You will regret it” the vampire promised hanging up.True, this was a last resort, but he refused to give up hope that his siblings were gone forever after what his younger half-brother had said he did. He quickly entered the building feeling the rush of heat and hearing the heartbeats of the humans around him. He walked over to the young receptionist at the front desk about to turn his charm on her when a young child’s cry rang out in excitement “I can’t wait to meet my little brother or sister!”“LEAH! Slow down, darling!” a man’s voice answered as a light pressure collided with the Original’s leg.“Oomph!” Elijah looked down and froze at the familiar face and eyes staring up at him. It was Rebekah!Or at it would be if his precious sister was still four years old!But that was impossible, more so because neither he nor any of his siblings had children before turning and Vampires couldn’t have children. Yet here she was an identical replica.“Doppelganger?” his mind questioned, desperately trying to find a reason for what he was seeing. Wordlessly he helped the little girl up as her father arrived.“Thank you, sir, I’m so sorry about that. She got away from me in all the excitement.” He apologized as he took her hand from Elijah’s. “Leah… what do we say?” “Sorry sir. Sorry Daddy” the little girl mumbled as she kept her head low in embarrassment.“It’s alright, accidents happen but you need to stay with your parents little one. It’s dangerous” the original told her, smiling kindly. Her Father raised an eyebrow, “You have kids yourself?”“No, but I did look after my siblings. It’s important for you to stay together.” Elijah smiled sadly, as he once more looked over “Leah’s” face. “I must be going. Good luck and Congratulations to you both on the new member of the family.”“Bye” the little girl’s soft voice echoed in his ear as the vampire disappeared around a hallway corner to make a phone call.“Did you find them?” Jonas answered on the second ring.“No, I-! Wait! Did you say “them”? Elijah’s voice came off incredulously.“Yes, I did. The blood sample you gave me pointed to at least three Mikaelsons in the building.”The Original was in shock for the second time today. Numbingly he hung up on the Martin witch and shook his head. Could it be? But how? Was “Leah” actually Rebekah? Did a witch get a hold of them, and this was some sort of spell? But where was Niklaus? He could scarcely believe he would abandon her like that but then, His treacherous brother had said their siblings were at the bottom of the ocean. So many questions but he needed “Leah” to find out.Retracing his steps back to waiting room but father and daughter were both gone…
