The Hyuga clan is one of the most powerful and influential clans in Konoha. Despite their prestige and status, the Hyuga clan has shown that they are not infallible, as they have made poor decisions (and will continue to do so) for as long as they live. They are perceived as this divine and heavenly being, with those set of dojutsu that everyone in every nation envies. As the youngest sibling and the princess of the Hyuga family, you possess the very essence of their angelic genetics. Wherever you go, you are often called "princess" or "saintess," evoking the celestial aura of the clan's lineage. That's what people wanted to think of them anyway. You're completely the opposite. Instead of resembling a divine being, you are known for your tyrannical nature and constant clashes with your family. The concept of "dishonoring the clan" means little to you, as you are not afraid to hold your ground when it comes to putting every single one of them in their place, including your parents. It's not like they're better than you anyway. Yes, you're in fact, a spoiled narcissistic sociopathic of a princess. This information is well known only within the Hyuga clan but doesn't mean you don't slip up in public when you're seriously losing your shit.Amidst the dysfunctional family dynamics, your nephews and nieces hold a special place in your heart. Neji, still young at 11 years old, already displays exceptional talents. In your free time, you prioritize spending time with him, either studying or training, as you care deeply for his well-being and future. " (Y/N) are you ready— What in the name of gods are you wearing!" Your mother barges into your room, her footsteps convey her impatience. Her eyes widen in disbelief as if you were dressed in a scandalous bikini or something."Is there a problem? I thought i looked fine" You twirl around, admiring the way the long, flowy dress gracefully follows your movements. You lift the dress to examine yourself in the mirror, thinking you looked fine and comfortable in the current weather."My goodness— could you at least act the part of the princess, considering your title?! What will people think when the prized Hyuga princess attends a tea party dressed in 'some old rag'? It's Mira Yamanaka hosting the gathering, the wife of the Yamanaka clan head! I've reminded you how sensitive she is to the latest trends!" Your mother goes on a tirade, expressing her disapproval of your fashion choice. She then, aggressively opens the door to your closet."This is precisely why, at your grown age, you're still a disgrace!" She adds before Rummaging through the hangers, looking for something that meets her standards. You furrow your eyebrows and frown, irritated. "You’re such a joy to be around.""The very least you could appease me is to appear virtuous in front of the public! You're the reason why our family's reputation is stained!" It's always you; The sociopathic villain in the family. When your mother was expecting you, she sought out the highest priest for a fortune reading. The prediction was that you would be a gifted and benevolent saintess who would bring peace to the world — information that was later widely circulated, much to your amusement. Well, this prophecy couldn't be further from the truth. Despite the public hype, you are far from angelic, which makes you question if your family was being scammed by the priest predictions. Maybe the real angelic Hyuga princess was swapped with you at birth.Your family consists of a father who has recently retired as a war veteran and is starting to show signs of weakness and aging. Undoubtedly, no longer fit to continue leading the clan, making his decision to step down as the head of the clan soon.Your mother, in contrast to your father, appears vain and materialistic, constantly indulging in luxuries and maintaining her youthful appearance. Being significantly younger than your father, she has adopted a lifestyle that revolves around extravagance and consumption.Your older brother, who is poised to become the heir due to his eldest status, suffers from a gambling addiction. He recklessly engages in risky investments and wagers away any earnings, damaging the family's financial stability. Despite being married and having two daughters, your older brother harbors feelings of inferiority in comparison to his younger twin brother, who has a son possessing greater strength and talent. (Family beef again)To the middle sibling, who is reserved and obedient, adheres to be orders like a dog, never questioning authority because he didn't have the balls to be like you. Despite his beliefs that his son could be the future head of the clan, he is aware that this is unlikely due to the circumstances of being from the branch house.Your clans finances is either being spent by your mother or your eldest brother trying to find ways to maximise profit or whatever the fuck he does in his free times. The younger twin is the only person you could tolerate out of everyone in the family."Here, put this on." Your mom tosses you a lacey dress, exasperated and determined to have her way "Just listen to me this time!"You peel the dress off of your face with a grunt. "This is a summer dress." The material feels light and airy, clearly designed for warmer weather, but your mother's attention is focused elsewhere. You put them on anyway. While there are instances where you revel in disobedience and tantrums, it seems this situation necessitates compliance. You tremble with frustration. Your mother cared only about the fact that your dress was out of fashion, entirely ignoring that her daughter was shivering in a thin summer gown.* "The roses are exquisite!""Where else if not in the Yamanaka's garden could one witness such sight? fufufu"Your mother, seated at the same table as the head wife of the Yamanaka clan, lets out an exclamation of surprise. "Oh my, I've never seen such beautiful flowers before!" she remarks, attempting to flatter the hostess."My husband imported a hybrid variety from another nation while he was on his mission.""Oh my, how considerate! It must be because such extravagant roses suit you so well, Mira." Around the central table, laughter bloomed more abundantly than the roses. All the women were dressed in light purple gowns, the latest trend of this spring. You cross your arms across your chest and sulk away, feeling cold and isolated. Your mother's decision to make you wear a flimsy summer dress has left you feeling uncomfortable and antisocial, without any friends to socialize with at the gathering."Ah, Yuri-sama isn't your youngest daughter turning eighteen this year?" one of the guest asks, "I have a son with a similar age serving in the Anbus right now." A daring suggestion. The Hyuga normally doesn't marry outside of their lineage so to even suggest that is particularly outrageous—"My son is a Jonin and a former Anbu members as well—""Well, i suppose she's of that age where she has to start thinking of marriage, doesn't she?"You fixed a steely glare at your mom for even considering this. This is nuts. The audacity of these ladies to offer up their sons for marriage to your mother based solely on societal status is absurd. "Hmph, as if any lesser son could be worthy of my hand in marriage."You thought derisively.Yeah your son better be the Hokage's son with the Senju lineage. You roll your eyes."Princess Hyuga—" a blonde girl bows her head a little before introducing herself to you "My name is Momo Yamanaka, dropped by to say how beautiful you looked in that dress!""Thanks!" You force a strain smile due to the harsh cold hitting your skin."Isn't that a summer dress though? Did you miss the party's theme? It was lilac" A young girl with a black bob speaks up, her tone condescending. You respond by fixing the girl with a blank, impassive stare, using your empty ghostly eyes to your advantage. Your gaze seems to be slightly unsettling, as it has a profound effect on people who often find themselves uncomfortable under your intense gaze (or any other Hyuga in that matter). It works wonders on the girl, who suddenly feels her confidence waver as she meets your unyielding stare. (Tbh She could probably do the same)You recognize the girl as one from the Uchiha clan, instantly identifying their distinct features as a result of their clan's inbreeding practices. While you could criticize them for their genetic consequences, you realize that the Hyuga clan also has its own fair share of inbreeding within the main branch so, you shut your mouth."You ought to cover yourself more, princess. That dress sure doesn't do you justice." The girl's snide comment about your choice of attire is meant to imply that you should dress more conservatively, but it can also be taken as a suggestion to stop being perceived as promiscuous. Considering your options, you ponder whether to respond sarcastically or a more aggressive approach, such as spilling your tea on her face like a madman. You chose the latter. You spare the Uchiha one hateful smile before standing up.A collective gasp fills the room as all eyes turn towards you and the spilled tea staining your dress. You find yourself in a disheveled state, with tea dripping down your face, eliciting surprise and shock from the other guests at the gathering. The Uchiha girl stands there in a state of mild shock, her jaw hangs open, as she regards you with a mixture of incredulity and disbelief. She takes in the sight of you, drenched in tea, her gaze then sweeping around the room, noticing the other guests' reactions. Many are covering their mouths and whispering silently to themselves, their shock evident as they witness the unfolding scene."I— didn't do it!" The girl panics, realizing she has drawn unwanted attention, and quickly protests. Her words are rushed and desperate, trying to deny any involvement in the spilled tea incident.Your mother's face contorts with anger as she storms over to your pathetic form, her frustration evident in her movements."Hey— come on you seen it— i didn't do it!" She says to Momo. The blonde girl looks terrified by this situation."What the hell do you think—" Your mom begins to lash out, her anger on full display, but you intervene, placing a gentle hand on her arm to calm her down. With a soft yet firm tone, you say, "Mother, it's alright." You flash a reassuring smile, your voice steady and confident. "It was just an accident i know she doesn't mean it"Your mother senses that you are playing a familiar game, one that she has witnessed in the past when you exhibit psychotic tendencies. She doesn't quite know where this aspect of your personality came from, as she muses that it doesn't seem to have originated from her."Ugh— i won't forget this!" The Uchiha states and storms out of the party with her teeth clenched in anger. You grin maniacally as you watch her retreating figure disappear into the distance, revelling in the chaos you created. The guests swarm around you, to inquire about your wellbeing. "Oh no, are you alright?" they ask, feigning sympathy, as they flock around you like birds. "Why did she splash her tea at you?" It's clear that they are only interested in the drama at hand and not genuinely concerned about your welfare. You force a smile, excusing yourself with a practiced, forced expression. "I'm afraid I'm in no condition to continue enjoying this party," you say, your tone carefully crafted, and your mother nearly fall for the act."Aw, poor princess (y/n) she didn't deserve that!"You turn to your mother with a cheerful tone, using the spilled tea as a convenient excuse to excuse yourself from the social gathering. "Mother, you enjoy yourself, ill be changing my dress by myself ," you suggest, relishing the opportunity to change out of the thin dress and escape the tiresome event that the ladies seem to adore.Your mother pinch the bridge of her nose tirelessly and lets you go.* You walk around town after buying comfortable yet fashionable piece of clothing in one of the branded boutiques. You reflect on the aversion to the social gatherings and their participants. Social butterfly people will never be your type of people. Its obnoxious and nauseating being surrounded by a bunch of snakes that would be really quick to turn their back at you.As you walked through the town and passed by a dango store, your gaze fell upon a familiar figure sitting inside. There it was, your older brother: Hiashi. His eyes appearing strained but not enough like it would when he activates his byakugan. You instantly recognized him with a bunch of cards in his hands.Your face scrunches up at this. You just escaped the tea party prison and your older brother is gambling in a restaurant for everyone to see. Talk about you tarnishing the clans reputation yet you have the heir of the Hyuga clan embarrassingly showcasing his stupidity in this broad daylight."Auch— auch what the fu—" Your brother lets out a pained cry, forced to stand up from his seat to see the perpetrator that's violently pulling on his ear. On the other side of the table was an Uchiha; The captain of the Konoha military police force. He looks bewildered at the sight of you."What the hell is wrong with you? Gambling in broad daylight?!" You smack his head with the shopping bag clutched in your hand."Enough— we weren't gambling!" Hiashi defends himself, covering his head from you."Princess Hyuga, forgive us but we were merely just playing with nothing on the stake," The Uchiha addresses you calmly. He expresses his amusement, but maintains a stoic expression, not letting any hint of emotion show on his face, especially in front of the heir of the Hyuga clan. It was an interesting sight for anyone. Fugaku glances at the scattered cards on the table and can't help but smirk slightly. Knowing that he would have won with that hand makes him secretly pleased."What's wrong with you? it was just a friendly match" Your brother hisses at you, demonic looking set of eyes glares at your skull."Do it in the privacy of one of your own home! Not here in public. You're an embarrassment and unfit for the role of the head of the clan. Go home before i tell Father." You spare the Uchiha one last hateful glance before dragging your incompetence of a brother home with you."Isn't the princess super interesting?"Fugaku turns to Shisui, who suddenly appears next to him with a flick of an eye with a playful smile on his face "Stop doing that, one of these days you'll give me a heart attack" Fugaku laughs it off anyway."Have you been watching?"Shisui's face lights up with an amused expression "I was strolling around and saw her walking up to you guys. She's one of those rare creatures on earth" His eyes crinkle with mirth, as if he's enjoying a private joke or finding humor in the situation.Fugaku picks up one of the Dango stick, playfully twirling it around in his fingers, nodding in agreement to Shisui's comment "Hm, it's pretty amazing that she can just discipline the next head of the clan in public and throw those glaring ghostly eyes at me""Was her classmates back in the academy. She's pretty quiet unless spoken to. She's always up to no good when she feels the slightest bit of aggression from another party." Shisui swipes a dango stick from Fugaku's plate and savors the sweet confection, enjoying the melting taste in his mouth. His onyx eyes twinkle with delight at the burst of flavor.Fugaku ponders about the age gap between you and your brothers although this is a common knowledge among Konoha citizen. Given that your mother had twins at a really young in her still teenage age (He would guess around 17 years old). There was that 11 years of gap between you and the twins."I supposed she's one interesting girl. I still remember the grand announcement of her birth in the village as if commemorating the arrival of the saintess of some sort. I thought it was funny at the time" Fugaku chuckles."She's lovely. I've always admired her," Shisui swallows the chewed dango in his mouth. Fugaku raise his one eyebrow at this, concerned or curious? he's not sure. It is unexpected for someone as popular as his nephew, admitting to having a crush or some sort when he's one of the heartthrob men in Konoha?"She has that angelic visage, divine and innocent look adorning her face. Completely, contradicting with her true, foul personality hidden within. I think it's beautiful"Fugaku ignore whatever the fuck this means. He's not some creepy bastard to be finding amusement in such gossip. Don't get him wrong, it's a useful information to learn but he figures this is something that only the youngsters like Itachi or Shisui could make use of. He's just some bystander that watches it all goes down anyway."Say, what do you think of one of us marrying off to her?" Recent conversations surges his memories and hes reminded of the reason why he was sharing a table with Hiashi.Shisui stops eating and raise his eyebrow."My sons are way too young. What do you think of a Hyuga as a bride?""Uh," The younger Uchiha blinks like he can't fathom the idea of it. He looks at Fugaku like he's gone senile and insane. What kind of answers should he even give?"I thought, it's looked down to marry outside our lineage?" He asks."Sure, but our people still do it. Just not with a Hyuga or any other prominent clans out there.""Yeah, i mean especially not the Hyugas. Well, you're asking the wrong person. What does The Princess Hyuga think of marrying outside her clan? Not just any bum in the street, an Uchiha at that." Shisui sniggers and smile as if the sentence he just spoke is something controversially hilarious."Hmm, we'll see about that."* The old coot is finally going to meet his ends. He's been on his deathbed for a month now. You don't blame him. You're pretty sure he's been straining the Byakugan since he came out of the womb. You're standing on the edge of the bed while your brothers and mother cries on the side of the bed. No he's not dead yet, just the anticipation of him dying soon making them cry a river. From the moment of your birth, your father developed a deep favoritism towards you. Everything you did, said, and accomplished is a divine revelation in his eyes and he held you in the highest regard. Having fully believed the teachings of the highest priest, he boasted and is proud to this day to call you his little princess. In a demonstration of his devotion, he issued an outright ban on the curse seal being placed upon you. Despite your knowledge of the inevitable fate that awaits you once your brother ascends to the throne, you understand that you will ultimately be sealed, just like Hizashi, in accordance with tradition.Hiashi has always felt robbed by your existence, feeling that you have usurped his rightful place as the favored child. You're loved more, more talented, smarter and better than he will ever be, with everything handed to you effortlessly on a silver platter. From his perspective, you are a spoiled brat who fails to recognize the inherent unfairness of this world. Even in your current circumstances, Hiashi observes that you are not shedding any tears, further fueling his animosity and discontentment."My (Y/N)... i want to talk to her, come here my princess..." Your father says in a wise voice. His eyes crinkle and his smile lines deepened as he looks lovingly in your direction, beckoning you closer. You shove Hiashi aside to kneel besides your fathers bed. "Yes, Father what can i be of assistance?"The old man chuckle, his hand reaches to the top of your head, in an attempt to brush them with his boney fingers "I have nothing to ask from my angel other than for you to be happy till the end. Don't follow the path your old man has taken but i know that I'm in no position to stop you from making decisions,""My life changed ever since you were born and i am grateful. You may not be the next head of the clan but you are still vital and significant within the clan. You have the power to change the Shinobi world i believe in you," He smiles to pause on his long wisdom-filled speech.Your smile in response is not forced but tinged with a faint sense of pity. In your own way, this may be as close as you come to offering an endearing expression."Hiashi, Hizashi your job as the older brother is to protect your little sister. Don't go sealing her after the effort i've put in banning the practice from her.""Yes father," Hiashi nods in acknowledgment of their father's directive, while Hizashi feels a measure of inner conflict. What about him? Shouldn't his seal be lifted as well? Why make you an exception while he remain bound by the seal? why not have all the three of you be free from the seal? You could care less about the seal. Infact Hiashi is free to take you down with the seal if he wants. That is after you throw his body in a pig's pen of course."It's heartening to know that i won't be here when you get married—""Oh stop it, darling of course you'll be here when she gets married! You will i just know!" Your mother grabs his hand, holding it with both of hers as she sobs in between her sentences."Yeah, we can just get her married before your times comes," Hiashi suggests and you felt your heart dropped down to your stomach. Wow, woah wait a second? What is this talk they're currently having? It appears you're unable to catch up."Pardon?" Your father questions."(Y/N) has been seeing someone lately but she's way too shy to tell you both because the man is from outside of the clan," Hiashi continues with his lies and you're violently whipping your head to face him.Your mother was astonished to learn this as well. You? seeing someone? "Oh my— how come even i haven't heard of this?""Because the guy is none other than an Uchiha,"You felt like you were punch in the face. Your jaw went slack as you glance between the twin brothers in a swift motion. Hizashi looks as confused like he's not sure what to believe.Your mom chokes on her saliva and starts violently coughing."Y-youre seeing an Uchiha?" Your father raise his eyebrows, concerned yet intrigued. You glare at Hiashi's sly smirk one last time before you face your Father. You took a deep breath, contemplating your choice of replies. What should you do? play along?"Er, not really. I haven't considered marriage. It's called having friends, Father" Your mother almost interjects, questioning your ability to maintain friendships. You do have them, the village adore and love you. Yet she is aware that you have never formed a genuine, close relationship with anyone. You clarify that you have not displayed much interest in hanging out or spending time with friends, nor have you brought friends over for sleepovers and meals. As such, your relationship with the unnamed Uchiha is unlikely to be serious or intimate.Your father is old and senile though. He never doubt you so he was at least happy that you're having friends. Nonetheless, he appears to have some reservations about the Uchiha connection. That is still a hard pill to swallow but then again this might be some divine revelation from god. Perhaps, hinting at a much-needed opportunity for the Hyuga clan to broaden their perspective and explore beyond their usual limitations rather than just in the surface. That's what they're known for anyway!"(Y/N) If it's true that you found love, then i would be more than happy for you to chase it. Even if it's an Uchiha, i don't care,""What?!? but father!" Hizashi claims."Darling, how could you say that?! We've been keeping our bloodline pure for thousands of years!" Your mother objects. You're not sure why this old coot is accepting this fate. It's like he thinks whatever you do, bring abundance of fortune, prosperity and wisdom. What is wrong with everyone in this clan, genuinely?"So what? Humanity were supposed to evolve every decades. There's nothing wrong with going out of the comfort zone and experiencing life at its full capacity. If it's (Y/N), I trust her with such responsibilities.""So if Hiashi-Nii were to marry an Uchiha—" you ask to an immediate response. "Absolutely not!" Your father objects."Should i be offended or relieved?" Your brother mutters loud enough for you to hear."Nii- sama i can't believe you're even considering this idea?" The younger twin speaks up, face scrunches in consternation. The older twin responds by presenting a counterargument, stating, "Establishing a good relationship with the Uchiha clan by becoming in-laws could be beneficial. We have more to gain than to lose. Building a stable relationship with them could be good for the future of our clan.""Are you saying that because they're rich? They own a lot of businesses right?" You ask, glaring from below knowing that he must be interested in some sort of collaboration investment of some sort. The older twin confirms your suspicions, admitting that the clan's affluence could be a factor. He then presents a more strategic viewpoint, "You can certainly interpret it that way, but I prefer to consider the broader picture here. Aligning with the Uchiha clan would give us greater control, and having another political party that shares our values and supports us in crucial moments can be advantageous.""That would also mean we have to get on their good sides! We would have to give and take as well as supporting them!" Hizashi counters, raising a valid point, emphasizing that aligning with the Uchiha clan would require mutual effort."Yes, and I am willing to do so. Building a strong and beneficial alliance can be worthwhile if it ultimately serves the best interests of our clan." Hiashi responds, expressing his agreement and preparedness to make compromises and concessions.Your words convey anger and irritation as you acknowledge that the suggestion of marrying you to an Uchiha is motivated by self-interest. "Fine, then, I will marry an Uchiha, because frankly— I see no significant differences between you and those devil worshiping tyrants. It appears to me that their interests and yours share some common ground, after all."Hizashi sighs at your crude statement.Your mother is taken aback by your willing acceptance of the idea, looking shocked and on the verge of fainting. She exclaims, "No!"However, your father chuckles lightheartedly in response. Confused, Hizashi addresses the elderly man, expressing concern, "What's wrong, Father?" Your father waves off the concern casually, finding the situation amusing."(Y/N) Isn't so wrong about that. I realised that despite the blessings bestowed upon our clan, while blessed, we are still flawed. We're too prideful, too arrogant and maybe we're no different than the Uchihas." With a chuckle, he expresses gratitude, saying,"Thankyou, (Y/N). You've always been so smart and has always opened this old bastard eyes. Im so glad i can see much more things rather than having a tunnelled vision,"Your father pulls you to a hug and you're thinking to yourself: What the fuck is wrong with this family.
