As the morning light softly filtered through the curtains, it reached Donghwa’s face, waking him up. He gently opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was his boyfriend, Ziheng, sleeping soundly next to him. A grin beamed on his face as he was steadily gazing at Ziheng; his pretty lashes, his flawlessly sculpted nose, his alluring lips and his red hair that made him look ten times more adorable. He found every part of him beautiful, and before he knew it, his hand went up to his boyfriend’s face and rested on his cheek, his thumb gently caressing it.
Moments like these were when Donghwa realized just how deeply in love he was with Ziheng. Well, he was aware of it every waking second, but he especially cherished being alone with him in the same room, without pretending that they are just friends, and without holding back from staring helplessly at his boyfriend, or being extremely touchy with him.
Donghwa absolutely loved being physically close and affectionate with Ziheng, but he knew better than anyone that he had to limit himself in front of fans and the public. Ziheng’s touches had an immense impact on him–whenever they were in contact, his brain would short circuit, leaving him unable to form thoughts other than ones filled with Shao Ziheng. And if he indulged too much, it would reveal their secret relationship.
He envied how Ziheng easily concealed his feelings. It sometimes even made him worry that the relationship was one sided, especially since Donghwa is a very jealous person, and seeing how Ziheng can just comfortably be so close to other members made him feel uneasy at times. But being the most devoted boyfriend Donghwa could ask for, Ziheng always found ways to reassure him that he loves him, and that his heart belonged to Donghwa only.
Ziheng finally woke up, his eyes fluttered open before giving a sleepy smile to the older one and whispering a ‘Good morning’. Donghwa leaned forward and planted a kiss on his forehead. “Good morning, baby.” His voice was so calming, making Ziheng move closer, wrap his arms around him, and rest his head on his shoulder. “I wanna stay like this, you’re so warm.” Ziheng uttered.
It wasn’t everyday that they could spend days like this. But unfortunately this time, they had to leave early for their next schedule, so there wasn't as much room for morning snuggles as the day before.
“Donghwa hyung,” Ziheng slowly looked up, and locked eyes with Donghwa for a moment before suggesting, “Let’s go on a date!”
Donghwa raised an eyebrow. “But we already have a group schedule?”
“Next few days I mean, when we clear all our schedules,” He brought his hand up to move some hair strands from Donghwa’s face, a lousy excuse to touch more of him.
“We haven’t been on a real date before.” He pouted, and it took every ounce of Donghwa’s strength not to lean in and kiss his lips. Instead, he simply smiled and nodded. “I’ll plan everything hyung, you just have to worry about looking pretty.”
Before Donghwa could respond, Ziheng pressed a quick peck on his lips, giving him exactly what he wanted.
The two then got up from their bed, and had a shower together–trying to make the best out of the remaining time they have alone.
Donghwa was the first one to get dressed, so he sat on the edge of the bed, waiting for Ziheng. Saying he was watching him getting ready would be an understatement; Donghwa was admiring him, scanning every movement of his, glancing at his face, legs, hands and every part of his body, a foolish grin curled on his lips. Ziheng noticed through the mirror, “What?” He chuckled.
“Nothing, you’re just so pretty to look at.” His cheeks turned a certain shade of pink, yet his smile never left his face.
Ziheng put on his jacket and made his way towards Donghwa, then rested each arm on Donghwa’s shoulders, as he stood between his legs.
“And you’re so gorgeous,” He kissed his right cheek. “I still can’t believe all of this,” Then the left one. “Is mine.” He finished with a nuzzle, softly brushing their noses together.
Donghwa felt his heart skip a beat, he then instinctively pointed at his lips, slightly sticking them out as a silent demand. Ziheng giggled at his boyfriend’s antics, but he happily complied, leaning in for a sweet deep kiss.
They only pulled away when they heard Hangyul knocking at the door, urging them to leave their room. “We have to be at the airport in thirty minutes guys!” He reminded them behind the door.
Donghwa sat up and adjusted his shirt. “Yeah, let’s go before this turns into something more than a kiss.” His remark earned a giggle from Ziheng, who joined him at the door after getting his bags.
