Chan hasn’t gotten fucked in so long and he’s desperate so he sneaks Soon in, tells him to stay quiet bc his cats get territorial. Soon laughs but agrees, being so quiet that Chan doesn’t even hear him move. Chan checks and makes sure that the cats are all asleep, all of them unsurprisingly on his bed. He decides that in order to keep them away and asleep, that they’ll just fuck in the guest room which also happens to be the cats’ room even if they never use it anymore.Chan immensely enjoys it, he loves every second of it. Unfortunately, he wakes up to hissing and yowling, already knowing that his cats found out and are pissed. He sighs as he sits up, preparing himself to hold them back when he notices Soon laughing at them, holding a hissing and clawing Jihoon in the air and cooing at him while Wonwoo and Jun watch from a little further away.“What is going on?” Chan groans, rubbing his face. Jihoon goes limp in Soon’s arms, turning his head towards Chan to meow in complaint. Wonwoo is already settling into Chan’s lap, grooming himself as he glares at Soon and Jun just alternates between, not having decided if he wants to attack Soon or cuddle with Chan. Soon just laughs, bringing Jihoon closer to him to coo at him, Jihoon swiping out to try to scratch him. Chan reaches forward to grab Jihoon from Soon, looking at him in disapproval. Jihoon huffs, turning his head around to curl into Chan’s chest while also glaring at Soon.Jun decides at that moment that he’s going to attack Soon, everyone too distracted by Jihoon at the moment. He launches himself onto Soon, hitting him right in the face and knocking him back onto the bed with a yowl. Soon pulls him off, already laughing at Jun as he does. Chan is exasperated, using his free arm to grab at Jun, already scolding him for attacking Soon.“What have I told you about attacking people?” Chan reprimands, looking at all of them pointedly. They all meow, discontent, all still glaring at Soon. Soon is giggling, breathless and Chan doesn’t know why he finds all of this funny but he’ll take that over Soon running out in fear.“I’ll go make us breakfast!” Soon chirps, laughter still in his voice. Chan tries to protest but Soon just leans in and kisses him, all three cats yowling and scrambling to push Soon away when he does. Chan just sits there dazes as he watches Soon get up, face flushing when he realizes that he’s naked. Soon reaches down to grab a pair of pants, winking at him as he leaves to the kitchen still shirtless. Chan lets out the breath he didn’t realize he was holding as soon as Soon is out of sight. He hears a meow and looks down to see all three cats looking at him judgmentally. He sighs, bringing them closer to him and lying down to cuddle them as he waits for Soon to make food, hoping that cuddling will make his cats calm down.Unfortunately, he’s scrambling into a pair of pants and running to the kitchen 5 minutes later when the fire alarm goes off, his cats racing behind him to once again attack the man that is destroying their peace and quiet
Chan has 3 pet cats. He loves them very much and enjoys spending time with them. He’s only had them for about a month and he loves them all dearly. They listen to him, never make a mess and are so sweet to him. Sure his ragdoll likes to get stuck in weird places and his Turkish angora likes to pretend like he doesn’t like him and his Maine coon is a tad bit too clingy, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. He adores them and all their little quirks. The only problem comes up when Chan tries to bring people home. His cats become so hostile, clawing and hissing at whoever he brings home. They knock things over, come into his room when they’re trying to fuck. Chan still hasn’t figured out how they’re able to unlock the door to get in everytime. This keeps up and Chan tries to talk to them but doesn’t know if they even understand him, let alone listen to him. This all changes when he brings home his latest guy, Soon.Soon is his coworker and mentor. Chan has had a crush on him for ages and he finally decided to try to ask him out bc Soon seemed to be flirting with him too. He had mentioned to Soon that he had 3 cats and he had excitedly asked if he could meet them, Chan laughing as he said yes.As he opens his door, he warns Soon that they tend to be hostile to new people, only really feeling comfortable with him. Soon reassures him that cats love him but he’ll be careful. The second they step through the door, they hear a loud, angry yowl and suddenly a cat is leaping at Soon’s face. Chan tries to move Soon out of the way but Soon just grabs the cat and stares at him, shocked. The cat also quietens down, eyes wide and no hostility in sight. In fact, even the cat looks shocked.“Junnie?” Soon breathes out, Jun, the cat, meowing back at him before cuddling close. Chan is so confused on what’s going on.
“You know my cat?” Chan tilts his head to the side, watching as the other two cats cautiously come closer to Soon, Wonwoo batting at his leg while Jihoon looks up to glare at him, hissing in displeasure. Chan has never seen the three of them be so calm with a stranger before.“Hi Wonwoo and Jihoonie,” Soon gently smiles down at them, Jihoon hissing in reply. He crouches down to pet them both, Wonwoo purring and Jihoon batting his hand away. Jun remains cuddled up to Soon as he does. Chan feels awkward, like he’s seeing something that he shouldn’t see.“Uh,” Chan says, rubbing the back of his neck, his face flushing when all the attention turns to him, “can you explain what’s going on?”“Oh! Yes,” Soon replies sheepishly, standing quickly, careful of Jun in his arms as he does, “it’s kind of a long story so do you mind if we sit?” Chan nods, sighing as he leads him into his living room. He can already tell that this will be an interesting story. He sits down on the couch opposite of Soon, Wonwoo hopping up into his lap, curling up there as tho he knew that Chan was feeling a little stressed. Chan coos quietly at him, letting him gently. When he looks up, he sees Soon watching him softly, eyes fond and a gently smile on his lips. Chan clears his throat, prompting Soon to start his explanation.Apparently his cats aren’t actually cats. They were hybrids and had gotten picked up by animal control on accident. Soon had been looking for them for months and as hybrids are rare, they had to hide the fact that they were so that they wouldn’t be sold on the black market. Soon had taken them in a long time ago, having been their “owner” until they were taken. He had tried to get them back but no one would listen to him bc he didn’t have the right paperwork.Chan stays quiet after the explanation was done, Wonwoo going still in his lap and the other two cautiously coming closer. Chan was frowning, face scrunched up, staring at the floor. All of them could feel their hearts sinking thinking that Chan was angry when he suddenly looked up, his eyes narrowing on Jun and Jihoon who were by his feet, both of them freezing.“So that’s how you unlocked the bedroom door? You shifted?” Chan demands to know, Soon snorting at the question. Jihoon and Jun both look down, their ears dropping as they meow in agreement. Chan sighs, rubbing his face, looking so tired.“This was the last thing I was expecting to find out today but I can’t really blame you guys. You were just doing what you thought was best to survive,” Chan gently pets Wonwoo, all three cats and Soon relaxing as he does.
----- CHAPTER BREAK -----
Chan has three pet cats he loves very much and enjoys spending time with. They listen to him, never make a mess, and are so sweet. Sure, his Ragdoll likes to get stuck in weird places, his Turkish Angora likes to pretend like he doesn’t like him, and his Maine Coon is a tad bit too clingy, but he wouldn’t have it any other way.The only problem is Chan can’t bring people home. His sweet cats become hostile around other people, clawing and hissing at anyone he brings home. They knock things over, screech, and come into his room when they’re trying to fuck. Chan still hasn’t figured out how they’re able to unlock the door, but he’s tired of it. He hasn’t gotten fucked in so long, and he’s desperate. “I have to tell you something,” Chan says, hand on Soonyoung’s chest as they stop in the hallway. “I have three cats.”“Cool,” Soonyoung says, hands warm along Chan’s waist, “can I meet them?”“Yes, but.” Chan swallows the whine that rises in his throat as Soonyoung kisses his neck. “They’re really… territorial? So, like. We have to be quiet.”“I can be quiet.” Soonyoung bites at the line of Chan’s jaw and it makes Chan shiver. “Can you be quiet?”The question draws a whine from Chan that makes Soonyoung chuckle. He pulls away from Chan, tangles their fingers together, and looks at Chan, expectant, for a few moments too long. It takes Chan’s brain time to come back online and realize Soonyoung is waiting for him. He leads Soonyoung the rest of the way to his apartment and sneaks Soonyoung in. Soonyoung’s so quiet Chan doesn’t even hear him move. Checking to make sure the cats are all asleep, Chan finds them all on his bed. Unsurprising. He decides they can fuck in the guest room (also the cats’ room, even if they never use it) in order to keep them away and asleep. It’s good. Soonyoung’s fingers find their way into Chan’s mouth partway through, keeping him gagged and quiet, and Chan loves every second. Unfortunately, he wakes up to hissing and yowling. He sighs as he sits up, already knowing that his cats found out and are pissed. Chan prepares himself to wrangle his devil children, but seeing Soonyoung laughing at a hissing and clawing Jihoon is surprising. Soonyoung’s holding Jihoon in the air and cooing at him while Wonwoo and Jun watch from a little further away.“What’s going on?” Chan groans, rubbing his face. “How’d you guys even get in? I thought I locked the door.”Jihoon goes limp in Soonyoung’s arms, turning his head towards Chan to meow in complaint. Wonwoo’s already settling into Chan’s lap now that Chan’s awake, grooming himself as he glares at Soonyoung. Chan thinks Wonwoo means for the glaring to be a threat, but it’s nicer than any of them have been to previous hookups. Nobody’s had to go to the hospital yet, and Jun’s just alternating between attacking Soonyoung and trying to push Wonwoo out of Chan’s lap to cuddle with Chan himself.Soonyoung laughs, bringing Jihoon closer to coo at him. Jihoon swipes out, trying to scratch him, and Chan grabs Jihoon’s paw, looking at him in disapproval. Jihoon huffs, turning his head around to curl into Chan’s chest while also somehow glaring at Soonyoung. Chan takes Jihoon from Soonyoung, hoping that will keep the chaos of his three devil children in check, but of course it can’t be that easy.Jun decides he’s going to attack Soonyoung while everyone’s distracted by Jihoon and launches himself at Soonyoung. He hits Soonyoung square in the face, knocking him back onto the bed with a yowl. Chan’s trying to remove a protesting Wonwoo from his lap while not dropping Jihoon to go grab the first aid kit, but Soonyoung’s laughing at Jun. He’s pulled Jun off, cooing at him in a way Chan thinks is a little weird, but he doesn’t have time to examine that thought. Chan’s exasperated, grabbing Jun with his free arm and already scolding him.“What have I told you about attacking people?” Chan looks at all of them, trying to radiate disappointment. They all meow, discontent, and still glaring at Soonyoung. Soonyoung is breathless and giggling, and Chan doesn’t know why he finds this funny, but it’s better than Soonyoung running out in fear. “We’ve talked about this, you rascals.”His cats glance at each other. Then Wonwoo, nominated as speaker by Jun and Jihoon, meows. Chan sighs, setting both Jihoon and Jun back down on the bed before picking up Wonwoo. Once they’re eye to eye, Wonwoo meows again.“No,” Chan says, trying to be stern, “I don’t care. That doesn’t make it okay.”“I’ll go make us breakfast!” Soonyoung’s still amused, laughter clear in his voice, and Chan tries to protest, but Soonyoung just kisses him. All three cats start yowling and scrambling to push Soonyoung away when they realize what’s happening. “Okay, okay. I’ll let you have your Channie back.”Chan sits there, dazed, as he watches Soonyoung get up, face flushing when he realizes Soonyoung’s naked. They’re both still naked, actually, which Chan abruptly remembers when Jihoon digs his claws into Chan’s arm. Soonyoung reaches down to grab his pants, winking at Chan as he leaves the room, still shirtless. As soon as Soonyoung is out of sight, Chan lets out the breath he didn’t realize he was holding. Jihoon meows, somehow recognizably judgmental, and Chan looks down to see all three cats looking at him. They’re all disgruntled, as opposed to only Jihoon being disgruntled, and Chan sighs, bringing them closer to him and lying down to cuddle them. He hopes cuddling will make his cats calm down as he waits for Soonyoung to make food.Unfortunately, he’s scrambling into a pair of pants and running to the kitchen 5 minutes later when the fire alarm goes off. His cats, of course, race behind him to once again attack the man that is destroying their peace and quiet.
“Did you know,” Soonyoung says as Chan turns into the kitchen, “that you have to clean out your toaster sometimes?”“What?” Chan just stands there, staring at Soonyoung as he fans at the air under the fire alarm. “What the fuck were you trying to make?”Soonyoung points to the toaster, and Chan finally sees the bagel halves shoved into it. They’re not smoking anymore, but they still smell burnt. It occurs to Chan that having a toaster that has a bagel setting, but sets off the smoke alarm if you try to use it for making a bagel is… not ideal when you let someone else use your kitchen.“Oh.” Chan vaguely points toward the toaster oven. “You have to use the toaster oven for the bagels, because—Jun, no!”Despite his quick reflexes, Chan doesn’t catch Jun before he launches himself at Soonyoung. He apparently didn’t need to worry, though, because Soonyoung catches Jun and brushes their noses together.“You’re so silly,” Soonyoung says. Jun hisses, but Soonyoung just swings Jun back and forth, sing-songing: “Silly Junnie.”Jun hisses again, wriggling around in Soonyoung’s hold, and Jihoon takes that as a sign to yowl. Chan looks around, trying to find Jihoon, and just manages to catch him as Jihoon launches himself off the fridge.“Soonyoung is a friend.” Chan says, more desperate than he means to be. “We don’t attack friends. We had this conversation when you first started living here, remember? Because you were picking on—shit, where’s Wonwoo?”As if summoned, Wonwoo weaves between Chan’s legs and looks up at him. Shifting Jihoon around in his arms, Chan scoops up Wonwoo too. Like the devil children they are, both of them start purring. He cradles them close and glances up to check on Soonyoung. Sometime in the last minute or so, Soonyoung tucked Jun into his arm and is putting a bagel into the toaster oven. Jun is grumbling, but not hissing anymore.“If I put you down,” Chan says to Jihoon, “are you gonna attempt to murder the nice friend making me breakfast? I need hands so you can have breakfast.”Jihoon blinks up at Chan, eyes wide and innocent. He meows cutely, but Chan knows better than to trust him. Jihoon is the worst culprit about house guests, even though Jun draws blood more often. Instead of direct attacks on guests, Jihoon prefers pettier acts like throwing up in people’s shoes. Chan doesn’t trust a single one of his cats in the slightest.“Here, take Jun and I’ll get their food too.” Soonyoung holds out Jun, and Chan puts Jihoon on his shoulder to take Jun. “What do you want on your bagel?”“Oh, uh. Anything I have is fine.” Chan almost drops Wonwoo as Jun tries to climb out of his arms and get onto his shoulder. It’s a good thing Chan works out, because neither cat is very light and they love being on his shoulders. “I don’t really care.”“Eggs for everyone it is, then.”Balancing two cats on his shoulders and one in his arms distracts Chan, so Soonyoung cracking five eggs into a skillet without getting the cat food doesn’t register at first. Chan’s not stupid—he knows how bad regular dry food can be for cats, and he doesn’t have a lot to spend his money on besides rent and food for himself, so the cats get high-quality fresh food. Despite being horrible little devils, Chan loves them and wants them to be healthy. Finding a food they all liked was a bit of trial and error, but they’ve got it down now.“Oh, their food is in the left drawer in the fridge.” Sitting at the counter that doubles as his dining table, Chan sets Wonwoo down. He’s eyeing Soonyoung, wary, but Wonwoo has always been the least inclined to attack guests. If Chan didn’t know better, he’d call Wonwoo the mastermind of the shenanigans. “You know, where the vegetables usually go.”“Oh, do they not eat eggs?”Can cats eat eggs? It’s too fucking early in the morning for this. Chan looks down at Wonwoo, who blinks up at him.“Do you guys like eggs?” If someone else were over, Chan might feel embarrassed at the way he’s talking to his cats like they’re people. Wonwoo taps Chan’s arm twice, the signal they established for yes. Jihoon hisses and Jun doesn’t do anything. “Jihoonie doesn’t want eggs.”“What does Jihoonie want then?” Something about how Soonyoung says the question, almost teasing, feels off. Chan’s got too much to worry about, though, so he scoops Jihoon off his shoulder and sets him down on the counter next to Wonwoo. Jihoon looks at Chan, expectant, and Chan thinks what he’s about to do is definitely not going to get him a second date. He’s kind of sad about that, but the cats come first.“One for chicken and rice, two for your very expensive food you only eat like half the time.” Chan waits, and Jihoon flips over onto his back, looking cute. “No. This isn’t something where being cute is an answer. One or two, Jihoonie.”Jihoon meows once, although it’s soft enough Chan can at least pretend he feels sorry about it. He sighs and tries to remember he does, in fact, love his cats. It’s fine. This is why he keeps pre-cooked chicken breast on hand and his rice cooker is always full. Or at least partly full.“Chicken and rice?” Soonyoung’s turned to look at the Jihoon, who’s still exposing his belly cutely like that’s not the oldest trap in the kitty book. “You feed him rice?”“I looked it up, and it’s okay for him to eat sometimes,” Chan says. He doesn’t mention that Jihoon eats rice more “all the time” than “sometimes” as he scratches under Jihoon’s chin. Soonyoung can’t think he’s a bad cat dad. “He’s my spoiled little rice cake. Aren’t you? You’re the reason the rice cooker has a lock on it, yes you are.”Deciding he can afford to take his eyes off Wonwoo and Jihoon for the moment, Chan keeps one hand on Jun to keep him on his shoulder. Then Chan grabs a chicken breast from the fridge and the shredder. Jun moves from his shoulder to the top of his head when Chan moves to shred the chicken, and Chan’s so caught up in muscle memory he forgets Soonyoung is in his apartment until he speaks up again.“Do you feed them human food a lot?” Soonyoung doesn’t sound judgmental, more curious. Chan looks over at him and blinks. “Your cats seem to know the routine.”“Only Jihoon and Jun,” Chan says. It’s not that he doesn’t feed Wonwoo human food. He does, because all his cats are spoiled princes. It’s that he wouldn’t say he does it often, because Wonwoo is pretty content with the fancy food Chan buys. “Wonwoo is less picky than them.”“Interesting,” Soonyoung says, but it’s more to himself than anything. “You really love your cats, huh?”The question gives Chan pause. It’s not that he doesn’t, it’s that Soonyoung seems like he’s asking a different question, and Chan’s not sure what. Jun meows, making biscuits on Chan’s head, and he finishes up shredding the chicken to grab a bowl and undo the four separate locks on the rice cooker before scooping out some for Jihoon.“Isn’t it normal to want to take care of cute things?” He locks the rice cooker before spreading the chicken over the rice. “Besides, I couldn’t leave them out there.” Just as Soonyoung sets down two small plates with three eggs split between them, Chan sets the bowl for Jihoon down. The toaster oven dings, and Soonyoung moves to plate the bagels too. Making sure none of the cats steal food, Chan forgets why he shouldn’t reveal too much about how he got the cats.“What did you mean by ‘leave them out there’?” Soonyoung sets down Chan’s plate, and Chan immediately picks it up so Wonwoo doesn’t eat it. He has a thing for bread and bread-adjacent products. “I thought you adopted them.”“Not… exactly.” It’s possible Chan is kind of a bad cat dad. “They were living in the alleyway and I heard my neighbor saying he was going to call someone to take them away, so I panicked and put them in my apartment. Now they live here.”Soonyoung tilts his head like a cat that’s studying something. Chan shoves the bagel in his mouth to avoid Soonyoung’s judgment. He’s not even sure if he’s being judged—maybe it’s just his own anxieties acting up. The bagel’s good, though, so shoving it in his mouth isn’t too bad of a decision. He doesn’t miss the way Soonyoung doesn’t look away from him. The scrutiny sits weird on Chan’s frame, but he doesn’t know how to fix the situation. Then Soonyoung looks away, attention fixed on Wonwoo.“Are you guys seriously going to keep taking advantage of him like this?” Wonwoo looks up at Soonyoung and meows. Chan recognizes that, for some reason, he’s trying to look innocent. “Don’t ‘meow’ me. You guys have been living rent free in Channie’s apartment for months?? You’re a little terrorist who gets him to feed you rice!”Soonyoung points at Jihoon, who stares at him before flipping over onto his back again. He wiggles cutely and Soonyoung rolls his eyes. Chan feels like, somewhere in the last few minutes, he lost the plot of the conversation that’s happening.“Don’t try to aegyo your way out of this!” Soonyoung gestures behind him, where Chan still has a landline phone, because his mother has always stressed the importance of having it for emergencies. “I know you guys have fingers. You could have called me.”“What,” Chan says, because a key point about animals is they don’t have fingers. He’s definitely lost the plot of that’s going on. “They’re cats. Cats don’t have hands, because they’re cats…?”It comes out more of a question than Chan means it to, because he’s having second thoughts. Do cats have fingers? Secret cat fingers? Oh god. Did Soonyoung literally fuck the brains out of him? It’s a concerning possibility, given how thoroughly Chan got fucked last night.“This is what I mean. He doesn’t even know you’re hybrids!” Soonyoung reaches out to bonk Wonwoo on the head, which is a sibling move. Wonwoo meows in annoyance. “Apologize to Channie and stop monopolizing him.”Hybrids…? Chan knows hybrids exist. They’re pretty rare, though, and—oh god. Has he been feeding basically humans with cat genes cat food? He’s worse than a bad cat dad. He’s a war criminal who should be tried in the Hague. It explains how Jihoon kept getting into the rice maker even after Chan put locks on it, though.“Wait,” Chan says when the implications of his cats also being people with opposable thumbs sinks in, “is that how you guys keep getting into my room even when the door’s locked?”Three tiny, cute, fuzzy faces turn to look at him and blink like they’re innocent angels. Chan opens his mouth, closes it, opens it again, and then decides he can’t be having this conversation so early in the morning when he hasn’t even had breakfast. So he turns his attention back to the bagel and takes another bite. He hopes the bagel means Soonyoung didn’t just sleep with him to get to the hybrids. He’s so deep in thought about the possibility Soonyoung didn’t sleep with him because he likes him or anything that he misses Jihoon jumping off the counter until he hears an unfamiliar voice.“You broke him,” Chan hears, the unknown voice slightly whiny in a way that sounds like Jihoon begging for chicken. “You’re so fucking annoying, Soonyoung!”Unthinking, Chan turns toward the voice and only just stops himself from shrieking. There is a naked man in his apartment. Intellectually, Chan knows it must be one of the cats, so he looks down at the counter and—oh. That is Jihoon. What the fuck.“This is why grandma left me in charge,” Soonyoung mumbles. “None of you have any common sense.”He sets his bagel down on the counter and disappears down the hall. Wonwoo’s eyeing Soonyoung’s bagel, and Chan picks the plate up so he can’t get it. After a minute, Soonyoung returns holding one of Chan’s hoodies and throws it at Jihoon. Jihoon hisses, which is pretty fucking weird coming from a human and not a cat, but it’s not in the top five weirdest things that have happened this morning.“Put it on, stupid.” Soonyoung’s standing there, arms crossed, and Jihoon pulls the hoodie on like Soonyoung asked him to bathe in acid. It’s oversized on Chan, but Jihoon’s swimming in it. “Now explain. How did you guys end up here?”Jihoon hisses again, and Soonyoung reaches behind him to grab at the back of his neck. Apparently, scruffing works on hybrids too. Chan files that information away without thinking, like he’ll ever need to use it. Soonyoung waits for Jihoon to answer.“It was Jun’s idea,” Jihoon eventually says. “We went to the store, but a dog showed up. Wonwoo got spooked, and we chased him. We stopped in the alleyway, and we argued about how to get home. Then we were gonna steal clothes and go home as humans, but Channie picked us up.”“And you didn’t call me because…?”The question makes Jihoon squirm in Soonyoung’s hold. Chan sets Soonyoung’s bagel on the counter behind him and stands in front of it, before returning to eating his own bagel. It’s probably good he doesn’t have work today. He’s got all day to figure their situation out.“You guys,” Soonyoung says, tired, “forgot my number, didn’t you?”The silence from all three cats is answer enough. Chan laughs, just a little, and then it’s like once he’s started he can’t stop. His life is so weird. Yesterday he works up enough courage to talk to a hot guy at the bar, brings him home, has mind-blowingly hot sex. Today he wakes up, and now his devil cat children aren’t cats at all. They’re people who can be cat-shaped. Chan thinks he really must have left his brains behind last night. There’s no other explanation for this.“Channie? Are you okay?” Soonyoung sounds genuinely worried, and Chan tries to stop laughing. It just gives him the hiccups. “Jihoon might’ve been right for once. Did I break you? Shit. I was gonna ask you out on a date—”“Hey,” Jihoon says, cutting Soonyoung off, “I’m right a lot! You’re the stupid one.”“Sorry,” Chan says, hiccuping. He holds his breath to see if that helps. It doesn’t. “Sorry, I just. This has been a lot? Sorry, I just.”Taking a deep breath, Chan looks up at the ceiling and tries to collect his thoughts. Then what Soonyoung was saying catches up with him.“Wait, did you say you were going to ask me on a date?” Nothing feels real, so Chan feels like he needs to make sure he heard what Soonyoung said right. “Why?”“Because you’re really hot and you like cats?” Soonyoung’s tilting his head again, like he’s confused about what Chan’s saying. “I thought we had good chemistry. I wanna get to know you better. My brothers seem to like you.”There’s a lot to unpack in Soonyoung’s words, but Chan shoves everything in a box for later. Too much happened this morning and Chan needs to do some processing later. Not right now, though. Right now, he sets the rest of his bagel on the counter and closes the space between him and Soonyoung.“Okay,” Chan says. “ask me.”“Would you like to go on a date with me?” Soonyoung’s hand finds its way around Chan’s waist, pulling him close. “Tomorrow, maybe.”“Yeah.” Chan loops his arms around Soonyoung’s neck and tilts his head up to ask for a kiss. “I’d like that.”“Great.” Soonyoung murmurs the word against Chan’s lips. “I’m going to kiss you now.”Chan closes the gap between them, and lets Soonyoung deepen the kiss. It makes him forget Jihoon is still around until he hears Jihoon say “gross.” Wonwoo and Jun also make their annoyance known, and Chan pulls away with a sigh.Cats will be cats, he guesses.
