“Ow, Rinnie!” Meguru yelps, instinctively pulling his head away from Rin as he feels another tug on his hair. Rin rolls his eyes, though he loosens the grip he had on the hair in his hands. “I didn’t even pull that hard. You’re being dramatic.” Meguru crosses his arms, his shoulders slumped as he leans back on the chair. “Hey,” Rin scolds again. “Stop slumping like that, it’ll make me mess up your hair. It’s bad enough as is.” Rin can see Meguru's lips turn into a pout as he glances to the mirror on top of the dresser in front of them. “You said you loved my hair,” the other retorted, tilting his head up and sticking his tongue out at Rin. Rin raised a brow as he looked down at Meguru’s face. He resisted the urge to smile at the boy’s antics – so he flicked his forehead. “Ow!” the boy yelped once more before sighing and bringing his head back up. “Okay, fine, fine. No more, I promise. Just please do my hair, Rinnie.” Rin let out a pleased hum at that, relieved to finally continue his work.  Meguru’s hair had grown exceptionally long during the Neo Egoist League and rarely had time to cut it. His under-highlights were fading, as well.  With them finally getting some free time after all the matches concluded, Meguru immediately went to Paris’ stratum to find Rin. Rin didn’t mind, however. Maybe if it was before an important match – but with all of them being concluded, he couldn’t find an excuse to deny the boy’s help even if he wanted to. It had been a while since he last saw his boyfriend, after all. If he had to think back to the last time he did, it must have been when PXG was going against FC Barcha. “Rin? Did you hear me?” Meguru’s voice snapped Rin out of his thoughts. He looked down at the mirror to see Meguru’s face before looking down at his work.  He didn’t mess anything up, at least. “Sorry, I didn’t hear,” Rin answered earnestly. If Meguru were to look closely (which, he always did), he would see the light dust of pink on Rin’s cheeks. Meguru hummed, a smile making its way to his lips. “It was nothing. What was on your mind that got you spacing out?” “Oh,” Rin trimmed a bit of hair on Meguru’s right, stepping out of the way so the hair wouldn’t land on top of his foot. “Just thinking about the last time I saw you, that’s all. It’s been a while.” “Aw,” the boy merely cooed, “does that mean Rinnie missed me?” Rin didn’t answer for a moment. When Meguru looked at the mirror, he noticed how red Rin’s face was. He let out a small chuckle, feeling a bit flushed himself. “I’ll take that as a ‘yes’ .” “Shut up,” Rin scoffed, though his eyes softened in a way he refused to explain. He eventually put the scissors he used to cut Meguru’s hair on a nearby table, moving around the chair where the boy sat to examine his hair.  Rin seemed pleased with his work. He then grabbed a tint brush and dipped it in the small bowl filled with dye that was identical to Meguru’s previous color. Rin tied a portion of Meguru’s hair up before taking the tint brush and coloring over the faded highlights. The silence was nice – he liked moments like these. Moments without Meguru’s seemingly never-ending blabbering; though at times he did favor that small part of him. After a couple minutes of applying the dye on top of the faded hair, Rin placed the tint brush in the small bowl of dye. He set a timer on his phone for fifteen minutes. “Do you like the length?” Rin asked. His voice was gentle – which would have been surprising to Meguru if he was anyone else. Fortunately, he knows Rin only speaks to him that way. Perhaps he was special. “Or should I cut it some more once the dye is processed?” Meguru shook his head with a smile that never seemed to leave his face. “It looks great! It’s way better than what I could do. Hell, even better than what Otoya could do back at the Spain stratum.” He peered up at Rin from where he sat on the chair, grabbing the collar of Rin’s shirt lightly and pulling him down to press a kiss to his cheek. Rin’s eyes widened slightly at the action before welcoming the gesture. The height difference wasn’t that preferred, so he held onto the chair’s armrests to steady himself. He pulled his head back at some point to stare at Meguru’s face. His gaze lingered to many places on his face – first at Meguru’s right eye, then his left, then finally his lips. The infamous triangle method. Rin made sure to look into every relationship tip he could find online before dating Meguru, after all. (He would never say that aloud, though. Not unless he wanted to be humiliated for life, or something). Meguru followed Rin’s eyes. He raised a brow with a teasing smile, poking Rin’s nose with a small chuckle, “Where did you learn that?” Rin didn’t want to reveal his wide knowledge in romantic gestures – definitely not. “Learned what?” “Oh, whatever,” Meguru shoved Rin’s shoulder before puckering his lips childishly. “Just kiss me already.” Rin made a face. “You look weird like that. Stop it.” Meguru huffed, “Rinnie, you’re like – totally ruining the moment right now!”  “Oh, I’m ruining the moment?” Rin challenged. “Yes, yes you are–” Rin pressed his lips against Meguru’s, though it seemed as though he had more to say. “Hey–!” Meguru fought back against the kiss stubbornly, though it just made Rin kiss him harder. “Let me finish talki– mmf!” After a few seconds, Meguru sighed in defeat and let his eyes close, his hands moving to hold onto Rin’s shoulders as he let the kiss happen. The kiss continued for a few more moments before the alarm Rin had set on his phone began to go off rather abruptly. The two moved away from one another quickly at the loud alarm. “I forgot about that…” Rin muttered. “I did, too. Also, can you change that ringtone next time? It really reminds me of middle school when my alarm would go off. Super annoying.” Meguru stood up from the chair and went to Rin’s bathroom to rinse his newly recolored hair. Rin nodded at him as Meguru entered the bathroom. He went over to sit on the foot of his bed before laying down, scrolling on his phone for a while until he heard the bathroom door open once again. Rin looked up from his phone, a small smile on his face. “Your hair looks nice.” “Thanks,” Meguru grinned. “I wonder who did it.” Rin shrugged his shoulders. “Tell them they did really well on it.” Meguru laughed, moving to lay down on the bed beside Rin.  “No, I don’t think I should,” he turned to face Rin. “It might give them an unnecessary ego boost or something.” “You’re dumb,” Rin scoffed, the small smile on his face never faltering. He cradled Meguru’s cheek, noticing how he leaned into the touch. Comfortable silence washed over the two before Rin spoke up:

“You’re getting hair dye all over my sheets, by the way.”
