partner is channeling the same erotic, enchanted energy.Deep down, Yosuke knows he should be resisting harder, too. If only just to save face, he should be doing more somehow to break up the progressively racy display in front of him… shouldn't he?He should. He should. But the part of him that is interested is very much so. How many times has he imagined his tongue in Yu's mouth? Imagined Yu's hands on his chest? Yu's palms sliding down his torso? Yu's fingers tugging his belt buckle loose?Yosuke gasps through a stronger wave of desire, one that leaves him throbbing, wanting to squeeze and rub his thighs together to ease the pressure. Damningly, it's all from the sight of his Shadow reveling in the undivided attention of Yu's Shadow – accepting his kisses with loud moans; greedily groping him back; placing a steadying hand on his shoulder while Narukami eagerly sinks to his knees. The passing notion that Yu's Shadow looks fantastic kneeling there takes Yosuke by surprise. He realizes then that he's been distracted for who knows how long, swimming in the pleasure-by-proxy drummed up by the antics of his Shadow – who, on cue, gleefully gives all his thoughts away.“Hey now, don't look so surprised,” Hanamura leers. “You've been dreaming about our dear partner over there sucking you off for weeks. And guess what?”Hanamura’s eyes land on Yu next and, this time, Yosuke's astonished gaze follows.“Wait,” Yu pleads. He's already hitting his limit – with every breath, lust has been trying to claw its way out of him; bitten raw from desire and nervousness both, his lips are stinging and wet; and there's no way to hide the growing stain of precome as his cock aches, and aches, and aches between his legs – so if some kind of truth is going to be told anyway, Yu wants to say it himself.Yet undeterred, Hanamura finishes wickedly, “He wants to. He even wants us to fuck his face.” He looks down as Narukami looks up from undoing his zipper and smoothes silvery bangs away from his face. “Don't you?”Yu catches the unusually tender gesture between their Shadows from the corner of his eye, but Yosuke misses it entirely – because now that there's a brand-new lens to see Yu through, how could he be looking at anything other than his partner? Yosuke never let himself consider before that Yu could like boys. That Yu could like him. That Yu could want him. They were all thoughts settled on a slope Yosuke deemed too slippery to approach so, naturally, it's his awful, amazing luck to crash into Yu while skidding full-speed to the bottom of it.“You like me,” Yosuke breathes. His words come out just shy of being a question, but not quite a statement either.“Maybe more than I should,” Yu replies softly, worrying his lower lip all over again, and for the very first time, Yosuke notices the minute shift in Yu’s attention from his eyes to his mouth. Longing fills his partner’s expression, albeit fleetingly, and Yosuke has no clue why he didn't see it before.A fresh ripple of euphoria flows through him, unrelated to the arousal already crackling underneath his skin, and it feels like triumph. Like winning. Yosuke's pretty sure he's wearing the dopiest grin possible as he says, “Me too. I mean, I like you too, partner.”But though the exchange feels like puzzle pieces falling into place, nothing around them changes. Their Shadows don't flicker or fade; the magic that restrains them eases none; and, most of all, the tension in the backlot remains suffocating. Humid. Clinging to their skin. Inescapable. And equally inescapable, Yosuke finds, is the special brand of mockery his Shadow keeps dishing out.“That's all you've got? Pathetic,” Hanamura tuts, drawing the limelight back to himself and Narukami, who's still kneeling, but now petting Hanamura’s stiff cock through the unzipped front of his pants.“What's that – hngh – what's that supposed to mean?” Yosuke grumbles.Or, at least, that was the intention.Instead, a parallel spike of heat in Yosuke's groin as he speaks pulls the sting out of his response and, unable to stifle his groan fast enough, his annoyance fails to shine through. Which only makes it worse that his Shadow’s answering tone is insufferably self-satisfied and perfectly controlled, even with Yu’s Shadow slowly stroking his length.“Means your little confession didn't cut it.” Hanamura then widens his stance, balancing with one hand on his hip. The other combs through Narukami’s hair possessively. “And it means I get to get my dick sucked while you watch.”Yosuke's bewildered outburst – are you kidding me!? – overlaps Yu's panicked one – that doesn't make sense! – and draws a naughty chuckle from Yu's Shadow.(The sound makes Yosuke shiver in a really good way. He isn't sure what that says about him.)“Sorry,” Narukami apologizes, first leaning back onto his hands and then continuing until his head is so far back that his thick bangs fall away from his forehead. Contrary to his words, though, there's nothing remorseful about the upside-down look he's giving them. It's predatory and cocky, twisting Yu’s features unnervingly. “But we both know you're still lying.”“I'm not–” Yu protests reflexively, only to snap his mouth shut mid-sentence when Yosuke looks at him and shakes his head.“Partner… there's only one way with Shadows, remember?”After a beat of silence, with fresh sweat prickling across his brow, Yu says, “You're right.” He thumps his head against the back of the sofa. His deep exhale, coupled with closed eyes, exudes defeat. “I… I like you, Yosuke.”“Oh, it's much more than like,” Narukami follows up, sighing dreamily. With his fingers hooked in Hanamura’s waistband, he's dangerously close to exposing his cock; Narukami pushes his face into his crotch to nuzzle there. “So much more.”“Yeah? Show me,” Hanamura replies smugly, as though Narukami’s words were for him alone, and Yosuke groans again as his lower body twitches excitedly. The sensations shared with his Shadow are getting stronger; synchronizing; and becoming increasingly difficult to think around. What started off as a mere whisper of feeling has snowballed into something else entirely – a touch without being touched, warm and consistent from the base of his cock to the head of it, where Narukami happily presses his nose, lips, and cheeks – and Yosuke can no longer tell if the eager thrill he's feeling is entirely his own.Narukami tugs on Hanamura’s waistband, revealing the ruddy tip of his cock, before stopping to hum thoughtfully. “But wait, Hana-chan, shouldn't you ask me nicely?”“Ugh, fine,” Hanamura huffs, rolling his eyes. “Partner,” he then whines in mock distress, and Yu jolts to attention in response, as if possessed. Smoothly, Hanamura turns his pout to him instead of Narukami. “Won't you pretty please suck my dick?”Yu definitely whimpers this time. There's no mistaking it.It's a sound overflowing with needy frustration and – as far as Yosuke's cock is concerned – utterly compelling in its eroticism. He nearly gives himself whiplash looking back at Yu but it's worth it, albeit in a perverse way that makes Yosuke wonder again about these blended sensations…Because Yu's hair is damply plastered to his forehead; he's digging his teeth into his pink, pink lips again; sweat’s glistening at the hollow of his throat and dripping down to his navel; he's trembling like a brittle leaf; and all Yosuke wants is to hear him make that sound again. No, wait, that's not quite right. All Yosuke wants is to be the reason Yu makes that sound again, and the subsequent realization of just how much he craves his partner is staggering. He stares at Yu, mouth ajar, processing the epiphany like a particularly slow computer – while his Shadow happily goads further, in a voice saccharine and suggestive both,“Pretty, pretty please? With a cherry on top?”and drives another nail into Yu's already-splintered composure. Yu shudders; his eyes glaze over behind his glasses; he stops biting his lips to lick them instead; and he says, he moans, “Oh god, yes.”It's like dropping a bomb.Hanamura cackles delightedly;Narukami croons, “Now see, that wasn't so hard, was it?”;and Yosuke finds all of his existing thoughts fiercely overwritten with a single directive: touch Yu. Every fiber of his being calls for him to act – to crawl on top of Yu; get hands into his hair; and kiss him, over and over, until the fire he feels peters out.Or reduces them both to cinders.Yosuke launches himself at Yu mindlessly, violently, ripping through his unseen bindings to land solidly in Yu's lap. The collision knocks the wind out of both of them, he bangs their noses together, and he knocks their glasses askew, but Yosuke's end goal – his lips on Yu’s lips – is met and then some. There's no hesitation in Yu's response to him, only permission, in the way he clumsily, eagerly, pushes their tongues together; lets Yosuke haphazardly lick inside his mouth and trace the edges of his teeth; lets him suck on his lower lip and bite too hard. He lets Yosuke devour him, his rasping breaths, and every shuddering sound he makes. It's a far cry from the romantic, tender first kiss either of them imagined.“Damn! I'm almost impressed,” Hanamura says, wolf-whistling loudly. The jeer prompts Yosuke to break away from Yu gasping, but Yu pulls him back – or maybe he surges forward, Yosuke can't be sure – before the gap between them can grow. Yu smashes their mouths together again, cupping his cheeks with both hands for leverage, and reclaims Yosuke's attention as his alone.Narukami’s laughter, his ‘see, I told you so,’ to Hanamura, becomes nothing more than background static in the wake of the brand new, honey-sweet pleasure that's sliding down the back of Yosuke's throat, settling warm in Yu’s belly, and spreading addictively between them. It drives Yosuke to grab Yu's collar (closer), roll his hips and grind (closer), and–
–hrk!?
Yosuke loses the little air he hadn't given up to Yu in a whoosh as the support of the sofa underneath them abruptly gives way. He thuds to the floor, landing in an unflattering heap on top of Yu and knocking noses with him – again. Rolling off to Yu's side, he clutches his face and complains, “Ow, what the–”“Yosuke, look,” Yu interrupts, pointing in the direction of their Shadows with one hand and rubbing the bridge of his nose with the other.“Hm?” Yosuke sits up hurriedly to look over as instructed and is met with another familiar, yet altered sight – his and Yu's Shadows, standing side by side and surrounded by the glitchy, pale yellow aura of acceptance. Both wear a blank, vaguely peaceful expression as they gradually dissipate into nothingness. “...oh.”The Shadows take with them the heavy, overbearing fog and oppressive heat and, finally, Yosuke no longer feels like he's trying to breathe underwater. Finally, he can sense the weight of his kunai and feel secure. But that doesn't mean everything's back to normal.Yosuke's still sweaty; still tingly from head to toe; and still maddeningly, unrelentingly horny. He glances at Yu – who's still wonderfully disheveled and undone, blushing crimson, and rock hard in his pants – and the urge to continue where they left off intensifies. Although now, with the fog gone and his head clearer, Yosuke can keep himself in check; he can get up, lick away the taste of Yu from behind his teeth and say,“I think we should get out of here.”Yu nods, taking a moment to fix his open shirt before standing too, and Yosuke finds that he looks no less lewd with the buttons done up. The sweat-damp fabric simply clings to his skin, highlighting the curvature of his muscles and his stiff, perky nipples. A replay of the sounds Yu made earlier flashes through Yosuke's mind, hot on the heels of the desire to flick and twist them, and he draws in a sharp breath to counteract the twitch of his dick.Yeah, he's gotta get out of here, stat.*Much more of the evening has passed than expected when they spill out of the TV and onto the floor of Junes’ Electronics department. It's way past closing, with every display model turned off or powered down, and if it weren't for the dim backup lights, the area would be completely dark. Yosuke doesn't need to flip his phone open to know that he's going to need an especially good excuse for tonight to keep his parents off his back.Yet it's the last thing on his mind.Hyper aware of every inch of his body, Yosuke scrambles to his feet and breaks into a full sprint towards the nearest bathroom. He can hear Yu's shoes clicking behind him in pursuit; by the time he crashes through the restroom door, Yu's caught up to him, barreling past him and into the room. Yu rounds on Yosuke and crowds him against the door, forcing it shut as he wedges a thigh between Yosuke's, brackets his head with his forearms, and bodily pins him to it.Touching foreheads; passing hot breaths back and forth; staring into each other's eyes – god, Yu's close. So, so close. And of course the look in Yu's eyes is ardent and stormy, sending Yosuke's heart rate to the moon with nothing but its intensity. His palms against Yu's chest suddenly seem like the sole buffer between him and being swallowed whole by his presence.“Yosuke.”Yu says his name like a question; a question that he has only one answer for.“Yeah.”Yosuke closes his eyes as he says it, letting it slip out like a sigh, and curls his fingers into Yu's shirt to grip it tight. Even though the sweltering heat of the backlot is gone, the roiling heat in his core persists and it's just as powerful as it was inside of the TV. But unlike then, Yosuke can tell – this fever, this hunger, is all his own.It flares the moment their lips touch, gobbling up any sense of restraint Yosuke had managed to recover. He responds willingly, tossing his inhibitions to the wayside, and welcomes the warm, wet slide of Yu's tongue with a deep moan of satisfaction.
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Already, their kisses sound filthy to his ears, sloppy smacks and slurps interspersed with mms and ahhs, and the quiet of an empty Junes only magnifies it like a lewd loudspeaker. He chases after every spark of pleasure on pure instinct, reaching new, dizzying levels of arousal when Yu breaks from suckling on his tongue like a man starved; jerkily grinds against him; and gasps,“Yosuke, god, you have no idea how much you drive me crazy.”Yu says it desperately, like he's been waiting his whole life to do so, and it pulls all the right levers. The feeling of being desired so intensely makes Yosuke's cock and heart throb, spurring him to grind back and laugh breathlessly at the same time.“Oh yeah? Well, right back atcha, partner.” He pokes the tip of his tongue out playfully, not expecting Yu to match the gesture, lick him, and lure him into another messy, searing kiss. It gets him wrapping his arms around Yu's neck to bring him even closer, wordlessly begging for more and deeper. And Yu gives him more; gives him deeper; echoing his desire and singing it back to him until they're rutting hard and fast against each other's thighs, rattling the door behind them. The vibrations of Yu's moans, felt through the insistent press of his tongue and the frantic gyrations of his hips, shake Yosuke all over. It's so good, kissing Yu like this, being the exclusive target of his pent-up passion, that he doesn't want it to end. Yosuke would love to stay suspended here, recklessly riding surge after surge of bliss, but his body is too far ahead for that. His cock jumps and swells, his balls draw up tight, and he pants into Yu’s mouth, “oh shit, oh fuck, gonna– gonna– haaa–”Yosuke's eyes roll back, his mouth goes slack, and his toes curl as he peaks silently. Ecstasy sweeps over him in long, hot, buttery waves, stealing his voice and leaving him clinging to his partner like a lifeline.Somewhere outside of himself, Yosuke senses Yu orgasming too; hears him repeating his name; feels him dampening his thigh with his come, and he's hit with a final, powerful spasm.God.It isn't until his heart stops galloping like a stallion that Yosuke opens his eyes. Yu is still as close as he's ever been, leaning all his weight onto him and breathing hard, and Yosuke is grateful for the pressure – he'd have already melted into a puddle, otherwise.(Kind of a wonder he hasn't anyway.)Yosuke drops his still-tingling arms, allowing Yu to roll off to one side and slide slowly to the floor. Yu then flops forward to rest his head on his knees, and exhausted, Yosuke joins him, groaning softly as the wobbly, jellyfish feeling in his legs take hold. His pants squish when he hits the floor, acutely reminding him that he's filthy with sweat and semen. He's gotta get that situated before he gets home too.Ugh.But it's a small price to pay, ultimately, for the best orgasm he's ever had.(Probably.)After a few moments of just their breathing staving off silence, Yosuke bumps Yu lightly with his shoulder. “Hey, so, um…”“Mmm?” Yu answers but doesn't lift his head. Yosuke gets it; they've both been through the wringer today.Staring ahead into the semi-darkness of the bathroom, he continues. “You don't think we should tell the team about this, do you? About our Shadows, I mean.”That makes Yu sit upright again. Quickly.“No,” he says, more vehemently than he means to. Oops. He coughs to clear his throat and tries again; the words come out gentler this time. “No, I don't think we should.”Yosuke nods. That's fine. He's fine with that. Just like the first time with his Shadow, nobody else needs to know. Now there's only one thing left to address, and Yu jumps on it first, asking simply, “when were you going to tell me?”“I wasn't,” Yosuke mumbles, hunching over. It's his turn to rest his head on his knees. “I was waiting for it to go away.”“But it didn't.”“No.” Then, “What about you, though? Were you gonna tell me?”“I… I don't know. Maybe?” Yu sighs. “I didn't want you to reject me.”“Reject you? Who in their right mind would reject you, partner?”Yu smiles ruefully at the incredulous tone Yosuke takes on. “You, I thought. I didn't want to lose my best friend.”
Best friend.
Yosuke's cheeks start heating up pleasantly even as he mentally whacks himself for asking like that. Of course, Yu – brave, smart, amazing, charming-everyone-in-a-five-mile-radius Yu – would still fear the sting of rejection. No one is immune to that.“I didn't want to lose you either,” Yosuke admits shyly, fighting back a yawn that tries to take over the end of his sentence. His pants squish again as he stands. “Shit, it's late. My parents are gonna be so mad. Can we… we can talk about this tomorrow, right?”“Of course,” Yu says, standing too. Then, he reasons, “you know, you could always come back with me tonight. We can say we fell asleep studying.”“Really?” That sounds perfect; Yosuke agrees to the plan in a heartbeat. “You're a genius, partner! They'll definitely believe it if you're the one to say it.”Yosuke leads the way out of the restroom, pushing the door open wide. Thankfully, Junes is still as empty, still as dim, and still as closed as it was twenty minutes ago. He's not sure why he thought there would be something different but he's soothed by the fact that there isn't.He has no more appetite for surprises today. At least, that's what Yosuke thinks until they get to the elevator. As the doors open, Yu reaches for his hand, squeezes it briefly, and says, “Let's go home, partner.” – and as they close, Yosuke changes his mind. One or two more surprises won't hurt.
